BE 1026 Flight Delayed: Compensation
If you are experiencing a flight delay with your Flybe flight BE 1026 flying out of Amsterdam en route to Birmingham, there might be flight delay compensation that you could be entitled to. However you should bear in mind that the eligibility depends on the specific details of the disruption. Regulation EU EC261/ 2004 protects the rights to monetary compensation for every passenger in cases of delay, no matter how much the original ticket cost and whether or not it was purchased by you or by somebody else on your behalf.
That being said, it should be noted that the EU Regulation obliges the Flybe to pay compensation only in cases where the delay is longer than 3 hours. The amount of time you are delayed is determined by how late you arrive at your final destination, not by how long you wait at the airport. The number of kilometres you have to travel between Birmingham and Amsterdam will be the most determining point in establishing the amount of monetary compensation you could be claiming for your flight BE 1026.
Tip: In cases relating to connecting flight delay compensation when your journey consists of two flights booked under the same reservation number, you can claim compensation for the distance between the Amsterdam and the Birmingham.

My flight to Holland was delayed 2.5 hrs and coming back over 4 hrs this spoiled my holiday
We were told that the flight was delayed until 7:55pm, but we were sitting at the gate from 7:25 and only started to board at 8:30. We received no information that boarding would be late from the airline. We arrived in Birmingham after 9pm local time, when we were supposed to arrive at 6:10pm.
It was a total delay of 6 hours and 30 minutes. I was not informed why was delayed the first 4 hours but the the rest of the delays where a mix of technical issues and incompetences. At the beginning after the first delay they said we would departure at 22:20. At 22:00 they announce that it would be another delay of an hour, 23:20. Then, we thought that would be it once we were boarding but not, it wasn't the case. Because they needed to refill the tank which they found later there was a leak in it and they had to change. After one hour and ten minutes the aircraft started to move. It was moving in the airport field for around ten minutes before departure but, finally we were moving so i could feel relieve somehow. The flight was good, not too much turbulence and then we got to our destination in a normal time and when we thought that finally we could get out of the plain then another issue which I couldn’t get, make us wait 10 minutes before get out of the plain. Considering as well that I had a train schedule for 8pm which I have to reschedule on fist delay and of course pay for it. Then I miss that one due to the second delay. By the time I got in my destination there wasn't any trains or connections available so I had to pay for a hotel. Summing up, was an awful experience on my end and annoyed by the fact that mi time was not considered.
