Easy Jet are refusing to refund hotel, as we have requested and invoice from hotel they have confirm they do not supply them we have sent booking.com confirmation. Taxis we didn't get a receipt, I haven't claim in this as I feel I have nothing to prove it apart from a bank statement and one was paid cash so no prove Easy jet had no one at the airport to help, it was a nightmare Got him on Saturday two days later at 4pm Airline told us nothing, and provided no care at all didn't even offer a hotel had to locate ourselves and paid for it all. V arty much as our son had crutches and was very stressful for both myself and also my wife waiting at home for us lost money on hotels/taxis/food/drink and another flight home with another airline- Olbia-London

I am writing to formally complain about my travel experience on my easyJet flight from London Gatwick to Rome on 16 July. My flight was scheduled to depart at 6:00 a.m. I arrived at Gatwick Airport with sufficient time to complete all pre-departure formalities. Unfortunately, I encountered exceptionally long security and immigration queues, which significantly delayed my progress through the airport. Throughout the queue, I repeatedly informed airport staff that I was travelling on the 6:00 a.m. easyJet flight to Rome and expressed my concern that I might miss my flight. On each occasion, I was reassured that I should not worry and that I would make my flight. Relying on those repeated assurances, I remained in the queue as directed. However, by the time I reached the boarding gate at approximately 6:01 a.m., the gate had already been closed, and I was denied boarding despite having made every reasonable effort to arrive on time. This was an extremely distressing experience. I had planned my journey responsibly, followed the instructions given by airport staff, and lost the opportunity to travel through circumstances entirely beyond my control. Had I been advised differently, I would have explored alternative arrangements or requested assistance to reach the gate before it closed. I appreciate that airport security and immigration are not directly operated by easyJet. However, as the airline serving passengers at Gatwick, I believe you will be aware of the impact that unusually long security queues can have on passengers. Given the exceptional circumstances and the assurances I received, I respectfully request that easyJet review my case and consider providing appropriate compensation or a goodwill gesture, such as reimbursement of my unused ticket, a travel voucher, or any other form of reasonable resolution. I would appreciate a full review of the circumstances surrounding my missed flight and a written response explaining the outcome of your investigation. Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you and hope we can reach a fair resolution. Yours faithfully, Upe Isabella Obelema Isokariari

We booked and paid for seats 12E & 12F with extra leg room, as I struggle to get into the narrow space between rows of seats, due to restrictions with my mobility. However, when we checked in at Pisa Airport, they told us we couldn't sit in row 12, as I needed Special Assistance and this was an emergency exit row. They then moved us to seats 30E & 30F at the back of the plane, requiring me to walk all the way down to the end of the aircraft. This was totally unacceptable for someone with mobility issues! The stress I experienced with this whole issue, resulted in me going into a big flare up with my fibromyalgia at the airport. This flare up was painfully obvious to the Senior Cabin Crew Member on the flight, who was very kind in offering me extra help. On seeing my limited mobility, he moved my husband and me into row 2 instead, which appeared to be free. As we paid for extra leg room in row 12, but were denied access to those seats, I am claiming compensation for myself and my husband, to the value of these reserved seats, plus additional compensation for the undue stress caused by the whole fiasco, putting me into a 'bad place' with my fibromyalgia. I feel that the additional stress could have been minimalised or even avoided, had the easyjet checkin desk for Special Aasistance, firstly placed us in a more appropriate seat for someone with limited mobility, and secondly requested wheelchair access in a timely way, as I was left there for approximately one hour before someone came to collect me in a wheelchair at 5:07pm.

We have claimed additional flight costs through Easy Jet and asked for taxi fares and food costs to be reimbursed. They stated that we could not claim for the flight cancellation as it was out of their control. We noted that other flights flew to Luton from Larnaca the same day.- Larnaca-London

Influence by other flights
I am writing to summarize our situation regarding an EasyJet flight cancellation, in order to request reimbursement. Background: β’ We were booked on an EasyJet flight from Berlin to Geneva, scheduled to depart at 18:35 on 17 July 2026. β’ This flight was cancelled by EasyJet, and no rebooking or re-routing alternative was offered. β’ This BerlinβGeneva flight was meant to connect with a subsequent GenevaβCopenhagen flight (booked for two days after 19 July). β’ Because of the cancellation, we could not reach Geneva and therefore had no way to make the GenevaβCopenhagen connection either. β’ With no alternative offered by EasyJet, we booked bus tickets ourselves in order to continue our trip and reach Copenhagen, at a cost of 1,098 DKK (Danish kroner). What we are requesting: 1. Standard EU261 cancellation compensation of β¬250 for the cancelled BerlinβGeneva flight, since no advance notice or rebooking was provided. 2. Reimbursement of the additional costs we incurred, namely the bus tickets totaling 1,098 DKK, which we had to book ourselves after EasyJet failed to offer any re-routing option to Copenhagen- Schonefeld-Geneva

We got to the airport on time and it took so long to get through security made us late by the time we got to the gate the aeroplane stairs was still on the plane, but at the desk the guy said to me why are you late? And I said sed due to security and itβs being so busy. And then because I had a bottle of water in my hand, he said while you had time to stop for a drink it couldnβt be not busy and then told me Iβm not getting on and Levi even the other employees looked shocked while he was doing that and then he walked over told him to take the stairs off the plane and that was it. We didnβt get no help. No one come up to us then then we have rebooked tickets which was Β£400 each and I had to wait four hours and go back through security and we are meant to be landing in bristol which is 15 miles from my home instead the only flight we landed in London, which is 200 miles from my home I have anxiety depression and canβt be around people as it is then all that because I had a bottle of water in my hand I donβt see how you had the right to do that. If you check the cameras you see us trying to get through security go as quick as we could, but we got refused and had to so alternative transport which it then cost my left extra hundred pound to come to London to pick us up. It was all a nightmare because a bottle of water.

Problems at airport
Dear easyJet Customer Services, Thank you for your response regarding my regulatory compensation claim for flight 8473 from London Gatwick (LGW) to Zurich (ZRH) on 22 May 2026. I am writing to request a review of your assessment. In your response, you state that the overnight delay was caused by air traffic control restrictions. However, during the entire time we were waiting at the airport, the reason communicated to passengers was crew shortage. This was the information repeatedly given to us at the airport, and at no point was it clearly explained to us that the delay was due to air traffic control restrictions. For this reason, I would kindly ask you to review the case once more before I proceed with the matter through a legal compensation claims organisation and provide a clear explanation of the exact reason for the overnight delay. If the delay was indeed caused by air traffic control restrictions, please provide further details or evidence explaining this, as it does not correspond with the information given to passengers on the day. I would also like to ask for clarification regarding a payment of EUR 66.99 that was refunded to my bank account. I do not understand what this payment refers to. Is it related to my compensation claim, my expenses claim, or something else? I submitted two separate requests: one for regulatory compensation and another for expenses. The expenses I claimed amount to more than EUR 100, so the payment of EUR 66.99 does not correspond clearly with either the compensation claim or the expenses claim. Could you please provide a breakdown explaining: What the EUR 66,99 payment relates to; Whether it is connected to my compensation claim or my expenses claim; Which expenses were accepted or rejected, and why; Whether my regulatory compensation claim has been paid with 66,99 I would appreciate a clear written explanation and a reconsideration of the compensation claim, given that the reason communicated to passengers at the airport was crew shortage. Kind regards, Bubuline SYLA- London-Zurich

Our flight was cancelled due to βair traffic control β thatβs not true , santorni is a small island . Gatwick has prior issues with landing that day our flight was late back and the crew had over worked there shift . It was nothing to do with air traffic control. The next day we was ment to be flying back at 15:15 pm and then we got delayed a further 5 hours and 5 minutes we didnβt get back to the uk until 11:00 pm- Thira-London

The flight arrived on time to Amsterdam from the previous destination, and could have boarded on time for our flight to Stansted. However, there was a delay, and we didn't end up boarding at all. Instead, 30 minutes after the flight was meant to depart, they announced at the gate that it was cancelled because the crew would have gone over their hours. This seems like poor forward planning from EasyJet with their crew's hours rather than 'extraordinary circumstances' of air traffic control delaying them, as they mentioned in their email. For this reason, I would like to have a compensation for the cancelled flight.- Amsterdam-London

The flight EJU5436 from Brussels (BRU) to Milan Linate (LIN) on 15 June was scheduled to depart at 21:15 and arrive at 22:35. Instead, it was diverted to Milan Malpensa (MXP), where it arrived at approximately 02:00, more than three hours after the scheduled arrival time. Passengers were informed by the pilot that the delay was initially caused by the need to replace the aircraft due to a technical problem. Boarding was only completed at approximately 23:50, meaning that the flight had already accumulated the overwhelming majority of the delay before any weather-related restrictions became relevant. While weather conditions and the subsequent closure of Milan Linate may have contributed to the final outcome, they arose only after the flight had already suffered a substantial delay due to a technical issue entirely within easyJet's control. The technical problem was therefore the primary and operative cause of both the delay and the subsequent diversion to Milan Malpensa. Following the diversion, I was forced to incur additional transport costs to reach my final destination. Although easyJet provided a transfer from Malpensa, I had to pay for a taxi home in the middle of the night. This expense was a direct consequence of the diversion, and I therefore request full reimbursement. The taxi receipt is attached. Accordingly, I request: Compensation of β¬250 pursuant to Regulation (EC) No. 261/2004 for the arrival delay exceeding three hours on a flight of less than 1,500 km. Full reimbursement of my taxi expenses incurred as a direct consequence of the diversion to Milan Malpensa. I have attached my boarding pass, and taxi receipt in support of this claim.- Brussels-Milan

I am submitting this claim to explain the circumstances surrounding the cancellation of my EasyJet flight and the significant financial loss and inconvenience it caused. Our flight was cancelled after we had already boarded the aircraft. Once we were on board, a member of the cabin crew informed passengers that the flight would not be operating and advised us to rebook alternative flights, even with another airline if necessary, as there were no immediate EasyJet alternatives available. Our preferred option was to continue our journey with EasyJet. However, we were informed that the next available EasyJet flight was not until Wednesday, which was not a practical option given our travel plans. After being told the flight was cancelled, we then had to wait approximately two hours to have our checked baggage returned to us. During this time, there was little to no communication or assistance from EasyJet. Once we finally collected our luggage, we attempted to speak with an EasyJet representative for advice and assistance, but there were no staff available to help, and it was impossible to get any guidance on our options. With no practical assistance from EasyJet and no suitable alternative flight offered, we had no choice but to make our own arrangements. The only realistic option was to take an Uber to London Heathrow Airport and book replacement flights with EgyptAir in order to reach our destination as close as possible to our original schedule. The replacement EgyptAir flights cost β¬1,918.18, an expense we would never have incurred had EasyJet fulfilled its obligations or provided a suitable alternative. Although we managed to reach our destination, the disruption meant that we lost one night's accommodation at our hotel. Because of the short notice, we were unable to cancel or amend the booking, and we were charged for that night despite arriving later than planned. I have provided the hotel's receipt confirming this charge. The cancellation caused considerable stress, uncertainty, and inconvenience. We spent hours trying to find a solution ourselves with no meaningful support from EasyJet. What should have been a straightforward journey turned into a lengthy and expensive ordeal. To date, EasyJet has only refunded the cost of the cancelled flight (approximately β¬400) and reimbursed the Uber journey. They have not reimbursed the β¬1,918.18 we were forced to spend on replacement flights, nor have they compensated us for the lost hotel night or the disruption we experienced. I have made numerous attempts to contact EasyJet to resolve this matter directly, but despite repeated efforts, I have been unable to obtain a meaningful response or assistance. This lack of communication has left me with no option but to pursue this formal claim. I respectfully request that EasyJet reimburse the reasonable and necessary costs I incurred as a direct result of the flight cancellation, including the replacement flights and the unused hotel accommodation, together with any compensation I am entitled to under applicable passenger rights legislation.

When we were about to boarding the airline company took us out of the gate and said that the cabin crew was in a strike and we didn't know when we'd flight. After some people get agry, they offered us a 18 euros voucher to eat and wait dor news. The time of the delay has changed twice in the app. We finally board two hours after the expected time and we got 3 hours after the time we should have landed in Milan.- Bari-Milano

I sent the same letter that I share with you, Dear EasyJet Customer Relations, I am writing to make a formal complaint regarding a deeply distressing experience on flight EJU8626, Berlin to London, Wednesday 22nd July, 18:20, which resulted in me being wrongfully denied boarding. The sequence of events: Upon arriving at the gate, I waited with all other passengers. The flight was already delayed by approximately two hours due to the absence of a pilot β a situation entirely outside of my control. When boarding commenced, I presented my UK Share Code to a member of your cabin crew. He refused to accept my screenshot of the share code and insisted I access it directly on the website. I complied immediately and presented the share code on the official website within 30 seconds. Despite presenting valid documentation within seconds, the crew member told me it was βtoo lateβ and refused to allow me to board β while other passengers were still actively boarding the aircraft. I have photographic evidence confirming that passengers continued to board after I was turned away. This decision was arbitrary, unreasonable and completely unjustified. The UK Share Code screenshot is widely accepted as valid documentation, and even if a live website check was required, I presented it within 30 seconds while boarding was still in progress. I am requesting: 1. A full refund of my flight ticket 2. Compensation for consequential costs incurred as a result of missing my flight 3. A formal investigation into the conduct of the cabin crew member involved 4. A written explanation of your Share Code acceptance policy I also wish to note that this incident is likely captured on CCTV cameras at the gate, and I have my own photographic evidence showing passengers still boarding after I was denied access. I am fully prepared to pursue this matter further if a satisfactory resolution is not provided. I look forward to your urgent response. Me and my daughters were flying. We went threw bag check okay. But when we went threw passport. We was in a queue. I explained to someone that we had to be checked for our flight as it left in 30mins. They told me to wait. I then asked again in 20mins. I was told I had to wait. After only having 10mins left before my flight left at 10.40. We finally got told to go to the front off the line. There was only x2 people checking passports. We then got threw. Ran with my x2 children all the way. And was told by a lady that boarding was closed. I told the women I had kids and no way off going alone. They told me I had to buy another ticket at Β£190 each. And to go away. I then got very upset and my children cryed. I told her I had no extra money to get another flight and I explained I was stuck in passport control. Even though we was on time and not our fault due to Paris passport workers. A lady who had a radio called the people on the plane and asked if we was okay to board or was we to late. They okay us to do this. We then board the plane. The stress this has coursed me and my kids is awful. Once on the plane I spoke to a man called. BRUNO easy jet staff. I cryed and he told me I did not need to worry and he had no idea why they wouldn't let us on as checkout was still open. He apologised. And told me I need to write a complaint as this is not excepable for easy jet. The women on the desk was rude and awful. She laughed while my kids cryed. Did not care at all.

We got to the airport and it was busy we got though as quick as we could I tried telling them at security my flight is very soon and they didnβt care so we eventually got through security and by time finding the we run all the way and it is quite far from the duty-free to the actual gate we run all the way when we got there the last person was walking onto the plane the stairs are still on it and the guy goes why are you late? And I said weβve got you as quick as you could weβve got through security and we run here because I had a bottle of water in my hand he goes while you had time to stop for a drink so Iβm not letting you on and I said what do you mean? I said I didnβt stop for a drink and at first me and the other staff and my friend thought he was joking and when we realised he was not joking even the other employees raised their eyes raise and for what and then I was saying like come on like the stairs are still on the plane let us go on and he denied his access to the plane went outside told him to move the stairs and due to that we had to go ring family to borrow money to get a flight back we are Β£800 and wait four hours for flight but the first flight we got denied was meant to be landing in bristol the only flight we get was landing in London therefore it was a lot of hassle to get back from London and I suffer with anxiety depression due to be a stabbed in the past and with all that happening to me getting dumped in London that is a lot to deal with there was no need for this he treated me like an idiot. I would get it at a stairs was not on the plane still I will totally get it but not when heβs being a job with for no reason I didnβt give him no attitude. He was just chose to be an absolute jobs with due to that it cost and caused a lot of problems. We werenβt even offered anything to get another plane and the employees next to him for the same as that why is he doing this? We didnβt get nothing no apology. No nothing. Just go let it go sort out own flight. I think heβs out of order how he thinks heβs got the authority to do that to someoneβs got a drink utterly disgusting. Iβm I was stuck in another country with no money and then got landed after lending in London, which is over 200 miles from where I live bristol is only 15 miles from where I live so I think he should be he should have a warning for thinking you could do that to customers

I arrived at Birmingham international airport in plenty of time. Everything there was running late, including the shuttle train; the queues everywhere were enormous, and general information very poor. the flight was cancelled when we were already at the gate. The reason of the cancellation was that some of the crew members did not arrive. We had to travel by bus from Nice to Cannes (which costed 379β¬) because there wasnβt any other alternative that suited us. The next easyjet flight would be in couple of days and we couldnβt do that. Hello Please I was flying at 6:00am and I got to the airport at 4:40 I went to the security pass and the line was long so around 5:10 I went to one of the assistant from the security gate and I asked him, it is possible to pass the gate because my gate is closing very soon which was 5:30 the closing of the Gate. The assistant told me to wait in line and I was trying to tell him that I have to get in because the gate is closing he I did not attend to me. So I was waiting close to him, my the time I went to see the other assistant which was around 5:25am and did not let me in. She was telling that the gate is closed and I was I got there before the time about the other assistant did not let me In invece this woman saw me standing close to the first assistant. She was I can not let you in, she was so so so rude to me, she was taking with me if I was a child. I went to EasyJet office to complain about the situation even the office was surprised about the situation because they are saying they shouldn't do that because I Got the there before 5am just the line was long and they did not make an call out for late customers. Now I have to pay extra 110 pounds to get to the next flight. I have my grandfather in ltaly who is sick from cancer in the hospital that I have to see him before his passing away and this is what happened because somebody is not doing her/his job. Me getting the next flight maybe I can not see my grandfather and also I have to pay an extra 110 pounds for nothing. It is my first time using EasyJey and this what happened. I am not happy about the costumer service at the airport and the way they speak with people. They are making people pay extra money for nothing after they Will tell you to complain from easyjey website if you have an issue. It is very bad. Ryanair will never do that they are costumer they will always try to help you still they can not do anything about it. My brother was telling me EasyJet is good and this is what to me. I am so stressed by the situation.

Problems at airport
We arrived in plenty of time at the airport and were called to embarkation gate b9 for boarding. While awaiting our flight there was a short thunderstorm . According to the flight announcement board there were some minor delays to flights except for the 3 Easyjet flights scheduled for UK which were shown as very delayed. Apart from Easyjet the airport seemed to be operating normally with flights arriving and leaving more or less on time. For example we were moved away from B9 so that the scheduled flight for Casablanca could leave. It seems according to Easyjet's response that for operational reasons they decided to cancel the Bristol and London flights (but not the Manchester one) This must be a regular occurrence in that Easyjet do not plan for normal disruption and delays which other carriers cope with .The cancelation of our flight was purely administative in that they did not adequately plan for replacement crews and aircraft.- Naples-Bristol

Money not refunded, ignoring messages
In process of booking a flight from PRG to AMS, there was a glitch on the platform and the confirmation came for a ticket one day later. Since there was no option for me to fly that day, I immediately cancelled the flight within 1 minute and proceeded to get another flight. I got a notification for a refund issued on the web page and wrote to easy jet to refund the 1,500 fee, since the error was on their side, however I never received a refund of the flight fare or the fee and never heard back from easyjet even though I'm a plus member paying hundreds of euros per year for their "priority program".

Flight EJU8078 from Malaga to London Gatwick was delayed by more than 7 hours. Before making the decision not to travel, I contacted easyJet customer service and spoke with a supervisor, who advised me that I would be entitled to compensation. I relied on that information when making my decision. The delay was so significant that travelling on the delayed flight would have seriously affected my work commitments and made the journey impractical. They are trying to put the blame down to air traffic control and weather when on the flight they explained it was cause the aircraft was late coming back from Malta and then said cause the time curfew could not fly in to Berlin and then said it was cause of staffing saying there aircraft would be stuck there with staff and now saying not getting nothing back Flight out got cancelled cause Sent us in a shared vito to Edinburgh which didnβt get us there till 2am Then had to get up to the airport for 10am airline then didnβt give us the time for taxi to pick us up from hotel to taxi and had to pay for our own taxi to the airport Then our flight in Edinburgh got delayed did not arrive there till 5pm after ment to arrive there for 21:35pm Missed our concert which payed over Β£100 for each Also our hotel then for cancelled because we couldnβt make it as they said it was classed as a no show and had been charged Β£246 with no refund and then had to pay our for another hotel for one night Β£125.48 Now easy jet are not taking no blame for none of this issue which is discusting- Manchester-Schonefeld

After landing, I reported that my suitcase was missing. Initially, I was advised to continue checking the baggage carousel before it was eventually acknowledged that my luggage had not arrived. Throughout the delay, I made repeated efforts to obtain updates, but I received conflicting information about the location of my baggage. One easyJet representative informed me that my suitcase had arrived at the airport, which led me to remain nearby and wait for collection, while other staff members, the baggage handling team, and the tracking information indicated that it could not be located. This left me unsure of where my luggage was, when I would be able to collect it, and resulted in additional stress, uncertainty, and disruption during my holiday.

We were informed by the airline on the night before our flight that there would be a strike in Italy, possibly affecting our flight and to check regularly for updates regarding the flight. The following morning, there were no updates from the airline, regarding a change to the flight time, so we headed to the airport as planned. Our flight was to originally depart at 12:20 p.m. from Athens airport, heading to Milan Malpensa. When we arrived at the airport there still was no update about the flight, on the departing panels there was a general information that the flight would be late. On the airline app there was no change, we just received a message mentioning that there would be a delay, but we should still go to our gate because the flight could depart at any time. To the gate mentioned on the board, there was another flight leaving so we had to go, we didnβt know where to wait for our flight and we had no update from the airline, as they should have. After long hours of wait, they boarded us on the plane at 16:00, and they had us all wait inside the crowded and not comfortable airplane for an hour and a half, as we eventually departed around 17:30. Due to all of the above, and the lack of updates from the airline, we couldnβt make it to our original destination on time, which was Como city and as a result we lost our accommodation there, an amount of 190β¬ that was already paid and we couldnβt get a refund, as it was last minute. We also were obligated to book extra accommodation in Milan, which amounted to 124β¬ extra. I believe that we should get the compensation we deserve for all the above, as apart from the strike circumstances the airline was not well prepared and didnβt offer the necessary briefing.- Athens-Milano

We arrived at the check in gate and were not allowed to board the plane despite the flight being delayed by 17 minutes. It was due to leave at 7am and never left until 7:17 yet they would not let us board the flight despite being at the gate for 6:30am and having had a very sudden close family bereavement this morning this was a very upsetting situation & the woman at the desk was so very unhelpful. We ended up havung to book alternative flights & the people at the check in desks were much more accommodating allowing us to have cases rechecked free of charge as a gesture of good will as those at the gate were ridiculous and not understanding at all.

we boarded the plane and it was delayed for an hour due to someoneβs suitcase wrongfully put on our plane. i understand mistakes happen however when we arrived at las palmas airport multiple people was left without a suitcase. we were told to file a report and wait. this caused me distress as i had important medication in my suitcase. it took 2 days to arrive which left us spending over β¬200 on things we need.

The airline was so kind to assist us on that day to change the flight but a day after, they also provided the hotel and some assistance for the transport to London. However, I had to pay for some transport expense and coming to Luton airport by train was expensive only to have a cancelled flight. Total cost of transport 65.2 Β£. I also had to spend some hotels that are cancelled because I could not make it on time 83.5 Β£ .- London-Catania

After having a horrible time being held waiting at the airport for 6 hours with Easyjet's delay, only to be told to come back the next morning, losing a day of our holiday. They told us to book ourselves accommodation for the night through the easyjet application, but the app wasnt working for anyone. In the end they booked everyone a random hotel, gave us the name and the address and told to get a taxi, which they will reimburse. After the holiday we tried to fill out their own claim form, only to receive the response that they couldnt find our details. Their own system through their website and through the application is seemingly against making claims.- London-Heraklion

I donβt have any clothes, skin care or toiletries now and I have to buy them again, which totally disturbed my travel plan and waste my time and money on shopping the things I have and not needed if the luggage was not delayed. To be honest, this destroys my entire holiday and extremely annoyed me. I can not believe that they even forgot to bring my luggage on the plane with the 3 hours delay
