Missed connection/no compensation for hotel. There was only one hotel on the reservation despite there being two of us on the reservation.
Missed connection flight in LAX which could have been prevented if it was communicated to next flight. We ran to the gate and missed it by a minute. Also we were only compensated for one hotel room when it should have been two. After being on hold for over 20 minutes with the help desk they told me to charge my card and reach out for compensation after. When I responded to the original email it said that it was a no reply and I had to google this site. She told me that she was going to send me a follow up email and I asked for one as well to prevent any issues.Overall
Flight was missed in LAX. Ran to gate and missed by one minute. No communication from staff to next flight we could have made it if they did.

No reason given
I've contacted El Al and Air France many many many times. All I ever got was being bounced around from one to the other. They each said I would be placed on another El Al flight but they never did, and I was stranded and had to purchase my own replacement flight from El Al in order to get to my original destination- Atlanta-Tel-aviv

Problems at airport
Our original flight was supposed to go from VPS to Atlanta to Dublin. Our flight was delayed leaving VPS so they rebooked us on KLMβs flight to Amsterdam and then to Dublin. Our bags never made either of those flights. Our original plan was to arrive in Dublin at 7:45 AM on March 11 we did not get there until 6:30 PM on March 11. Our bags did not arrive until 7:45 AM on March 12 we had to stay in Dublin to wait for our bags as our original itinerary. If we had gotten there on time, we were supposed to drive to Belfast in Northern Ireland, which they would not deliver our bags too so we had to wait the additional night in Dublin to get our bags the next morning, losing an entire day of our vacation not to mention not having toiletries as you can see on the receipts. I did stop at a local pharmacy and purchase those things. We had to pay for a hotel in Dublin and lost the money that we had paid for our hotel in Belfast because it was too late to cancel it. Also our reservations for the Titanic museum for the that day on March 11 we were supposed to go at 1 PM and weβre not able to due to this flight delay and change we lost 65 pounds each by not going on that tour on March 11 at 1 PM we also lost our hotel of 130 pounds in Belfast for March 11. So all in all we lost over 24 hours of our trip being delayed in flights and having our bags delayed a complete 24 hours we are asking that at least the β¬257 that I showed these receipts for be reimbursed/ the exchange in US currency. As these are direct expenses due to our bags being delayed. I do have clothing receipts however they got wet and damaged and canβt read the amounts on them unfortunately so I am uncertain if I can claim them, but it was β¬110 total that was purchased on the evening of March 11 to wear the following day while we waited for our bags. In addition the list of our hotel in Belfast for march 11 was 130 pounds and the loss of our tour white star at the Titanic Museum in Belfast for March 11 at 1 PM was 65 pounds each totaling 130 pounds. These are all direct financial losses due to flights being delayed and bags being delayed. We arrived well beyond the three hour late in your policy and our bags were full 24 hours late.- Valparaiso-Dublin

Your flight attendants wrongness
As I was trying to obtain my duty free gift I have purchased it before bording my airplane in, I've forgotten to pick up at the bording area and aborded in and seated at 30H, as I have noticed it to pick it up and I was trying to go out to pick it up but two of your flight attendants said they were bringing to me at my seat and saying waiting for it. But they had never brought it to me at all. These 2 your flight attendants was lied me and never come back and saying nothing about my very important duty free gift I bought at Seatac airport duty free shop for my business associates important gift, lost by two of your flight attendants' lying intentionally I think. 3/6(Fri) Lv 11am Sea 3/7(Sat) Ar 2pm Hnd My Seat 30H I am 1 million miles flying with Delta Airline for almost 40 years. Mutsumi Nakamura I am so upset about your 2 flight attendants, local Japanese emplee, I think of. They have lost of Omotenashi, real Japanese kindness manner and heart, not lying and whatever. I am still bad feeling about this incident, never forget it. Lying is loosing my trust to your entire flight attendants entirely. Truly yours.Overall

Delayed Bag β Lack of Communication & Insufficient Compensation
My checked luggage (Bag Tag DL673346) was delayed for more than four days during my recent business trip to Paris (Confirmation JPGIFJ). Throughout the entire delay, I received no communication or updates from Delta, despite repeatedly checking tracking tools and calling support. I was told I would be notified when the bag was out for delivery, but no notification was ever sent, resulting in further delivery delays. This caused significant disruption to an important business trip and left me without essential items for several days. As a Gold Medallion member, I am extremely disappointed in the handling and lack of communication. Additionally, the $50/day compensation offered by Delta is not sufficient and does not align with U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, which require airlines to reimburse passengers for reasonable and verifiable expenses incurred due to delayed baggage and prohibit arbitrary daily reimbursement caps. My required replacement items over the fiveβday delay totaled approximately β¬500, which is well within the reasonable expense category defined by DOT. I am requesting full reimbursement of these documented expenses, a clear explanation of what occurred, and confirmation of the corrective steps Delta will take to prevent recurrence. Receipts attached. SkyMiles: 9017083388. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.Overall

Unfairly blamed by flight attendant, and harassed by another passenger(s), making us feel threatened and bullied.
1) FLIGHT from Detroit to SFO to depart at 12:15 did not depart until 1pm due to supposed 1) cleaning 2) minor maintenance, and 3) paper work to be given to captain. 2) I sat first class and my spouse sat next to me. 3) Passengers behind us were mother with child in first class and (partner/husband) and husbandβs mother (mother in-law of childβs mother) in and husbandβs father (father in-law of childβs mother) in first class across. 4) Incident: The 1 to 2 year old female child began screeching in high pitch, as the mother minimally intervened (shh), while sitting behind my spouse. The screeching child began kicking the back of my spouseβs seat in front of her and the mother did not stop her. I could feel my seat shake from that and looked at my spouse with disbelief and looked at the mother behind me with an inquisitive look raising my hands to signal βwhat is going on?β 5) I had my ear plugs in due to the childβs squealing and screeching, already in attempt to muffle this unpleasant disturbance when the child starting screeching in high pitch already before the plane started taxiing. 6) I returned facing forward in my seat shaking my head, and the mother saw this and immediately attacked me verbally stating, to her male companion, βOh heβs shaking his head, heβs shaking his head, heβs not even wearing ear plugs,β to which her male companion corrected her and said that I was wearing earplugs (as if I was supposed to). She proceeded to say to her child aloud, βhe is a rude person and immature. Heβs immature and rude.β Then she went into a diatribe with her male companion about threats and how rude I am. 7) The mother behind then aggressively addressed me from behind, stating, βDo you want to talk about this? Is there a problem here?β As if she was teasing or provoking me to create an altercation or pick a fight. 8) With my ear plugs in, I said, βI do not want to talk to you.β βYes.β She said condescendingly, βoh so you have a problem?β I responded, βYes, there is a problem, and you know what it is.β She then proceeded with her diatribe with her husband, and I tried to ignore it, focusing on the TV screen in front of me, and trying to close my eyes to rest. 9) I can sense the child being moved to the Mother in-law, and I felt the woman from behind get up, and as she passed by behind my seat to the isle; she aggressively shoved my seat from behind very hard two times, with a third shove, stunning and jolting me. My partner said he could feel this shoving on his side. I opened my eyes in shock and explained, βJesus Christ!β The mother of the child from from behind then walked by my seat, stopped and turned and glared at me while her male companion was behind her. Her mother in law likely took the baby and was holding it at this point. My spouse informed me that as the mother of the child behind got up she smirked at him as if to say, βWatch what Iβm going to do next.β 10) I glared back at her, not accepting her intimidation. I shook my head and closed my eyes. 11) I see the family up front of the plane cabin talking to the flight attendants; I thought they were just entertaining each other with the child, keeping the child busy and distracting the child. 12) Soon after their congregation the mother in-law comes to me taps me and tells me that they are sorry that I donβt like the child screeching but that they were doing all they can and that she had requested a seat change for me but all the first class seats were taken. She added that βyou made my daughter in-law cry, and that she is upset, and uncomfortable with me. I was shocked to hear this as I didnβt do anything to justify her emotional response. I was the victim, not she. All I said was that I did not want to talk to her, and that she knew what the problem was. I was the one who was being bullied with name calling and physical assaults by shoving my seat very hard, jolting me from relaxing with my eyes closed. She said they were doing all they could, to which I responded gratitude, but that I still had the right to be upset. I also told her that her daughter in-law called me names and shoved my seat. The mother in-law seemed to rationalize this stating how upset she was. I indicated I didnβt want to make anyone upset, but that I was upset by the screeching and was going to remain upset about it. 13) I told the mother in-law I didnβt want conflict, just want to be left alone. The mother in-law added again, βwhat do you want us to do?β I told the mother in-law I am just upset and had the right to be upset, and thanked her for doing what she could. Rob did too, and she left. 14) Stewardess soon after came to inform me of the discomfort I reportedly caused the passenger and her family and child, and I told the Stewardess that I only said I didnβt want to talk to her and that there was a problem. I added that this mother sitting behind us was the one shoving my seat and calling me names. The stewardess didnβt seem interested in hearing my side of the story and she said she could offer a seat in the back, but it is economy and not First Class. I wanted to know at that point, why I was the one who is coerced to move in this situation. Stewardess also asked in a blaming manner, βare you going to be all right?β As if to connote that I would be kicked off the flight if not. This is not how I am to be treated as a passenger on this flight. I am the victim here, and I was treated as a wrongdoer, a criminal. I told the flight attendant that I may take her word on the changing of the seat later if this screeching continues. She walked away, and I felt insulted by being implicated as causing the problem, when clearly an undisciplined child and bullying mother, hysterical over my disapproval were the problem. There is the question of why no one bothered to ask me or my spouse for our side of the story. They just took the mother of the childβs accusations as truth. This was extremely unfair and distressing for us, as we then felt falsely accused. .Overall
Poor customer service - blamed for having a surprised look at screaming, kicking toddler behind us, and flight attendant didn't even address our concern and discomfort. Rather the flight attendant told us the one with crying baby was "uncomfort

Customer service is so bad that I could not properly reschedule and had to stay in my location for 4 extra days. Extremely late cancel notice
We have had a pretty bad experience with this flight. I was asleep in bed and got a text at 9:30 at night saying the flight was cancelled for the next morning at 5:30. I had to make other flight arrangements as I had an event that I was expected at in Mexico. I had to pay an additional $225 plus hotel costs (I already paid for my hotel in Mexico), so it was "double. This experience was really upsetting and I ended up being up until midnight rescheduling my flight. We were told it was because of "staffing issues" as well as weather conditions. It's just not really acceptable and I am incredibly disappointed; not to mention that I'm out an additional $500 because of it. LIsa WestOverall

Flight cancellation and poor customer service
Dear Delta Customer Care, I am writing to submit a formal complaint and to demand reimbursement for expenses incurred as a direct result of the cancellation of my Delta-operated flight from Atlanta to New York on February 22nd, as well as the deficient assistance I received in connection therewith. Essentially, on January 11th I booked a round trip via LATAM Airlines to Mendoza from New York with a connection in Chile with a departure date on February 18th and return date on February 23rd (Booking #GLRITM). However, on February 22nd while I was in Mendoza I received an email informing me that my return flight had been cancelled due to weather conditions in New York. As a result, I was offered the alternative to fly back to New York several hours earlier and with connections in Peru and Atlanta, with the last portions of the flight being operated by Delta (i.e. Atlanta β New York - Confirmation #HZJ6AH). In these conversations I asked several times whether the flight would successfully arrive to New York considering the weather conditions, as that meant ending my trip earlier and I wanted to avoid getting stranded in an unknown place when I had the opportunity to stay in my home country Argentina otherwise. Nonetheless, I was assured it would because I was arriving a night earlier and in another New York airport (i.e. LGA) than originally scheduled. As such, while I was traveling back from Peru to Atlanta, I was informed that my onward flight to New York operated by Delta had been re-directed to Ohio and then to New York two days later, and a couple of hours thereafter, that my flight had been cancelled entirely. As a consequence, I was forced to remain in Atlanta for two additional days, incurring in unexpected hotel, food and transportation expenses, before being able to arrive at destination. Beyond the cancellation itself, the situation was significantly worsened by the lack of customer support provided. I repeatedly attempted to contact Delta by phone and received no response β I even once waited one hour and a half listening to the pre-recorded music in the Delta customer service phone line, and no human being ever came to the line. Without any meaningful assistance or guidance, I was compelled to return to the Atlanta airport on several occasions, incurring additional transportation expenses, in order to seek help in person and secure a solution. Even so, Delta personnel would not give me any support and/or solution thereof until two days later. As you can imagine, the uncertainty of not knowing when I would return home and the extremely poor customer support provided caused additional emotional distress, inconvenience, and hardship. As a direct result of this disruption and the absence of adequate support, I incurred two nights of hotel, as well as uber expenses, which would not have been necessary had the flight operated as scheduled or had proper assistance been provided. Naturally, these costs were completely involuntarily, unavoidable and entirely attributable to Delta's cancellation and subsequent service failure. Given the circumstances, I hereby demand full reimbursement of my hotel and uber expenses. Attached is the relevant documentation in support of my claims stated herein. Therefore, in the spirit of solving this matter amicably, I am hereby requesting you to please kindly proceed with the refund of my money in the amount of $648.94 at your earliest convenience and confirm once this is completed on your end. I trust that Delta will address this matter with the seriousness it warrants and provide a timely and fair resolution. In case of silence or unsatisfactory reply within a reasonable period of time as of the receipt of this email, I will consider other alternatives, including possible legal actions to defend my rights, without any further notice. Flight Delay of 9 hours causing Baggage Delay of 3 days
Flight was delayed at SLC (DL50 on January 26 2026 5.20PM MST)for about 3 hours. This caused the connecting flight disruption at London airport and had to spend more than 8 hours in LHR airport. As my connecting flight at LHR had only 1.55hr layover, obviously my SLC to LHR flight did not make it to connecting flight. The next available flight was AirIndia and that was 9 hours past my scheduled LHR to BLR flight(DL5940 on 27th Jan 2026). This caused a huge disruption to all my plans in India including cancellation of the local Bus, reschedule of every single event after that. The mental stress it caused is not explainable for a very short trip of 7 days. When I finally arrived in BLR airport, with 9 hours of delay, the bags were missing. This is pathetic as in LHR airport, I have personally asked multiple times to make ensure bags were transferred. I had a return ticket in next 7 days, so I could not wait for the bags to arrive which AirIndia upon taking complaint(File Reference number BLRAI66168), informed it will take atleast 2 days and they took 3+ days to deliver. My entire stay in India for 7 days were almost without ANY luggage I packed from USA as I was not in BLR and had other local cities visits planned with very tight schedule for 7 days of stay. I had to buy every single item needed for my 7 days of stay in India. This messed up my entire trip, very frustrating and stressful. I had to even parcel the medicines I had bought for my parents one day before my departure back to USA as that is when I collected my bags.Overall

Problems at airport
Luggage was sent to Fort Myers not to Fort Lauderdale. We asked them to hold the luggage that we would rent a car and pick up the luggage. A note was placed on the luggage, but someone decided to send it back to Atlanta where the airport was iced over and then to us in Fort Lauderdale. Needless to say we were on a cruise ship before it ever left the airport in Atlanta. It was then sent to Nassau, but not delivered until after the ship had left port so it was sent back to Fort Lauderdale and I received it six days later when in Fort Lauderdale on the cruise ship. The airline in Fort Lauderdale sent the message to hold the luggage that it would be picked up. The person in Fort Myers ignored them. Delta had to fly it back to Atlanta to get it to Fort Lauderdale even though it was only 100 miles difference so thatβs why we rented a car to get the luggage because it went to Atlanta and sat being deiced. It didnβt ever make it to us until a week later. We arrived at Fort Lauderdale airport around 12 oβclock immediately went to baggage claim when my luggage was not there. They found it in Fort Myers. It took us a couple of hours of working with them so we made it to our room for the night around 2 AM the next day we rented a car and drive drove to Fort Myers to pick up the luggage halfway there we received a phone call from Fort Myers Delta baggage stating they had put it on a plane for Atlanta that would then come into Fort Lauderdale that afternoon. We went back to the airport and of course the airplane was not able to leave Atlanta due to ice and at 4 oβclock when we got on our ship for our travel, there was no suitcase. The plane was still in Atlanta, Georgia.- Louisville-Fort Lauderdale

Problems at airport
1. What time did you arrive at your final destination? I arrived at JFK at approximately 2:00 PM on January 5, 2026βnearly 24 hours after my original scheduled arrival on January 4th. This represents a full day lost. 2. What did the airline tell you, and when? Timeline of Delta communications: 11:00 AM - Arrived at gate for scheduled departure 11:30 AM - Received initial delay notification due to Athens Air Traffic Control restrictions 1:20 PM - Boarding announced and began (at this time, Athens Flight Information Region had already resumed partial flight operations according to Greek aviation authorities) 2:20 PM - Aircraft pushed back from gate and began taxiing 3:00 PM - While positioned at the runway ready for takeoff, captain announced the flight was being cancelled due to crew duty time limitations. We were informed we would return to the terminal. Afternoon of January 4th - Rebooked on Delta flight departing approximately 10:00 AM on January 5th Delta made the operational decision to board passengers and taxi to the runway at 1:20-2:20 PM, well after the Air Traffic Control situation had begun to stabilize (flights resumed at reduced capacity from 1 PM onward). By 3:00 PM when we were cancelled, the Air Traffic Control restrictions had further eased. The crew timeout was the cause of our cancellation at that moment, not the Air Traffic Control situation. 3. Hotel accommodation for the night of Jan 4-5? Meal vouchers? Transportation? I have family in Athens and did not need anything. 4. How did the incident inconvenience you? The 24-hour delay resulted in: Complete loss of January 5th as a work day (arriving at 2 PM EST made it impossible to fulfill work obligations) Extended airport presence and stress from being boarded, taxied to runway, then deplaned after being minutes from departure Physical and emotional toll of the uncertainty and extended delay 5. Did you miss an event or lose money? "Yes. Specific financial impact: Lost a full work day (January 5th, 2026), counted as additional PTO This is the email I sent to Delta after they denied my initial online claim. I uploaded their answer to this claim: Thank you for your response regarding the DL203 flight cancellation on January 4th, 2026. I understand that the ATC restrictions in Athens were beyond Delta's control, and I appreciate being rebooked on a new flight on January 5th, which operated without issues. However, I believe my January 4th cancellation warrants separate consideration. While the initial delays were due to ATC restrictions, the flight was ultimately cancelled due to crew duty time limitations after we had boarded and were at the runway ready for departure. Other flights were departing from Athens at that time, though at a reduced pace. Crew scheduling constraints are typically considered within an airline's operational control, distinct from the extraordinary circumstances that caused the initial delays. While the crew timing issue was triggered by the ATC situation, it represents a separate operational matter that may be subject to different compensation considerations under applicable passenger rights regulations. I understand that safety must always come first, and I appreciate that crew duty time regulations exist for important reasons. However, I believe Delta should also recognize the significant inconvenience this situation caused, including the loss of a full work day. As a loyal Delta customer, I believe compensation is warranted given these specific circumstances and would appreciate your reconsideration. I would prefer to resolve this matter directly with Delta before pursuing this through third-party passenger rights services.- Athens-New York

Lack of adherence to Carry on luggage procedure
Good afternoon Delta customer service representative(s), While returning from a trip to Cozumel last night, we had with a layover in Atlanta GA. It was unfortunate, and it is bothersome enough that we think you should get the feedback so that you might turn this poor experience into a training opportunity for your team. We intentionally only brought our carryon luggage and our backpacks to comply with storage procedures and avoid having to go to the baggage claim area during our trip. DL0300 BOS 11060C 29JAN 3006943962 Kevin Anderson HTN4Q1 The trip to Cozumel from Boston (via Atlanta) on the way down was great. We were impressed with the whole experience. On the way home, the Cozumel to Atlanta portion of the trip was organized, comfortable and on time. Flight personnel were polite and accommodating. Atlanta to Boston however, had issues. The plane was taking a strangely long time to board, and even the gentlemen at the gate checking our flight information appeared annoyed that the line of people was backed up through the bridge into the terminal line queue. What we would learn, is that zones before us were taking advantage of getting on the plane first and putting ALL their carry-on materials into the overhead storage. Carry on suitcases, Back packs, purses and even winter jackets went into the overhead storage compartments - and that is why zones 6, 7 and 8 were forced to check their carryonβs. This may have been intentional to get additional leg space for their comfort, or due to rising check bag fees they were trying to avoid β I do not know, but we personally experienced the unintended consequences of there not being a better procedure in place for treating paying customers equally regarding carryon items. Picture them walking from their seats, towards the back of the plane to store items β and then having to walk through oncoming passengers to get to their seats. It was obviously a time-consuming process and made sense, in hindsight, that it took so long to board the plane. And then when it was time to get off the plane, we had to watch while these folks came to the back of the plane to get their belongings to fight through people traffic and get off the plane. Unfortunately, we got to watch and wait while they retrieved all their belongings and extended the time it would typically take to disembark the plane. In my mind, every seat is assigned to one person, and every person should get assigned one overhead storage. So, technically, if I pay for a seat β I should have access to an assigned overhead space. If the flight personnel had been looking in the overhead compartments, they would have seen all the back packs and purseβs that could have been stowed under peopleβs seat (per procedure). People could have worn or held their jackets if they did not want to wear them, it could double as a pillow or blanket to take up less space in the overhead storage. But instead, we were treated like our money did not purchase the same amenities as those who took advantage of getting on the plane before us. Although we were grateful that our carryon did make it to Boston, it was not without consequences. My husbandβs carry on was damaged enough that we cannot travel with it anymore. So, whatever individual that was frustrated by having to load all the gate check baggage did not do a good job of protecting it from being damaged. All the way around peopleβs work and travel experiences were impacted. It is worth reviewing with staff, and I am hoping that other people reach out to you too for awareness vs going straight to social media to talk about their experience. Thank you for your time and attention to this situation, we appreciate it!!
Other - Training for flight personnel to observe if fliers are following overhead storage procedures (back packs, purses and winter coats should be stowed under the seat in front of you and 1 carry on item goes in your assigned overheads storage location). Flight attendants should be required to correct the situation and advocate for the portion of the fliers that would be forced to check their carryon's if people are not following guidelines.

Cancelled and Delayed flights
The plane delayed taking off so it landed late and my next flight was cancelled so I had to spend using my pocket money on transport to stay at my sister's place in Windsor on 25th January. Additionally, my initial flight to Boston was cancelled so I was rebooked to another flight to Connecticut which was also cancelled last minute so I had to spend more on Lyft money because I missed a bus ride to my school since we landed an hour later than we were supposed to so I had to order for a Lyft to school from the Connecticut airport on 27th January, the flight that was scheduled for 2:30 pm but ended up leaving at 3:30pmOverall
