I had a direct flight and it was urgent for me to arrive in Salt Lake City before 5 pm. Later they put me 2 connecting flights and I did not get my luggage. I filed for lost luggage claim. It was a bad experience.
We didn’t find out about the cancellation until after we arrived at the airport. We had already turned in our rental car. We went to a help desk and were provided with accommodation, transport and meal vouchers. However upon arrival at the hotel it took over an hour for us to be assigned a room. Waiting in a lobby, etc. the meal vouchers provided were barely enough for a very basic meal, with only water offered. The vouchers were not enough to cover the evening meal at the hotel restaurant as the only meal on offer was a £70/per person set menu for New Year’s Eve.
