Mrs. June Dampier Delta Airline compliant
June Dampier 6339 Greenock drive Stone Mountain Ga. 30087 gdampier@aol.com (678-517-3271 I am writing to complain about the frustration and inconvenience experienced due to the delay of flight DL1809.The flight path was from St. Croix, United Virgin Islands to Atlanta, Georgia on July 18,2026. The flight made a detour six minutes before landing in Atlanta, Georgia. The captain made an announcement that we would be diverting to Savannah, Georgia due to weather and the condition on the ground in Atlanta, Georgia. After departing the airport and arriving at my hotel at approximately 10:40 pm, I attempted to use my food voucher via QR code did not work. I had to use my personal money to purchase a meal. I was rebooked for Sunday, July 19,2026 on DL 1809 at 8:30 am flight to Atlanta, Georgia, however the flight was delayed until 1040 am. Needless to say I was ready to get home. As I arrived in Atlanta, Georgia I headed to the domestic baggage claim to collect my luggage. I waited 30 minutes for my luggage that never came out on the carousal. I inquired with customer service and was told that my luggage is at the international side. I took the shuttle to the international side and had another 30 minutes wait to get into the airport. I was directed to customer service and inquired about my luggage once again. The agent that was handling the situation was very dismissive, rude, and was not listening. Due to her negligence and misinformation. I had to wait another hour to find out that my luggage was in customs because the flight came from an international location, which it did not. When I informed the agent that St. Croix is a United States territory, and the luggage was already cleared by customs before departing, she was dismissive once again. Her unprofessionalism caused me to have to wait another 30 minutes to receive my luggage. This ordeal was drawn out due to miscommunicatio9n, and negligence on the part of Delta airline and their agents. I have never had such a horrible experience flying with Delta airlines. The lack of compassion and concern for myself and other travelers was evident and prevalent and warrants credit equal to the amount I paid for my original ticket. I hope this does not become the norm for such a prestigious and highly regarded airline. Sincerely, Mrs. June DampierOverall

Problems at airport
Aloha. The cost of our seat upgrades at time of purchase exceeded the refunds that have been offered to us so far. The reasoning that the airport cancelled the flight thereby absolving Delta of compliance is faulty. According to flight personnel, The reason the airport cancelled the flight was that Delta's or Air France's or Delta's fueling contractor did not vacate the area which kept the aircraft from leaving the terminal before 3 hours. In any case closer review will reveal that it was Delta's responsibility, and therefore Delta must compensate. Aloha, I paused my registration to get some detailed answers before I accept your terms and authorize you to proceed. 1) Delta arranged for hotel accomodations at the CDG Hilton for the night of June 3, 2026. We took advantage of that courtesy. 2) Delta rebooked our flights for the following day, which we took advantage of. 3) Delta refunded $1254.00 ($627.00 each) to my credit card. 4) Delta issued us via email, each (2) $250.00 travel vouchers. My questions are: ohigh school reunion A) Will Air Advisor expect 30% of remunerations we have already negotiated (and received)? B) Will the money, vouchers , and services already received be at any risk? C) Since our trip for 2, in total cost over $16,000.00 is there a possibility of collecting as much as 75% of the total? D) The cockpit crew advised us over the planes speaker, that the fuel crew would not move the fuel truck away from the aircraft soon enough, so the control tower was forced to cancel our flight. And since the snafu was caused by deck crew, whether Air France, Delta or some 3rd party fueling contractor employed by Delta was at fault, Doesnt that make Delta liable for the cancellation? E) As a result, our flight to Santa Barbara landed at 4pm on 6/4/2026. The Oceano high school Graduation of Lorene’s grandson, that our trip revolved around, was at 5pm. Unfortunately, our one day cushion had been cancelled by Delta, forcing us to drive for more than a 90 minutes to Oceano to miss the graduation walk by minutes. F) After checking in at 8am GMT in Paris, flying to SLC, transferring to our connection to SBA, and arriving at SBA effectively at 1am Paris Time, then driving the 100+minutes to Oceano California only to fail to see our grandson’s milestone, was not only sadly disappointing but dangerous for to 70 year olds. Does this help you decide? Thank you. I will look forward to your response, that will enable us to proceed. Steve- Paris-Santa Barbara

Problems at airport
The flight got us to our destination a full day (24 hours) later than originally scheduled. Because of the flight cancellation, I missed my grandson’s graduation which was deeply upsetting for the entire family. We should have arrived a day early but only arrived on the day of the graduation and he had graduated by the time we made it to the school. The cost of our seat upgrades at time of purchase exceeded the refunds that have been offered to us so far. The reasoning that the airport cancelled the flight thereby absolving Delta of compliance is faulty. According to flight personnel, The reason the airport cancelled the flight was that Delta’s or Air France’s or Delta’s fueling contractor did not vacate the area which kept the aircraft from leaving the terminal before 3 hours. Terrible customer service with Baggage
Delta Air Lines, Inc. Customer Care, P.O. Box 20980 Department 980 Atlanta, GA 30320-2980 To Whom it may concern, My wife and I flew from Eugene Oregon to Seattle Washington on May 17, 2026, on flight DL3785 at 12:05pm. As we boarded the aircraft, the counter directed us to have our carry-ons checked due to space requirements. The agent apparently misdirected our bag 3006805326 name on the ticket was Ricardo Buckles and it ended up going to SNA. Our file reference number was SEADL53662 Our name is Russell Bronson and Utta Bronson Our bag was clearly marked: Russell Bronson We arrived in Seattle and were notified that the bag had been incorrectly flown to SNA We filed our report SEADL53662 and proceeded to go to our ship for our trip to Alaska. They could not get the bag back to our ship in time for sailing, we ultimately received our bag in Sitka, AK four days later after having to pay a fee for the delivery. $46.00 In the meantime, we were without my diabetic medication and my wife’s heart medication. We were both feeling not only stressed without having our medication and starting to feel ill. My wife’s headaches were from the lack of medication and the high blood pressure that resulted from that. I had no change of shoes or clothes for four days and we missed out on excursions from the ship because of the inclement weather. The reason for this letter is that we were unable to file an “online baggage report” as it required “uploading documents” and we are not “tech savvy” to do this, and we talked to representatives also, but no one could help us without going to the “online” form. We were on the phone several different times repeating the same story, over and over. We were so frustrated with the individual representatives because they didn’t understand why we couldn’t start this process “online” and we again told them, we were not “tech savvy” to do this. It was like it fell on deaf ears. Our Alaskan cruise was greatly interrupted by the gross error of a ticket agent and our dream vacation which happened to be our Anniversary of 50 years. It’s hard to put a dollar amount for the frustration and ruination of a cruise. It’s hard to describe the hardship and having to cancel outside excursions we had planned to participate on our “Cruise” because of health concerns and lack of medication and clothing. I hope that Delta can understand what we had to do and you are able to compensate us for all we had to go through in a fair and just manner.Overall

Problems at airport
We arrived at RIC airport at 1410 hrs on June 12th 2026. Checked in with Delta and proceed to the gate. The Original delays started around 1600 hrs another every 20 minutes. again at 1938 hrs, and continued until it was completely canceled at 2031 hours. During this time I attempted to contact with Norse Airlines to rebook our flights. I was instructed by the only customer service (chat) to cancel and rebook the flight. I was told I would be reimbursed. When we arrived home I got on the computer and the account said that we would not be reimbursed. I rebooked the flight for the next day but found that we could only get to JFK on a train from Washington D.C. to Penn Station. My Brother in Law drove our car from Richmond Va to Union Station and then back home. We took the train from DC to Penn Station then we boarded the Long Island Rail Road to JFK airport for the flight. We arrived and checked in without problems.- Richmond-Rome

Urgent: Baggage Delay & Disruption Compensation Request – TOSSK 79912 (Booking Ref: HWJ2X8)
To Delta Air Lines Customer Care, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the severe delay of my checked baggage on my recent itinerary to Tromsø, Norway, and to request immediate compensation for my expenses and the major disruption to my trip. Below are the comprehensive details of my journey and missing luggage: • Booking Reference (PNR): HWJ2X8 • Baggage File Reference Number: TOSSK 79912 (Submitted at Tromsø Airport) • Flight 1: DL 218 (New York JFK to Copenhagen CPH) – Delayed • Flight 2 (Connection): DL 7659 / SK 4452 (Copenhagen CPH to Tromsø TOS) • Bag 1 Tag Number: 6006737896 • Bag 2 Tag Number: 6006737895 My ticket included a 1-baggage allowance, and I paid an additional $100 USD at check-in for the second piece of luggage. Because DL 218 was delayed, my connection time in Copenhagen was severely cut short. This operational delay on Delta's end directly caused the ground team to miss transferring both of my checked bags to my connecting flight to Tromsø. I am currently in Norway—where weather conditions require proper clothing—completely stripped of my basic requirements, including warm clothes and basic toiletries. Being left in a foreign country without a single item of my own belongings has put me in an incredibly stressful and vulnerable situation. Since Delta holds full operational responsibility for the delayed connection that separated me from my luggage, I am requesting: 1. An immediate tracking status and expedited delivery window for both bags to my current address in Norway. 2. A full refund of the $100 USD fee paid for the second bag, as Delta failed to deliver the service I paid extra for. 3. A payment for the interim purchase of essential clothing and toiletries under the regulations of the Montreal Convention. I expect a swift response with an update on my bags' location. Other - I checked into Assistance Desk at LAX about 1:30P on Wed, June 24 expressly to assure TSA precheck. I presented my Global Entry Card, which was accepted. TSA precheck was not printed on my boarding pass. Although this created no monetary loss, the extra wait and difficulty almost caused me to miss my flight. I almost lost my phone, in the confusion, as well, which is major. No, I did not look at my Boarding Pass, at the time, trying to do this quickly for the sake of those behind me in line. This was a gross oversight on the part of check in. I articulated the reason for not using the Kiosks, to the desk. Reservation was HUWAB2 flight DL622 to Austin, Texas.

The flight was communicated to be delayed; however, the duration was over 50 minutes. The debarking was communicated, and delay was stated to be 20 minutes. due to the delay, I missed a critical meeting with our equipment manufacture, and the meeting had to be scheduled, this resulted in retaining Engineering associates for another 24 hours at an expense of $685.00 I would also require $ 250.00 for personal inconvenience, for this business impact.Overall

Technical problems
Delayed flight then shuttled to airplane on tarmac. Once on their was an odor on the plane people mentioned then air conditioning stopped working. We continued to sit then the maintenance team came on did some looking and captain said he would give us an update soon. It was hot everyone was getting restless and the smell was there. The captain came out into the cabin and told us it was 88 degrees at the moment in the cabin and at 90 he would have to consider a deplane. He mentioned to the passengers to not feel peer pressure and speak up with sick or wanted off. We proceeded to wait 35 minutes then he made announcement that the issue would take no less than 1 hour to test. He said he wasn’t sure if we would Fly on that plane. We waited longer there were multiple medical emergencies flight attendants using first aid kits and kids crying. They finally said we would have to deplane but said the shuttles to pick us up would be delayed to stay tight. We waited then loaded on and some had to wait in hot sun as shuttles got full. Then went back through passport process to get into the airport and the bags took over 1 hour to come back on belt. Inhumane and ridiculous try by delta to money save and not cancel that flight. The plane we were on was the one they used the day before and was cancelled.- Rome-Boston

I have no protocol of the chat with the KLM agent (via website). I asked for being booked on the later flight and that we had scheduled our flight from 17:00 in the evening to 10:00 in the morning. By that time, we were booked on that flight, but could rebook later to at least 12:15, which was still more than four hours difference. There was no way for getting any useful info out of the chat. Very disappointing. Getting booked later, okish, if it's still happening same day. Getting booked half a day earlier with having already plans on that day is not ok. We arrived nearly 5 hours earlier than planned and had to leave also 5 hours earlier and needed to cancel planned activities for that day. Airline told that there are no later flights. By that time we had to estimate to leave by 7:00 in the morning in Zandvoort to get to AMS in time (not knowing, that we can later at least leave at 9:00 due to an available 12;15 flight). We didn't loose money, but had to change our plan of the leaving day. Very inconvenient and no way of support staff being at least a bit helpful or offering some compensation at all. Bottom line: you stole more than half a day due to us being forced to leave way earlier.- Amsterdam-Schonefeld

The worst Customer Service ever!
After our first class flight from London to Jacksonville, we were told in Atlanta at our connecting flight that our tags were not properly tagged for our final flight. The representative in atlanta said he tagged them properly and escalated it. When we arrived in Jacksonville, the bags were not here and the Delta office informed us that because it was our fault that they weren’t tagged properly they would not deliver them to us when they did arrive. She reiterated many times it was our fault, although we confirmed our final destination when we checked in in London and again in Atlanta that our tags were properly tagged for Jacksonville. Delta Customer Service could not help us and we had to return to the airport this morning to pick up our bags. We would like to be compensated for our time which took hours in our travel expenses and inconveniences.Overall

Inappropriate Delay of Flight
Good morning, I am contacting you because of some issues with my flight from Detroit to Salt Lake City with a continuation to Reno Nevada on 1 June 2026. Flight DL2117 was scheduled to depart Detroit at approximately 8:24pm with arrival time in Salt Lake city around 10:30pm. The connecting flight to Reno was scheduled to leave at 11:09 pm. At approximately 8 pm in Detroit, am announcement was made that there was a delay in departure due to the crew being delayed even though they were at the gate. Eventually another flight attendant arrived not in uniform and we began to board almost 40 minutes late. The problem was that I was traveling with my son to Reno and we only had 44 minutes between touchdown and takeoff of the connecting flight. But the gate was just across from the gate we landed at so it shouldn't have been a problem. I spoke to a flight attendant on the plane and she agreed me that we would make our connection. That didn't happen. Come to find out the reason for the delay in Detroit was due to a flight crew member who wasn't even working our flight had to get to Salt Lake City because of a death in their family. To compound the issue was we made it to the gate with 3 minutes to spare but the flight changed its departure time to take off 5 minutes earlier than scheduled. My son raced out the door as soon as it opened but when he got to the gate the door was closed. The plane was still there and the jet bridge had not backed off but no one was at the counter to let us on. Even worse was that there were 8 other passengers who were scheduled to fly that flight to Reno but our plans were not taken into consideration. We had to rebook our flight to the following afternoon and find a hotel to spend the night. The customs service agents got us rebooked for the next day but when we asked for a hotel voucher, they only had a list of 3 hotels which were total dumps. I am a frequent traveler and a Marriott platinum elite member so I used my status to book a room which I felt safe staying in. I tried to use the transportation voucher but it would not work so I had to take an Uber to and from the Hotel that I booked. Using my status and points or the room I was charged $55.23, the cost of the Ubers round trip was $53.92. I have receipts for these expenses. My son happened to overhear the flights attendants talking in Salt Lake City about how glad they were able to accommodate one of their own delaying the flight so he could make it to see his family, but there was no consideration for the passengers who missed their connecting flight by less than 5 minutes. I could understand if it would have only been myself and my son, but there were at least 6 other passengers who missed their connection due to a personal delay orchestrated by Delta for one of its employees. All it would have taken for Delta would have been to delay the connecting flight to its original departing time and there would not have been any issues. YOUR AIRLINE inconvenienced 8 other individuals which could have been easily avoided and I feel that my son Joseph and I are deserved some type of compensation for issues that your company caused with the inconsiderate delay. I feel that in consideration to the trouble you caused with the inappropriate delays and early departure of the connecting flight, the following restitution should be provided: 1. A $500 travel voucher for both my son Joseph and myself, good for 1 year to be used on your airline 2. Reimbursement of my out of pocket expenses of $109. 15 for the cost of the hotel and transportation for having to find a suitable hotel home. I have receipts of the Uber and hotel receipts to support my claim and can provide them if needed 3. Train your staff to make the right call on delays, the outbound flight to Reno on 1 June could have been delayed for 10 minutes slowing other passengers to make their connection. You were able to delay the flight out of Detroit for almost 40 minutes for a crew member not even working that flight but couldn't wait 10 minutes for 7 passengers who were headed to Reno. I am looking forward to your response. Michael J Pollak Delta number #2603826542 Mjpollak300@yahoo.com 586 405 4822Overall

Terrible customer service and poor communication
Request for review and reinstatement of canceled international reservation Dear delta customer care, I am requesting an immediate review of my international reservation and the handing of my trave interruption involving a delta issued ticket operated by KLM. The ticket value is 6,800 dollars. On the day of travel, I arrived at the airport intending to board my fight. During checking a delta agent informed me that my Kenyan passport had expired and that I could not trave with that document. The delta agent instructed me to obtain an emergency trave document and return to rebook my travel. The agent also provided me a new booking reference number which ed me to believe that my reservation would be preserved or that I would rebook once I obtained the required trave document. After obtaining the emergency trave document I contacted Deta to rebook my travel. At that point, I was informed that the ticket was operated by KLM and that Deta could not assist. When I contacted KLM, I was told that the reservation had been marked as a no show and that no refund, credit or rebooking was available. I respectful request that Deta review a reservation notes, airport agent remarks and records associated with my booking including the issuance of the new booking for my scheduled trave and followed the instructions given to me by a delta representative. Had I been informed that my ticket would be forfeited or treated as a no show I would have taken immediate steps to protect the reservation. I am requesting a good faith review of this matter and consideration of one of the following remedies 1.Restoration of the ticket value 2.Trave credit for the unused portion of the ticket 3.Reinstatement or reissuance of the reservation Pease provide a written response after reviewing the reservation history and airport agent notes. I am prepared to provide confirmation number, ticket number, emergency trave document information and any additional documentation needed for your review. Thank you for your time and consideration. Terrible all around, never want to fly Delta
I was penalized for purchasing a cheaper flight, being limited by budget. The planes are designed to not have enough bin space and they are purposefully overbooked. I was forced to check my carryon. Then first leg of my flight was delayed because of “an anomaly with the plane” according to the captain. We waited an additional hour+. I had to get bumped to a different connecting flight to Bismark. Upon arriving, I was told my luggage was left by Delta in Minneapolis. I was not supposed to be upset and was chastised by their associates for showing the slightest emotion/frustration over this massive inconvenience. I was told that when my bag arrived on the evening flight, it would be delivered directly to my hotel, which is 2 hours west of Bismark. According to tracking, my luggage is still in the airport three hours since its arrival. I’ve had zero updates from Delta. I have tried joining their SkyMiles program for the past two days, but after completing all the forms, there’s an “internal error” on their end and I’ve been unable to sign up. This prevented me from recouping further airline miles rebates that you can only submit for as a SkyMiles member. I am neurodivergent and traveling on my own. I brought special gear related to the activities I wish to accomplish during my brief stay. Delta has been utterly subpar and impacted my vacation, which I saved for and worked hard to earn, in a dramatically negative way. They finally offered a small voucher after waiting for over two hours to get contact with them and after having to really press for it. It’s clear that they do not care for their customers or their overall experience whatsoever. I’ve flown on every major airline and Delta has been my worst experience. I want my bag delivered tonight. Expedited as promised. I want them to assure me they will not force me to check my carryon on my return flight, and will upgrade my boarding group to avoid inconvenience. I want them to increase the voucher they offered. Because worst of all, there were several other people on my flight having major issues as well.Overall
Being forced to check my carryon due to lack of bin space. Carryon being irresponsibly left in Minneapolis and not making my final destination. Delta providing no bag delivery or update as promised when my luggage did reach Bismark. I have zero informatio
Actually, none. No interest in flying Delta ever again beyond using the voucher they provide. I will never check a bag with them again. Not even at their request. Completely irresponsible airline.

I have none of the clothing or special gear I need for my hiking vacation, and no idea when they plan on getting my bag to me. Flying with Delta has been horrible start to finish. I tried joining SkyMiles prior to my trip and several times today during complications with my booked flight and baggage, and all I’ve received is an error message. It’s actually pathetic. They offered me a minimal voucher after I fought for that and wasted over an hour of my vacation trying to contact them to get help. Now I’m eating another hour because I’ve received no update on baggage delivery which is abysmal. What Delta has offered is insufficient. I want my bag delivered right now away, as was guaranteed. I want an increased voucher. I refuse to check my carryon on the return flight. And I want an upgraded boarding for my return flight. It is the least they could do for taking away an entire half day of my vacation and causing massive stress to a neurodivergent customer.

Wrongfully chage addition baggage allowance
Deceitful agent made wrongful baggage allowance and pressure to charge 1 additional bag of 200 dollars, while we have 3 tickets and 1 infant ticket, which allow 3 bags up to 50lbs and 1 bag of 22lbsOverall

Mixed experience after delayed flight and rebooking.
We were delayed leaving ATL because of a mechanical issue. Our plane arrived in LAX about 15 minutes before the doors were closed on our next flight to OGG. Our bags mad it onto the OGG flight but by the time we were off the plane, the doors had closed for the OGG flight (at the adjoining gate). There were several PAX with the same issue. If the OGG flight had delayed for 5 minutes we would have made the flight. The staff on the ATL to LAX were hero’s keeping us informed and hydrated. Sadly there were only a few paid meals loaded on the plane in ATL and by the time they got to us, none were left. I am very grateful for the comped hotel room but found that the food vouchers were worthless. None of the food spots we tried in the airport were willing to accept them. We ended up paying about $40 for breakfast at Starbucks. In the end, safety is always the top priority and I appreciate that our pilot decided to have a possible mechanical issue checked. I look forward to being reunited with our luggage in OGG. thanksOverall
Lack of available food on the delayed flight.
