Flight delay

They got me home after. I helped them assist with helping with a manic passenger. Which resulted the plane being delayed almost 6hrs. Also resulting in me missing a day of work because of the delay.

Reception and boarding ream

Dear American Airlines, I am very dissatisfied with your service. My flight from Boston to New York was scheduled to depart at 7:22 from Gate B15. However, I missed the flight because it was suddenly changed to Gate B16 without any notification to me. I had no idea about this change. Now I have to catch my flight to Tashkent at 1 p.m., and there is very little time left — I might not make it. I am very upset with your company, and I am truly disappointed with your service. You should have informed passengers if there was a change. This situation has happened to me for the first time in my life, and it left me completely disappointed. The service was extremely poor and poorly organized. I will never use your services again.

Overall

  • close A very irresponsible company. I do not recommend it to anyone.

Emailed me that the flight was cancelled two hours before the flight. Had to buy another flight or else wait two days for the next flight that American Airlines had to Chicago.

Terrible terrible airline

I flew on Friday with my family for a week vacation. We booked via Expedia and provided our TSA PreCheck numbers. The confirmation emails from Expedia showed how both me and my wife had our TSA PreCheck numbers have been associated with our flight booking. So we arrive at the airport and when we got to the front do the line (TSA PreCheck) I was told that my boarding pass didn’t have the number and that I need to go stay in line at General Admission. My family wars all good to go but me. We double checked the confirmation emails from Expedia and we both had our TSA PreCheck numbers there. AA messed up and didn’t print it. They have IT issues for sure.

Our flight was cancelled at...

Our flight was cancelled at 02:03am on3 April when our flight was at 12:40 on 4 April. We had already travelled to the airport and stayed in hotel. We had paid for extra leg room on the Dublin to Dallas flight due to a back injury. We were unable to avail of this leg room on the rebooked flight with aer lingus.

Engine explosion in cabin during take-off

Is it another new normal to have an engine explode during take-off with flames inside the cabin? Is it the customer's burden to pay out of pocket expenses to be rerouted for the damaged and cancelled aircraft. American Airlines (AA) seems to act as if both are standard operating procedures. Well, not for this consumer. Staff is helpful, skilled and supportive during a crisis. Company is not. There was nothing in the news, a check to reimburse me for out of pocket extraneous expenses was promised and not paid. The ticket to get me home, was thanks to my resourceful husband, was paid for but it required a different airport and an overnight stay in LA to reach home. Safe thankfully. I have no doubt the engine explosion could have happened after take-off causing a real calamity. No more flying AA until I see safety changes shared with the public.
