At final destination arrived at 23:01, the airline didn’t mention any information all but it was an engine issue, the airline didn’t provide any vouchers or refreshments or food, items missed my initial train to get back home instead of arriving home at 21:33 I got home at 1:03, I lost some money for buying food and drinks at airport and repurchasing a train ticket with a valid timestamp

I would like to request your assistance in pursuing compensation under EU Regulation 261/2004 for the delayed easyJet flight EJU1737 from Nice (NCE) to Athens (ATH) on 22 June 2026. Passengers: β€’ Ioannis Theodoridis β€’ Vasileios Karafotias β€’ Smaragda Chortaria β€’ Chrysoula Kapnoula Our flight arrived in Athens with a delay of approximately 3 hours and 46 minutes. We first submitted a compensation claim directly to easyJet, but it was rejected on the grounds of air traffic control restrictions. We would appreciate it if you could review our case and determine whether the delay was genuinely caused by extraordinary circumstances or whether it was a reactionary (knock-on) delay that may still qualify for compensation under EU Regulation 261/2004. Attached you will find: β€’ easyJet's rejection email, β€’ boarding passes, β€’ photographs showing the departure delay at Nice Airport and the actual arrival time in Athens. We would be grateful if you could assess our case and, if appropriate, represent us in pursuing compensation. Thank you for your time and assistance. Kind regards, Ioannis Theodoridis On behalf of all four passengers *easyJet Answer to us the below Dear IOANNIS, thank you for getting in touch. We’re very sorry that your flight from NCE to ATH was DELAY We always review claims fairly and in keeping with EU/UK regulation. We know how frustrating delays can be. We always aim to provide the best possible experience when flying with us, however, from time-to-time situations arise which are outside of our control and unfortunately when this happens we are unable to offer compensation. To further explain what happened on the day; air traffic control restrictions substantially regulated the air space, which resulted in long delays to flights as aircraft waited for air space β€˜slots’ to operate, sometimes for several hours. The delays continued throughout the day and knocked on to later flights. We do take reasonable measures to avoid delays and cancellations to our flights by having replacement crews and spare aircraft available in our network. In the circumstances, these options were not possible as the delay to this flight was as a direct result of air traffic control restrictions. Claiming expenses If you incurred additional expenses in NCE on the day when the flight was cancelled, delayed, or diverted. e.g you were asked to find a hotel room for the night of a cancelled flight, or onwards transport to your destination, then you may claim reasonable expenses, as set out in our expenses policy here. Claiming through your insurance Although, we don’t cover other costs such as, pre-booked hotel stays in your destination or pre-booked activities, your travel insurance may do. If you require a letter from us to make your claim, you can request this by completing our β€˜contact us form’ and selecting β€˜insurance claim’ from the dropdown menu. You can find out more about your rights following a cancellation, delay or diversion on our delays and cancellations page here. Thank you for your understanding and we hope to welcome you on board again soon. Kind regards, easyJet Customer Services

On 12 February 2026, I was denied boarding by easyJet for flight EJU5364 from Marsa Alam to Berlin. At the airport, I was verbally informed that there was an issue with my Schengen stay because my passport did not contain exit stamps to demonstrate that I had previously left the Schengen Area. I explained to the easyJet representative that I had departed the Schengen Area from Amsterdam to the United Kingdom on 22 November 2025 aboard easyJet flight EZY5708, provided the flight number and booking reference, and requested that this be verified using easyJet's own records. I then waited for over two hours while the matter was investigated, but I was given no meaningful opportunity to assist further, received no written explanation for the refusal at the time, and was ultimately escorted from the airport by security. The denied boarding caused significant disruption, including the loss of onward travel arrangements and additional expenses. Following the incident, easyJet stated that the refusal was based on a determination that I had exceeded the Schengen 90/180-day rule and on the absence of departure stamps, describing my documentation as "insufficient or invalid." However, easyJet has not identified any published policy or legal requirement requiring a passenger to possess physical exit stamps as the sole means of demonstrating compliance with the Schengen 90/180 rule. While my passport does not contain exit stamps for my departures from Amsterdam, I hold official digital records and airline records evidencing those journeys, which I have provided in support of my compliance with the relevant travel history. I have also supplied a complete timeline of my travel during the relevant 180-day period, copies of my passport pages, and official supporting evidence, including Peru Migraciones (TAM Virtual) records confirming my arrival in Peru after departing Amsterdam. I explained these travel movements to the airport representative at the time and provided my easyJet flight details and booking reference so they could be verified internally and conclude I had verifiably left Europe during the said duration, yet there is no indication that this information was properly verified before boarding was refused. Alongside my complaint, I have submitted a Subject Access Request under Article 15 UK GDPR, seeking all internal reports, communications, operational records, and any communications with German border authorities relating to the decision to deny me boarding so that the basis for that decision can be independently assessed. My verifiable departure, confirming I had not come close to overstaying my Schengen limit, was made using the same airline that denied my boarding, but this information was not taken into account despite being what should have been a very quick record check. My onward travel arrangements were also met with disruption (ADR # 663608) and thus, my travel disruptions caused by easyjet stretched over a two day period, causing many logistical and financial problems as well as stress.

Problems at airport

We got no notification ahead of arriving at the airport and the first written communication we had with easyJet in relation to the cancelled flight was at the end of January. There were no next day flights home. We were left to organise our return home ourselves as their were not direct flights with easyJet until the following Thursday which was no good and they disappeared and the next one was a week later. We were told to book accommodation and flights through the app but this was not possible. I booked one night via booking.com and paid for two more nights in cash. Technical problems

No alternative flight was offered within the subsequent 72 hours. Instead, airline staff advised us of the option to independently purchase tickets with another carrier, with the understanding that reimbursement could be requested at a later stage. However, only one night of hotel accommodation and the taxi transfer from the airport to the hotel were reimbursed. Expenses related to meals and refreshments were not covered. The cancellation of the flight was attributed to operational reasons. Under Regulation (EC) No 261/2004, passengers are entitled to specific rights in the event of flight cancellations. In particular: Pursuant to Article 5 and Article 8, passengers must be offered a choice between reimbursement of the ticket or re-routing at the earliest opportunity, under comparable transport conditions. Under Article 9 (Right to Care), the airline is obligated to provide meals and refreshments in a reasonable relation to the waiting time, as well as hotel accommodation where a stay of one or more nights becomes necessary, and transport between the airport and the place of accommodation. Additionally, where the cancellation is due to operational reasons (which are generally considered within the airline’s control), passengers may also be entitled to compensation under Article 7, unless extraordinary circumstances can be demonstrated. In this case, the absence of re-routing within a reasonable timeframe, along with the failure to reimburse meal expenses, appears to be inconsistent with the obligations established under EU261/2004. As a result of this situation, we incurred approximately €900 in additional expenses, which have not been fully reimbursed. Only one night at the hotel and one taxi.

No reason given

Our flight was scheduled to depart at 7:00 pm, but after joining the boarding queue we received no updates from easyJet staff. Despite repeatedly asking for information, no explanation was given, and the departure screens showed no delay. We were only informed at approximately 9:30 pm that the flight had been cancelled. My cousin had an onward flight the next day, but easyJet failed to provide a suitable alternative. While package holiday customers were offered replacement flights, the rest of us were told to make our own arrangements. As a result, my cousin missed her flight and had to pay Β£183 for a new ticket. After the cancellation, we waited another two hours to collect our luggage and did not leave the airport until around 11:00 pm. We also had to hire a rental car for Β£36. The lack of communication, delayed cancellation notice, and poor assistance caused unnecessary stress, financial loss, and inconvenience. I expect reimbursement for my additional expenses and appropriate compensation.

Unacceptable change to flight time

two weeks after booking flights to Prague for January 2027, an email from Easyjet tells me our return flight has been changed - brought forward by 6 hrs 45 mins, so that we are now leaving our hotel at c.7am and having to cancel any plans we had for that final morning. It's not that Easyjet do not have history (we suffered a double whammy in April - delay the flight out by a couple of hours, and similar on the way back) but this is ridiculous. And finding a way to speak to someone about it ? best of luck. Yep, I'm complaining ahead of what feels like an inevitable change to the flight out that will follow! Feels like misleading info on website.

I was travelling with my wife and our two children, aged 3 and 5. We waited in the check-in queue for approximately one hour, where only one staff member appeared to be serving passengers. I reached the counter at around 05:55 for the 06:35 flight. The check-in agent refused to check us in, stating that check-in had already closed. She claimed an announcement had been made for Gatwick passengers to come forward, but neither I, my wife, who was standing near the counter with our children, nor the passenger in front of me heard any such announcement. I explained that security was still open and boarding had not yet started, and I pleaded for assistance as we were travelling with two young children after very little sleep. However, the agent refused to help or discuss any solution. As a result, my family was left stranded and extremely distressed. Our children were crying and we had no immediate assistance available. I was forced to purchase alternative one-way flights to London the same day at a cost of Β£1,545.10.The replacement journey required travel via Paris, including a lengthy self-transfer and several additional hours of travel.

Claim escalated to airline

Our easyJet flight departed from London Gatwick as scheduled and proceeded to Madeira. Upon arrival in the vicinity of Funchal Airport, the captain announced that the aircraft would not be landing due to wind conditions. However, it appeared that other aircraft were landing at Madeira around the same time, both before and after our arrival. Furthermore, no meaningful landing attempt appeared to be made before the decision was taken to divert the aircraft to Tenerife, approximately 1.5 hours away from Madeira. After landing in Tenerife, passengers were kept onboard the aircraft for approximately three hours. During this period: We were not permitted to leave the aircraft. We were not provided with adequate food or refreshments. We were not provided with proper information regarding our situation or onward travel arrangements. We were not offered accommodation or any meaningful assistance. After several hours, easyJet provided only a small packet of crisps and a glass of water. When I requested a sealed bottle of water and a sandwich, I was required to pay for them myself. Eventually, easyJet decided not to continue the journey to Madeira and instead returned the aircraft and passengers to London Gatwick. Failure to Provide Assistance During this disruption, easyJet failed to provide the level of care and assistance required under applicable passenger rights legislation. The entire ordeal lasted approximately 12 hours before we arrived back in the United Kingdom. I suffer from three herniated discs and prolonged confinement in an aircraft seat caused significant physical pain and discomfort. Despite the circumstances, no special assistance or support was provided. Prior to arrival at Gatwick, passengers were informed that assistance would be available. However, upon arrival, no assistance was present. My partner and I approached easyJet staff seeking re-routing options. We were informed that easyJet had no available flights to Madeira until the following week. We also received no offer of hotel accommodation, meals, refreshments, transport assistance, or any practical support. We informed easyJet that seats were available with other airlines operating flights to Madeira and requested re-routing. easyJet refused to arrange alternative transportation through another carrier. Self-Funded Alternative Travel As easyJet failed to provide a reasonable re-routing solution, my partner and I were forced to make our own arrangements in order to reach our destination. This included: Purchasing train tickets to Stansted Airport. Purchasing replacement airline tickets with Ryanair. Paying for meals, refreshments, and other necessary expenses during the disruption. Incurring additional travel costs directly resulting from easyJet's failure to transport us to our destination. From the moment our flight was diverted until we finally arrived in Madeira, we received no meaningful assistance from easyJet. We were effectively abandoned and left to resolve the situation at our own expense. In total, we were delayed approximately 41 hours in reaching our final destination. The consequences of easyJet's actions extended far beyond the flight disruption itself. The purpose of our trip was a pre-planned holiday in Madeira, for which we had made and paid for numerous arrangements in advance including accomodation(Β£1400), car rental, activities etc Claim I respectfully request that AirAdvisor pursue the following on our behalf: Statutory passenger compensation, where applicable under UK261/EC261 regulations. Reimbursement of replacement flight costs. Reimbursement of train transportation costs. Reimbursement of food and refreshment expenses. Reimbursement of any accommodation and related expenses incurred. Reimbursement of all other reasonable expenses resulting directly from the disruption. Any additional compensation or remedies available under applicable passenger rights legislation. I have retained receipts and supporting documentation for the expenses incurred and can provide these upon request. Given the extent of the disruption, the lack of care provided, the refusal to offer reasonable re-routing, and the significant delay in reaching our destination, I request that this claim be pursued in full. Dear EasyJet Customer Relations, I am making a formal complaint regarding the treatment of my uncle, who has a learning disability and severe epilepsy. My uncle is unable to read and understand information independently and requires additional support when travelling. During his journey, he was seen by three members of EasyJet staff and was taken to a separate room. Unfortunately, after being taken there, he was left unattended and forgotten about. As a result, he missed his flight. Given his disabilities, he was unable to navigate the airport, understand what was happening, or seek appropriate assistance for himself. We believe that reasonable support and supervision should have been provided once staff became aware of his vulnerabilities and took responsibility for assisting him. This incident caused significant distress and disruption. We would like a full investigation into what happened, why he was left unattended after being taken away by staff, and what steps EasyJet will take to resolve this matter. Please treat this as a formal complaint and provide a written response. Yours faithfully,

Easyjet flight left without 80% of its passengers after not being able to get passed the new EES system. They refused any help at 1st, then they were "its not our fault " then they offered us a return flight on the 18th April, a whole week later. Next they're excuse was the flight crew were running out of flying time. It might not of been Easyjets fault, but it wasn't ours either. We had to find our own way back to the UK. Technical problems

We were standing in the queue to get on board and ten minutes before boarding they announced that our flight has been canceled for technical reasons. We got panicked and until we figure out that the airline does not help, their customer service kept saying that we should look on the the Easyjet app for any updates of the cancelation. We found out that they don't even find accommodation for us, we had to book a 3star hotel ourselves that my parents paid from their pocket and that they will refund us the money of everything we spent. No one of their employees knew how to treat that situation they all kept telling us we should look on the app, where there were also no updates to give any solutions to their customers. Horrible customer service and help at the airport too. When we spoke to a representer of Easyjet who supposetely knew more, he exchused the fact of the cancelation as "These are low cost flights". That was the answer he gave us opon our frustration and hustle. Until we figure that we have to book new flights on the spot, which costed us 1743chf, all the other direct flights for the next day were already sold out by the others. Easyjet did not even care to send us an email, suggesting hotels around the airport or to even book us a room and to rebook us for the next coming flight to Athens. 0 communication and care for the guests and what happens to them after the cancelation, they just canceled and gave us no solution too. Leaving is just with the option to get such expensive tickets for a transfer flight to Vienna and then from Vienna to Athens, which is also the double hustle as you may understand. Horrible customer service, horrible attitude, and disgustingly not caring about their customers. We lost so much money and time because of EasyJet, I had 4 days in Greece to enjoy off from my work, and because of this hustle I could only travel for 2 days instead. Easyjet took my money and my time and be very careful and considerate of you want to travel with them. They may have cheap flights as their way to attract customers, but in truth, within the hustle they will make you go through because of their either delays or last minute cancelations , in the end you will surely end up paying a ton more than you actually expected. Also, when something like that happens their customer service will not give any solutions, but instead they will tell you to look on the app, for any updates, which there were none at the time. Be advised to book with them at your own risk. I am never ever ever booking with this company again because they are a total fraud and the most important thing is how the treated the situation after they last minute canceled the flight. I never felt as helpless as at that time, EasyJet simply does not care about what happens to their customers after putting them in this trouble. If you are thinking of flying with them, you might have to rethink you decision very wisely because there is a high percentage of chance that you might not be able to fly!

I am a diabetic patient and the long delay without proper assistance caused me significant medical distress. I was unable to manage my blood sugar levels properly due to lack of food at the right time and the stress of waiting. This put my health at serious risk. As a direct result of your delay, I also missed my scheduled train at 00:00 arrived too late for work and could not attend my shift on time. This caused me professional damage in addition to the physical suffering.

There is a strike today in Lisbon and some flights were cancelled ahead of time. However that was not the case for ours so we came to the airport. We got a gate number and they cancelled our flight 10 minutes before the supposed take-off time. They sent an email providing options for flights only 3 days after, or reimbursement. This was heavily inconvenient because they could have given the heads up before, so we did not have to come to the airport to get our flight cancelled next to the gate.

Compensation Claim under EU Regulation 261/2004 – Flight Cancellation

My original flight, operated by EasyJet, was scheduled to depart on 4 January to Sharm el-Sheikh. I was informed that the flight had been cancelled and was rebooked on a replacement flight departing on 7 January β€” a delay of three days. As the cancellation resulted in my arriving at my final destination more than three hours later than originally scheduled, I am entitled to compensation of €600 under Article 7 of EU Regulation 261/2004. I therefore request that EasyJet pay me €600 in compensation at your earliest convenience. Please confirm receipt of this claim and provide a response within 14 days.

I had a work meeting that exactly on 22/05/2026 in the morning And I was completely exhausted by the disruption it caused me. My mental health was totally shaken. I arrived at the hotel in Milan at 3:30 in the morning. My presentation was awful because of the disruption 😭 I was totally shaken, my work was affected. My mental health was shaken! I never imagined arriving to board and simply not being able to board due to a lack of seats. I'm still recovering from such a huge disruption! A total lack of respect 😭

Strike

The flight was cancelled for the 3rd of June 2026. The flights available for replacement were in different dates, and the same date ones required 1 stop in a different country. From 3h flight would go up to 9h flight. I have requested a refund which they have returned only Β£241.40. We had a return flight that was in total Β£620including bags. Half would be expected but easyJet did not return half the amount spent. Another flight was bought through jet2.com that flight was Β£363.27. This flight was for 4people. Myself, my partner and our 2 children.

When at the airport after sitting for hours the flight turned up. They let us to gate and said sorry the flights been cancelled.due to staff working too many hours. Surely first they were aware of this secondly I feel thatv8s there fault by providing staff that they were aware before the plane departed from England to collect us that they were fully aware staff would of worked to there allowed hours . We were then sat at airport . Not told anything and in the end they gave us an air b and b type place that wasn't fit for purpose . There was no fire alarms wires hanging out of walls no carbon monoxide sensors .the place was completely uninhabitable. I had to pay for air b and b and all expenses to do with that to get out of the place. I have all photos of the apartment type place they gave us . With young kids. This is the worse experience we have ever had in our life. How they can saybis for circumstances out of there control and then give such poor customer service is disgusting and we will never fly with them again. We finally arrived at Gatwick at 1430 the airline only told us the next day after cancellation that we had a flight the day after. The only care they provided was the apartment that was unsafe and uninhabitable. This has caused such a disruption to missed doctors appointments and missed a day of school for children . I had to fund everything else myself . Taxis food water air b and b upset children .stuck outside an airport until 4am and it was cold . Lumbering all luggage . Terrible experience with children

I was denied boarding because my passport is valid till 11 July 2026. I was going to Paris to meet family for 2 days returning Wednesday 27th May on Air France Flight 1706. I had booked a hotel as well. the airline said I could not board because EU rules are to have 3 months on your passport. I did not receive any notice, alert or message when i booked the ticket and provided my passport number and expiration date. Nor did the airline provide any message, alert or notice when I checked in online and provided my passport number and expiration date. the airline did not provide any care. I was hugely inconvenienced by arranging and paying for a flight, hotel and return flight. I missed the event of being with family in Paris and lost out of $567.18. I have not canceled the return flight from Paris. I still have to notify Air France I can not be on the flight.

Technical problems

Part of the passengers were already through the seat (and passport) control, when everything stopped. We waited for about 3 hours, without any communication. The flight was off the informationboard. Then the lady who had checked seats and passports informed me that the flight was cancelled. So I booked another flight (at another airline as Easyjet wasn't flying the next day) for the next morning and left the airport. When I arrived the next morning I found out that in the end the plane had left at 11 o'clock in the evening. And I have never received any message. So I had to pay € 175 for a new ticket and incurred cost for taxi and one night (I don't have receipts). I have been in contact with Easyjet immediately and they have had me waiting, although I have frequently mailed, until today to inform me that I get my ticketprice back. That is it.

Technical problems

Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against easyJet concerning the cancellation of my flight and the airline’s subsequent refusal to pay the compensation provided under EU Regulation (EC) No. 261/2004. The flight was delayed overnight by easyJet, and the airline has refused to compensate the €400 compensation owed, alleging that the cancellation was due to force majeure, specifically low temperatures (around –20Β°C) in Rovaniemi. This justification is clearly unfounded for the following reasons: Temperatures around –20Β°C are entirely normal and foreseeable in Rovaniemi, particularly during the winter season. Such conditions cannot reasonably be considered extraordinary or force majeure in this context. The pilot explicitly stated (in a video recorded at the airport) that the cause of the cancellation was a technical fault of the aircraft, which is explicitly not considered an extraordinary circumstance under established EU case law and Regulation 261/2004. As a result of the cancellation, passengers were accommodated in a hotel, but we were only able to go to bed at approximately 02:00 a.m. and had to wake up early the following morning, resulting in significant inconvenience and fatigue. No compensation or reimbursement was offered for taxi expenses, despite these being incurred as a direct consequence of the cancellation and the airline’s duty of care obligations. Based on the above, it is evident that: The cancellation was caused by a technical issue under the airline’s responsibility; The refusal to pay compensation is not compliant with EU Regulation 261/2004; easyJet has failed to fully meet its obligations regarding passenger care and expense reimbursement. I respectfully request that the Civil Aviation Authority review this case and take the appropriate action to ensure compliance with EU passenger rights legislation. I have attached all the documentation, including booking details, correspondence with the airline, and the video statement from the pilot confirming the technical nature of the issue. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your response. Yours faithfully, Marco Conservo
