Flight delay

I’m still a little salty from the overnight delay. I missed a day at the beach and the first night of the conference, And, I didn’t get my luggage until Sunday evening, I was supposed to arrive Saturday night.

Worst Experience on a Business Trip

I am beyond frustrated with this airline and will NEVER fly with them again. I will be telling my company not to use them. I was scheduled to fly to Florence Italy for business at the end of January. Due to poor weather my trip was cancelled and my husband and I were stranded in Dallas Fort Worth Texas for 2 days. There was a lack of knowledge and caring that was indescribable. I have spent houses on chats and on the phone for this one trip, In the end I could not go. For me professionally this was a huge loss. I then had to rent a car out of my own pocket to drive 5 hours home and I was not permitted to take my bags with me. One of my bags was lost for 1 week and the other was lost for 2 weeks and badly damaged when returned to me. I am still trying to get my tickets refunded. I would never treat a customer so poorly. I am so disappointed. #americanairlines you can do better by your customers. I give this airlines less than 0 stars but could not post this with out atleast putting in 1 star.

Even though they partner with Alask...

Even though they partner with Alaska airlines, if you want to fly to Anchorage from Portland, Oregon. You have to fly to DFW, then Anchorage if you have American travel credit. Which is not useable on any of their partners. If you want to use American to fly to Seattle from Portland, Oregon. You have to fly to DFW, as they do not have any flights from PDX to Seattle. Kind of silly, no wonder their ratings are so low.

Forced Downgrade with no refund

I purchased, on December 11 a full fare, 1st class ticket to Phoenix. FULL FARE, no discount, no upgrade due to points or any of that. I checked in for the flight and was issued a boarding pass for seat 2A. About 12 hours prior to the flight I was called by a very rude person named Christopher, telling me that I was downgraded to economy. They offered only loyalty points as compensation, no refund. I have experience with these points, they are never actually redeemable for anything. It's impossible to accumulate enough points to qualify for anything. I told him that I absolutely do not accept the downgrade. I asked for his manager and he claimed that he had no manager. The ticket price (round trip) was $991.96. The value of an economy ticket, purchased today, for a flight six weeks in advance is $447. Ticket prices have gone up since this ticket was purchased in December. The approximate value of this downgrade is $272 for the ticket, $30 for the bag check fee which was included in the 1st class far, but I now have to pay.

Awful experience with American Airlines

Million miler with United Airlines, I had the misfortune of flying with American Airlines from Charlotte to MCO, due to weather conditions and trying to make it home. I tried to fly out of CLT on Sunday Jan 25, we made it to deicing and Captain hat to return back to gate since he ran out of hours. The passengers on this plane deplaned 2 times prior to this one. The American airline app was very confusing and while telling me I was rebooked on another flight it would not really tell me which flight it was. I booked a rental car and hotel, proceeded to the airport the next morning. My flight was scheduled for 12:20 PM, went to the gate, plenty of pilots around but no flight crews. The app and monitor would keep notifying you the flight was leaving in 30 min increments Why would you do this?? I would rather have had a notice that the flight was leaving 12 hours later so I could have enjoyed my experience at the airport in lounges etc. not waiting at a gate for nonrealistic departure times. I finally flew out at 7:00 PM we had to wait again for other passengers which had their flights cancelled. This is no weather-related incident but rather a complete incompetence of American Airlines personnel, VIPs schedulers, a pure disaster. Will never fly with this airline again, they have demonstrated pure incompetence, a low-cost airline such as Allegiant would have done a better job. Never had such a bad experience with United Airlines or Delta, I have been flying with them for almost 20 Years now, 2 million miles to be exact, and they offer a much higher level of professionalism. Extremely disappointed with American Airlines, China Southern does a much better job. One star is even too much, had to select it but for me is 0 star.

Terrible in solve problems and unfair!

I had a problem with the behavior of a man sitting next to me. I asked the flight attendant for help, but he moved me to a cheaper and more cramped seat in economy class, even though I had paid for an extra legroom seat. He also ignored me when I tried to talk to him again, interrupted me, and wouldn't let me speak. I requested a refund for the difference in seat price twice by email and once by phone, because it would be fair to return the difference I paid for the seats, and traveled 6:30 hours in class downgrade, but they did not reimburse me, only saying that they would give me mileage bonus points for AAdvantage.
