Forgive me, I'm not here to complain. But please read this.

Greetings My name is Bob McNulty. I was on flight 2294 on 6/25/25. I was not feeling well and I asked for my seat to be assigned next to a restroom, The gate agent was very understanding and arranged for me to sit in the last row seat D. PERFECT. As I got to my seat the flight attendant Noticed that I may have been having an issue, she approached me and with the upmost respect asked if I was okay and how could she help. I explained my concerns and she could not have been nicer and so professional.I'll spare you the details. At the end for the flight I asked what her name was and thanked her. Her name is Leigh or Lea. You need to know she was the best representative of your customer service goals ever. you should consider her for a national training position. SHE WAS THAT PROFESSIONAL. I thank DELTA and the flight crew. Please pass this along. Thank you Bob McNulty

Problems at airport

We were given less than 6 HOURS notice that our flight was canceled and rebooked for 24 HOURS later, the next day! The new booking SEPARATED us AND did not honor our PREPAID UPGRADE to Delta Comfort. We were put back into the main cabin despite many attempts to get Delta staff to correct their error and make it right. We lost our seat upgrade charges, too! Delta staff at Heathrow were extremely rude, condescending, unwilling to help us on Sunday, the morning our flight was abruptly canceled and we were notified via a text message. My husband's seat back was kicked continuously throughout the almost 9 hour flight by the passenger directly behind him causing discomfort to his back and neck and dealing with that passenger reaching through the seat backs towards my husband so much so that he could see and feel the person's hands next time him obviously rendering his experience uncomfortable and invasive. I had water spilled on me from a waterbottle that someone put in the overhead compartment wetting the right side of my pants, arm, hand, and shoulder. AND, I was nearly hit in the head when another person's stainless steel waterbottle fell out of the overhead compartment and flew into my row only missing my head because I reacted fast enough and lunged forcefully backwards into my seat back. It flew directly in front of my face and landed on the tray of the passenger to my left. Our experience trying to return to the United States via Delta was awful! So much so that it has caused us to reconsider using Delta in the future.

unacceptable seat conditions from Barcelona to Atlanta

I was seated in an exit zone row Seat 33B There is a serious design/engineering flaw in this row The interior of plane around the emergency window was icy cold, like putting your hand on a block of ice. I was freezing for many hours despite four layers of clothing and two blankets. of course, I had turned off the air flow nozzles above. I complained to flight attendant. She had no solutions. I have been flying for over fifty years, to include military aircraft. I have NEVER been as uncomfortable or miserable as I was on this flight.

Amsterdam Schipol - named modified at check in

At Amsterdam Schiphol airport, the operator din not want to accept check in code (HSS9IW), as the passangers names appeared modified on boarding pass, but it was not our fault. It was written Pavel VioricaMD and StefanSIR - as in the pictures, but we never wrote that, probably was from "Sir"and "Madame", but it wasn't us writing. Therefore, we had to pay 60 euros extra to the operator to do the change in sistem. We also mention, that in the sistem, on our account, the names were corect, only on bording pass was wrong. As we consider it was not our fault, we ask for this amount (60 E) to be returned. Thank you for understanding.

Technical problems

The delayed flight caused us to miss our connecting flight to our final destination in Atlanta. We had to rebook our connecting flight with the other airline. Delta refused to reimburse us for having to rebook our connecting flight even though the cancelled flight was the reason why we missed our connecting flight. After our flight was cancelled, the electronic boarding passes on our phones were unaccessible. We were unable to obtain and use meal vouchers due to this issue. My luggage was lost for 4 days after the flight, and it had to be delivered to my house. My sister's luggage was lost for 1 day after the flight and was delivered to our home. Our luggage was damaged, and I tried to claim for damages but by the time our luggage arrived, the 48-hour window to file baggage damage claims had passed. I purchased shot glasses as souvenirs for my friends and 2 of the 4 shot glasses were also damaged in transport.

Flight cancellation due to COVID restrictions!!

My flight was cancelled due to COVID. I have been unable to travel due to having caught COVID 4 times. I was also in an accident and broke my leg and collar bone recently I tried to finally book a flight to visit my brother in Idaho but was told I have no credit with Delta. They would not refund my money for the original flight $1034 US dollars. Nor would they give me a credit for a replacement flight. Basically stole my hard earned money! I am looking for compensation on a flight or the refund of my money. I sent all the appropriate documents when asked during the first outbreak of COVID and no response. I have tried calling but never get any answers except sorry we can't help you. I am now reaching out to my attorney if I do not get compensation. Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated. Marla Zwiesele 586-344-6553

No reason given

When I landed at Arlanda Airport, everything seemed fine. However, within about 30 minutes, I discovered through the SAS app that my upcoming flights, DL205 and DL1685, had been canceled. I didn’t receive any emails or phone calls notifying me of the cancellations, so it was just by chance—and my curiosity to check the flight status—that I found out. If I hadn’t checked, I could have missed the opportunity to act quickly and explore alternative options. It was frustrating that the flight was canceled without any notification from the airline, and I had to personally check for other flight options and my delay to the final destination.

I was travelling by business class.and faced misbehavior.

The dealing officer said since the TV on both seats NO,2A and 2D are not working I am giving you No.9 A & D. I said no since I and my wife are senior cirizens we do not want and change. The she said we cannot take your carry on baggage since it is not allowed. We were standing and my wife was about to fall. We had booked wheel chairs but not proveded till half hour. Then she said that you will not get wheel chair since you have not booked. I told her that from MCI to Delhi we were given wheel chair and also booked for return journey. Then one of the porter standing near to us offered my wife a chair to sit. When we boarded the plane we found that the TV were working fine. It took more than 50 minutes for a senior citizen handicapped passenger tranvelling in business class to get the borading passes. Our confirmation No. is H2W4MB. Wheelchair assistance

I requested wheelchair assistance at Atlanta airport and understand that staffing can be limited at times.  However, despite repeatedly informing staff of my departure time,  I was consistently told to wait.  I asked if someone could alert the gate I was on the way, but was told that wasn't possible.   Eventually, I had no choice but to try to walk on my own.  I missed the monorail and barely reached the gate just before the door closed.  By then, my legs felt frozen, as often happens due to my condition.  I had two back surgeries last year and walking remains very difficult for me.   I value the assistance I receive and always tip those who help me.  This experience was stressful and could have ended differently.  I hope this feedback can help improve coordination for passengers who truly depend on mobility

Formal Complaint Regarding Flight DL2571 (Atlanta to Las Veg

1. Seat Assignment Issue Before boarding, I approached the counter to inquire about moving seats to sit next to my husband, who requires an aisle seat due to a medical condition. The BMA agent curtly told me the flight was full and no seats were available. His tone was dismissive, and he even sarcastically suggested I “switch with him.” Upon boarding and checking the Delta app, I found multiple open seats, and I was able to move to seat 21D myself. I found the misinformation and the attitude extremely unhelpful and unprofessional. 2. In-Flight Incident with Lead Crew Member While seated, I ordered a hot tea during beverage service. Shortly after, the lead flight attendant, Kendall, came down the aisle collecting trash. When I reached out to dispose of mine, he abruptly slapped my hand away. This caused me to spill the hot tea all over myself—soaking my white shirt, pants, and brand-new white shoes. I was in shock and physically shaken. Kendall said, “Do not touch my trash bag,” with no explanation or concern for what had just happened. The passengers next to me kindly offered napkins while Kendall returned with paper towels and instructed me to go to the front of the cabin to dry off. He later approached me again, saying, “Why are you crying, it was just a mistake,” and attempted to speak further despite me asking him not to. I told him to please leave me alone. My husband, a retired 2 police officer, asked him for his information and where to file a formal complaint. Kendall continued to imply the incident was my fault, which only deepened the emotional distress. To be clear, no one should ever be physically touched, much less slapped, by a flight attendant or any customer service personnel. This was not only inappropriate, it was traumatizing and unacceptable. Damaged Items As a result of this incident: • My white shirt and pants are stained. • My brand-new white shoes are ruined. • I was emotionally upset for the remainder of the flight and still feel shaken by the incident. I have flown Delta many times and have always had good experiences, which is why this situation is so disheartening. I expect your flight crew to demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and safety—not physical aggression. I am requesting: 1. A formal investigation into this incident. 2. Reimbursement for the damaged clothing, shoes and flight expenses. I will be seeking therapy for this traumatic event and will be requesting therapy expenses. 3. An official apology from Delta and from the crew member involved. 4. Assurance that steps will be taken to prevent this type of behavior from happening again

Influence by other flights

I, Anna Kuzminska, along with my fellow passenger, Martin Wallin, had purchased a ticket from New York to Copenhagen with a layover in KEF. While already on the plane to KEF, we received a message that the flight would be slightly delayed. It turned out that the aircraft had a malfunction, and we had to be transferred to another plane. The transfer took longer than the time we had for our layover (around 2 hours) and we have missed the layover plane. At KEF airport, we had to locate the Delta desk and rebook our ticket. The rebooking resulted in a delay of six hours compared to our original flight. The flight we missed, KL8645, was supposed to begin boarding at 09:50. The flight we eventually took to Copenhagen started boarding at 15:50.

Reimbursement Denial

Delta flight 2735 from Bradley International Airport to Atlanta. I am writing to formally request reimbursement for expenses incurred due to a significant flight disruption that resulted in unforeseen costs and inconvenience for both myself and my granddaughter, Leniah. On April 11,2025 our scheduled flight from Atlanta to Miami was unexpectedly diverted to Charlotte for refueling. Subsequently, the flight was delayed until the following morning and ultimately canceled, leaving us stranded without available travel options to Miami in time for our scheduled cruise departure. Upon seeking assistance at the Delta customer service counter in Charlotte, I inquired about rebooking on an American Airlines flight, knowing that Delta maintains a ticketing agreement with them. The representative advised that Delta could not issue the tickets directly but instructed me to purchase them independently and submit a reimbursement request. Another Delta representative further assured me that, given the circumstances, Delta would reimburse the cost of the tickets. Based on this guidance, I purchased the American Airlines tickets immediately to secure the last available seats. Despite my efforts, upon arriving at the cruise port, the ship had already departed, rendering our trip a complete loss. In addition to the airline tickets, I incurred additional expenses for accommodations and transportation, including hotel and Uber fares. Unfortunately, my subsequent reimbursement claim was denied on the grounds of weather-related disruptions, which directly contradicts the information provided by Delta’s representatives. I relied on Delta’s guidance and made financial decisions based on the assurance that reimbursement would be provided. I respectfully request that Delta honor the assurances made by its representatives and reimburse the cost of the American Airlines tickets, as well as reasonable associated expenses due to Delta’s flight cancellations and delays. I have attached all relevant receipts and documentation for your review. I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and look forward to your response. Please let me know if any additional information is required to process my request. Thank you for your consideration.

Horrible, extremely uncomfortable flight

The flight was extremely cold. I froze the entire flight despite the fact I had 2 shirts and a sweatshirt on and sweatpants and 2 blankets. Imagine freezing and being extremely uncomfortable on a 10+ hour flight. The bathroom was disguising. 2 of the 3 onboard. There was a smell that made your stomach instantly nauseous and feces everywhere in there. Also the water to wash hands at the sink was not functioning. I flew MULTIPLE delta flights that month, as well as other airlines, and this flight was an embarrassment to your name. Because of this flight, I may not book with delta again after I finish the remaining flights I have already booked.

Rude and unacceptable flight attendant

To whom it may concern, I would like to make a complaint about a horrible experience with one of your flight attendants. Alexis or Alexa on flight DL5675 on Sunday at 2:20 from LGA to CMH. I was flying to Columbus, Ohio as my mother was scheduled for emergency brain surgery the next morning. My bag was tagged for check in by the gate agent. I told her I had medicine packed and asked if I could see if there was room on the flight before they took it. If there wasn't - they can take it. She said yes but she was going to tag it anyway. Upon boarding I asked the greeting flight attendant if I could try and find a space. She said “yes, there may be some room in the back.” Unfortunately, I could not fit the bag in the overhead. “Alexis/Alexa” (the rear area flight attendant) came up behind me and said “they were right to tag it. It won’t fit-you need to check it. Take your bag to the front and sit down.” It was very loud and condescending. I said. “Ok. You don’t need to be rude.” She said she wasn’t and to “sit down and be quiet.” This was one of most obnoxious and inappropriate things I have ever heard someone say to a paying customer. The TWO other passengers across from me looked shocked. I walked my bag to the front of the plane and told the male flight attendant that she told me to “sit down and be quiet.” I asked him for her name so I could report her then sat down and started working. Some time passed and she walked by me. To preface - I DID NOT SPEAK TO HER AS SHE APPROACHED. She said to “let it go. This isn’t a big deal. You must have a lot of issues in your life.” – This is a verbatim quote. As she passed I said - “What? I didn’t even say anything! I’m just sitting here.” And she told me this was “being recorded” - I said “good. Bc This is insane.” More time passed. I began to work again. Then the male steward came up to me and said , “You can’t talk to her anymore or you will be removed from the flight. “ The two people next to me in in 10 A and B said were horrified at this exchange. They reiterated to the man that “she didn’t say anything. She was just sitting here when the woman spoke.” The male attendant said - “I spoke to the gate agent and she said she did NOT say she could bring her bag on. To which I said “ She said we”ll tag it just in case there isn’t room.“ The man then asked if “I was calling her a liar and do I want to talk to her and get off the plane?” I said no. And reiterated that I wasn’t talking - just sitting here. I have done nothing wrong. He said if I spoke to the other stewardess again, I would be removed. I understand the need for order on planes. I understand that flight attendants deal with unruly people all the time. Travel is hectic and situations can escalate quickly. The threat of expulsion off a plane must be a handy go to in situations such as this. Sincerely, I get it. But I did not disrupt order. I didn’t get loud, threaten, or become threatening in any manner. I told the attendant that she did not need to be rude. This is true and my right as a paying customer I stand behind this statement. This was not the delta customer service I have experienced in the past. Stating this is a simple fact. I wasn’t disobeying her or saying I would not check my bag. Her telling me to “sit down and be quiet,” in response to this was ridiculous. But to be approached AGAIN and told it was my fault because I “must have issues” is egregious. To be called a liar by the male attendant, who didn’t even see the event, and be threatened with an escort off the flight is absolutely unbelievable. It is within my rights to not be ganged up on, bullied, or spoken to with such disdain. I have two witnesses that were appalled and saw the entire exchange. I’m glad they spoke up. I have their names and phone number if you’d like to contact them. I’m writing this from the waiting room of the hospital, awaiting the results of my mother’s surgery. It’s the last thing that should be on my mind, yet I cannot believe how disgusting this whole ordeal was. The need for control and order on a flight is of course important, but again, nether one of these things were being threatened at any point. This experience was unsettling, inappropriate, and embarrassing. This treatment is not something anyone deserves when they fly. Or ever, for that matter.

TPA to DTW

Today’s experience was sad at best. I sent my wife to visit our Grandchildren in Michigan and paid $444. My wife received a flat Diet Coke, wasn’t offered any snack and the Stewards kept forgetting to get her a set of ear buds to watch Tv. To pay that Spring Break inflated price and to receive a flat coke. I would say I got taken to the cleaners. Our flying trips ended today with Delta. You should be embarrassed to charge that money for what my wife had to deal with. You need to do Better. Your not the only Airline in town.

Problems at airport

This is in regards to the unexpected cancellation of our flight BA226 on April 2, 2025. Upon arriving at the airport to board, my husband and I were informed via announcement that the flight had been canceled. This caused significant inconvenience, as we had to make last-minute arrangements to board our pet puppy, purchase additional food, and secure transportation back home. Additionally, we had already paid to attend a seminar conference, which we were unable to attend due to this cancellation. This not only resulted in financial loss but also a missed professional opportunity. The airline advised me to file a claim, and they rescheduled our flight for tomorrow night. However, we will miss the conference by tomorrow night. This has inconvenienced us in several ways.

Although I had an approved ESTA Delta Airlines denied me boarding my flight. O had evidence from the ESTA app that I had been approved to fly to the US. Delta Airlines had an issue with their system and couldn't verify it so I missed my flight. I was then transferred to Air France who checked my ESTA and verified it's validity and allowed me to fly. The problem was that I was rerouted to Washington where I had to stay overnight and didn't get to Salt Lake until the next day. I was travelling for a business conference and had an important dinner to attend Sunday night which I ended up missing because the Air France flight arrived the next day, on Monday. This had a very detrimental impact to my purpose for flying to the US. Apart from the business impact, it was highly embarrassing being denied access to the flight and I incurred several unexpected costs like booking an emergency hotel for the night in Washington (this was not sorted out by Delta Airlines), then there were added expenses for food and transportation. Overall a very poor experience due to system issues with Delta Airlines.

Subject: Complaint Regarding Denied Check-In and Resulting Inconveniences on Flight 1010 Dear Delta Airlines Customer Service, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding an incident that occurred on March 7th during my scheduled flight from Orlando International Airport to JFK Airport. My daughter and I were booked on a Delta flight at 7:59 PM. We arrived at the airport at 6:58 PM, which provided sufficient time for check-in and luggage processing. However, at the self-service check-in area, the employee on duty refused to process our check-in, despite the kiosk indicating that we were eligible to check in within the available 45-minute window. As a result, we were forced to take a flight the following morning. This delay caused us to lose a full day of work, and we were left with no alternative but to spend the night sleeping in a chair. I gave sleep apnea, vack and neck issues which I have a hx of surgeries. This could gave bern avoided if the ticket agent would have done his work diligently and not been from the moment he us ssaid to us " I can't check you in", which was not correct. After this incident, I sought clarification from another employee, who kindly explained that our check-in should have been honored given the ample time we had. He expressed confusion as to why the first employee did not assist us by taking our luggage and allowing us to board the flight as scheduled. I have always chosen Delta Airlines for my travel needs and have never encountered such issues in the past. Unfortunately, this incident not only disrupted our travel plans but also had a significant impact on my daughter’s birthday week. The loss of work and the severe inconvenience caused have left me extremely upset and disappointed with the service provided. I respectfully request that Delta Airlines review this incident and take appropriate measures to ensure that such an occurrence does not happen in the future. I would appreciate a prompt response regarding the actions taken to address this matter and any compensation or resolution you can offer to mitigate the inconvenience caused. Thank you for your attention to this serious matter. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Sincerely, Catherine Domeneck Jasmine Domeneck

Delta service

Quick to resolve and refund seat selection Only complaint I had was with the original check in process as it wouldn’t let me check in without the esta online but said to see the check in counter at airport it wasn’t clear that we wouldn’t be able to board the flight without it. Bit disappointing we were approved 10mins after gate closed they wouldn’t hold the gate even though the flight wasn’t due to leave for another hour. But 3 people on standby were let in after gate closed. We arrived at the airport 3hrs before we waiting in line only to be told we needed to get it before. While i understand we should have researched further I had confidence delta would be able to help. To miss out by 10mins is extremely disappointing and the gentleman at the service desk at delta could not care less or give any compassion tried to tell me the flight was going to leave an hour earlier which I knew was not the case. Overall happy with this chat and quick refund of the seats but I don’t think I’d fly delta again due to check in lack of customer service or help.

Passive aggressive staff

My 15 hour flight turned out tougher that I thought. First my reserved seat was very different from the map they provided on the website. It was a seat supposed to be next to the window with no seats in front of me. We paid extra 49 dollars from my sky points to avail this. When I boarded, the seat was 5th from the front where there were seats in front of me. Every trip I try to be on the isle or the front so I can go to the bathrom easily as I go more often than a normal person. I do have a thing about being enclosed too. I asked one of the staff kindly. She said they were full. I said " I should be fine and went back to my spot. 10 minutes after . The same staff called me and she moved me to a spot without a seat in the front. Calling me with her finger like a dog. I told her that I will just leave my carry on the upper bins and get them later. She thought I wanted to transfer them to the new spot . She frowned and said can you just move them later. I was telling her the same thing. I was very happy that she found me a better seat. I thanked her bowing to her, and thanking her profusely. Did not mind that she was a little annoyed. Come to find out later that my infotainment screen is not working on my new seat. This means I cannot control my lights, fan, and call bell. I also love watching movies because its a 15 hour flight . Felt tricked and trapped because I requested for a new seat and that everything was my fault. I spoke to the staff nicely giving snacks about it and she just nodded. Spoke to another after 10 minutes and she just said OK. Both did not do anything. Both very snobby. Both did not comeback to check. So I asked my seat mate a favor to use her infotainment screen to press the call bell for me so someone can come. Anothet staff came and she said she will request for a re set of the equipment. They did the reset and my screen did the blackout part at reset. It still did not work. She did not confirm if the problem was resolved . She did not come back . After maybe 2 hours I was able to catch the staff giving drinks. She was nice. She requested a reset too . She came back and she rechecked my situation. Unfortunately it still didn't work. She offered me another seat nicely. I declined nicely as my mild claustrophobia and many trips to bathroom was my priority. Another staff came after 3 hours because my infotainment screen started moving on its own and called the call bell on its own. The screen was moving on its own like somebody playing playstation. She did another reset but also did not come back to check if it was resolved . It was frustrating. I just smiled as all of the staff that I have spoken earlier would just walk pass my area. Nobody checked. No follow-ups. Nobody was at least a little sorry. The nice staff who offered me another seat asked about if this is my "real seat" . That's when I knew they did this on purpose. It was a sad experience for me as I did not display a single second of being difficult. The seat my wife picked weeks before the flight so I can be comfortable. The staff made me feel like I should have not asked about it. It was a long sad trip for me.

I was told I was not allowed on the flight as my documents were not being processed. They then transfered me to air france who had no problem processing me but unfortunately they didn't have a direct flight so I had to stay over at Washington. I had to book a hotel at Washington as a result. I arrived at salt lake city at 12pm the next day so I was delayed over 24 hours and had to pay for a hotel and food overnight.

Morning of 04.01.2025 got text flight was cancelled from Amsterdam to Split. I was departing from Jfk with my son. I arrived at airport JFK earlier to see what airline they wilI rebook us on. Counter person at Delta informed us our whole original itinerary was interrupted. (Jfk to Amsterdam to Split). We were then booked on flight to London Heathrow to Munich to Split. Also was informed arrival in London I had to collect my luggage and self check. Before agreeing I asked if I had enough time in London to do that, They informed I had 3+ hours. Our flight JKF to London was delayed over 1 hour..which stressed us out do to the self transfer. Arrival in London very stressful collecting luggage and rushing to receive boarding passes and being told had to pay again for extra luggage and arriving to gate on time.. Again I recieve a notice that our flight to Munich was delayed..which was relief and then being delayed a few more times raised concern about making my connecting flight from Munich to my final destination Split. Arrival to Munich again our Flight to Split we arrived at gate within minutes of gate closing. With another last minute gate change and delay. Very stressful. We made the flight to our final destination Split. I PAID for a 1 stop from JFK to Amsterdam to Split ..We had lots of inconvenience from our original itinerary. In the end we made it to our final destination. Instead of 11:45 5.01.2025 @ 15:45 we landed. Please review this claim and we feel we completely went with what the Airline provided at time.. but extremely stressful the whole itinerary..which I did not pay for..compensation we feel is appropriate in this claim...

Technical problems

Hi there, I had a horrible experience on my last trip from Detroit to Cairo H6TDD9 on December 10th, 2024. My flight from Paris to Cairo was delayed after barding for almost 5 hours while setting inside the airplane… then after 5 hours they decided to cancel the flight and send us to hotel, and promised to put me on another flight the next morning. I showed up the next morning at the airport and I was told that my only option is to fly to Roma and from there they will connect me to Cairo. After arriving to Roma, there was no flight to Cairo that day and no one to help me at all. After a long stressful day without any help or customer service, I had to stay at a hotel again and wait for a flight on Egypt air the next day. After finally arriving to Cairo 3 days later, my luggages were no where to be found… till few days later I was able to pick one luggage form Air France and the 2nd form Egypt air… both luggages were damaged and many of my belongings were damaged. I filed a complain with both Egypt Air and Air France and they both denied responsibility and told me that it was Delta’s responsibility. As result of all the delays and mishandling my luggages, I missed my brother’s wedding ceremony and my damaged and delayed belongings.

1 suitcase not put on Delta flight from the City Hopper

BRU-AMS ok. Parked at a stand and had a bus take us to the terminal. Terminal elevator was out of order had to drag roller up the stairs. AMS-SEA flight was ok. At SEA at the carousel was missing one suitcase. Asked oversize person who got me a supervisor who said they knew it was not on the flight. Said go talk to lost baggage. I did. I was told it would be in the next day, but I was leaving SEA for another town. So the woman said that she would leave instructions for the suitcase to be flown to that town. Alaska air serves that town. I said, tell that airport to just hold on to it and I would get it the next day. That town's agent said my parents place was outside the delivery zone and refused to accept the suitcase. So it stayed in Seattle. This was thursday and friday. Saturday Delta took it to UPS. UPS does not sort on the weekend. So it missed the Monday truck. Delta hides behind chatbots on the phone and the agents can't tell you anything that you don't already know. I got a tracking number from Delta and then talked to UPS local station agent. She checked and said it would be on the overnight run arriving Tuesday, the day I am leaving that town. I got my suitcase at 7am no thanks to incompetent Delta ground and Alaska terminal agent.

After an initial delay of 45 minutes the passengers boarded the aircraft. Once we begin the take off process the aircraft abruptly stopped while at top-speed after attempting to take off. At this point we were informed that the plane would be returning to the gate. The passengers were told that the delay time was unknown. Passengers were invited to deplane with no specificities of how long the delay would last. By 22:00 (3hrs/40minutes after the scheduled departure) the aircraft departed the gates at DTW. This unprecedented delay interfered with my connecting flight which was scheduled to depart at 9:15 from Amsterdam. I was rebooked on a different flight from AMS-BIO departing at 14:02 and arriving at 17:00. This process in its entirety cause a 6 hour delay for my arrival to my final destination.

Arriving in Amsterdam, I talked to a KLM representative saying that I will be missing my only bus from Berlin to Rostock, and I had to spend the night in Berlin. They told me to talk to a KLM representative at the destination, in Berlin, which I did. The Berlin representative gave me a pamphlet of what costs are covered (food, hotel and taxi), which I took into consideration when booking my hotel for the night.

Rude Lead Flight Attendant at Origin airport

I noticed a spring-loaded safety clip on the floor latch of the port front boarding door as I boarded my flight, which I notified the lead flight attendant. She dismissed it and never mentioned it to anyone (eg the Captain/FO). After I was seated, she moved my carryon and slammed the bin closed.

I was charged $500.00 extra for five bags!

At 6am on 02/03/2025 my wife and I checked in at the Delta Priority Counter. We were there since 5:45am and that was fine. The lady that came to our counter did not smile, did not say good morning she had a look on her face that said what do you two want. We gave her our pass ports and she looked us up. My wife and I are both frequent fliers with Delta and my tickets were purchased with sky miles (68,000 miles for two one-way tickets) and I felt very good being part of Delt and American Express Platinum card holder. Everyone at some time or another has a bad day, but this woman was beyond that. I am 78 years old, and I have not had an experience like this before. It was time for our luggage to be wade. The first bag weighed in at 53 lbs. The lady said to remove three pounds be for the bag can be loaded. I took the second bag, and it weighed 55 lbs. and I was told to remove five lbs, from the bag or it will not be loaded. The third bag was weighed in at 52 lbs. The fourth bag weighed in at 53 lbs. and the fifth bag weighed in at 54 lbs. I told the lady that it was not possible to remove the overage and could she let us pay for the overage. She gave me a look like the kind I had in Viet Nam when looking at a communist who wanted to kill me. She then said all right, and pointed to the first bag and said, this will be a hundred, then the second bag, this will be a hundred and on down the line, a hundred, a hundred and a hundred. What made it even worse was she seemed to enjoy it. There were four bags that each had LESS than five lbs. of overage and one that was over by five lbs. The overweight came to $500.00. I would like to point out that the plane was not full. I asked the lady if the flight was full, and she said probably. I know she was wrong because I called Delta as to my wife's seat and my seat and was told that the flight had plenty of available seats left. So, my bags were not a weight issue. I waited a few days before contacting Delta. I needed to calm down. I want to say that the team that crewed that aircraft were super. Delta is a fine airline. But I feel that I was wronged. Please to me if you want more information.

When my mom arrived in Amsterdam she was told to wait for a wheelchair escort. She waited several hours and no one came so she walked on her own (with a cane for assistance and carrying her carry-on bag) to find somewhere else to sit and wait for news on a new flight. My mom was supposed to arrive in Utica on the night of 21 January. She did not make it home until late on the 22 January.

Influence by other flights

The morning of the flight we received a 4hr delay notice, a couple of hours later we received a cancellation notice. A new flight would be put on the following days (26hrs after scheduled departure). I managed to get a Delta agent online to transfer us to another airline EI109 21DEC24, leaving Dublin 4hrs later than the Delta scheduled time, downgraded and on separate seats. I am waiting for the refund for the downgrade as it is now being processed. I received ecredit as an apology for the downgrade and issues in how that was managed. We have received no compensation or credit for the delay in the flight. have not been asked to sign or acknowledge anything. Note the response below from Delta when I queried compensation for the flight. Delta Mike, RE: Case 12151887 Thanks so much for your follow up. As your flight originated in Europe, your case has been elevated to me for special handling within the requirements of EU261/2004…… Regrettably this delay does not qualify for Eu 261 compensation. Your flight was delayed because of late arriving equipment due to weather and air traffic control delays at its previous boarding point. Under EU261/2004 this would be considered an extraordinary expense and compensation would not be due. I know this is not the answer you were hoping for and I am sorry. Note: on the Delta app you can see your upcoming flight, but you can also see where the aircraft is to work that flight. The night before our flight we could clearly see that the airplane was late out of America (not notified by Delta until the following day). It was clear that the aircraft arrived in Dublin in ample time to operate DL45 21DEC on time. I used to work within the airline industry, and I suspect the issue was crew hours; i.e. the departing flight crew were now out of hours. Delta knew the flight was being delayed the day before and could have positioned another crew in to operate DL45 21Dec on time, either from the Us or form within Europe.

I booked a very short trip to visit my sister because she has just had a baby. I couldn't go for long because I have a little girl of my own. My trip was a total of 4 nights. The 9 hour delay at Amsterdam, meant that I missed the best part of a day of my already short trip. I was due to arrive in the morning, but I didn't end up getting there until the evening. When I did arrive, my bag was also missing, so I hard to stay at the airport longer to provide those details.

My flight from GSP to ATL was delayed several times, I missed my first scheduled flight because of it which was a Virgin Atlantic flight. Delta put me onto a new flight, a Delta flight at 6:49 PM. My GSP flight was delayed once again and I was unable to make the replacement flight because of it. I arrived at the gate at 6:38 PM and was told I could not board because the plane was “departing”. Several more delays occurred and that plane did not depart until 7:32 PM but I was still not put on the plane. My bag was put on the plane but not me. They then rescheduled my flight AGAIN for a 10:30 PM Delta flight. They could not honor my comfort+ seating and moved me to the main cabin with no compensation.
