We’re happy to share that Cristiana Toscano has joined AirAdvisor as a Litigation Lawyer, strengthening our growing team of local legal experts that handle air passenger compensation claims.

Cristiana Toscano – Litigation Lawyer (Portugal)Based in Lisbon, Portugal, Cristiana is a civil litigation lawyer with over four years of legal practice, specialising in air passenger rights and consumer litigation. Her work focuses on EU261 and UK261 compensation, including claims related to flight delays, cancellations, denied boarding, airline liability disputes, and regulatory complaints.

At AirAdvisor, Cristiana will be supporting the legal enforcement of passenger compensation claims under EU Regulation 261/2004. She will be handling disputes that arise from flight and baggage disruptions and play a key role in the legal assessment of airline refusals to ensure passengers’ rights are properly defended before the courts in Portugal.

Local litigation experience supporting passenger claims in Portugal

Before joining AirAdvisor, Cristiana built her litigation experience as an Associate Lawyer at Alcides Martins, Bandeira, Simões & Associados – Sociedade de Advogados. During that period, she handled a high volume of air passenger compensation claims, including litigation related to flight delays, cancellations, and denied boarding. Her work regularly involved complex aviation disputes, particularly cases where airline liability was contested and where regulatory enforcement played a central role.

This hands-on background translates directly into her work at AirAdvisor. Cristiana has represented passengers before both Portuguese Small Claims Courts and Portuguese Civil Courts, gaining practical experience across all stages of litigation. Over the course of her practice, she has handled more than 500 aviation-related cases, enforcing passenger compensation under EU Regulation 261/2004 in disputes arising from flight disruptions.

Cristiana is a registered lawyer with the Portuguese Bar Association (Ordem dos Advogados) and holds a Law Degree from NOVA School of Law, Universidade NOVA de Lisboa.

We’re particularly pleased to continue expanding our network of locally based lawyers. Having experienced legal professionals on the ground in key jurisdictions like Portugal allows us to manage claims more effectively and represent passengers with the local insight their cases require.

Welcome to AirAdvisor, Cristiana.
