Terrible Boarding Service and Pathetic Staff

Dear AirAdvisor Team, I’m a Pakistani woman seeking your help to claim compensation from Saudia Airlines for denied boarding, discrimination, and harm on September 25, 2025. As unaccompanied female travelers, my two friends and I were unfairly treated, causing financial loss, health issues, and emotional distress. On September 24, 2025, we flew from Multan, Pakistan, to Istanbul, Turkey, via Jeddah on Saudia Flight SV801 (16:35). During an 11-hour layover, we performed Umrah and returned early for Flight SV265 (07:05, September 25). One friend needed the restroom due to a sudden stomach issue. We reached the gate one minute after the final call, but despite the plane staying docked for 15+ minutes, staff rudely denied us boarding. We pleaded, citing our vulnerability, but faced discriminatory treatment, leaving us in tears. This violated Montreal Convention Article 19 (delay liability) and Article 17 (baggage issues), entitling us to up to 1,288 SDR compensation each. We incurred 5,000 SAR (370,000 PKR) in new tickets, draining our savings. Our luggage, with my diabetes medication, was lost for two days, causing health issues (blood sugar over 250 mg/dL; 1,200 SAR medical costs). One friend needed treatment for depression (800 SAR). Total loss: ~7,000 SAR. This breaches UDHR Article 5 (no degrading treatment), CEDAW Article 2 (anti-discrimination), ICESCR Article 12 (health rights), and CRPD Article 9 (accessibility). I complained to Saudia on September 25 and 29, 2025 (no reference number given), with no reply. Escalated to GACA, Saudi MCI, CPA, DGA, MOFA, Embassy, and HRC—still unresolved. Please secure: Full ticket refund + 200% compensation (~2,000 SAR per ticket, per GACA Article 13). Damages for medical costs and distress (7,000 SAR). Saudia contact within 48 hours via WhatsApp. Evidence (tickets: 065-2183648555, Booking: 9XAOZ9, receipts, medical records) available. If no action, I’ll escalate to ICAO and UN. Sincerely, Rafia Saeed Ticket: 065-2183648555 Booking: 9XAOZ9 Flights: SV801 (24/09/2025), SV265 (25/09/2025) WhatsApp: +92 3477702690 (Turkey) Email: sh.zohaib@outlook.com

Technical problems

My name is Syam Valsala, and I am writing to request compensation for a significant delay on my recent journey with Saudia. Booking Name: Syam Somarajan Valsala Travel Date: August 7, 2025 Flight Number: SV250 PNR: XWUZLY Booking No. 1653706599567260 E ticket no: 065-5608570166 Route: Birmingham (BHX) → Jeddah (JED) → Dubai (DXB) The first leg of my journey, Flight SV250 from Birmingham to Jeddah, was delayed by around 3 hours due to a technical fault. As a result, I missed my original connection to Dubai and was rebooked on a later flight. My original itinerary had me arriving in Dubai around 04:35, but I actually arrived at approximately 10:10, resulting in a total delay of about 6 hours at my final destination. My original booking and altered booking are attached . Best regards, Syam Valsala +447774475460 syam.hse@gmail.com

Delay, Missed Connection & Staff Misconduct – Flight SV105, 26 August 2025

The Kano–Jeddah flight was delayed by two hours. Upon arrival in Jeddah, I went to perform Umrah in Makkah and returned for my connecting flight to London. The boarding gate for this flight was opened at 09:20, and we arrived at the gate exactly at 09:30am. Despite arriving at this time, we were denied boarding, even though the gate had just been opened ten minutes earlier. This was especially unreasonable because I already had my boarding pass and only hand luggage. I was not checking in any baggage and only needed to pass through the gate to board the flight. Despite this, I was refused entry. What makes this worse is that three other passengers who were also late were allowed to board the same flight simply because they spoke Arabic, while I was refused. In addition, one of your staff members used a racist remark towards me. This was discriminatory and deeply humiliating. Because of the staff member’s harsh and unfair treatment, there was even an altercation with another passenger at the gate, as he also refused to let that passenger through. The situation escalated unnecessarily due to the staff’s unprofessional behavior. I was left without guidance or support, and the supervisor on duty offered no assistance. As a result, I lost my ticket completely and was told to purchase another one. I was stranded in the airport for over five hours with no help from Saudi Airlines. Eventually, I was forced to buy new tickets from Jeddah to London at a super expensive price because Saudi Airlines left me abandoned without any alternative. This caused me severe financial hardship, as I had already paid in advance for my original ticket.

Technical problems

Flight was cancelled right before boarding, airline cited technical issues for the delay. I had to arrange my own hotel for the night from my own expenses and I missed a day of my holiday that I paid for. We were rescheduled for the next day, and we arrived in Dubai a day late for the holiday. There was no warning, and this did cause great inconvenience.

I received the email on the day the flight was to depart in the morning near about 10 clock but it was the last day of my trip so I was busy packing and checking the gifts. So I did not check the emails and I as usual reached there 3 hours before the departure of my flight and found out that the flight had been rebooked at 00.55 am. I waited and when it was 00.55 am but boarding did not start and then I boarded after some time and I sat in the flight till around 3 am and kept waiting for it to depart. My connecting flight was at 10.00 am on the same day but because of all these delays I landed at around 09.30 am and got off the flight around 10.00 am and at that time the airport staff literally bagged me so fast that we started closing the boarding and I ran around the airport, did all the checking and boarded the flight as if the flight got delayed because of me. So this is what happened first time flying with saudia airline but the experience was really bad

What time did you arrive at your final destination? We arrived at our final destination, Islamabad (ISB), in the early hours of 25th August 2024, following a two-day delay from our original scheduled departure of 22nd August. What did the airline tell you, and when? We were informed of the delay on the morning of the scheduled flight, 22nd August. The explanation provided by Saudia Airlines was vague, referencing scheduling issues but offering no clear or specific reason for the disruption. There was little to no further communication or transparency provided throughout the delay. What care did the airline provide, if any? The airline did not provide any assistance or care during the delay. No hotel accommodation, food, transport, or support was offered. The only action taken was the rebooking of the flight to 24th August, leaving us to manage all additional costs and arrangements on our own. How did the incident inconvenience you? The delay caused significant disruption and financial loss. We had to cover unexpected costs for food and transportation, and we missed scheduled experiences and events. Our travel plans were tightly scheduled, and the delay forced us to rearrange nearly everything, both in the UK and upon arrival in Pakistan. Did you miss an event or lose money? Yes, we experienced financial losses on multiple fronts. We missed pre-booked car rentals and hotel bookings in both the UK and Pakistan, for which we were unable to secure refunds. We also lost money due to having to rebook activities and travel arrangements at our destination. These were non-refundable and could not be rescheduled, resulting in a direct financial loss and missed experiences for our family.

Worst crew and worst experience

Good evening, I recently had the opportunity Returning from hajj to fly with Saudia Airlines from Jeddah to Mumbai, flight number SV3102 Date : 22 June 2025 Seat :47J(but was seating on 47K) , and unfortunately, my experience was marred by subpar service from the crew. As I am regular traveler with flights over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, I've had the pleasure of flying with numerous airlines, including Qatar, Emirates, and Lufthansa. However, my experience with Saudia Airlines fell short of my expectations. Upon boarding, none of the crew members offered a warm smile or a welcoming gesture, which set the tone for the rest of the flight. One crew member in particular, a tall, elderly I think Filipino lady, was most grumpy crew. When I accidentally spilled some water at side stand while taking some water and I did apologised, she responded in Tagalog, saying I shouldn't have touched the water bottle instead of saying it's ok . Her tone and body language conveyed a sense of annoyance, which made me feel uncomfortable. As the flight progressed, the air conditioning in the cabin began to malfunction, causing the temperature to rise. I requested assistance twice, but nobody assisted. In hindsight, I understand that technical issues can arise, but a proactive approach from the crew would have gone a long way in mitigating the discomfort. Offering cold water would have been a thoughtful gesture, especially considering the number of elderly passengers and first-time flyers on board. The most distressing part of my experience, however, was the behavior of one of the male crew members during disembarkation. As passengers were exiting the plane, he was sitting near the door, rather than standing to bid farewell. What's more, when a passenger's bag touched him, he started hitting it with his elbow more than one time, which I found unacceptable. In flight all passengers was returning from hajj we got so much respect on land from people but very disappointed about the crew behaviour in flight seems like we were travelling free of cost or seems like Saudia airlines don't pay them. Myself has worked in the hospitality industry for over two decades, I understand the importance of providing excellent customer service. Unfortunately, Saudia Airlines fell short of my expectations. I hope that the airline will take my feedback seriously and take concrete steps to improve the training and coaching of their crew members. By doing so, they can work towards providing a better experience for their passengers and establishing themselves as a leader in the industry. In conclusion, while the flight itself was uneventful, the service provided by the crew was subpar. I hope that Saudia Airlines will take my feedback constructively and strive to improve their customer service standards. Note: I m not lying and I informed GD about the 3rd incident.

Technical problems

We experienced a heavy delay for our flight leaving from Manchester to Jeddah. A pin had broken in the plane when the wire (to power the engines) was pulled out so there was no electrical input to the plane. As a result of this, we were made to wait for an additional 2-3 hours at the gate prior to boarding. Once we had boarded, we had to wait an additional 1 hour before take-off, with an infant this was not easy. Moreover, due to the technical difficulties, we were told that there was no water on the plane. Due to the delay in take off of almost 4 hours, we missed our connecting flight in Jeddah to Madinah. As a result, we had to wait an additional 4 hours in Jeddah for the next available flight. Moreover, when we finally reached our destination, we had missed out on the first night of our hotel booking. Our travel time was lengthened greatly and we experienced a lot of difficult and stress from this delay as we had an infant with us.

• Original Itinerary: London Heathrow (26 Jan) – Jeddah (27 Jan) – Cochin (27 Jan). • Actual travel: London Heathrow (26 Jan) – Neom (27 Jan) - Jeddah (27 Jan) - Abudhabi (28 Jan)– Cochin (28 Jan). 1. Issues Faced During the Journey On 26 January, my flight from London Heathrow to Jeddah was delayed due to flight's technical issues. After sitting inside the aircraft for over 3 hours with disruptions to lighting and air conditioning, I was eventually asked to disembark for the reason of transiting and boarded an alternative Saudia flight. This flight too was delayed by an additional 3 hours and I only reached Jeddah on the morning of 27 January. Upon reaching Jeddah, the Saudia Transit Desk handed me a boarding pass for my connecting flight to Cochin which was inexplicably scheduled for 29 January — two days later. There was no communication or explanation from the staff and just handed me the boarding pass. After realising the date and time of travel and asked why is this, they said as per policy they could only provide the next available fight to Cochin and no further explanation was given regarding this significant delay. When I raised my concerns of having to attend the funeral on the 28th Jan, I had to wait for several hours and repeatedly follow up at least four times every 1 hour before the supervisor finally provided an alternative travel option on Etihad Airlines. This option required me to travel from Jeddah to Abu Dhabi on the evening of 27 January and then onwards to Cochin arriving on 28 January morning. 2. Baggage Issues Upon arriving in Cochin on 28 January my baggage was missing. Etihad personnel at Cochin airport informed me that I needed to contact Saudia Airlines, as the baggage was not reported in the system. Nevertheless, I had insisted to raise a complaint and I have attached herewith the form filled and signed. They had advised that they might send the baggage on the next Saudia Flight which was today morning and the only option to contact them was online and no point in waiting at the airport, as were not present at the airport then. On 29 January, I contacted Saudia again and was informed that my baggage had not been located with the last update being recorded on 26 January stating - checked in and rerouted with no further information on where the baggage was rerouted to. To make matters worse, I was told that I could neither raise a complaint via phone nor online. Attempts to submit a complaint online failed as my last flight segment was with Etihad Airlines. Despite multiple attempts, I could not get a clear response from either of the Saudia and Etihad team other than to again wait till tomorrow morning. Additionally, both airlines were pointing at others to raise the complaint. I have never been in a situation where the company won't accept or take a complaint either online or via phone. Please read through the attached email which I sent to Saudia Customer Service. I have received no response as of today regarding the delay as well as the baggage delay. This whole experience cost me time and money. I was delayed to the funeral and further expenses till I got my baggage on the 30th of January. I hope no one experiences what I have been through!

unislamic behavior

I am a golden Alfursan member for many years and I am unfortunately shifting to Emirates airlines for many reasons. when I go to check in, the music is so loud that I feel ashamed as a Saudi and as Muslim to have this in the the gate way of the two Haramain even during Fajr athan! also the onboard entertainment is shameful as the Islamic programs are so poor and embarrassing compared to the latest movies as if the people in charge are ashamed of being Muslims! I have taken two flights to Toronto business class on Emirates and there is no comparison between their great service and Saudia. It is shameful that I pay an arm and a leg for your tickets while I get only maximum of 10 minutes internet. on emirates, it is non stop and it is free!

Boarding Denied

As detailed in my previous correspondence, my family and I faced extraordinary external circumstances that delayed our check-in by only two minutes. Despite there being 58 minutes remaining until departure, your staff refused to accommodate us, leading to unnecessary financial losses and emotional distress. Given the lack of available alternative flights on Saudia Airlines, we were forced to purchase new tickets with Etihad Airways, incurring significant additional costs. Our inability to board was not due to our own negligence, but rather due to severe congestion and poor crowd management at the airport, which your airline should have reasonably accounted for.

My flight was updated in mail but not in reality

I received an email notifying me that my flights from Mumbai to Jeddah (SV 773) and then to Amsterdam (SV 215) had been rescheduled from January 14th to January 15th, with a new route from Mumbai to Zurich (LX 155) and then to Amsterdam (KL1916). Refer to the attached pictures below. However, when I arrived at the airport on January 15th, I was denied boarding because my name was not on the passenger list for the updated flight (LX 155). I attempted to contact the Saudia staff, but they were unavailable at that time in the airport and toll-free number was not functional in English. Since I was already a day behind schedule and couldn't afford any further delays, I had to purchase a last-minute ticket from another airline, which was extremely expensive (98044 INR) Please see the reference of purchase below. I would greatly appreciate if all of my losses are compensated for the inconvenience and the trouble I had been through.

Complaint Regarding Unprofessional Behavior by Check-In Supe

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding an incident involving my father, at the check-in counter on 20-12-2024. My father was stopped by a check-in supervisor, who falsely informed him that his visa was not valid and refused to allow him to board his flight. Despite the fact that my father holds a valid visa issued by the Saudi Arabian government, the supervisor insisted that the visa was incorrect and that he could not proceed. As a result, my father missed his flight, losing both his time and money. To make matters worse, the supervisor's behavior was completely unprofessional. Rather than offering assistance or clarifying the situation, the supervisor suggested that my father change his flight to the evening, claiming that his "friend," who runs a visa agency, could issue a new visa at a reasonable price. The supervisor even went so far as to ask me if I knew anyone who could send an email to help provide my father with access to the flight, though this would have involved obtaining a new, valid visa. This behavior is entirely unacceptable, as it not only caused my father unnecessary distress but also resulted in financial losses. We feel that my father was treated disrespectfully and unfairly, as if his concerns were unimportant. Date: 20-12-2024

Misbaviour of ground staff

Flying with Saudi Arabian Airlines December 6, 2024 Islamabad to Jeddah – Flight SV727 Jeddah to Toronto – Flight SV61 We have traveled with different airlines for the last half-century. Flying with Saudia was the worst experience of our life. It left a bitter taste in my mouth and a feeling of depression and confusion about the treatment my wife and I received from the ground staff during our travel. My wife and I bought the EMD tickets paying $199.34 per seat extra and were given pre-reserved seat assigned seat numbers 30D and 30E for our return journey. We had to take these front-row bulkhead seats because my wife suffers from heavy leg cramping and cannot sit in a confined space for long periods. On our return journey, we arrived at the Islamabad airport front counter at midnight and checked in. To our surprise, we were allocated seats 32K and 32L for our flight between Jeddah and Toronto, changed from our pre-reserved seats, and were not in the front. As this was contrary to our pre-reserved seat numbers, we objected and showed the attendant our reservations and seat numbers. The agent refused to change the seat numbers. When we insisted that we wanted our assigned seat numbers, the ground supervisor was called in, who flatly refused to accommodate our request, and told me to ‘step aside’ to let other passengers be served. Before boarding at the Jeddah airport, we informed the ground staff, about the problem, who said ‘nothing could be done.’ Inside the aircraft, the flight crew refused to accommodate us and instructed us to take our allotted seats, 32K and 32L, while they called the ground supervisor. We took the assigned seats and waited. The ground supervisor entered the airplane in a frenzy and without talking to us started giving rapid and angry instructions to the flight crew. Then, as he was leaving, saying ‘Khalas’ I interfered to explain our position to him, but before I could open my mouth, he shouted at me and said, ‘I don’t want to hear a word from you. If you have a complaint, go enter it on our website, when you get to your destination.’ He then told me that if I did not ‘shut up’, he would call Security and offload us from the flight. He then started to make a call on his phone, asking for security personnel to come up quickly. We had no other option but to give up, which was not only embarrassing but also extremely insulting. He then left the plane and the doors were closed. It was a very uncomfortable flight for us, as all the seats were full, and my wife suffered due to restricted space and legroom, for the next 14 hours. In addition, the humiliation resulting from the unexpected mistreatment of the Saudia staff brought us extreme disrespect. I demand that the airline look into this matter seriously and respond to my complaint, considering the following: • We paid $199.34 each for two seats that we did not get • My wife suffered physically due to this unexpected change of seats and risked serious physical conditions • We were insulted publicly at the Islamabad and Jeddah airports and in the airplane • Everybody at both the airports and then during the 14 hours of flight kept looking at us as if we were criminals traveling with them • The behavior of the ground staff was completely unacceptable and intolerable. We demand that a full investigation be carried out and all the people involved be questioned as to why this happened and what the airline will do about it. We also want a formal apology and compensation on for the following: • Monetary loss • Insult and embarrassment • Inconvenience. Awaiting your urgent response, Khalid Rauf Qureshi Azra Khalid Qureshi 11 Trafford Crescent, Markham, Ontario, Canada, 3R 7H6 Phone: 416-938-8264

Formally lodge a complaint - Jeddah airport SV staff

Dear Sir, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the extremely poor service and overall negative experience my friend and I encountered on our recent flight with Saudi Airlines. Upon reaching the gate flight SV389, we were informed that our seats had been given to other passengers. Despite the plane being at the airport, one of the staff members at the counter rudely refused to let us board, shouted at us, and directed us to incorrect gates. Her colleague unhelpfully stated that his job was to remove us from the airport rather than assist us in boarding the plane, which was both shocking and disappointing. After a long time of negotiation with her and moving between her and another colleague in a different area of the airport, she finally told us, with a seemingly happy demeanor, that we could now take a photo of the gate because it now was formally closed. After contacting the Egypt hotline today, I was informed that the system erroneously showed that I had boarded the plane, despite being stuck at the gate. This error further wasted our time and added to our frustration as we received no support from the customer service representative. Consequently, we had to book another flight via Saudi Arabia online. The ground staff of Saudi Airlines were uncooperative, and no customer service support was available inside the airport. We were forced to reserve another flight and were told our luggage would be transferred to the new flight reservation. The staff refused to print our boarding passes and directed us to the wrong gate multiple times. Once we finally boarded the new flight SV389, we discovered that our seats were not together as previously informed. Upon arriving in Cairo, we found that our baggage was missing. This was the worst travel experience of my life. We experienced significant stress and exhaustion and were forced to incur triple the travel costs for the sake of Saudi Airlines' profit—once from selling our original seats and again when we purchased new tickets at triple the value of our main ticket. I kindly request that you address these issues and provide a fair refund for the second flight ticket and good compensation for the luggage delay, in addition to compensation for the poor service and inconvenience experienced. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Best Regards, Mona Ahmed. Projects and Operation Senior Manager. Mobile: +2010- 68843419

Don't remember

First We where told that the flight was delayed 1 hour, then 2, then 3 and then continued on for several hours. Eventually after being allowed to board on the plane, the plane then started to move on to runway, only to then suddenly stop and turn around, telling us that the issue had not been properly fixed. So we had to wait on the plane another hour. Making the delay approx 7/8 hours in total. Having 2 small children with me, it was very difficult for us all and a horrible experience. Having been told that there was a fault in the engine which was being looked at gave us all severe anxiety. Also my husband- Aqib khan suffers from chronic pancreatitis and cannot eat foods without his pre meds (creon) so after his meds had finished (the ones in hand luggage) he was unable to eat until he landed in Jeddah. We were due to start our Umrah (pilgrimage) at arrival but this was then delayed by 7/8hrs, which meant we had to then do it midday in the scorching heat with young children. I also suffer from gallstones and most of my medication was in checked luggage as I didn't realise there would be such a long delay, so didn't have enough pain relief meds to take. The whole experience was traumatic for all 4 of us and would not recommend this airline to nobody. The flight attendants didn't even offer any snacks or drinks and the AC wasn't on either so everyone was panicking in the small vicinity having been told there was a fault with the engine. We arrived at Jeddah airport at approx 5am when it should have been approx 11pm. Our transport ended up leaving as the delay was so long, and then we had to wait around for another driver to pick us up, therefore didn't arrive at the hotel until 7.30am. A whole day was waisted due to the delay which could have been resolved by getting passengers to swith planes.

Cancelled flight by Saudia Airlines + delay

We booked 3 flight tickets with Saudia Airlines from Amman to Toronto (2-way). There was a flight cancellation on departure date (changed from Aug 18th to Aug 20th, 2024), this cancellation was replaced with a flight 2 days later with 13hours of layover in Jedda (King Abdelaziz Airport) and that was instead of 2/2.5hrs of layover on the original flight. We had to pay a fee for electronic visa and enter Saudia and book a hotel (extra cost). Our flight back from Toronto (YYZ) to Amman (AMM) on Oct 6th, 2024, we received a note fro flight cancellation 6:50am while our original departure was on Oct 6th, 2024 at 16:35pm. Saudia Airlines sent a note that flight is cancelled and they gave us an option to travel on October 19th, 2024 instead of Oct 6th, 2024 (which is 13 days delay/2 weeks). It took too long with high levels of stress to get hold of an agent at the Saudia Airlines and finally they transferred our tickets to Royal Jordanian Airlines (RJ). This flight was scheduled form Oct 7th, 2024 at 11:35AM - which added 1 day of delay to return to Amman, Jordan. We paid Saudia Airlines $241.16 (online) to add an extra bag, and even though we requested to notify the RJ airlines about this 3rd bag for one of us (passengers) they denied it at the airport (by RJ airlines), and it ended up having us to pay $350 at the counter at the airport (YYZ). We tried contacting Saudia airlines and we were getting into dead end with no answer or compensation for the paid $241.16 online for the extra bag and then $350 for the same extra bag at the airport to RJ airlines. We are hoping to have justice and get compensated for all this delays, inconvenience and stress that this trip has caused to us. Thank you!

Request for Refund Due to Flight Delay and Missed Connection

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to formally request a refund for the tickets purchased for my father, Mr. Ghouri, who traveled from Lahore to Riyadh and then from Riyadh to Frankfurt. Unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory, and I would like to outline the circumstances that led to this request. My father's flight arrived at Riyadh airport on August 23, 2024, but was delayed upon landing. Additionally, he was assigned a seat that was located far from the exit, and T2-T4 Duration, which significantly hindered his ability to catch his connecting flight to Frankfurt. I spoke with a customer care representative at Riyadh airport who explained that the combination of the flight delay and the distant seating assignment contributed to him missing his connection. My father is 70 years old, I was extremely concerned for his well-being when he was left waiting for a resolution at the airport. The representative informed me that an email had been sent to your team regarding this situation and that a response could take one to three days. This was not an acceptable scenario, as I could not leave my father waiting at the airport for such an extended period. To ensure my father's safe travel, I had to book an alternative flight to Frankfurt. Unfortunately, the return ticket was also canceled as a result of these complications, leaving us in a very difficult position. I have made numerous calls and sent emails seeking a resolution, but I have yet to receive an appropriate response. We had chosen Saudi Airlines with the expectation of reliable service, but this experience has deeply affected our trust in your airline. Therefore, I kindly request a full refund for both tickets purchased for my father and an acknowledgment of the inconvenience caused. An apology from your team would also be appreciated as it would help restore our faith in Saudi Airlines. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response and resolution. Kindly find the attached Saudi airline ticket , Boarding pass issued by saudi airline and next both tickets . I want to make complaint for denied boarding Saudia airline

I am submitting a complaint regarding Saudia Airlines at Jeddah Airport. My family, consisting of my wife, three children, and I, along with four other passengers (nine people in total), were denied boarding by the ground staff after the final call, despite being present near the gate. The staff member in charge of the flight arbitrarily closed the boarding gate in front of us and treated us poorly, showing no consideration for my children. He insisted that all nine of us book another flight at our own expense. I then requested that our luggage be offloaded from the plane, as it contained medication, valuable gifts, and perishable food items that required refrigeration after a certain period. The staff member assured me that the luggage would be removed since we hadn’t boarded the plane. However, after waiting 14 hours and spending the entire night at Jeddah Airport, I purchased another flight with Flynas. When I arrived in Dubai, I discovered that our luggage had not been offloaded from the Saudia Airlines plane, which is a violation of aviation regulations. Upon retrieving my luggage, I found that the bags were completely damaged. Unfortunately, I only noticed this damage after arriving home, as it was inside the bags, resulting in losses estimated at 3,500 EUR. Additionally, I had to purchase new tickets from Jeddah to Dubai for 1,100 EUR. Therefore, I am demanding compensation from Saudia Airlines for the psychological and emotional distress caused by being denied boarding, having to spend an entire night at Jeddah Airport with my family, and for the financial losses, including the cost of the new tickets.
