We received a notification through the easyJet app advising us to go to the airport at our original check-in time and informing us that we should expect approximately a one-hour delay. However, we ended up waiting around seven hours at the airport before finally departing for Lyon instead of Basel. Our train tickets from Basel were scheduled for 7:50 AM, and the coaches provided by easyJet were expected to arrive in Basel at around 9:30 AM. As a result of the significant delay and change of destination, we missed our planned train and our hotel booking in Basel. The situation was extremely stressful and, after hearing about the further delays and the long journey to Basel, I became unwell and was not in a condition to continue travelling. Because of this, I was unable to travel to Basel and we had no choice but to arrange alternative accommodation in Lyon. This caused us significant inconvenience, additional expenses, and the loss of our original travel and accommodation arrangements.

Poor service on bisrd all blamed on someone other than easyJet themselces

Everyone had checked in and we were expecting to board the plane, everybody was outside for at least half an hour standing in intense heat waiting for a bus to turn up. When the bus turned up, we boarded the plane. We were then told that there was a delay and we had to wait on the plane for an hour before takeoff. Once in the air we were told that there had been a mistake with the catering and there was hardly any hot food available. Then halfway through the flight we were told that the water containers were not put on the plane, again blamed on a third-party and that there would be no hot drink drinks. We were also told that we couldn’t wash our hands in the toilet.

Overall

easyJet did not let me board the flight due to lack of knowledge that I had the right documents. I have ILR in the UK and my card has not been digitised . When I had to buy another ticket the next day with Vueling , they allowed me to fly with no problem.

Unnecessary wait on board for off duty cabin crew passenger to embark.

Missed my onward flight to Antalya as my flight from Manchester on August 16 was delayed by over an hour, waiting on the runway for an off duty cabin crew member to arrive. I couldn’t secure an alternative flight to Turkey for the save day and so had to book a Jet 2 flight for the next day, from Manchester instead. I then had to book a flight back to Manchester for the 16 August, with Easy Jet. I’m out of pocket for both my flight home yesterday and my flight to Turkey today.

I am submitting a claim for the severe delay of my three checked suitcases following flight EZ602 from Edinburgh to Luton on 1 August (booking KCWKLD P). I travelled with my three children, Natasha Nsofor, Olga Nsofor and Tatiana Nsofor. The flight arrived on time, but none of our three suitcases arrived. We reported the missing baggage at Luton and completed the delayed baggage form (ref. LTNU228226). As I had a short stay in London before travelling to Paris with my children, I urgently contacted Edinburgh Airport. I was told that, as the last Edinburgh-Luton flight had departed, the only way to potentially receive my luggage that night was to travel to Gatwick myself. At about 10pm, I was assured the bags had been placed on the Gatwick flight. I travelled there by taxi, but despite the flight arriving around 11:30pm, the bags could not be found. I left after midnight without them. The next morning I was again told the bags were at Gatwick, so I returned by taxi. I made four taxi journeys in total, costing approximately Β£640. I also paid Β£70 for alternative transport to my hotel after missing our pre-booked transfer. I spent approximately six hours at Gatwick speaking with the EasyJet manager and Edinburgh baggage centre before all three suitcases were finally found at about 3pm. Without our luggage, I had to purchase essential clothing, nightwear and toiletries for my children and me (Β£520), plus food/snacks (Β£65). My children were left without their belongings and basic necessities. Total expenses: approximately Β£1,295. This caused severe stress, inconvenience and loss of holiday time, disrupted my London plans and affected our onward trip to Paris. The repeated conflicting information also caused unnecessary journeys and expense. I request reimbursement of the Β£1,295 expenses and appropriate compensation for the substantial disruption and inconvenience caused by the prolonged baggage delay. I ask EasyJet to consider the full circumstances of this incident, and compensate accordingly

Claim escalated to airline

No reason given

Dear easyJet Customer Relations, I am writing further to my previous correspondence regarding the outstanding amount of €409.37, which remains due to me following the cancellation of my flight. As stated in my previous email, I have already filed a payment order claim (procedimiento monitorio) before the competent Spanish court. The application was filed at the end of February, and I have attached the relevant filing receipt for your reference. I have not received any response from easyJet regarding the outstanding amount or any evidence supporting your refusal to pay the full compensation due. Nevertheless, I remain willing to resolve this matter amicably and avoid further judicial proceedings. If easyJet pays the outstanding €409.37 in full, I am prepared to withdraw the proceedings and consider the matter fully and finally settled between us. I would therefore ask you to review the matter once again and arrange payment of the outstanding amount without further delay. Should I not receive a satisfactory response, I will allow the court proceedings to continue and will seek recovery of the outstanding amount together with any applicable interest and costs. I look forward to your prompt response. Kind regards, Cristina DIAZ RUIZ +33 635 704 896

We went away for my partners birthday and had plans when arriving at hotel. We was unable to do anything and this affected us both for the 2 days having no belongings. I purchased essentials whilst away but still didn’t feel like that was what the first days of my holiday should have been wasted on. It affected my mental health and was worried sick as nobody contacted me about my luggage until I asked our hotel reception to help me. Will not be booking with easyJet again.

Problems at airport

A quick look at departures from Naples the same day at about the same time did not show cancellations with other airlines. Furthermore, Easyjet departures from Naples the next day were cancelled due to a strike, and there is good reason to believe that the cancellation of our flight was connected with the strike the next day. I am therefore sceptical of their claim that the cancellation was for reasons outside of their control.

EasyJet lied and manipulated to avoid paying

We landed in Nice instead of Geneva. EasyJet assured us we would get reimbursed alternative travel as well as initial tickets. Didn't get reimbursed for either. They are assuring us that they put in a new flight within 48h so they shouldn't have to pay. They held the luggage until 3 AM despite the fact that we landed in Nice at midnight to avoid paying for hotels and basically expected us to wait from midnight to 11h45 AM (12 hours) in Nice airport, outside security gates, without certainty of a flight as it kept being pushed back. I suffer from heart palpitations and sent them evidence. I therefore chose to book a bus to get home and arrived before their alternative flight. They are refusing to reimburse alternative travel.

Hello My name is Stefan Kostadinov and I would like to file a complaint about a flight from Barcelona to Belfast on Sunday (09.08.2026)10:30h. The booking number is KCZMHV3. Due to incompetence on the part of the easyJet ground staff, we were not allowed to board the plane with the explanation that my 11-year-old son does not have an ETA. All the documents were in order for me, my wife and my eldest son. I explained that we are European citizens with permanent residence status in the United Kingdom which gives us the right to live, work, study and everything else. I showed the Status of Residence for each of us and a document proving the address of residence in Northern Ireland, but your staff did not want to look at the documents at all. They said that without an ETA they would not allow him to board the plane or to give him a status code. Within 3 minutes I had to download a share code or ETA and decide whether one parent would stay with the child or no one would fly. About every 30 seconds I was asked the question - "will someone get on or will you all stay". The internet at the airport was very weak and I was not able to show what they wanted (if they even knew what they wanted). As a result, we missed the flight. This cost me additional costs such as: 1. 20 pounds for issuing an ETA 2. 212.75 euros for transportation to Reus airport 3. 740 euros for plane tickets from the company Jet2. 4. Additional costs for food of about 85 euros, because the flight that was announced for 19:40 was delayed and left at 22:30. 5. 14 hours longer than expected which resulted in additional people being hired in Northern Ireland to pick up my dog from a hotel where he was staying for the holiday and many other inconveniences. (I have receipts and bank statements to prove all of this). At 1:18pm I received an email to share my flight experience with you - I take this as a nasty joke We safely landed with Jet2 in Belfast, without any problems from them regarding ETA, status or anything. Upon entering Northern Ireland, a border control officer explicitly informed us that since we are legal residents with permanent status in the UK and are European citizens - we DO NOT need to file declarations, have an ETA or other nonsense from anyone. However, we have and have filed UKVI since the system was introduced. I also have a question - since I purchased the tickets on 13.07.2026 and your system is so strict (that's what was explained to me), why didn't your system detect a problem and I wasn't notified in advance? Due to the incompetence of your employee, our return trip turned into a nightmare and resulted in additional costs of about 1000 pounds. I hope you will look into the case and make an adequate decision. If this doesn't happen, I will escalate to ADR

Re: Delayed Child Car Seats – Claim Reference AGPU219321 I am submitting this covering letter in support of my claim for reimbursement following the failure to deliver our two child car seats on arrival. This was not a minor inconvenience. We were travelling with children and needed suitable car seats in order to leave the airport safely. When our own seats did not arrive, we were left with no practical alternative but to hire two replacement child seats at our own expense. The replacement seats provided were significantly larger than our own travel car seats. Because we needed to fit three child seats across the rear of the vehicle, the replacement seats would not fit in the car we had originally booked. We were therefore forced to upgrade to a larger vehicle, resulting in further additional costs. These expenses were incurred entirely because our checked child car seats were not available when we arrived. The situation also caused substantial disruption and stress at the beginning of our holiday. Instead of being able to collect our vehicle and continue our journey, we spent approximately 90 additional minutes trying to resolve the missing car seats, arranging replacements and changing the hire vehicle while responsible for our children. I am therefore requesting: * Full reimbursement of the cost of hiring the replacement child car seats. * Full reimbursement of the additional vehicle-upgrade costs that arose because the replacement seats would not fit in our originally booked vehicle. * Reimbursement of any other reasonable and evidenced expenses directly resulting from the delayed baggage. * Additional compensation or an appropriate goodwill payment in recognition of the significant inconvenience, disruption and stress caused to our family. I have retained receipts and supporting evidence for the additional expenditure and have provided these with my claim. I would ask that easyJet considers the circumstances of this claim as a whole. The vehicle upgrade was not an optional purchase or a decision made for convenience; it was a direct and unavoidable consequence of the replacement car seats we were forced to hire after our own seats failed to arrive. I therefore expect the reimbursement element of my claim to be assessed on that basis and would be grateful for a fair and prompt resolution. Please confirm receipt of this claim and supporting documentation, and provide a substantive response as soon as possible.

Olbia-London

Claim escalated to airline

Influence by other flights

I am writing to explain the circumstances surrounding my recent flight cancellation and to ask if my case could kindly be reviewed again with some consideration. My original easyJet flight from Olbia to London was scheduled for 16 July, but the flight was cancelled. I was then rebooked for 17 July, but unfortunately that flight was also cancelled. I was finally able to return to London on 18 July. The two consecutive cancellations caused me considerable inconvenience and additional expenses. In particular: I lost one full working day as a result of not being able to return to London as planned. I had to ask a friend to collect me from Olbia Airport, which also resulted in additional fuel expenses for them. Because I could not afford to risk missing another day of work, I purchased an alternative flight with another airline. I ultimately did not use this ticket because I was able to travel with easyJet on 18 July. The alternative airline was still operating flights, although there may also have been some delays. Most importantly, I was left uncertain for two consecutive days about when I would actually be able to return home and to work. I understand that flight disruptions can sometimes occur and that there may be circumstances outside the airline's control. However, having my return flight cancelled on two consecutive days had a significant impact on me, both financially and professionally. I previously requested compensation from easyJet, but unfortunately my request was rejected. I would therefore really appreciate it if you could reconsider my case and take into account the circumstances and the genuine inconvenience and costs I experienced. I am not trying to make an unreasonable claim; I am simply asking for some fairness and consideration given that I was unable to return as originally scheduled and ultimately lost a working day because of the cancellations. Thank you for taking the time to review my case. Kind regards, Peter

Left sat on the airplane for 4 and a half hours at Edinburgh airport. Told to get off the aircraft to stretch our legs and get a voucher for food and drink then plane will take off at approximately 2pm. We were told when exiting plane to take all our belongings. Once we were all off the aircraft and on the tarmac we were told flight is cancelled and to make our way to the gate then collect our luggage. No vouchers received just told to collect our luggage, awful experience of people upset, crying and angry. No alternative arrangements or help given.

We boarded the flight at 5.50am then told by the captain the we would have to wait 2 and half hours at the gate at the same moment I received a text message from holiday insurance asking me to claim my delayed flight money of Β£25 for delayed flight which surprised me as I had only just been told by the captain 25 seconds before the text...Very strange that holiday insurance knew my flight had been delayed before the captain on the flight. After that we were then told we would taxi to runway un 45 minutes. Later we were on runway wait further 1 hour after which we were then informed we were returning to the gate which we did waiting a further 30 minutes before being told we were getting off the aircraft. We were told we would get food and drinks voucher while off the plane but would return to the plane taking off about 2pm. On leaving aircraft we were all told to take all our belongings. Once we were all off the plane and on the runway in a bus we were all informed our flight is cancelled to collect our luggage and we would receive an email or text. We were given no further advice, no alternative flight, no food ordrinks voucher after 4 and a half hours on a plane just to collect our luggage and go.We have had cancel the whole holiday plus missed our concert to see Earth Wind and Fire.

Departed Rhodes airport around 23:50, whilst on board the pilot said the initial delay came down to weather issues which then affected the spot for departure with ATC and then set them behind by quite a bit of time, our stop in Milan is due to staff needing to change over because of working hours. Landed into Milan at 02:37 but due to time difference 01:37, departed Milan 04:21 as there were issues with crew change and fuelling then met with thunder and lightning around 03:50. Arrived at Bristol airport 05:20

Our flight departed Rhodes Airport at approximately 23:50. While we were on board, the captain informed passengers that the initial delay was due to adverse weather conditions, which caused us to miss our allocated departure slot with Air Traffic Control (ATC), resulting in a significant knock-on delay. The flight made an unscheduled stop in Milan for a crew change because the operating crew had reached their maximum permitted working hours. We landed in Milan at 02:37 local time (which was 01:37 UK time). We eventually departed Milan at 04:21 local time following further delays caused by issues with the crew change process and refuelling. While waiting to depart, there was also thunder and lightning in the area at approximately 03:50 local time. The flight finally arrived at Bristol Airport at 05:20, which was substantially later than the originally scheduled arrival time.

Technical problems

We had a flight easyJet booking reference: KBPL797 From Luxembourg to Milano Linate EJU5438 Departs: Sun 21 Jun 2026 09:20 It was cancelled while we were already on board. We were asked to go out of the plane and wait. The postponed departure was scheduled for the following day: Mon 22 Jun 2026 14:45 We had our connection flight Volotea departing: Sun 21 Jun 2026 23:55 from BGY to Olbia There was no other way to go to Milano to take our connection flight, so we had to pay for a direct flight to Olbia with Luxair LG563 Departs: Sun 21 Jun 2026 12:25 that costed us extra 1038,50 euro. I mad 4 times a claim to Easyjet to be compensated but they refused. EasyJet isn't compensating us because we didn't board the next day on their flight. Adding insult to injury.

Influence by other flights

My friend and I arrived at the airport for our scheduled EasyJet flight from Ibiza to Nice. Just before boarding was due to begin, the flight was cancelled. There were no remaining EasyJet flights to Nice the following day, leaving all passengers scrambling to find alternative transportation. Because flights were selling out quickly, I booked replacement Vueling tickets for my friend (Brianna Wilburn) and I for the next day. This was a significant inconvenience, as the new itinerary included a layover and required us to stay an additional night in Ibiza. We also had to taxi to and from the opposite side of the island from the airport to stay in a hotel for the night. In addition, a friend had been scheduled to pick us (Brianna Wilburn and I) up from the Nice airport on the night of our original flight and drive us to St. Tropez. Since we arrived a day later, this was no longer possible, and we had to pay for an Uber from the airport instead. The amounts I have circled on the attached receipts are the expenses for which I am requesting reimbursement, including: - The cancelled EasyJet flight and checked baggage fee. - The replacement Vueling flights. - The Uber from Nice Airport that became necessary due to the cancellation. - The taxi to Ibiza Airport. In addition to reimbursement for these expenses, I am also requesting the €250 compensation to which I am entitled under applicable passenger rights regulations for the cancellation and the substantial inconvenience it caused.

Flight EZY2721 was scheduled to depart Bristol at 17:00 on 16 July 2026 and eventually departed around midnight. We arrived in Alicante at approximately 03:30 local time on 17 July 2026. During the disruption, the captain informed passengers that replacement crew had been assembled for the delayed inbound aircraft arriving from Croatia. The replacement crew were applauded by passengers - it was clearly an exceptional circumstance to finally assemble the team needed to operate the flight. My understanding from the captain's announcements was that sourcing replacement crew was the significant issue during the disruption and contributed to the ongoing delay. Throughout the evening, departure times continued to move back significantly from the original departure time. Specifically, and notably - At no stage were passengers informed that the delay was attributable to air traffic control restrictions. easyJet provided meal vouchers at Bristol Airport of Β£12 per passenger, followed later by a further Β£6 per passenger. The delay caused significant inconvenience to my family. We were travelling with three children aged 9, 7 and 3, who became increasingly distressed, exhausted and upset due to the approximately seven-hour delay and very late arrival time. I also heard from other passengers that airport staff had suggested the inbound aircraft experienced a technical issue in Croatia and was grounded. This likely impacted the crew planning and scheduling. However, I cannot independently verify this information and include it only for completeness. My direct observation is that the requirement to source replacement crew was specifically communicated to passengers by the captain during the delay. Booking reference: KBNC728. Claim relates to five passengers travelling on the same booking.

EasyJet rejected the claim on Nov 4, arguing that third-party ground supplier delays caused the crew to exceed legal hours and miss the Basel curfew. I have formally responded rejecting their defense under EU/UK261 rules, as supplier issues are operational. I issued a 14-day deadline for payment (€250/Β£220) before escalating to CEDR.

Flight EZY9918 from Tenerife South to Belfast International was due to depart at 12:50 on 23 July 2026. Throughout the afternoon, the departure time was repeatedly delayed in short intervals, with very little information provided to passengers. Passengers were left waiting outside the terminal for a prolonged period in very hot weather. After we were brought back inside, we were told that someone would come and update us within 10 minutes about what was happening. Unfortunately, no one came to speak to us, and it was almost an hour later before we received an email advising that the flight had been postponed until the following morning because the crew had reached their legal working hours. We eventually arrived at our final destination more than 12 hours later than scheduled. We were accommodated in a hotel overnight and I had to arrange and pay for taxi transport, which easyJet has since reimbursed. One of the passengers travelling with me, Johnny, has anxiety. The prolonged uncertainty, repeated delays, lack of communication and extended wait in the heat made the experience particularly distressing for him. While I understand that the initial delays may have been related to weather, the final overnight delay was due to the crew exceeding their legal working hours. As we arrived at our destination more than 12 hours late, I would appreciate my eligibility for compensation under UK261 being considered.

Manchester-Geneva

No reason given

Following the cancellation of my Manchester to Geneva flight, I first used the easyJet Manage Booking facility to rebook onto the Edinburgh to Geneva flight the following morning. I chose this option because the alternative flights offered by easyJet were not practical, involving journey times of around 10 hours with stopovers. However, after rebooking, I discovered that there was no available transport that would get me from Manchester to Edinburgh Airport in time for the flight. As a result, I had no realistic way of using the rebooked ticket. To get home as soon as reasonably possible, I therefore booked, at my own expense, a separate flight from London Gatwick to Geneva. This was the only viable option I could find. My understanding is that, under UK/EU passenger rights, I am entitled to reimbursement of the reasonable expenses I incurred as a direct result of the cancellation. I am therefore claiming reimbursement for: One night's hotel accommodation. Train travel to London Gatwick Airport. The replacement flight from London Gatwick to Geneva.

We were told fight was cancelled way past the departure time at the airport. Maybe around 7.30-8pm, We were told by Saleh the supervisor/manager and other staff of airline that the plain has mechanical issues and not safe to fly. We were told all flights to Birmingham fully booked all week. We eventually got a email with new fight to Manchester on the 16.07.26 about 9.30pm-10.30pm. We were left at the airport till past 11pm untill airport coach arrived to take us to the hotel. My kids including my 6 year old autistic son was unsettled, confused, tired, and scared and didn't get to bed till past midnight. It was horrific. My husband was supposed to go back to work on Thursday. We missed appointments. Such as gas meter installation.

The flight was changed to Gatwick, luggage was lost , it was eventually returned & delivered to my home address a claim was made for the diverted flight & initial lost luggage before it was returned, when it did the tobacco was missing the uk value Β£210 emailed easyJet customer service 5/6/26 waited for reply chased it up, told to fill this in. I booked this flight for my stepson Jacob Frazer who was with me in Majorca, which is why the ticket is in his name. I feel strongly that Easy jet should not be allowed to let items from the case to be stolen when in their possession & should not getaway with it at my expense & inconvenience. To replace this tobacco at uk price is Β£210 Which is my claim

We were travelling total 9people 2x senior citizens 1x child 5xadults As you can see on the tickets. We were late arrived for check in as the staff said 2 minutes late. They didn’t help at all instead one staff said that flight was available only 9pm on that day. So was panic because my accommodation and hire car were booked already in Glasgow and tickets for Balmoral castle was already reserved. After a while we approached another staff and directed to desk who checked system and told us flight is available for 0905 hours but Β£110 each and we have to wait until our flight took off. Then we waited for time and rebooked tickets to fly Glasgow. EasyJet staffs were helpless and were not professional manner to handle customers. No clear knowledge to give direction to customers. They didn’t contact their manager and didn’t offered any facilities or suggestions at all to deal the situation. Their answer was can’t do anything.

Email ricevuta a seguito apertura richiesta di rimborso tramite sito Easyjet : Compensation Claim Assessment Claim received: 18-07-2026 Flight Number: 3831 Flight Date: 17-07-2026 Dear NICOLINE, Thank you for getting in touch. We’re very sorry that your flight from MXP to LTN was CANCELLATION We always review claims fairly and in keeping with EU/UK regulation. When a flight is cancelled, all customers are entitled to switch to a new flight for free, request a full refund, or a voucher for future travel. However, as your flight needed to be cancelled for reasons outside of our control, unfortunately we’re unable to offer you compensation as well. To further explain what happened on the day; air traffic control restrictions across parts of France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Czechia, Poland, Hungary, Croatia and Central Europe substantially regulated the air space due to adverse weather condition, which resulted in long delays to flights as aircraft waited for air space β€˜slots’ to operate, sometimes for several hours. We do take reasonable measures to avoid delays and cancellations to our flights by having replacement crews and spare aircraft available in our network. However, in the circumstances, these options would not have helped as your flight was cancelled due to air traffic control restrictions. Claiming expenses If you incurred additional expenses in MXP on the day when the flight was cancelled, delayed, or diverted. e.g you were asked to find a hotel room for the night of a cancelled flight, or onwards transport to your destination, then you may claim reasonable expenses, as set out in our expenses policy here. Claiming through your insurance Although, we don’t cover other costs such as, pre-booked hotel stays in your destination or pre-booked activities, your travel insurance may do. If you require a letter from us to make your claim, you can request this by completing our β€˜contact us form’ and selecting β€˜insurance claim’ from the dropdown menu. You can find out more about your rights following a cancellation, delay or diversion on our delays and cancellations page here. Thank you for your understanding and we hope to welcome you on board again soon. Kind regards,
