As we arrived at the airport to check in on May 22, 2024, we were told the flight BUC-PAR AF 6637 will have a delay that will cause us to miss our connection in Paris. We were given the option to rebook the flight for May 23, 2024. This reschedule of the flight caused us to arrive at our final destination in Atlanta, US with a delay of 24 hours.- Bucharest-Atlanta

Strike
Our Air France Flight AF378 from Madrid to Paris to Detroit was cancelled on July 3, 2025 due to French ATC strikes. After waiting over two hours in line at the airport, Air France offered only a low-cost carrier rerouting with multiple connections requiring over 24 hours of total travel time - no comparable same-day options were provided. Air France provided one night of hotel accommodation, but it was poor quality with questionable buffet food. We received no meal or transportation vouchers, and no communication about alternatives. We were given contradictory information by Air France representatives - initially told that a €600+ refund per person was being processed, but a later phone call stated "you will not be getting a refund." This caused additional confusion and frustration. The incident caused us to lose almost 48 hours of travel time and arrive at our final destination a almost two full days later than scheduled and miss our July 4th holiday plans. We incurred additional out-of-pocket expenses and experienced major disruption to our planned itinerary due to the inadequate rebooking options and extended delay. I am requesting €600 compensation per passenger (x2) under EU Regulation 261/2004 and reimbursement for costs incurred.- Madrid-Detroit

As we arrived at the counter on May 22,2024 to do the check-in for our flight BUC-PAR , flight AF 6637, 13.10, we were told the flight will have a delayed arrival in Paris and that will cause us to miss the flight connection PAR-ATL. We were given the option to change the booking to May 23,2024, in order not to spend the night in Paris airport with our 2 minor children. Due to our first flight being delayed, we arrived at our destination in ATL with a delay of 24 hours, on May 23, 2025 at 20.20. This caused our children to miss end of school year events scheduled for May 23rd, 2024.- Bucharest-Atlanta

They only compensated me for 5 nights of hotel stay (one payment for one night and another payment for 4 nights) we arrived in France and did not have a flight back home to Israel for 5 more days. EN : The first flight (Toulouse-Paris CDG) was delayed (approx. 1h late), so i missed my connection. Air France booked a hotel and a flight for the next morning, so i arrived in hamburg more than 12h late, around 11h30. Air France didn't mention the cause of the delay, i missed a special event (and received wrong informations to get to my hotel, which caused stress/fatigue and extra waiting time). Thank you for taking care of this FR : Mon premier vol (Toulouse-Paris) a été retardé d'environ 1h, ce qui m'a fait rater ma correspondance. Air France a réservé un hotel et une place sur un vol le lendemain matin, ce qui m'a permis d'arriver à destination à Hambourg, mais à 11h30 le lendemain, soit un retard de plus de 12h.- Toulouse-Hamburg

extra 337,18 EUR for print boarding card.
As I requested the paper boarding card on the air port, I heard that its impossible because of flight modification. The flight has not been modified, check in has been done on time, I presented myself on time in the airport. The problem, I suppose, is that check in has been done before I requested the boarding card. The lady that attended thought that I want to make check in and she could not make it again. Upgraded seats
We upgraded our seats to be in priority to board the plane fast. We were just behind the business class and yet we board last as zone 5. This is not good since we felt humiliated too during the boarding. When i tap my boarding pass they told me we were zone 5 but we upgraded to priority. It’s not fair, we were boarding same with people who did not upgrade their seats. What is the use of upgrading when we can have a benefit on it?- Economy

Problems at airport
1. Operational Failures as the Primary Cause of the Missed Connection While I acknowledge that adverse weather at CDG contributed to the diversion of flight AF1819 to Paris Orly (ORY), the significant delays and subsequent missed connection were primarily caused by human-related operational inefficiencies, which are not exempt under EC 261/2004. I refer to the following points, as previously mentioned: Departure Delay at Frankfurt (33 minutes): Flight AF1819 was scheduled to depart at 19:55 but departed at 20:28, a delay of 33 minutes. This was due to the unavailability of an escalator for a disabled passenger and transport to the aircraft, which are operational matters within Air France’s control. These issues are not weather-related and could have been mitigated with proper planning and resources. Disembarkation Delay at Orly (94 minutes): After landing at Orly at 22:20, passengers were held onboard for 1 hour and 34 minutes, disembarking only at 23:54. This was due to a lack of ground crew and stairs, as well as a failure to communicate the change in plans until 30 minutes after landing. These are clear operational oversights, as timely coordination of ground services is within the airline’s responsibility, regardless of the diversion. Lack of Support at Orly: Upon disembarking, passengers were left unattended for over 30 minutes with no Air France staff present. We were later instructed to travel independently to CDG for rebooking, without assistance or guidance. This lack of support exacerbated the disruption and delayed our ability to reach CDG in time for the connecting flight AF188 (scheduled to depart at 23:20). These operational failures significantly contributed to the total delay, which prevented me from catching flight AF188 (Paris to Hong Kong, scheduled departure at 23:20 and actual departure at 23:57 on 11 May 2025). Had Air France managed these aspects efficiently (e.g., timely departure, prompt disembarkation, and proper passenger support), I could have reached CDG in time for my connection, even with the diversion to Orly. The Wallentin-Hermann ruling (C-549/07) supports that operational issues, even in the context of weather-related disruptions, do not automatically qualify as extraordinary circumstances if the airline could have taken reasonable measures to avoid the delay.- Frankfurt-Hong Kong

We where schedueld to arrive in nice 03.07.25 but arrived 05.07.25, we where not offered new flights and had to buy a yrakn ticket our self. Unprofessional boarding personnel
This email is a serious complaint against an A/F staff member who was boarding priority and business class from CDG gate 41. Had the employee acted in a courteous and professional manner from the beginning, this complaint would not be warranted. I am a 79-year-old who is presently suffering a bout of sciatica in my left hip which can be medically documented, if necessary. This condition requires that I must often walk with a cane to minimize pain. I am aware that under US FTA regulations this condition allows for unquestioned priority boarding. I do not know French or EC regulations. On my flight from the US, I was afforded this courtesy without question in a sensitive and professional manner. However, on the return flight to the US, my experience was less than courteous, professional or satisfactory. I was peremptorily denied any courtesy in an arbitrary and imperious manner with no explanation. When I requested this courtesy, I was asked to wait by the disabled seats, which I did. I was told by a different, and apparently, junior employee (dark black skin, long black hair, mid to late 20s) that I would be boarded when priority boarding began. This did not happen. I again asked, and was told to wait by a light skinned, black woman, mid-thirties, mid height, glasses, dark hair pulled back, who apparently, was the superior of the other staff member. It was then inferred that only people in wheelchairs would receive priority boarding, and I was refused by the senior employee. The junior staff member tried to permit us to board, but the line was taken over by her senior who turned us away imperiously, officiously, and without explanation. At this point, things got out of hand. I confess that as a senior, retired professional, I am used to receiving a certain level of respect, courtesy and consideration. Although, I have learned from many airport experiences and flights to submerge all emotion, and even self-respect, I lost my temper and in anger and frustration at what I felt was imperious, arbitrary, and unjust treatment, I muttered the word "bitch". Unfortunately, this was overheard, and the senior employee had a "meltdown". and furiously ordered me to the end of the line. No apology was acceptable, though attempted numerous times. The employee would listen to nothing and only talked over me. When I advised that I would make a complaint, and tried to read her ID number, she abruptly tore it off. I went to the end of the line as I wanted to avoid any further possible irrational behavior, was boarded courteously and with deference to my cane, and had an uneventful flight to JFK. I can only assume that your employee's behavior violated at least several rules and regulations. Further, in fact, I offered to drop any complaint if my wife and i were permitted to board as requested. I was adamantly refused and the employee refused to even listen. I wish to make it clear that the junior employee acted throughout in a courteous and professional manner and is a credit to A/F. In fact, I believe that she was embarrassed by her superior's behavior. She was caught in the middle of a difficult situation which she handled with aplomb. On the other hand, the senior employee's behavior has already been characterized. It is respectfully suggested that she grossly abused and misused her minor authority and should not have a position in which she is in contact with the public. Perhaps, if she had made a rational and mature explanation of correct rules prior to the incident, all could have been avoided. Would you be kind enough to advise of the outcome of this complaint so that I, and others on social media don't have to think seriously about not flying Air France in the future. Thanking you in advance for your curtesy. Very truly yours, Eugene Goldstein- Economy

I received a message at 6:56 am informing us that the plane was cancelled. The alternative given by Air France was to fly through London at 17.30 on the same day and arrive in Bogotá at 3 am the next morning. I called AIR FRANCE to ask whether the UK temporary visa was needed and they said yes. Yet, the price for the three of us for a temporary visa on the same day of the flight was close to 6000 SEK or just below 600 Euros. I called Air FRANCE again and they offered us the same flight of the next day, but that would mean that I would miss all my Thursday afternoon meetings. In short, we were meant to arrive on Wednesday, the 11th of June at 19.20 in Bogotá, and we did on the 12th of June. We also lost our extra leg room seats in the new flight and had to ask for a voucher for compensation.- Copenhagen-Bogota

In flight ac pipe burst and forced to move from premium seat
As we were awaiting departure on the tarmac my wife noticed water coming from the cabin ceiling. We notified the attendant who stated "oh, it's the AC but it will stop as soon as we take off." It did not, the attendant then stuffed paper in the leak, no help, then the leak burst soaking my wife who had to change her seat. The problem is we had paid several hundreds dollars more for a Premium Economy seat while she was forced to move to Economy halfway thru the flight. We asked for her ticket fare to be credited for 5 hours of the flight remaining. Air France offered a $70 credit for a future flight within one year which we refused as an insult. After filing formal complaints and review we were refused any difference in the fair amount. Unbelievable!- Economy

FREQUENT FLYING NUMBER: 005253368082 Freeborn EJENAVI - Date of Birth: October 1, 1973 Booking Code: X597VO Ticket No: 0742123264049 My flight, Lagos to Paris to Edinburgh was booked for Saturday, May 10, 2025 @ 11.50pm on AF149. To have arrived Edinburgh Sunday May 11, 2025 @ 10.30am to catch up an appointment slated for Sunday May 11, 2025 @ 14Hrs Edinburgh time. If you look at the exigency (timeline of the return flight within 1 week), not minding high cost of flight within a short period, you would realize that time was of essense with respect to the booking. I had to make extra payments (256 pounds) at some point for change of flight dates to suit my meeting in Edinburgh for Sunday, May 11, 2025 for 14hrs. These were all because time was of essense. In Nigeria, i took a local flight into Lagos on Saturday, May 10, 2025 with the intention of catching up the international flight for same Saturday, May 10, 2025. Alas! I got notice of the cancelled flight when i was already at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.......Frustrated. Notice was short. An extra night in Lagos made me miss the appointment in Edinburgh. This is because i eventually arrived Edinburgh airport on Sunday, May 11, 2025 @ 10.45pm. I got to where i was eventually accommodated at 12am Monday May 12, 2025 (midnight) when most transport services in Edinburgh had closed. This was a huge inconvenience. What time did you arrive at your final destination? Late night Monday, May 12, 2025 What did the airline tell you, and when? I was notified of flight cancellation when i was already at the Murtala Muhammed Int'l airport, Lagos What care did the airline provide, if any? How did the incident inconvenience you? To a large extent. Discomfort; most transport system Did you miss an event or lose money? DEFINITELY - The Essene of paying additional 256 pounds for change of flight date in April 2025 was defeated.
