On board our flights, we always strive to respond to the different needs of our customers.
But how does Corendon respond to passengers' needs when they face flight disruptions like delays, cancellations, overbooked flights, or missed connections? We’ll explore these answers and more, so keep reading.

Your Passenger Rights
European Union Regulations EU261 and UK regulation UK261 both protect your air passenger rights anytime you have a Corendon flight that departs from or arrives at an EU or UK airport. You will be protected by these rules no matter where you live or your country of origin.
Thanks to these regulations, when you have a flight that is canceled, delayed, oversold, or if you miss a connecting flight, the airline must provide you with
- Care and assistance (meals, refreshments, access to communication)
- Cash compensation
- Alternate flights
- Refunds
Flight Delays | Flight Cancellations | Denied Boarding |
Up to $650/€600 in compensation Care & Assistance | Up to $650/€600 in compensation Rebooked flight OR Refund Care & Assistance | Up to $650/€600 in compensation Rebooked flight OR Refund Care & Assistance |
Corendon Delayed Flights
These days a flight delay can seem like a standard feature of air travel. But thanks to the rules of EU and UK law, you can at least enjoy a meal and refreshments plus free access to communication if your departure is delayed by 2 or more hours.
Not only that, you may be entitled to cash compensation, but this will be based on how late you arrived at your final destination. For delays of 3 or more hours past your scheduled arrival time, Corendon is required to pay you as long as they are at fault.
If your Corendon flight is delayed by 5 hours or more, then you should be given the choice of a full refund or a rebooking plus monetary compensation when the carrier is at fault. The following table illustrates these different delay situations.
Length of Delay | Compensation & Entitlements |
2+ hour delays | Meals, refreshments, and access to communication |
3+ hour delays | Cash compensation if the airline is at fault |
5+ hour delays | Option of rebooking or refund + potential cash compensation |

We assume all legal costs
All you have to do is submit the application and wait for the compensation to be received
Canceled Flights
So, what happens if your Corendon flight is canceled? Well, the answer depends on when you were notified.
More than 14-days notice: You will be entitled to a rebooked flight at no extra charge or a refund but financial compensation will not be required of the airline.
Less than 14-days notice: Corendon must supply you with the following:
- Rebooked flight or
- Cash refund
- Care and assistance (for delays at the airport that last 2 hours or more)
- Overnight hotel accommodation and transport for delays that require you to wait until the next day
- Cash compensation if the disruptions was not due to extraordinary events
Corendon Airlines Flight Refund policy
A flight compensation and a refund are two different things. Regulations allow you to receive both: a cancellation refund and compensation.
In case of a cancellation, an airline will try to re-book you on the similar flight, but if that becomes impossible, a cancellation refund will be a full cash refund. Generally, your claim would succeed, providing there were no extraordinary circumstances beyond airline control.
If Corendon Airlines cancels your flight to extraordinary circumstances (such as Covid travel restrictions or a serious illness) and you were offered no replacement flight, you can obtain a ticket refund in full, since your flights booked were not available.
Types of ticket refunds: A full refund must be in cash or credit. Vouchers are allowed only if you specifically agree to it. We do not recommend accepting vouchers due to short expiry dates and potential restrictions on redemption.
Note: If Corendon Airlines offers a replacement flight with approximately the same arrival time and you decide not to take it, there is a possibility of you losing the right to get both compensation and a ticket refund.
Rule of thumb: you can generally reject alternative flights and receive a refund in full, if a new replacement flight arrives 3+ hours later from your initial scheduled arrival time.
Involuntary Denied Boarding
Corendon and other airlines will sometimes sell more tickets than seats available to ensure that they have a fully booked aircraft. This is called overbooking, and if you’re denied boarding as a result, then the carrier is required to provide you with:
- A replacement flight or
- A refund and
- Cash compensation
However if unruly behaviour or arriving at the gate late or without the correct documentation causes you to be denied boarding, then you will not be able to get compensated.
Missed Connections
Your passenger rights also protect you in the case of missed connections. More specifically, if your earlier flights on the same booking were delayed or canceled, and you missed your connection as a result, then you can expect Corendon to give you an alternate flight either to your next connecting point or your final destination. You can also get cash compensation based on the length of your delay at your final stop provided no extraordinary circumstances were to blame.
Cash Compensation Amounts
The amount of cash compensation you receive from Corendon is based on:
- The extent or your delay
- The distance of your flight.
Delay Time | Flight Distance
Flights under 1,500km | Flights between 1,500-3,500km | Flights over 3,500km
Over 3 hours | €250 | €400 | €600* |
Under 3 hours | €0 |
* Corendon might try to reduce this amount by as much as 50%, but AirAdvisor always works to get the full amount.
What is the Time Limit for Compensation Claims?
You have up to six years to contact Corendon Airlines and collect your compensation and ticket refunds.
Extraordinary Circumstances
Based on the rules of EU regulations, Corendon is exempt from paying you compensation when extraordinary circumstances are to blame for your flight disruption. So, if your delay or cancellation was the result of the following situations, you won’t be eligible for monetary compensation, but you will still be offered a rebooking or a refund.
Examples of extraordinary circumstances
- Airport strikes
- Severe weather
- Natural disasters
- Civil unrest
- Security threats
- Air traffic control restrictions
