Flight cancelled less than two hours before departure. Passengers were in the terminal awaiting boarding but Aer Lingus cancelled only our flight and none others, due to issues at the airport.

First there was a delay, then we boarded the plane but because of a technical issue we had to disembark and stay overnight until a flight was organised for the next day.

When I came to check in to the airport and asked them to change my flight to the next day, they told that there is no problem and I can do this online. But when I tried to do this via their website it was written that "flight this flight has already flown"! How it could be if even checkin process wasn't finished at that moment? They pushed me to buy the same ticket for the next day!!! I've paid twice. I've made a call to their call center (no feedback!) and made an online-claim for refund on Aer Lingus website, also no feedback.

The night before our flight I received a text message saying the flight was cancelled and no reason was provided. Clearly Aer Lingus could have flown but chose not too. I was stuck in Amsterdam for an extra two days

The airline did nothing to assist us with the 9.5 hour wait in LAX and as my 75 year old father was struggling with the conditions in the airport I paid $130 to enter the star lounge at LAX to provide him with a level of comfort he could handle.

It was not crew rest but a BA decision. No announcements or FIDS update were made. We found out about the departure via the restaurant staff. BA did provide food vouchers and hotel overnight.

I raised claim with British airways but they refused the claim by stating that its an air traffic control restriction which was outside their control and hence under EU legislation they are not liable for any compensation.

We were put on next flight to London with another carrier Virgin, and accomodated by British airways overnight in London. We were rebooked to Toronto the next day. No reason for delay was given accept that the system had issues in London.

The flight was overbooked and they couldn't give me a seat after waiting To be honest I am not just happy with having a refund but I also want to tell British Airways and other airlines that they can't overbook a flight, because it's so inhuman if they don't have enought seats. Unfortunately, they couldn't do anything for me and I went back home.
