My original flight from CLT-JFK DL5049 was delayed over 4hrs. All connecting flights to Bremen were full. I was diverted through ATL-AMS-HAM. Bag did not get onto new flights. When bag arrived in Hamburg on May 6 it was given to a courier. Courier notified me they would not deliver to Bremen. I had to pay courier fee 129 euro to deliver bag.

We lost most of our first day in Venice on 8 February, 2026 because of delays caused by Delta and CDG. Why? Because Delta took over 30 minutes to deplane on the CDG tarmac instead of at a gate – then there was the long, tediously slow bus ride to the gate, then customs. Given those factors, Delta did not provide sufficient time for our connecting flight from CDG to Venice. We rushed – and I am not a slow person, on the contrary I move with alacrity and so does my wife – and reached our Venice-bound plane gate, but they would not allow us to board – viz., they denied boarding because they said the gate had just closed. We argued, but to no avail. They had to adhere to a regulation, but Delta did not apply common sense when scheduling our connecting flight, obviously knowing well beforehand that there would be delays deplaning and that alternative flights from CDG to Venice were booked. We were told at CDG by Air France customer service that the next available flight was that night at around 9:30 pm, arriving in Venice at something like 11:30 pm. We feared there would be no concierge to let us in at our hotel in Venice. We chose to fly to Bologna and train from there to Venice because that was a six-hour wait, while the only available flight to Venice would depart about 6 hours after that, which meant a 12-hour wait. The train ride was approximately 1.5 hours. It departed from Bologna Central at 18:21 and arrived in Santa Lucia train station in Venice at 19:55. It cost 71.80 euros. Of course we had to taxi from the Bologna airport to the train station, which cost another 24 euros plus a small tip. We would have been stuck at Charles De Gaulle airport for another six hours if we hadn’t taken this option. In addition, there was a Delta-caused luggage fiasco in Detroit. My bag and my wife’s bag were pink tagged, as were many of the bags on the plane because of the small overhead bins. We still have our pink tags. Everyone was told that he or she could retrieve their baggage upon landing in Detroit. I believe I was the only one whose bag didn’t turn up on the tarmac when we landed. My medications were in the bag so it was imperative to have it in my possession -- we informed the man who pink-tagged my bag of this prior to takeoff in Cleveland. We learned that the baggage people, despite the pink tag, loaded my bag with luggage bound for Paris. We had to run around and wait about an hour to collect the bag from one of the baggage-claim carousels. Fortunately, we had over an hour and half layover in Detroit. But the pressure was intense. Really intense! Delta offered me 5000 mileage points as compensation, which is equivalent to about $50, not even enough to cover our train fare.

Successful claim

I had it retagged in Atlanta and it landed in Amsterdam but never arrived in Croatia. I have spent 136.09 euro so far but have to split up the payment amongst the days as I cannot spend much with meals and transportation to be able to buy all new clothes. I had one change of undergarments in a bookbag but will be out of clothes tomorrow. My other bag was checked and delivered but my bag worth 47lb of clothes and shoes never arrived for a month of travel. The luggage as well costs money as it is a soft sided Delsey Blue large rolling case. The suitcase costs 245 euro.

Delta can't manage its flights

Made it to the gate after running across 3 terminals at Atlanta BEFORE boarding ended. They scanned our boarding passes for the flight they rescheduled us onto due to prior flight delay, and somehow didn't have is in the system, despite sending us the boarding pass!?! We watched them give our seats away to standby. Agents were not helpful and Delta showed it's incompetence today.

Overall

Technical problems

I arrived at my final destination approximately 7–8 hours later than scheduled due to a delay that caused me to miss my connection in Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. I was not rebooked prior to arriving at the gate, and when I got there, I was informed that the flight had already closed and was directed to return to the KLM assistance desk to arrange an alternative flight. This process contributed to the overall delay. During this time, no significant care or amenities were provided beyond standard airport access, and I personally purchased a bottle of water. Due to the disruption, I experienced considerable inconvenience and had to adjust my plans accordingly. I also incurred additional out-of-pocket expenses, including rescheduling flights within Italy, arranging transportation upon arrival since my original ride was no longer available, and booking a hotel to rest and shower. These costs were a direct result of the delay and would not have been necessary if my travel had gone as scheduled, and I kindly request reimbursement.

No reason given

Booking IRXDIZ (Aeromexico): Oaxaca → Mexico City (AM1045, 28 Apr) → Madrid (AM0027, 28–29 Apr). Flight AM1045 was delayed for reasons attributable to the airline, causing me to miss my onward connection AM0027 in Mexico City. I was rebooked onto the following day's transatlantic flight AM1 (MEX → MAD on 29 April), resulting in an unplanned wait of approximately 10 hours at Mexico City Airport. Flight AM1 then also departed and arrived significantly behind schedule. The delay is publicly documented on FlightAware: https://it.flightaware.com/live/flight/AMX1/history/20260429/0000Z/MMMX/LEMD As a direct consequence of these two cascading delays, I lost three onward MAD → Milan tickets: Ryanair FR2753 (booking ZV9IFP) — original onward flight, missed due to late arrival in Madrid: €67.64 Ryanair FR5121 (booking S4M6RQ) — first replacement, purchased on 28 April after being notified of the AM1045 delay, also missed due to the further delay of AM1: €231.48 Air Europa UX1061 (booking 8QQCKO) — second replacement, the only flight I was able to board: €298.57 Total additional expenses directly caused by the disruption: €597.69. I have already filed a written complaint with Aeromexico requesting compensation under the Mexican Civil Aviation Law and reimbursement of the above expenses.

No, Customer Service available

Wanted to let you know that I tried to book 2 first class tickets yesterday for myself and my wife. My wife is on my account with her Delta airlines customer number. The app would not allow me to continue past adding her as a passenger. Your AI assistant does not understand how to address this issue. And it’s impossible to get help from a CSR. I ended up booking these first class tickets with American Airlines. I wanted you to know because of the frustration and the inability to get help your system is costing you business. As an owner of a factory in manufacturing all the way up through retail sales and directly working with customers if my business was struggling and frustrating my customers I would want to know. This is a courtesy message to let you know that I know I am not the only one struggling with this problem. I hope you can focus on getting it corrected because I have been flying Delta since 1972. I appreciate the people that work for Delta and those who care about the safety of their passengers. Good luck and have a great day. Wesley Scott. 2020511230

Problems at airport

We were to fly on Dec26th at 11 in the morning, arriving in NYC at 1.20 NY time. We were rerouted via Boston and told by ground staff in Dublin if we took the Boston route we would be reimbursed for any ground transportation costs etc, i contacted Delta and they closed the case ,i asked them to reopen it as i needed to be reimbursed for train travel via Amtrak which took approximately 4hrs 40 minutes to reach our final destination. Rhey have a duty of care under EU261/2004 but continue to fight me on it. Our flights to JFK were 696 per person ,i took the flights to Boston because overall my holiday was 2717.00 euro ,it was already hampered without losing it all. Terrible customer service ticketing

I write to formally lodge a complaint regarding a series of significant failures by Delta Air Lines that resulted in direct financial loss, wasted time, and considerable distress during my recent travel to the United States. My booking reference is JNXVW7. I booked a Delta flight well in advance, received a confirmation, and considered the matter settled. Approximately 24 hours before departure, while already in transit, I attempted to check in online and was directed to contact Delta support to "validate" my booking — a requirement I had never been informed of at the time of booking. When I contacted support, I was told for the first time that my original payment had not been processed, and that I needed to rebook at the current rate — more than double my original booking price. I complied, paid by credit card, received a second confirmation, and continued my journey to New York after more than 20 hours of travel. Upon arriving in New York and attempting to check in, I was again told the payment had not gone through. What followed was wholly unacceptable: - Delta staff attempted to process payment across four of my credit cards, all without success. - I was then informed I required an American-issued credit card — something I, as an international traveller, do not carry, and something I was never warned about at any point prior. - I was directed by Delta staff to withdraw cash and load it onto an American prepaid card. I did so, incurring transaction and withdrawal fees in excess of $50 in the process. Despite completing this, those funds still could not be processed. - I spent over an hour and a half at the airport counter as a result of Delta's payment failures, missing my confirmed 4:30pm flight in the process. - While at the counter, I simultaneously engaged Delta's online chat, where I was eventually advised that Delta could in fact honour my original booking rate — directly contradicting what I had been told earlier, and what had caused me to unnecessarily rebook at double the price. - After nearly an hour on the online chat, I was rebooked onto the 7:00pm flight. The financial impact does not end there. My payment was attempted and authorised across multiple cards on multiple occasions. My statements reflect charges appearing five times across various accounts. While I have been told these are authorisations that will clear in a few business days, the practical consequence is that I have been left without access to my own funds for the duration of my stay in the United States. I have been forced to fund my entire trip in cash, and will be left holding US dollars — a foreign currency — upon my return home. This is a direct and ongoing financial consequence of Delta's repeated processing failures. To summarise the losses I have suffered: 1. Transaction and cash withdrawal fees in excess of $50, incurred solely as a result of Delta staff directing me to use a prepaid card. 2. My confirmed 4:30pm flight, missed entirely due to Delta's inability to process payment at the airport. 3. Funds locked in authorisation across multiple accounts throughout my US stay. 4. Over two and a half hours of my time spent resolving what should have been a straightforward check-in, at the end of a long day of travel. 5. Significant stress and disruption to my travel plans as an international visitor. I am formally requesting the following: 1. Full reimbursement of the $50+ in transaction and withdrawal fees I incurred on Delta's instruction. 2. Meaningful compensation for the missed 4:30pm flight and the broader service failures I experienced. 3. A formal explanation as to why Delta's payment systems failed repeatedly across multiple international cards, why I was not informed of any American card requirement at the time of booking, and why a Delta agent incorrectly instructed me to rebook at double the original price when that was unnecessary. I expect a substantive response within 7 days of receipt of this letter. Should Delta fail to address this matter adequately, I will escalate to the US Department of Transportation's Aviation Consumer Protection Division and pursue reimbursement of the transaction fees through my card issuers via chargeback. Please direct your response to davidb@inospace.com or +27833112130. Yours faithfully, David Bernstein

This person named David took me on a tour of the Eiffel Tower for a photo shoot and then I missed my flight because of him and could not come back to the USA. The flight attendant did not allow me to board the flight to Milan Italy and when I went to the counter for customer service, they told me I have to pay another extra money to book a whole new flight which costs like $2000 if not more. Then I said I want to return back to the USA and they did not allow me to and told me to speak to the police in France. I tried to speak with the police in France and no one wanted to speak to me and said they were supposedly busy with who knows what. So I got stranded in Paris France all alone in a foreign country by myself and I don’t even speak French or Italian. Then, I got a van to take me to Milan Italy for vacation and I met these two guys who were from the Middle East and then I stayed at two different air b n bs, one in Milan Italy, and the second one in Switzerland. I also stayed at a hotel in Milan Italy due to not being able to check in to the air b n b in Milan Italy right away. Then the cops came to the air b n b in Paris France and in Switzerland due to sex trafficking. I tried to call the sex trafficking line and I tried to go to 3 different emergency rooms and no one wanted to help me. They said they aren’t available. I tried to buy medications at the pharmacy but nothing is helping me as I feel sick and I’m coughing a lot and my body itches and I have hives, red poisonous frog bites, poisonous snake bites on both my feet, red and brown spots all over my body, acne, pimples, shortness of breath, irregular cardiac rhythm, fatigue, dizziness, insomnia, complex post traumatic stress disorder, and symptoms of depression. It’s getting really bad and I need someone to actually help me.

I am writing to explain what happened with my booking with DELTA/AirFrance (G69O8E / YRJNPB), as I am still waiting for a refund and urgently need an update. Last year, my employer booked a round-trip flight for me from Milan Linate to Los Angeles for work. Due to personal reasons, I later changed my return flight online, (only return flight date!) moving it to December 7, 2025, with arrival in Naples. I paid €215.81 for this change on November 16, 2025, and everything appeared to be successfully confirmed. However, a few days before departure, I was no longer able to access my booking with the booking code provided. I contacted customer service multiple times, but no one was able to resolve the issue. When I arrived at Milan Linate Airport, I was told that due to a technical issue, my payment for the flight change had not been properly registered, and my return flight was essentially missing from the system. I was also told that some flight segments were not present, which was never clearly explained to me. At that point, I had no choice and I was forced to pay an additional €330 at the airport in order to be able to travel, otherwise I would have missed my flight, although the flight was paid by my employer + I received proof of payment for my return flight change. I was reassured that I could request a refund later, as I had proof of all payments. On top of this, my baggage was delayed during my return journey and was only delivered after one week, causing further inconvenience. I have already submitted all the required documentation, including proof of both payments. However, I have not received any reimbursement or update. When I try to track my claim using reference C-10582324, the system now says that the claim cannot be found. This situation is extremely frustrating!!!!! I am simply requesting the refund of €330 that I was forced to pay due to a system error on your side. I would appreciate an urgent update and resolution. Thanks.

Honeymoon Return Flight Cancellation

Formal Complaint – Booking Reference HAY 5737233 / Flight Booking Reference DC4Y51 / Airline Locator VS:C9SUOX - Serious concerns regarding Delta Airlines Unfortunately, our return journey on Delta Airlines from Liberia airport was extremely poor and fell far short of what we would expect—particularly on a package holiday intended to provide support if something went wrong. Our return flight (scheduled 11:15am) was repeatedly delayed before being cancelled altogether later in the afternoon. We were told we could not leave the airside area until immigration staff became available to escort us, but we were given no reassurance and no information about how we would be assisted. Although we eventually managed to rebook flights via Delta’s online chat service, we were pressured to downgrade from Premium Economy to Economy. As my husband is very tall and requires the extra legroom, this was not an option. We therefore had to agree to a more complex three flight journey home. When we asked the Delta agent what would happen to us overnight, we were told to speak to the help desk, but there was no helpdesk airside. We later learned—via an airport announcement—that Delta would not be arranging accommodation due to it being high season and local hotels being “full”. We were shocked to be told that we would receive no support whatsoever, particularly as this was a flight cancellation caused by the airline, and we had booked a package holiday expecting appropriate assistance. We felt abandoned and genuinely frightened. We were still trapped airside, unable to make arrangements ourselves, and had no clear guidance from Delta, Globus, or Hays Travel. Only after contacting family back home were we advised to try to locate a hotel independently. We eventually secured a room 11 miles away at considerable cost, but only after exhausting every reasonable option nearer to the airport. As soon as we were told that Delta would not be providing accommodation, we began searching online for hotels “near me”, hoping to find something affordable and close by. Every hotel in the surrounding area was fully booked — something we had feared, particularly with two Delta flights cancelled that day. We tried multiple search platforms and refreshed several listings, desperately attempting to find somewhere closer and cheaper, but there was simply nothing available within a practical distance. With no support from the airline and nowhere to stay airside, we had no choice but to book the expensive Hilton hotel 11 miles away. We then had to go outside in 34°C heat, dressed for returning home to the UK, and find a taxi just to reach it. This was stressful, unsafe, and wholly inappropriate for passengers who had already been through a long day of disruption. The taxi driver insisted we pay cash upfront for both journeys, and as we were at the end of our trip with limited cash remaining, this added further anxiety. Although we managed to return to the airport the next morning and complete our onward travel, the final issue became apparent in Manchester: our baggage was still in Atlanta. Thankfully, we had placed Airtags inside our suitcases, so we were able to identify the location immediately. Airport staff assisted, and our bags were returned the following day — but this added yet another layer to an already exhausting experience. Impact Instead of returning from our honeymoon rested and refreshed, we came home exhausted, anxious, and distressed. I even had to take an additional day off work due to the cancellation, using the last of my annual leave. Given the circumstances, we are requesting assistance in recovering the reasonable costs we incurred due to Delta’s failure to provide accommodation and duty of care following the cancellation. These include: • Hotel accommodation • Taxi to and from the airport • Related incidental expenses We would appreciate confirmation of the appropriate process for reimbursement, along with details of any documentation you require.

I arrived at LHR approx. 9:00 then waited for a long time at baggage claim until realised not bag was coming. Went to lost luggage desk, they already had my name on a missing bag list, I filled out a form and was given File Ref. number and told bags would be delivered in a few days time. I have phoned Delta a number of times but they have made no effort to contact me and I have been given no information at all from them.

My flight was already scheduled to leave Accra to Atlanta. Yet, We were informed in Accra on the day of departure that the flight will be re-routed through JFK. They assured us that it will not impact the flight time. Unfortunately at JFK we stayed on board for 2hrs on the tarmac with no communication. When we finally got to Atlanta after 10pm, the last flight to GSO (my final destination) was gone. We took hold of our bags and due to the airport operations being shut we had to keep the bags till 4:30am in the morning the next day when we had to queue again to recheck the bags in. They offered a hotel but due to the way everything had gone that night I decided to stay at the airport before I miss the morning flight. This was because I had a meeting scheduled in the early morning at 7:30am in the office and I knew I would miss it due to having to stay overnight in the airport, I am self employed in the health sector and not reaching home on 12/29 messed up my business and family commitments and it put financial strain on my operations.

My flight was delayed because of mechanical problems. I arrived in Paris too late to board my original connecting flight, so the airline automatically rebooked me on a flight that increased my layover and final destination arrival by just over 10 hours. NIGHTMARE FIGHTING FOR REFUNDS

7 HOURS waiting at STT Airport (42 text msgs. later from Delta) then cancelled and they did not book us next day on a flight home we had to book with another airline, no reimbursement for overnight food rental car or anything and they had a flight going to Chicago with 13 empty seats she printed a ticket for a lady in front of me but refused to accommodate me with 11 more empty seats I was forced to find a place to sleep/taxi/food only to find out they never booked me on a return flight had to book with AA to get home costed me an additional $138. They only reimbursed me $36 and closed my claim and said they gave $60 for rental car they never did. A man at Delta counter printed off a form and said I was right and apologized doesn't know why delta did this. I had to open another claim still pending but when you call customer care they are very rude to you. They owe me $270.00.

Fraudulent Company linked to Delta

Yesterday February 24th, I bought a flight ticket through a Company called Viajando por el mundo, I was in a hurry to get back home from Anchorage to Austin, Tx, so I didn't take the time to read any reviews about this Company, so I went ahead and got a ticket online with them because it was a little bit cheaper than any other travel companies. After all the information process, they said that I would be paying 484, but after finalizing my purchase a bank message said that the purchase was for 504, but that wasn't all, after a few minutes a person called me, he was an agent from this company. This person told me that the amount of money that I paid for the flight ticket wasn't available anymore, and that in order for me to fly I had to pay an extra of 164, I didn't understand what he was talking about it because they already had taken even more money of the initial amount which it was 484. I was mad and I hang up the phone; this person called me after that about 5 times more, but I didn't answer. Since I was already at the airport, because earlier I took a flight from Kodiak Island to Anchorage, so I went ahead to speak with a Delta costumer service, the lady there was kind of rude with me and told me that Delta wasn't responsible for any purchases outside Delta website. Yes and not, because that is true that nobody forced me to buy the ticket with this Company, but isn't this Company after all selling Delta's flight tickets which at the end I think after all it does represents Delta. I was a little bit disappointed by this lady's answer. I don't have any idea how these Companies get to sell Delta flight tickets, but something doesn't look right, and I think it should be some type of agreement on which Company is allowed to resell their fly tickets, and Delta should be more careful about this fraudulent Companies such as Viajando por el mundo. After all their phone call harassment, I went ahead and read some of their reviews and I was surprised that I wasn't the only one with the same issue. For that, I am disappointed at Delta. I which things could be different, and Delta be able to take some of the responsibility and not hiding behind these fraudulent Companies.

Customer service unaware and an all day affair

MY husband and I are permanent residents of Mexico. we recently paid almost 2K for tickets to fly to the US for a funeral. YOUR legal disclaimer and the Mexican government allows for reimbursement of the tourist tax charged to re renter our country. I have spend 4 hours on customer service chats only to FINALLY get someone who is familiar with this. She was kind enough to send the link to request refund. I entered all of the necessary information and it says flight not found. I am extremely frustrated because this should be a simple process. I need someone to contact me an walk me through the steps to receive my refund. thank you. Sheila Speckin

Technical problems

My flight from Schiphol (NL) to Las Vegas (USA) of 5 January 2026 has been cancelled due to a break down of the airplane on the runway. The pilot mentioned that the left panel in the cockpit was malfunctioning and he never had this happen before. Due to this mechanical flaw the flight was cancelled when we returned to the airport. Due to bad weather conditions no other flights were available and after waiting 19 hours it became evident that there was no reason for me to continue the flight. Note that the cancellation reason was mechanical and there were not other flights available! My luggage is still returned by the KLM after a week after I created a report by going back to the airport on Wednesday 7-1-2026. The online services including report creation and online helpdesk were not available and I was only assisted to create a report on 13-01-2026. Now KLM uses their own delay to not deny my claim. I have additional costs which I initially send to KLM but claim this now through the travel insurance. In regard of AirAdvisor, I am looking for the fixed compensation under EU 261/2004

Dear Customer Service, I am writing regarding our recent travel experience and the refund issued for our unused flight segments. We bought 2 tickets on My ID Travel site for me Jean Azzi and my wife Houda Elias from Toronto to Atlanta on 13 FEB and listed to board on 14 Feb on DL2662 to celebrate Valentine’s day in Atlanta . PNR G6NZ3Q tickets no : 006-2404165474 006-2404165475 We could not make it , the flight was full . At Toronto airport the Delta staff proposed to us to go via Detroit and told us we have more chance to go to Atlanta from Detroit due to many operating Delta Airlines flights , and they changed our tickets against 006-2404244569/ 006-2404244570 YYZ/DTW/ATL We arrived in Detroit trying to board on the 1rst flight availability , spending the whole day at Detroit airport, but were unable to board on any flight , many seats were available but the priority given to Delta staff. As a result, we decided to return to Toronto, but Delta staff did not allow us to change our flight coupon from Detroit–Atlanta to Detroit–Toronto, even though Detroit–Atlanta is the longer sector. We purchased new tickets from Detroit to Toronto at our own expense. PNR H9DDMN tickets no : 006-2404187665/006-2404187666 Additionally we did not use the return segment from Atlanta to Toronto, so we requested a refund booking ref G6NZ3Q. However, the refund amount of USD 22.50 per ticket does not match the fare we paid and what about the unused Detroit–Atlanta sector, which is significantly higher. We kindly request reimbursement for the unused Detroit–Atlanta sector, as we did not use this segment and had to purchase new tickets to go back to Toronto. Please review our case and advise regarding a more accurate refund for the unused flight sectors. Thank you for your attention to this matter. canceled flight February 16 2026

Trip Confirmation #HHQZGQ Februrary 16 2026 After arriving in LAX 5-6 your flight has been delayed messages through about 6hrs we finally recieved final message flight was disrupted. Delta counters in LAX was no help. Told us to find Westjet. We had to line up at counter after 6hr delay and wait another 2hrs in line to talk to someone as everyone on our original flight were in the same situation. Found out flight was canceled LAX to YVR. It took over 6hrs to realized the flight was canceled? If we were told earlier flight was canceled we might have been able to arranged an earlier rescheduled flight the same day. But since it took so long there were no more flights the same day and we had to take another flight the next day. The first offers we're aburd as it is only a 3hr flight from LAX to YVR yet they wanted us to flight to EDM overnight layover and flight out the next night. We had to look ourselves for better options and found a direct flight instead. Why were we not offered the best options first and had to search it for ourselves. Unacceptable customer service throughout the whole process. And I'm not even sure who to contact. We booked under Delta but flight is operated by Westjet.

Technical problems

We boarded the plane at JFK at 7:25 PM as planned. However, we waited inside the plane for almost 3 hours and the plane didn't take off. We were supposed to be in Amsterdam at 9:00 AM. When we landed in Amsterdam, they told us that the AMS-IST flight scheduled for 11:45 AM had already departed and they had automatically changed it to the nearest flight with a layover in Belgrade. The Belgrade flight was scheduled to depart at 8:35 PM. Despite waiting that long, they only gave us a 15 EURO food voucher. The Belgrade flight landed at 10:55 PM, but we had to wait another 90 minutes for the Istanbul flight. We landed in Istanbul at 3:30 AM. However, I had already bought a ticket from Istanbul to Ankara, which I had to change, incurring further expenses. Also, because I changed the ticket, I had to wait for hours again in Istanbul for the new flight time (11:00 AM).
