World2Fly might be a small airline, but they’re still responsible for taking care of passengers when they encounter flight disruptions. If you’ve ever had a delay, cancellation, missed connection, or denied boarding incident with this carrier, you might be able to get compensated for the inconvenience as well as other benefits while you’re at the airport.
Let’s jump into the different disruptions and what you can expect.
What to Know About World2Fly Delays
If you’ve ever had a delayed flight, you know the grief it can cause, so to minimise your frustration, here are some steps you should take as soon as you find out about a delay.
- Ask a World2Fly rep or gate agent what led to the delay.
- Document as much as possible about the situation. Snap photos of the weather outside or take a screenshot of the delay notification.
- Save receipts if you make any out-of-pocket purchases for essentials like food or drink.
As a Spanish airline, World2Fly must adhere to the rules of the European Union, meaning that if your delay happens at the airport and you have to wait 2+ hours, you should receive care and assistance in the form of 2 free calls or emails, food and drink, and overnight lodging and related transportation if you’re forced to wait overnight.
If you have to wait for 5 hours because of a World2Fly delay, then you’re owed a full refund OR a replacement flight at no extra cost. You’re also entitled to a flight back to your original departure point if your travel plans are useless because of the disruption.
If you arrive 3 or more hours late at your final destination, you could get between €250-€600 as long as the airline was responsible for the delayFind out if your World2Fly flight qualifies for cash compensation! Enter your flight details below!Free Compensation Checker
World2Fly Cancellations
Cancellations are the bane of every traveller, but here’s what you need to know.
Was your flight canceled 2 weeks or more before departure? If so, you won’t be able to get cash compensation, but you are entitled to a rebooking OR a refund without any added fees. However, if your flight was canceled within 14 days of departure, then you can get a refund or a rebooking, but also cash compensation if the airline could have prevented the issue causing the cancellation.
If the cancellation is super short notice, and you’re at the airport, you’re owed the same care and assistance provisions we mention above in the delays section, particularly when you choose a rebooking and have to wait awhile before departure - whether that means 2 hours or overnight.
You could get compensation for a canceled flight if you were notified less than 2 weeks prior to departure AND the airline is at fault.
Here’s what to do when your World2Fly flight is canceled
- Ask World2Fly representatives what caused the canceled flight.
- Search for alternates or ask for a rebooking.
- If nothing works for you, ask for a refund.
- Request care and assistance if you wait at least 2 hours
- Keep receipts for any expenses and document as much as possible. You’ll need this for filing a claim.
- Write down what time you arrive at your destination. You could also get delay compensation if your new flight is more than 3 hours late.

Denied Boarding with World2Fly
Occasionally, airlines will sell more tickets than available seats, leading to denied boarding for some passengers. If you don’t accept an offer to relinquish your seat, and you bumped from the flight, then you will be given the choice of an alternate flight or a refund. You can also get cash compensation for this huge inconvenience.
Missed Connecting Flights
If an earlier World2Fly flight was late or canceled and you miss your connection, then you again will be taken care of by the airline. They are required to provide you with another flight at the earliest convenience or a refund, as well as a trip back to your point of origin if the journey doesn’t serve any purpose.
You might also get compensation if you arrive 3+ hours late and the disruption couldn’t be prevented or avoided.
World2Fly Compensation: How Much Can You Get
Compensation is based on the length of your delay and the overall distance of your flight as you can see below.
Flights under 1,500km | Flights between 1,500-3,500km | Flights over 3,500km |
£220 | £350 | £520* |
*World2Fly might try to reduce this amount by as much as 50%, but AirAdvisor always works to get the full amount.
Is Compensation Guaranteed?
Passengers are only eligible for cash compensation if the airline could have prevented the flight disruption from happening. So, if your flight was canceled or delayed by something World2Fly couldn’t control like civil unrest, severe and unavoidable storms, or airport problems, then you wouldn’t be able to collect cash repayment. These situations are known as extraordinary circumstances.
Your Passenger Rights
These entitlements aren’t airline policies but official passenger rights regulations in the European Union called Regulation EC 261/2004. They protect all passengers that fly with World2Fly to, from, and within the EU.
How to File a Compensation Claim with World2Fly
We’ve talked about how it’s important to document everything and save receipts when your flight is interrupted, and here’s where this will come in handy. Gather all your flight documents and supporting evidence, and go to the World2Fly site and look for the Customer Care section.
Scroll down the page until you see Claims About Services. As you’ll see, there is a form you can choose to complete. All you have to do is enter the requested information, upload your supporting documents and submit.
Will World2Fly Respond to Your Claim?
Yes, they should respond and tell you their decision within a few weeks, but many passengers have run into problems with delayed responses from the airline or denial of their claims. Other passengers have reported communications issues and glitches in the webform.
