i was suppose to fly on Monday 01/19/2026 9am from DTW to MTY #HOC5V7, the flight was delayed till 7:10pm, however they offered to all passengers to chose between other flights to get to MTY sooner or to rebook for different days, i asked to rebook it for next week from 26th to 30th as it was a planned business trip and any delays would create a disruption in agenda and they confirmed me its possible they printed out a confirmation ticket and to watch the app to be updated, the updates were not coming thru so i called the customer service later on Monday to confirm, they stated that they cannot rebook with 1 week delay and the confirmation ticket from the airport stuff is not valid, they offered me to fly next day 01/20/2026 9am, i accepted it, i got a new confirmation number #EOVGPY , Tuesday morning when i was ready to take the uber to the airport they announced again another delay for a second day in a row, I called the customer service that i would like to either rebook for a different week or cancel my booking and asked for refund, they said they cannot rebook to 26th - 30th so they opened a case for me for refund , case number 06304101, this was a business trip with a strict agenda for each day i lost 2 days , that's why i asked to rebook it for another week, thank you for your help- Detroit-Monterrey

my bag wasnβt loaded into the first plane. I submitted a lost/delayed form at FRA. They emailed me with details and I messaged a couple times in their βManage Bagβ portal. It was supposed to arrive the 3rd but didnβt. I called morning of the 5th and someone said the ticket was closed. I requested it to be reopened, and then between 3-5p in the evening the bag was delivered. I am unable to locate more communications to screenshot and submit here. (Also the pants were purchased on the 3rd, but credit card was billed on 5th. I am unable to locate the physical receipt - they were also purchased from Vero Moda, which was closing after the 3rd, everything was on sale).- Minneapolis-Frankfurt

Complete disrespect for customer time due to airline caused delay
1/12/26 Flight from MSP to STL was supposed to depart at 11:25. We boarded, pushed back, and then had to be brought back to the terminal and deboard the plane due to a mechanical issue. Flight was then delayed until 17:25. I understand the delay, not really upset about that, better safe than dead. I am not happy with the respect shown for my time (6 hours) spent at the airport due this mechanical issue. I called after my trip was complete and requested compensation. In the past, compensation for a delay this long would have been automatic, at least with other airlines. When I spent MORE of my time to call and request compensation, I was offered a $50 dollar travel voucher or 5000 miles. For 6 hours of my time, rearranged appointments, adjusted travel, missed meetings, and extended day due to work I had to complete upon my arrival at MSP now meaning I was there until 1130 that evening. I understand that your lobbyists convinced the government to eliminate compensation requirements, I'm sure your board and shareholders will enjoy the profits. But as a former Platinum member, you can be sure I won't be trying to earn miles on your airline in the future. Absolutely no respect for the customer, profits over service, you wont earn my business unless you are absolutely the cheapest option for my travel. Thanks for the spit in the face and complete disregard for my time.Overall

Problems at airport
We sat on the tarmac 5 hours, and then they told us the flight was cancelled. They are claiming it was due to weather, however the real reason for cancellation was lack of Delta securing enough de-icing machines, and the pilot admitted that. They also said other flights were taking off, one had taken off 30 minutes before ours. And then our flight timed out. They they refused to offer me another seat the next day, saying that those seats were only for new reservations. They put us on a flight for 3 days later. I emailed the CEO to complain. His team put us on a flight the next morning. Then new flight, which was also delayed for 4-5 hours, lost our bags. We finally got them back today.- Amsterdam-Washington

Forced Gate Check of Carry-On Resulting in Damage
Overall, I was happy with the service and the flight itself. However, one part of the experience was very disappointing. This occurred on my flight from LAX to LAS on Wednesday, December 24, Flight 1374. At the gate, my wife and I were forced to check our carry-on bags because we were told there was no space left in the overhead bins. These carry-ons were recently purchased and expensive, and we specifically chose them to avoid checking luggage. What made the situation especially frustrating was that after we were required to check our bags, several passengers boarded later with their carry-ons and were allowed to place them in the overhead bins. Clearly, space was available, which made the decision to force us to check our bags feel unfair and unnecessary. When we arrived at our destination, both carry-ons were returned dirty, scratched, and damaged. This was very disappointing, especially given that we only checked them because we were required to do so at the gate. I hope Delta can improve consistency and fairness in gate-check decisions and take better care of passengersβ belongings.Overall

Many flight delays and missed flight.
My flight from Memphis to Atlanta was delayed. Once we took off in Atlanta, we were approximately. 30 mins into the flight, we were told we were turning around because fumes had been detected in the cabin. We landed back in Atlanta to emergency vehicles on the runway, and after we assured our plane wasn't on fire, we taxied back into the gate. The flight was delayed 6 hours, causing us to miss the flight in Amsterdam. Given vouchers for food at the airport, but nothing open would accept them. We were put up in a hotel but given no compensation for food outside the airport. I could go on an on about how horrible this trip experience was, but this is my last effort to get something done.Overall

Other - Please read below. This is my seventh trip on a Delta in one year. The letter explains one trip alone. My next complaint concerns my return trip from Uganda and the delays there, as well as a return flight from the Dominican Republic for eight other individuals that was significantly delayed. To: Delta Airlines β Customer Care Subject: Request for Reimbursement and Compensation for Flight Delays, Baggage Charges, and Seat Changes Dear Delta Customer Relations, I am writing to formally request reimbursement and compensation for multiple issues experienced during my recent trip from Memphis, Tennessee (MEM) to Entebbe, Uganda (EBB) on October 23, 2025. While I have been a loyal Delta customer for many years and have always appreciated the professionalism and care of your staff, this trip was marked by an unfortunate series of delays, miscommunications, and additional charges that caused significant inconvenience, stress, and expense. Flight Details β’ Date of Departure: October 23, 2025 β’ Flight 1: Delta 2071, Memphis to Atlanta β’ Flight 2: Delta 72, Atlanta to Amsterdam β’ Destination: Entebbe, Uganda (EBB) 1. Initial Delay in Memphis My trip began with Delta Flight 2071 from Memphis to Atlanta, which was delayed for just over an hour. At the gate, passengers were asked to check their carry-on luggage, which I did, and my bag was checked through to my destination in Entebbe. I also paid $200.00 for an additional checked bag at the Memphis counter, and all three of my bags were tagged for the whole route to Uganda. 2. Flight Interruption in Atlanta Upon arrival in Atlanta, I transferred to Delta Flight 72 to Amsterdam. Shortly after takeoff, the flight was forced to return to the airport due to fumes in the cabin. We were met by emergency vehicles, and after the necessary safety checks, the aircraft returned to the gate. After a long delay, passengers were given meal vouchers, but by that time, most of us had already purchased food, rendering the vouchers unusable. Because of this delay, I missed my connecting flight to Entebbe. 3. Overnight Delay and Vouchers in Amsterdam Following the missed connection, passengers were instructed to stand in long lines to receive hotel and meal vouchers for the overnight stay. Once issued, we discovered that several airport restaurants could not scan or accept vouchers. I eventually paid for my own meals. 4. Additional Baggage Charge in Amsterdam The next morning, I arrived early at the airport to check in for my rebooked flight to Entebbe. Despite my bags being checked all the way through from Memphis, I was informed at the counter that I needed to pay an additional $275.00 for one of my checked bags. Given the time constraints and my desire to avoid further delay, I paid the amount as instructed. I am therefore requesting reimbursement for the $275.00 baggage fee, which was charged in error. 5. Mistreatment at Boarding in Amsterdam The baggage issue at check-in caused a delay at immigration, resulting in my late arrival at the boarding gate. Upon reaching the gate, I was met with insulting treatment from gate personnel, who publicly scolded me for allegedly delaying the flight. I was told, βYou need to be at the airport like everyone else,β and then instructed to βrunβ to the aircraft. As a 66-year-old traveler who had already endured significant delays and confusion, I found this both distressing and humiliating. Although I hurried as much as I could, I arrived feeling shaken and embarrassed. I want to note that once onboard, the flight attendants were exceptionally kind and attentive. They welcomed me warmly, reassured me, and even asked if the gate agents had been rudeβat which point, emotionally exhausted, I broke down in tears. Their kindness was a bright spot in an otherwise challenging travel experience, and I am deeply grateful for their compassion. 6. Paid Seat Upgrades Not Honored Several weeks before departure, I paid for upgraded seats on my flights from Amsterdam. However, due to the rebooking and delays, my seat selections and upgrades were changed without any notification or refund. I would appreciate reimbursement for the prepaid upgraded seat fees, as I did not receive the seats I had paid for. 7. Compensation Request Given the extensive delays, the forced overnight stay, additional expenses, loss of paid services, and emotional stress caused by the mishandled rebooking and poor customer service at the Amsterdam gate, I am respectfully requesting: 1. Reimbursement of $275.00 USD for the additional baggage fee charged in Amsterdam. 2. Reimbursement of $200.00 USD for the extra checked bag fee paid in Memphis, if that amount was not correctly applied to my final destination. 3. Reimbursement for paid seat upgrades that were changed and not honored without notification. 4. Reimbursement for flight Delay due to mechanical issues β See Deltaβs Compensation policy regarding delayed or cancelled flights. 5. Consideration of compensation for the extensive delay, missed connection, and distress experienced during the journey, in accordance with Delta/KLMβs customer care and EU261 passenger rights policies. 8. Closing I have always chosen Delta for its reputation for customer care and reliability, and I want to continue doing so in the future. I hope you will consider this request with understanding and fairness. The situation was beyond my control, and the additional costs and emotional toll were significant. I am confident Delta will handle this matter with the same professionalism and care that has earned my loyalty over the years. Please let me know if you require copies of my receipts for baggage and seat paymentsβI am happy to provide documentation to support this claim. Thank you for your time, attention, and assistance. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Warm regards, Nancy Louise Grisham grishamgroup@hotmail.com 662-401-3261 I would appreciate full compensation for the ticket as well as an acknowledgement or the problems.

BAD SERVICE - DAMAGED LUGGAGE
In June I had check-in luggage on a flight that was damaged by Delta employees (Broken wheel) I reported it and the lady at the counter said there is nothing they can do for me and sent me away. Oct 25th, I flew to JFK from FLL and I was told I had to check-in my carry-on luggage due to there not being any room in the bins on the plane. I picked up my bag and the wheel was broken. I went to the desk to report it, and the lady said Delta will not help me and will refer me to the manufacture of my luggage. She did not do a report but she took a picture of the wheel and the sticker from my bag that Delta had put on and told me it wouldn't help if she made a report. This was a luggage set. One carry on and one check in. I can't use either now. Delta is at fault for both of my luggage.Overall

Technical problems
My 11/23/25 flight from JAC to EDI was interrupted by several delays in SLC, ultimately leading to a cancellation and a potential re-route through JFK and LHR, which I elected not to accept and was re-routed instead through MSP on 11/24. As a result of my delayed arrival to EDI--further delayed by the non-arrival of my checked bag and thus time spent with the baggage claim office at EDI (because--as I learned there--my bag had been sent to JFK), I was not able to take a bus to St. Andrews, as planned, and needed to take a much more expensive cab service. I was told by the EDI baggage claim office I'd need to liaise with KLM about all of this as well as any other downstream effects of the mishandled bag. The purpose of my very last minute trip was to unexpectedly pack up my son--a graduate student at St. Andrews--due to a mental health crisis and return him home. My checked bag contained a smaller carry-on bag of my own and other bags to pack up his dorm room. Because of the US Thanksgiving holiday, the delay in our packing due to not receiving my checked bag in time to pack his room and vacate it in time for our return flight (I had to buy another, larger bag to check for our return flights), we had to delay our return flights to the US, hire a cab and stay at a hotel at EDI on Thanksgiving eve, and travel home to the US on Thanksgiving day because there were not affordable options for flights on the days after Thanksgiving. As such, I have included receipts for the purchase of a new carry-on bag (fortunately on a 70% off sale), for RT cab fare EDI to St. Andrews, for overnight accommodation at EDI, and for some food. I shopped and re-routed as frugally as possible, but these were all unforeseen expenses in the context of an exceedingly stressful situation, all due to the mishandling of my carry-on bag, which significantly impacted a trip that was exceedingly short to begin with. As an aside, the checked bag on my return flight was also mishandled and arrived a day later to my home.- Jacksn Hole-Edinburgh

Hotel Booking Issue and Wrongful Denial of Expenses
I am writing to respectfully request a reconsideration of the denial for the $39.96 Uber expense related to my recent travel disruption (case: 17352738.). While your system is efficient for submitting claims, it did not allow me to provide critical context for why this cost was necessary. On December 4th, I was scheduled to fly from Miami to Seattle on Flight 506 (Confirmation #G73P7K) at 6:00 PM. Unfortunately, the flight was delayed by 16 hours and departed the next day at 10:00 AM. During this extended delay, I booked a hotel through the Delta app at Comfort Inn & Suites Downtown Brickell-Port of Miami. I have attached the confirmation email for reference. When I arrived at the hotel after 9:00 PM, I discovered that no reservation had been made and the property was fully booked. This issue affected multiple passengers from the same flight. The hotel staff and other travelers can confirm this situation, which caused significant distress. With no available accommodations, my manager (I work for Carnival Corporation, which operates eight cruise lines including Carnival Cruise Line) generously offered me a place to stay at her home in Pinecrest. The Uber ride from the hotel to her home cost $39.96. This expense was solely incurred to secure a safe place to sleep during the overnight delay, which aligns with Deltaβs Customer Commitment to provide reasonable care during extended disruptions. Therefore, I kindly request that Delta reimburse Carnival Corporation for this necessary transportation expense. I appreciate your attention to this matter and your commitment to supporting customers during unforeseen travel challenges. Thank you for your reconsideration. Sincerely, Asia Wright awright3@carnival.comOverall

Dissatisfied Customer on your Delta Airlines
Dear Delta Airlines, I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent flight experience on Delta Airlines from Houston, Texas to Evansville, Indiana on 12-8-2025. If you investigate, you will discover I had a 5:10a flight having me arrive in Evansville by 930a. I purposedly scheduled this time because this was a workday containing in person scheduled meeting(s). Because of this delay regarding both the original and the connecting flight, I missed an entire day of work causing me to lose approximately 900 dollars of pay for the day. I didnβt arrive in Evansville until almost 10p that night. Now, earlier this year, there was a delay due to a bird strike. And as it was explained to me, that was not the airlineβs fault, and no accommodations were made because of it. However, this seems to be directly related to your airlines. When the flight finally departed, it was uncomfortable. The in-flight service was also subpar. The flight attendant(s) (2 males) were rude and unruly. Very surprising for Delta because I am from Monroe, La., the birthplace of Delta airlines. I happened to have met the Biedenharn family, and I know they drove this airline with the upmost in customer service and satisfaction. I am extremely disappointed with my experience on Delta Airlines. The flight delay, lack of communication, and poor service have left me feeling frustrated and dissatisfied. I urge you to take immediate steps to improve your customer service and ensure that future passengers have a more positive experience. Sincerely, D. My journey, along with the entire group, began in Warsaw on 6 December 2025. While other members of my group were provided with alternative connections either from Amsterdam or from Warsaw, I did not receive any notification that my flight had been cancelled. This was most likely due to the fact that the airline no longer had available seats on the WarsawβAmsterdam flight the following day. Upon arrival at Amsterdam Airport, I went to the KLM service desk and explained that I had only just learned that my flight had been cancelled and that no alternative had been arranged for me. I received a hotel voucher and was forced to spend an additional 24 hours in Amsterdam. Given that my overall journey took two days, I consider the airlineβs conduct unacceptable. Complaint and Reimbursement request
Dear Delta Customer Care Team, I am writing to formally request compensation and reimbursement for the significant delay on my Delta flight. Flight Details: β’ Passenger Name: Anthony DiStephano β’ Confirmation Code: GHE3AT β’ Flight Number: DL1374 β’ Date of Travel: Sunday December 8, 2025 β’ Origin: Louisville, KY (SDF) β’ Destination: Atlanta, GA (ATL) My flight was delayed by 6.6 hours, which caused me to miss my motherβs 70th birthday party. Throughout the delay, the Delta front desk provided no meaningful explanation other than offering me the option to cancel for a full refund. This was not a realistic option for me, as I needed to get to Atlanta for the event. Being stuck in the airport for 6.6 hours required me to purchase three meals and drinks that I would not have normally purchased, especially given the high cost of airport food. When it was finally time to board, I was in Zone 7, and there was no remaining overhead bin space for my carry-on luggage. I was forced to check my bag at the gate. My luggage tracking number is 3006807944. When we landed in Atlanta, we experienced an additional delay because another plane was occupying the gate. Once I got to baggage claim, the situation was extremely chaoticβmany passengers could not locate their luggage, and there were stacks of bags piled on the floor. I was instructed to retrieve my luggage at Bay 1, which displayed the correct flight information, but my bag never arrived there. It took an additional 2 hours to finally locate my luggage, which had been sent to a different bay. At every stage of this experience, I did not receive reasonable assistance or communication. As a result of the delays and disorganization, I incurred significant inconvenience and additional expenses. Costs Incurred (if applicable): β’ Meals: $148.34 (Receipts attached.) Given the length of the delay and the impact it had on my travel plans, I respectfully request: 1. Compensation for the delay, and 2. Reimbursement of my out-of-pocket expenses as listed above. I have been a loyal Delta customer and hope the airline will review this matter promptly and provide an appropriate resolution. Thank you for your attention. I look forward to your response. Terrible Customer Service!!
Geoffrey Pierce at Elmira/Corning Regional is a very poor representation of Delta airlines. He had a terrible attitude and was far less than helpful with my sonβs unaccompanied minor experience. Rather than asking for assistance with the issue of needing to βflipβ the paperwork to the current travel plan, Mr Pierce refused to help my 13 y/o son. Instead he told my some that that he hadnβt completed the paperwork and to βfind another flightβ at this very small airport during a snow storm, causing multiple delays. This definitely was not the experience I felt we had been promised through the unaccompanied minor program. I had to miss work and spend the entire day monitoring and re-organizing my sonβs flights, as to ensure that he arrived home safely with an additional stop, much later than projected. This has created a spike in my sonβs anxiety and fear of flying, which will not aid in his future traveling experiences. This should have never happened. I left Atlanta at 10 pm and at that point my final flight to Accra was not having any issue. 15 minutes before w landed in Amsterdam I got an email saying that our flight was cancelled. When I arrived I was directed to a help desk where there was an absolute disaster. There was a line of atleast 150 people with no organization and misinformation all around. I was told my flight was rescheduled for nearly 48 hours later on Friday. I was taken to a hotel and waited for 2 days. I was separated from my family and it was not a pleasant experience. I was in a foreign country I was not planning to be in.- Phoenix-Accra

Insensitive. Refused to help me.
I am 76 years old and disabled. This was known because I arrived a wheelchair. I am also quite short at 5ft 2in. I told the flight attendant I needed help getting my carry on in the storage bin. It was impossible for me to do. She refused and I said how do I get it up there. She responded ask another traveler to do it.Overall

Misinformation Provided by Customer Service Agent
Subject: Request for Miles - Misinformation Provided by Customer Service Agent Dear Delta Airlines Customer Relations Team, I am writing to bring to your attention a disappointing customer service experience I encountered on November 23, 2025, and to request appropriate miles for the inconvenience caused. Flight Details: Flight Date: November 23, 2025 Route: Dallas to Boston Confirmation Number: HGVURE Issue Description: Prior to my flight, I contacted Delta customer service to upgrade our seats using miles. Specifically, I wanted to use my husband's miles for his seat upgrade and my own miles for my seat upgrade. The customer service agent informed me that this arrangement was not possible and stated he could not provide further assistance. However, after waiting on hold for a considerable amount of time, we decided to check the Delta website ourselves. To our surprise, we were able to complete the exact same transaction that the agent claimed was impossible - using separate mile accounts for our respective seat upgrades. Impact: This misinformation resulted in: Unnecessary time spent waiting on hold Wasted time dealing with an agent who provided incorrect information Inconvenience and frustration that could have been easily avoided Lack of confidence in Delta's customer service accuracy Request: Given the clear misinformation provided by your agent and the resulting inconvenience, I respectfully request compensation in the form of SkyMiles points to acknowledge this service failure and the time wasted due to your agent's incorrect guidance. I have been a loyal Delta customer and hope this matter can be resolved promptly and fairly. I look forward to your response and a satisfactory resolution. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, [Your Name] [Your SkyMiles Number] [Your Contact Information] This version maintains a professional tone while clearly outlining the issue, its impact, and your reasonable request for compensation. The structured format makes it easy for Delta's customer relations team to understand and process your complaint effectively.Overall

Please see the Formal Reimbursement claim letter attached in the communications section. Delta delay of 4 hours set in motion multiple issues, they didnt auto rebook our connecting flight, when I called they double rebooked us on Luthfansa. Our bags didnt get transferred to Lutfhansa and did not make our final airport destiation. Our bags were lost for mx days, then again mishandled again causing us expense, anxiety, distress. My son was traveling to compete and did not have his equipment. This entire trip was derailed by the mishandling of our rebooked connection and transfer of bags to the new flight. Specific detail is in the Formal reimbursement letter attached in the "upload copies of communications". The text thread with Delta is too long to copy, Lufthansa has recorded messages. Delta did not do what it said it would by rebooking the connection, then when they did the double booked it, causing Luthfansa to cancel one, which may be a reason the bags didnt get transferred from Delta or KLM who was supposed to be the connecting flight. Lufthansa once they found the bags 3 days later did not expedite them to us on a delivery vehicle which could have taken only 2 hours, rather put them on flights to Frankfurt and Salzburg no closer to our Airbnb than where they found them in Munich and only to lose the snowboard bag again, leaving my son to compete on borrowed gear in a pro level competition, gear that was not broken in.- Minneapolis-Munich

Other - Ernestine and Sylvester Toe confirmation H5TFVZ We made our reservation through Delta, our beloved Airline, hoping to have a safe and comfortable travel to Liberia , West Africa. We were aware that Delta was going to connect us with various Airlines. My husband Sylvester is a gold Medallion member, and we purchase a comfort class, requesting an upgrade if we qualify on flights. After our itinerary was completed, we realized that on connection flights, seating was only economy, and we had to pay extra to get our seats upgraded. The ticket for my husband and me is already so high, and we are travelling to a funeral of our beloved sister and sister-in-law. We are unable to pay an extra $115.90 per person for the upgrade. I tried asking a KLM representative about us using Sky Miles to upgrade our seats, and the KLM representative stated that they were unable to do that. My disappointment with Delta is that we strive to move up in medallion status to enjoy upgrades on our international flights. Kind regards, Your valued customers: Sylvester Toe 2522273800 & Ernestine A. Toe 9100328062

TERRIBLE customer service!!
November 14,2025. Delta Airlines To whom it may concern: This letter is about my worst experience on return international flight back to the U.S. from Paris CDG airport. My name is Michael R. Mas ,confirmation HR9C73 flight 085 destination Atlanta. No response is needed nor required. I just want to share the most unpleasant experience ever felt by me from Deltaβs cabin crew specifically four individuals. Only two of them personally identified themselves when asked for their names. Tony supposedly cabin crew supervisor and Shannon. The other two per Tonyβs account names Ralph and Vittoria, their names tags not easily displayed due to uniform scarf and handkerchief obstruction respectively. This is a synopsis of the events. Flight departs on time and shortly after weather related turbulence develops. Due to continued turbulence drinks service is delayed. Once drink service is about to start, I asked Shannon for a Heineken beer. Her immediate response βwe donβt work when thereβs turbulence. Weβre starting service shortly.β Iβm sitting on aisle 59 steps from the galley. I well know service starts at the front of the aircraft and Iβm sitting last seat of the aircraft. About 2 hrs. into the 9 hrs. flight finally was served a Heineken. Iβm not a fast drinker and about 35-40 mins. I order another Heineken. Ralph tells me βthereβs no more Heineken, let me try finding oneβ. He indicated I could have a Miller Lite or Sweetwater, which Iβve never heard off. At this point I asked to speak to the crew cabin supervisor. He or she never showed up. Shortly after Shannon came and looking at her uniform, I knew she wasnβt a supervisor, but wanted to address my concerns? I asked her, how is it possible weβre on a 9 hrs. international flight and thereβs only 2 Heinekens on board? I mentioned to her the food and beverage manager wasnβt doing a good job! Her response, βgo to Delta.com and make comments, we donβt have any control of what drinks are provided for the flight.β I respectfully mentioned, is Delta an international airline? Delta is celebrating 100 yrs. and canβt even provide drink choices and variety. Apparently she didnβt like my comments and after that encounter, my worst flight experience unfolded. One hour after Ralph went searching for a Heineken it was now 3 hrs. into a 9 hrs. flight and I was about to drink a second beer. Again Iβm not a fast drinker and 35-40 mins after I request another Heineken. This time Shannon extensively lectured me on drinking on flights. She talked to me about having a Sweetwater. About an hour later I requested a Heineken from Vittoria, to which she replied,β Iβll get you one.β She never came back, but I noticed she would avoid the aisle and seat where I was sitting at and worked the opposite side. Iβm extremely frustrated, having a beer is harder than pulling teeth for no reason at all. Again I asked to speak to the crew supervisor. Tony and I had a conversation where I expressed to him my dissatisfaction for no Heineken on board and the long waiting time to have one. Right on my face and with a stern tone of voice he asked how many beers have you had? I politely answered 3-4 and would like another. He then proceeded to extensively lecture me about drinking alcohol at high altitude. I mentioned to him I work in the medical field and Iβm aware of possible negative effects. Tony then inexplicably related a past incident in which he served a passenger βa last drinkβ and the individual proceeded to physically attack and severely injured one crew member. Apparentl, according to his narrative he had to seek legal advice to retain his job and position at work. Iβm thinking, what does all of that relates to me? At that precise moment Vittoria tries to interrupt the conversation and I told her, βdonβt talk to me ,two hours ago I asked you for one beer and you never came back.β Her response β I was told not to serve you.β It was then, I realized Tony is in no position to make a fair judgment about my person nor be fair about me drinking beer all based on prejudice from a prior incident with someone else. At that point he reluctantly handed me a Heineken and said βyou can have another one before we land.β Now 4-4.5 hrs into a 9 hrs. flight Iβm having beer no. 4. It would be 3.5 hrs. before I could have another beer!! Take into consideration all of this is happening without me having any alcohol prior to boarding this flight .Itβs now clear to me the crew supervisor had instructed the staff not to serve me unless he precisely thought it was time for me to have a beer. All of this because I expressed my dissatisfaction when they all lied to me about no Heineken on board for the flight to ATL. There was Heineken on board as it was being served to me like an eye dropper .Most importantly due to Tonyβs inability to pass fair non biased judgement on me based on his past experience with someone elseβs alcohol intolerance. Instead of making an intelligent decision not to serve me beer based on facts and or evidence of erroneous behavior ,speaking out loud, slurred speech, alcohol in my breath, blood shot red eyes, stumbling, being obnoxious, running into people or objects, or aggressive behavior, Tony made a decision based on prejudices, personal misconceptions and false judgements about myself. Iβm a responsible adult with no prior history of in flight alcohol intoxication on nationwide or international flights. I would never embarrass myself or my companion over 6-7 beers. At the young age of 75 I know my limits. Past April- May we flew Delta to Barcelona and returned from Lisbon and there were no issues with having drinks. Flight 085 crew have big personality and ego issues! All I wanted was a pleasant ,relaxing return flight back home. Unfortunately Deltaβs crew didnβt deliver. They did make good on me having a horrible experience one which Iβll never forget. Zero customer service!! During the last hot snack service prior to landing, Tony attempted to make good on his promise for me to have a beer before landing, guess what Heineken! I respectfully declined for at my age itβs not necessary for Tony, Shannon, Ralph or Vittoria to authorize when I can have a beer. From the beginning it was for them a game, lies, a cruel scheme. I was disrespected, lied to, manipulated and worst of all treated like a child. Iβm glad itβs over. Tony and crew saved Delta a few bucks, hope theyβll be highly rewarded for their efforts. As for myself, I donβt envision me flying Delta for the next 100 years. Respectfully yours, Michael Rafael MasOverall
