We were traveling to Warsaw for the funeral of a loved one. We booked late and had to pay £750 for the flights. Flight was delayed due to loading issues at the airport and eventually canceled for that day and delayed overnight. At this point we realised that we would not make the funeral so we went home instead of trying to book airports and everything. No one to talk to at the airport, called the £1 per minute customer care line, waited for 30 minutes and then they hung up on us. We went home and applied for a refund but no contact from the airline. No amount of compensation will make up for the grief and trauma of missing a funeral but we want to just get our money back and get on with our lives without weeks of calling and screaming at people down phone lines.
