Technical problems
I was delayed in Harare due to a bird strike during takeoff. I had to run through OR Tambo Airport in order to catch my connecting flight to London. My luggage was not put on my flight in Johannesburg! I arrived in Munich with no luggage and therefore had to purchase clothing essentials.- Harare-Munich

We were travelling from Glasgow to Lahore with a connection in London on 31 December 2025. Our first flight from Glasgow to London arrived as planned, but our connecting flight from London to Doha was delayed. Shortly after, we received a message saying the flight would be diverted to Manchester, and then another notification informing us that the flight had been cancelled. After the cancellation, we were rebooked onto a different route. Instead of flying LondonβDohaβLahore as originally planned, we were rerouted from London to Abu Dhabi and then from Abu Dhabi to Lahore the following day. This caused a significant delay and disruption to our journey. Because of the cancellation and the change to our travel route, we arrived at our destination much later than scheduled. I am therefore requesting compensation for the disruption to our flights.- Glasgow-Lahore

bad customer service bereavement flights
We had bereavement flights from London to Philadelphia scheduled and then cancelled three times due to severe weather on the mid-Atlantic coast during the recent winter storm (Feb 22-24). We were advised all regional airports (NYC, BWI, IAD) were also unavailable for rebooking. While we understand weather conditions are out of our control, and as such we assumed travel was impossible, we were surprised to hear from family members in the US, that tickets on United (within the one world alliance) were still showing as available online, specifically LHR -> IAD. When we contacted British airline agents (this took 2+ hours, starting at midnight) we were ultimately told that we would have to pay $4K for tickets, as rebooking for bereavement flights was unavailable. When we boarded the next morning, I was expecting a full flight, considering the lack of bereavement support we received from BA. Instead, there were at least 20 seats empty. It feels like price gouging at the very time a grieving family needed to rely on our long time main airline for support. Beyond frustrating & disappointingOverall

DELAYED FLIGHT WITH POOREST CUSTOMER SERVICE
FLIGHT TO LONDON WAS DELAYED. WE WAITED FOR OVER 30 MINUTES TO GET TO THE GATE. AT THE GATE NO WHEEL CHAIRS WERE AVAILABLE. AIRLINE STAFF WAS RUDE AND DID NOT HELP LOCATE THE WHEEL CHAIRS. ASKED TO SEAT IN THE BUGGY. WAITED FOR A VERY LONG TIME (OVER 30 MINUTES) ON A BUGGY TO GET TO ANOTHER GATE FOR HOUSTON. BUGGY BATTERY WAS NOT CHARGED CAUSING JERKY DRIVE. BUGGY DRIVER DID NOT KNOW OF OUR FLIGHT SCHEDULE AND FAILED TO LOOK AT OUR BOARDING PASS TO SEE WHAT OUR HOUSTON FLIGHT BOARDING TIME WAS. WE HAD GONE BACK AND FORTH AND ENDED UP AT ASSISTANCE DESK INSTEAD OF OUR NEXT GATE. AGAIN THERE WERE NO WHEEL CHAIRS AVAILABLE. NO ONE WAS THERE TO HELP. MY WIFE (WHO COULD BARELY WALK) AND I HAD TO WALK TO GET TO ANOTHER TERMINAL WHICH WE COULD NOT BECAUSE OF SECURITY SYSTEM. SECURITY LADY WAS UNBELIVEABLE TO WORK WITH. AFTER ALL THIS FIASCO AND EXTREMELY LONG WAIT (ALMOST OVER AN HOUR AND A HALF), WE WERE OFFERED ANOTHER FLIGHT ON THE NEXT DAY. MY WIFE SUFFERED ILLNESS FROM CHILLING WEATHER AND A VERY LONG WALK. DINNER AT THE MOTEL WAS THE LOUSIEST FOOD WE HAVE EVER EATEN. TOO FEW CHOICES FOR VEGETARIANS. THERE WAS NO BREAD OR BUTTER. DESSERTS CONTAINED EGGS WHICH WAS AGAINST OUR REQUEST FOR VEGETARIAN FOOD THROUGH OUT OUR JOURNEY. ON NEXT DAY, WHEEL CHAIR PERSONNEL DROPPED US OF AT THE GATE IN WHEEL CHAIR. REST, WE HAD TO WALK TO GET TO OUR SEATS. DURING THE FLIGHT, SNACKS WERE NOT AVAILABLE THAT WERE CONSUMABLE FOR VEGETERIANS. SAME FOOD WAS SERVED TWICE ON FLIGHT FROM MUMBAI TO LONDON.Overall

Formal Complaint, Booking References ZHA3GY, Z7VCKL & YOI2CM, Incorrect Cancellation, Rebooking Charges, Check-in Failure & Baggage Delay
Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding the serious mishandling of my familyβs bookings under reference ZHA3GY, and the subsequently issued references Z7VCKL and YOI2CM, for travel between London Heathrow (LHR) and Mumbai (BOM). The original booking (ZHA3GY) was for Kanchan Bhanushali and Praneel Bhanushali (my 10-year-old son). Unfortunately, due to the sudden passing of Kanchanβs mother on 17 February, we were required to remain in India for 13 days in accordance with Hindu rituals. As Praneel cannot miss school in the UK and is only 10 years old (therefore unable to travel alone), I, Parag Vivek Bhanushali, travelled to Mumbai specifically to accompany him back to London. My clear instruction to your representative was: Postpone Kanchanβs return ticket to 1 March. Align my return booking with Praneel so I could accompany him back to London on 19 February. Instead, Praneelβs ticket was cancelled entirely. I was later informed after waiting hours for review that the cancellation was allegedly done upon my instructions. I categorically deny this. I clearly stated multiple times that my 10-year-old son could not travel alone and that my booking needed to be aligned with his. There would be no reason for me to travel to India only to leave my son behind. As a result, I was forced to rebook at an additional cost of Β£615, generating new booking references Z7VCKL and YOI2CM. However, the service failures did not end there. Despite paying for the new ticket, I was unable to check in online using the newly issued booking references. This created additional stress and uncertainty. Furthermore, we were unable to properly manage seat selection. As you can imagine, children look forward to small comforts during travel something as simple as a window seat makes a big difference to a 10-year-old. After everything that had already occurred, this felt like another avoidable service failure. To further add to the distress, upon arrival in London, both of my checked-in bags did not arrive. I am currently awaiting their delivery. I have been informed that they have been located at Delhi Airport, but this has added further inconvenience after an already mishandled journey. From the initial incorrect cancellation, to the forced rebooking charge, to online check-in failure, to baggage delay this has been a continuous chain of service breakdowns. I therefore formally request: A full and proper review of the original call recording. A written explanation of how it was concluded that I requested cancellation. A refund of the Β£615 rebooking cost. Clarification as to why online check-in was unavailable on the new booking references. Confirmation and prompt delivery of my delayed baggage. Appropriate compensation for the distress, inconvenience, and service failure experienced throughout this journey. I have been flying internationally since 2001 and have never encountered such a sequence of issues. I am deeply disappointed and expect this matter to be investigated thoroughly and resolved fairly. I look forward to your prompt and reasoned response. We have another visit coming up in January 2027 for all 3 together. Original Booking Reference: ZHA3GY New Booking References: Z7VCKL & YOI2CM Regards, Parag Bhanushali 07721546940Overall

Problems at airport
Our first flight from Delhi to London got delayed for 2 hours roughly. 1 Hour it was on the ground on the airport before take-off, and 1 hour they say do to re-route of the plane to fly south of mountains in Afghanistan instead of north do to weather condition. This was told in the flight. We never had an explanation of we were stuck on the ground for 1 hour. We had a layover off 3 hours in LHR and with 1 hour left when we landed for our flight to Oslo, our flight got re-booked to a later flight. The new flight was BA 744, LHR 19:25 - 22:40 OSL. Also this flight was delayed by roughly 1 hour so landed close to midnight in Oslo, maybe 23:55. We therefore had to take a Taxi home since the last train had already gone for the day. We incurred 1880 NOK for this Taxi ride which is around 165 Euro.- Delhi-Oslo

They announced that the flight delay was due to mechanical problems. They attempted fixing and then testing new parts but no luck. Thus we were delayed nearly 6 hours causing me to miss my connection in Chicago. We were supposed to leave at 11am UK time and arrive in Chicago at 1:50pm US CT. We arrived instead at 7:20pm US CT.- London-Chicago

I was originally booked on a one layover flight. First flight got delayed I missed the flight to athens. They rebooked me on two different flights (madrid then london) to athens. I missed the madrid flight because we landed late. I saw the plane they wouldnt let me board but my baggage made it on. My bag went to madrid I went to london. Got to athens finally 12 hours after I was supposed to with 2 layovers when I shouldve only had 1. I also paid for food by cash because I was stuck in PHL for hours in the middle of the night but dont have reciept. 20$ USD.- Detroit-Athens

Dreadful Business Class overall
first, flying from Belfast to LHR, my luggage took 45 minutes to arrive on the carousel. Second, once on the plane to JHB, business class, the standards were truly terrible. This is the worst (very expensive) business class I have flown in at least 10 years. Its more like a cheap economy. Crew well mannered and unresponsive. Simple requests refused (eg a second pillow, a bottle of water to drink overnight (only glasses provided which spill everywhere) completely insufficient and inconvenient stowage for fragile items needed overnight such as spectacles, terrible terrible food, seats really appalling. I could go on. I could not believe this was BA. Now i knowOverall

Problems at airport
My flight took off early, leading me to be denied at the gate even though I arrived 30 minutes early prior to boarding time. Due to this cancellation of my original flight, my luggage was delayed and I have been in a new country for almost a week without clothes or any essentials. I arrived at my final destination hours later and still don't have access to my luggage.- Philadelphia-Rome

Technical problems
The pilot (of BA 286) told us over the station something about a tire deflating. Fixing that before departure took several hours, which resulted in getting to London around 17:30 (scheduled arrival was 15:15). This resulted in a missed connection to Bucharest. BA paid for accommodation and food for the night and rescheduled me on a flight the following morning (BA 888 on Oct 27) which landed in Bucharest about 15 hours after I was supposed to get there. In the compensation claim, BA claims this delay was due to a bird strike on a previous flight of that plane.- San Francisco-Bucharest

I was suppossed to board Iberia IB113/BA4235 at 12:15 at MAD, but previous flight BA460 was delayed, so I lost that flight After contacting BA over Whatsapp, they sent me back to LHR on BA467 so to get BA251 in the night LHR-SCL That imposed a lot of inconveniences, like doing immigration on MAD to recover my checked bags and check them again to Santiago, and the lost of previous schedules at Santiago. Also I had to consider, lunch, shower, meals at MAD, for EU59 My arrival to SCL was expected at December 17th 22:15 It happened on December 18, 9:37 AM- Nairobi-Santiago

Seeking for BA to refund my Β£1,763.70 for a service not provided.
My flight was cancelled in Covid. I was provided with an e-voucher. The initial e-voucher had to be extended as there were still no flights into the USA. BA then issued new e-voucher, the terms were different. I could now only book by phoning not using the online booking system. BA were always "experiencing high volumes of calls" when i called on numerous occasions, and I was never put through to a BA bookings agent. The recorded message suggested to "book online" before hanging up with no other information provided to assist getting to speak to a BA agent. For the e-voucher I had, I couldn't just book online. I wrote to them for help to book my ticket via their support system. A generic email came back saying they would be in touch - 5 months on, and many emails from me to them later, I am still waiting for BA's response and help. Meanwhile, the holiday to visit friends in September has been and gone, I couldn't book my ticket to join them, and the e-voucher has since expired. No refund has been given, not even the tax that BA never had to pay as I didn't fly! They have had my money for 6 years, they did not provide the service promised. Surely, I am entitled to a refund of my Β£1,763.70?!- Economy
