Our original flight was set to board at 320 we were then delayed 3 hours and everyone started to ask questions and complaining. The staff did not provide us any answers and just kept saying our flight would be delayed. About an hour later the jet2 people said the staff from the plane has refused to work due to they would be working over hours and would not be payed. We were told there was another plane coming for our flight but because of the staff issue the plane had to be smaller. Therefor this led to the jet 2 people saying that 92 people would not be able to get on the flight this led to people kicking off as how could they expect Almost 100 people to voulenteer to not get on the flight. Because of the mix up they offered each passenger £8 to spend in the airport however all the shops by this time were closed and everwrre that was open including Burger King, boots and WHSmith would not accept the £8 since it was on our boarding passes . Jet 2 then eventually found us another plane to avoid the 90 people from missing their flight, our plane eventually turned up around 10 and we took off at 1130. We reached Tenerife at 330 which was 6 hours later than we should have been there.
