The worst airlines in the history o...

The worst airlines in the history of airlines. Zero help, no one knows anything. They change your flight on whims, and no one can tell you if you can get a refund until AFTER YOU FLIGHT. And you know it will not be any refund because everything thing to them is an ACT of God. Notification is basically nonexistent. I would hate to not have high status because I cannot imagine what they are doing to everyone else.

Flight delay

Late flight, missed our connection, cheap insufficient meal vouchers, refused to connect me to senior citizen help desk. I just had the choice of flying American or Lot airline to Poland. I picked Lot.

Asian Americans with Kids in Last G...

Asian Americans with Kids in Last Group 9 to board both planes from Los Cabo, Mexico to Charlotte, North Carolina with connecting fly to Orlando, FL. As the last few people to board the planes, carrier rollers were not allowed by then with reason -no more head bins' room. Yet, the bins were pretty much emplty arround our seats (the 16BCDF and 17BCDF) where the seats were next to the roaring noisy jet engine. Proud to be Asian Americans from Florida. HT63WR, YVDQUZ

Do not seat families together

My husband and I were on our 1-year anniversary trip and did quite a bit of traveling for that trip. We used American Airlines for one of our flights and were disappointed. Our main reason is, we weren't able to sit together. It blows my mind that airlines are no longer placing family members together for flights and you have to find some kind stranger to switch with you, if possible. Most people on our flight were flying solo, and I highly double all, or even any of them, paid for a specific seat. How hard is it to group families together when a majority of your customers are solo traveling? This should be a basis priority when deciding seating, even if you have to reprogram your computer system to do a better job.

Ridiculous amount of delayed flights.

Delayed flights are ridiculous. If you can’t handle having that many flights a day then don’t schedule them. Delaying flights and making people miss connecting flight is so annoying. I can see if it was weather related but it wasn’t. I had a 1:55 flight ended up being delayed and missed my 4:30 connecting flight , the agent said I was booked on the next 5 o’clock flight which was a lie and it was actually on the only flight left at 9:00pm of course that was delayed as well by another hour.. I had plenty of time to hear others talk about how disrespectful the agent were to passengers. I sat next to an 80 year old women who told me she was in a wheelchair waiting to board but they kept delaying the flight. She needed to stand for a little while as she was getting so sore and they yelled at her for not being in her chair. Come on, do better.

Flight delay

Deeply disappointing—such that my 2 children refuse to fly this airline again, that’s how confusing and scary the experience was for them (and I take them on at least 7 flights each year, they’re used to airports and planes).

Flight delay

I’ve flown AA twice on international trips, once to Italy in 2024 and just recently to Ireland. Had issues with flight going to Italy and lost out on the extra day in Italy that I had to pay for, also my luggage was floating around for a week before I got it at my home. This recent flight from Dublin to Dallas we sat on the plane for over 3 hours for a mechanical issue to be fixed. Needless to say not a super fan of AA.

Despicable inflight service

I flew the red-eye from KOA Hawaii to Phoenix on April 12. Boarding was organized and aircraft was clean. What dropped my jaw was the fact that they did not come provide water/snack service at any time after take-off. They came around with water only ONCE, during the middle of the flight (when everyone was asleep and was not aware that it was being offered). This is absolutely despicable service and no doubt violates the service regulations for a 5.5 hr. flight. Bottom of the barrel airline. I will NEVER fly American Airlines again.

My experience with AAmerican Airlines Left Us Stranded, Ignored, and Completely On Our Ownmerican Airline...

My experience with American Airlines on this trip was an absolute disaster from the moment we landed in Philadelphia. Our connecting flight to Reagan was cancelled less than an hour after we arrived, and that’s when the real chaos began. We waited in a long line at the customer service desk, only for the agents to close the counter right as we were about to be helped. No explanation, no apology—just a proverbial door slammed in the faces of passengers who had already been stranded. We were then forced to trek across the terminal to another service desk, where the situation somehow got worse. When we finally reached an agent, she made zero effort to rebook us. We were told there were no direct flights for two days, not to Reagan, not even back to our original destination in Salt Lake City. Everything was booked, and instead of offering solutions, the agent shrugged and told us that American “isn’t going to do anything” and that we’d be better off renting a car or taking Amtrak to Washington DC. That was the extent of their “assistance.” To make matters worse, I was promised a refund for the unused portion of our flight—which never happened. Not a penny. Not even a follow‑up. Then came baggage claim. When we arrived at the baggage office, the agent literally put up a sign saying he’d be back in 15 minutes. He returned an hour later, casually admitting it was his dinner break. No urgency, no concern for the dozens of passengers waiting on him, just a shrug and a “yeah, I was gone for a while.” This entire experience showed a complete lack of organization, accountability, and basic customer service. American Airlines left us stranded, uninformed, and unsupported at every step. I’ve never encountered an airline so unwilling to help its own passengers during a disruption they caused. I will go out of my way to avoid flying American again. No traveler deserves to be treated like this.
