We received notification from the airline before we left Helsinki that our Boston flight would be delayed, but of course, we still took the Helsinki flight. No clear reason was ever stated to us. The gate agent said there were some equipment issues, or that it might have had to do with a power outage in New York. Bottom line: we spent hours at Schiphol...
Our flight DL 259 to BOS was delayed over 1.50 hours once we finally arrived in BOS - we were held on the plane for an additional 45 minutes because the door was not engaging properly therefore we missed our connecting flight BOS to FLL which was on time! We then had to find a new flight which Delta had none that day and we ended up finding a flight with JetBlue. After a more than 22 hours travel ordeal we arrive in FLL at 1:30am EST. My request is simple, I respectfully ask that we receive a refund for all three passengers on the credit card that was used to purchase originally. Our total round trip fares were as follows: Elsa - $889.47 We merely ask to refund our BOS to FLL Flight DL967. We were given 5000 miles however that is not satisfactory by any means. It was the trip of a lifetime and the travel was horrendous!! Marlene
They didn't tell us what was the problem, but the just apologized, because we were late around 6 hours. We were supposed to come to Boston around 1 p.m. (but we were there around 5-6 p.m.) and because we were late, I missed my only one bus for Bangor, Maine and because of that I was supposed to stay in Boston and to spent more money. This is my first year in America and i were sleeping in Hilton Hotel on airport in Boston, also have a bill.
