It took me an additional 26 hours to get to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport then when I was originally supposed to get there. The vouchers were physical and do not have any pictures and did not sign anything. I was supposed to arrive in Dallas at 8:35 pm on August 5, but ended up arriving at 10:35pm August 6.

On Aug 4th, I had a non-direct American Airlines flight from LTH to SFO with a layover in DFW. The flight from LTH to DFW was cancelled, and I had an overnight stay in a hotel provided by the airline. I was put on the next available flight that was 16 hours later than my original flight with layover in Madrid, Spain (instead of Dallas, USA). This meant a huge delay with longer travel time than expected. I had to leave the hotel 5:30am to catch the hotel shuttle to LTH, so no breakfast for me! The flight from LTH to Madrid was also delayed by 45 minutes. Because of this, I almost missed my connecting flght to SFO as I had less than 30 minutes to clear security and to walk to my gate for connecting flight in Madrid airport. Terrible experience.

I got a delayed flight notification when I arrived to Miami. The departure time was pushed back constantly, it was over 5 hours delayed at the end, arriving at 22:30 instead of 17:11.

My husband and I were supposed to f...

My husband and I were supposed to fly out of Appleton, WI at 6:15 pm on June 19th flight to Chicago connecting flight to London Heathrow arrival 10:30 am on June 20th. We paid for ground transportation to Dover England port where we were supposed to meet Carnival Cruise Miracle by 5pm. In reality, there was an announcement in Appleton that there were delays for our flight coming to pick us up from ORD, we were assured by staff in Appleton that despite the late arrival of our initial plane, we should be landing in ORD with enough time to make our connection to Heathrow. We boarded and took off skeptical but hopeful that we would be able to continue our journey. We arrived at ORD, we had to wait in line there were 5 planes ahead of us waiting on the tamarack to get to a gate approx 1hr 45min. When we were finally able to get off of our plane we ran to the connecting terminal to be told that they were closed for boarding. Furthermore there were no additional flights FOR DAYS to London. I waited in the customer service line while my husband eventually was able to get connected with someone from customer service over the phone who booked us on a flight to Dublin with a connection to London ETA 2:10pm where we would then have to find our transport to Dover port a 2hr 30min drive to meet port call by 5 pm. We made it to the connection in Dublin and the plane had a mechanical error which delayed us approximately an hour. We landed in London and had to wait again on the tamarack for an additional 57 min. We never found our ground transport and now our luggage was also missing.

We have contacted both American and British airlines for denied boarding for both me and my spouse. American Airlines asked us to contact BA and they said it's because of security concern and did not provide details even after asking for details in specific.I am attaching those here for reference

The disruption began with the cance...

The disruption began with the cancellation of flight Miami to Barcelona, which was rescheduled with more than 13 hours of delay. As a direct result, we missed our connecting flight to Mallorca and incurred the following out-of-pocket expenses: – $860.00 for new tickets with Air Europa (purchased to replace the missed Vueling connection) – €86.40 for one lost day of a non-refundable car rental – $372.50 for one hotel night lost Later that same day, we were denied boarding on the rebooked flight (also Miami to Barcelona), despite having confirmed the rebooking by phone and arriving on time. Iberia has since responded with a generic message citing “circumstances beyond our control,” without offering any specific explanation or addressing the denied boarding. No compensation was offered.

Unacceptable customer service and request for compensation

Dear American Airlines customer relations, I am writing regarding my recent experience on a nonstop flight from Indianapolis to LaGuardia. After multiple delays, the flight was canceled with virtually no assistance. I was not provided with workable rebooking options or guidance and was eventually placed on standby but still could not reach my destination. Due to the lack of support, I had to purchase a last-minute ticket on another airline at a cost of roughly $800 out of pocket. This was avoidable, and the complete lack of customer care was unacceptable. I am requesting a refund for the canceled flight and fair compensation for the additional expenses and disruption caused by the lack of assistance. Thank you for your attention.

Much like the other poor souls who tried American airlines..

I will just add to the thousands of similar complaints that AA is the worst airline I have ever encountered for customer service and delays. We had a 7 hour delay at a stopover and missed the only connection to our destination , requiring a hotel stay, meals and transportation. On top of that the last leg of the flight was more than 5 hours from 4 pm to 9 and the offered no food other than a package of cookies. Customer service staff were so rude and dismissive of my requests for help rerouting on another airline I was absolutely astounded. They must give lessons in rude vulgar behavior to their employees because they are all the same.

Overall

  • close Horrible response to agonizingly long delays and missed connections

Pathetic service by Americal Airlines

I have recently travelled on American Airlines and was totally disappointed. Across three different flights, the crew demonstrated an unacceptable level of rudeness, a complete lack of basic competence, and a sheer disregard for passenger well-being. On the first flight, the flight attendant completely ignored our row during the drink service. When I politely spoke up to ask for a drink, he responded with shocking rudeness and hostility. It is infuriating to be treated like an inconvenience for simply requesting basic service that we paid for. Then on the second flight, the crew distributed breakfast sandwiches without telling anyone what was inside them. They blindly assumed every single passenger eats meat. Because no information was given, I took a bite, only to realize that it contained meat. As a vegetarian this was upsetting and violated my dietary requirements. To make matters worse, there was no vegetarian alternative available, forcing me to starve for the remainder of the flight. Airlines must clearly identify meat products to respect passenger dietary needs. Forcing vegetarians to accidentally consume meat is inexcusable. I have used 5-6 airlines through various countries and they all had vegetarian option so I was really shocked to see the lack of this option for breakfast in America airlines. On my third flight, I traveled with only one backpack. I placed it safely in the overhead bin where there was plenty of available space. Despite the empty room, a flight attendant ordered me to remove my bag and force it under the seat in front of me. If the plane were full, I would understand. But forcing me into physical discomfort and cramping my legroom for absolutely no reason was a petty power trip. My bag was already safely stored, and the crew forced me to suffer a miserable flight without any reason. In conclusion I am disappointed to say that American Airlines failed to provide basic customer service, respect, or edible food
