LOT Compensation for Flight Delays and Cancellations

I was supposed to leave the USA on June 2, 2023 and arrive to Krakow, Poland on June 3, 2023 (with a transfer in Warsaw, Poland on June 3, 2023). After I registered for the flight and less than 12 hours before the flight, I was notified by LOT airline that my entire flight was cancelled. As an alternative, I was offered to depart more than 24 hours later, on June 3, 2023 and fly by Finnair airline from New York, USA to Helsinki, Finland, and then from Helsinki to Krakow, Poland. My arrival time moved from June 3 to June 4. Due to the lack of other options, I chose that flight and eventually arrived in Krakow with a delay of more than 24 hours. Since my final destination in Poland was not even Krakow, but a town that is more than 120 km away from Krakow, prior to the above changes my family had arranged my pick up from the airport. As a result of the flight cancellation, my pick up time changed from June 3 to June 4, which caused additional inconvenience to my family. But what is more important, I missed the celebration of the First Reconciliation (Confession) of my godson (which took place on June 3, 2023) and missed the rehearsal of his First Holy Communion ceremony which was scheduled for the morning of June 4, 2023. The purpose of my entire trip to Poland was to be with my family during this special time. Before that, I had not seen my family for about 4 years, and it was very important for all of us to meet, prepare and celebrate these significant events together. However, this was taken from us. In addition, the delay shortened my already short vacation by 1 day.

We were told that Belgrade - Warsaw flight was delayed due to closure of runway at Belgrade airport. This resulted in me missing the Warsaw - Delhi connecting flight

The flight from Yerevan to Warsaw got delayed, and i missed my flight to amsterdam from Warsaw. The total delay was three hours

My flight from Paris CDG airport originally at 19.40 was delayed by 90 minutes and reached Warsaw at 23.20. I hada connecting flight from Warsaw to Wrocław which was originally at 22.35 was changed to the next day morning at 7.00. I will arrive at my final destination at 8.00 the next day, a total of 8.5h later. I missed my taxi that I had booked for 30€, I missed my hotel booking the previous day and I lost 62.39 €. I have to rebook the hotel, I will miss the meeting I had at 8.00 AM.

My flight from Toronto, Canada, to Warsaw, Poland, was supposed to leave YYZ airport at 22:15 on July 11th, 2022. The flight was initially delayed to 23:30, and boarding was supposed to start at 11 pm. However, crew members began the boarding process at 11:30 pm, and the flight left YYZ airport at around 12:30 am on July 12th, 2022. The flight arrived at Warsaw Chopin airport at 2:30 pm on July 12th (around a 2 hours delay from the original time). My connecting flight to Bulgaria (LO633) was scheduled to leave at 2:45 pm on July 12th, and it left on time. I missed my connecting flight from Warsaw to Sofia because of the initial unexplained delay in Toronto. I had to spend the night at a hotel in Warsaw, and I was automatically rescheduled for flight number LO631 on July 13th. I arrived in Sofia, Bulgaria, at 2 pm on July 13th, around 20 hours later than I was initially supposed to arrive. I was currently 20 at the time of the events and travelling alone. I was forced to spend the night at a hotel alone and arrive at my destination 20 hours later than expected. I missed an important event that I had scheduled on the 12th because of the initial delay in Toronto, which was completely unexplained.

Hi please help LOT is not giving me a refund on a flight they cancelled and I was left in the Nice airport for 11 hours. They got me another flight after 11 hours and I used it but they said they cant give me money back on a flight that was used. But it wasnt used it was cancelled by them and they only got me another flight but 11 hours later. And I wasnt able to see a friend in Poland because of it.

Actually we did not get any info regarding the cancellation and usually day or two before the flight you get notified about to get ready for your flight and on line check in. Our flight was delayed for 1 week as there was no other option, that was told to us by LOT agent. Hello I am not sure what you are asking again. I had flight for October 7 and was canceled by LOT air without notifying me. When I went 24 h before to do on line check in , and could not do it, I found out that they cancel the flight on 7 th. The LOT agent was so rude and unprofessional handling the situation and I had to call again and hoping to talk to other agent. That I have found out that I can have a flight next week , one week later that my original date.

Hi there, I was supposed to have a flight with you on the 25th of august from Flores in Guatemala to Cancun in Mexico. Reservation number 007XXX, FRS - CUN 5U210 25th of august, TG-TAT, Raphael and Delphine. This flight was canceled and I did not get any emails, calls to be informed about that (I checked my spam also). On the website of the airport of Flores it was written a schedule as well. I was at the airport of Flores Guatemala with my wife on the 25th of august and our flight was canceled and we had to fly to Guatemala city to catch a new flight from Guatemala city to Cancun on the 26th of august with a time arriving at 12pm that mean missing our flight to Paris with a stop in Dallas for the day. And we missed our flight from Cancun to Paris (with a stop in Dallas) on the 26th at 6am. We found a solution to change our flight on the 27th from Cancun to Paris. But we missed: -Our Hotel in Cancun on the 25th of august 189€ (attached) -My reservation of a car in Dallas on the 26th of august 61.68 $ -Had to book a new hotel in Cancun on the 27th of august. -Taxi in Guatemala city to the Hotel Las america 50 Quetzal - A taxi in Cancun Airport to our hotel 50€ on the 26th - A taxi from our Hotel to the airport on the 27th 45€ -Repayment of the reservation 312€ of the flight Flores -Cancun All documents attached I am looking to have an entiere repayment of all this cost from you. Hello, 320 is the total ammount for all flights . They did not specify individual flights. Also i managed to get on a bus to warsaw so i could take the flight from Warsaw to Bucharest , even if the Gdansk one was cancelled. Also the airline does not respond to me, to my emails (they cannot be sent ) or respond on the phone (30m wait and nothing) . I payed for the bus out of my own pocket.

Our flight got delayed for about 1 hour until they told us it is cancelled they got us a flight the next day but it was connected and my daughter who is 13 was travelling by herself

I have booked a ticket from Bucharest to Poznan (via Warsaw) on September 12th. Scheduled departure of the flight from Bucharest to Warsaw was 05:45 RO time (flight LO644) and the departure of the flight from Warsaw to Poznan was 10:25 PL time (flight LO3945). Based on scheduled I should have arrived in Poznan at 11:20 PL time. Unfortunately, when I arrived on Henri Coanda airport in Bucharest I have received an e-mail about of a delay of the flight (it was rescheduled at 15:30 RO time) without any detail about the cause of the delay! Also I received no detail in Bucharest airport at checkin. Note that I could change only the boarding pass from the first flight (from Bucharest to Warsaw, LO644), but not the ticket from Warsaw to Poznan (so at that moment I really didn't know if I could fly from Warsaw to Poznan!). As a consequence of such a delay (more than 10 hours), I missed the initial flight to Poznan (LO3945). When I arrived in Warsaw airport (about 17:15 PL time) I had to stay at a very long queue at the transfer desk with only hope to get a ticket for Poznan! The only flight available at that time was at 22:35 PL time, so I arrived in Poznan at about 23:20 PL time, about 12 hours later than the scheduled time! Because of the delay I missed an important meeting at the office and the entire visit scheduled was disturbed!

During my flight from Warsaw to Amsterdam, my luggage has been broken , i found out about that only when i arrived to the hotel. and at the return The flight was supposed to arrive to warsaw at 12:20 however we arrived at 14:00 , in addition to that i havent received my luggage, and i found out that it still in Amsterdam , i stayed from 14:40 till 16:20 in the airport, i wasn't able to go to the office on time

Hi my first flight from Chicago to Warsaw delayed and we missed our connection which lead to delay more than 24 hours and totally change my travel plans

Flight to Warsaw from NYC was delayed for over 8 hours and because of this connecting flight to Tirana was not possible to make until the next day .

Flight to Warsaw was delayed thus making it impossible to get to connected flight to final destination RIX.

I had to sleep in Warsaw Airport because of my flight arrived late. The plane to Beirut was already gone. LOT booked me in a hotel at Warsaw so I had to sleep a whole night. The airline did not tell me reasons of why my flight was delayed. You told me that you had to book me in Turkish Airline if I wanted to come faster to Beirut. So you booked me in with Turkish Airline and I had to fly with Turkish Airline and land in Turkey before landing in Beirut..

The reason provided: "We regret to inform you that due to the decision of London Heathrow Airport authorities, we are forced to limit the number of passengers travelling on LOT Polish Airlines flights, your reservation has been cancelled. We apologize for the inconvenience caused. " The closest flight I was offered was only 9 days after the original flight. The ticket wasn't refunded immediately, but I will have to wait 44 days for the refund to be processed.

Airline didn't provide the hotel and just gave a cup of water. I were 5 hrs in the plane and after another 8 hrs waiting for the next flight. I had 19 bags to recheck in again

the flight TPXXX was delayed ( LO2340 )that caused to miss the flight to beirut. all other flights were fully booked . no three places were available since I was travelling with my kids 9 12 years and 7 years.

The flight was supposed to depart at 14:35 Bucharest time. At first the flight was displayed as "delayed" for about 10 hours (time spent on Otopeni Airport waiting to board). At about 0:00 AM they announced the flight was canceled and we were offered another flight next morning at 6AM. Due to this event I lost my connecting flight from Warsaw to Berlin and had to wait another 9 hours on Warsaw Airport. I arrived to Berlin with a total of delay of 24 hours.

our new eta at our final destination is 10 pm. We were notified by our traveling agent a few days prior to departure about this cancellation. The airline provided NO care, we explained our situation at the transfer center and then just told us to look up this form. We missed an important family wedding anniversary event.

We needed to book a hotel in Warzawe and then book a flight through Munich-GOT to get home

I have arrived at the Airport in Tbilisi and found out my flight was delayed for an hour and 40 min when I arrived at Warsaw my plane was departured and had to wait over 4 hours to get to London was offered an alternative to fly by British Airways and also my baggage has gone missing still don't know where it is. Very disappointed.

We purchased 2 return (two ways) business class tickets from LOT in February. During our holiday LOT cancelled our return flight scheduled for 16th March 2020 from Los Angeles to Warsaw and from Warsaw to Budapest. LOT declined to rebook us to any codeshare flight to make sure we return home (there were many operating flights at that time). Communication was also very poor by LOT about the cancellation. As a consequence I purchased an equivalent ticket on my own so we could return home. I am seeking LOT to compensate me for this ticket purchase. Some months later LOT paid us back just the cost of our return ticket originally purchased from them (some 2000 USD) not even the full ticket price. However our cost to return home was about 7000 USD. I would like to claim this difference, about 5000 USD. Since it happened a year ago I am seeking compensation for late interest and communication cost plus unexpected banking cost as well. On 24/11, I received an email from LOT, stating the following: 'We regret to inform that due to the administrative decision to suspend air traffic between Serbia and Poland, all PLL LOT flights scheduled on this route from September 25 to December 18, are cancelled.' However, this is wrong because I used this same airline to travel from London to Belgrade, via Warsaw, only a couple of weeks earlier. I have proof of this, should you need it. Please note, the airliner did promise to refund the ticket, but as yet, failed to do so.

I have a French visa D-type in France. It allows me to enter via any of the European Union countries, multi-type. At the time, when the flight tickets were bought it was no problems with a lockdown in Switzerland or Poland. But on the 1st of September Poland closes its borders for Ukrainians, it was the reason for an airline not to board me. I had current for the 48 hours negative Cvid-19 test, but they didn`t ask me about that. Also, at the airport, they give me a document with the reason not to board me (REFUSED BECAUSE OF COVID 19). Also, I have bought a train ticket from Geneva to Grenoble, but I also lose it and couldnt ask for a refund, because i didn`t come to Geneva at that day and it was too late to ask for refund. On 03/Sep/19 we were supposed to take the flight LO594 from From SKOPJE INTERNATIONAL to WARSAW FREDERIC CHOPIN at 17:15 and the flight LO269 from WARSAW FREDERIC CHOPIN to AMSTERDAM SCHIPHOL AIRPORT (final destination) at 19:55, offered by the company LOT. When in the SKOPJE INTERNATIONAL, firstly it was announced that the flight was 3 hours delayed and then that it was cancelled. After 5 hours of waiting in a slow queue we were reallocated to another flight on the following day. The company provided us accommodation, transport and meal, but the situation was badly conducted and caused lots of inconvenience, including lost hours of work.

The flight was canceled and I wasn’t even informed about it.
