Adding more stop with more time without refund
1. BACKGROUND AND TIMELINE Original Itinerary: Oslo (OSL) → Warsaw (WAW) → Riyadh (RUH) – one stop only Original Travel Date: 7 August 2026 Passengers: 6 (4 adults, 2 children aged over 7) Notification of Cancellation: 24 July 2026 (14 days before departure, no reason provided, no alternative offered at that time) 2. SEQUENCE OF EVENTS On 24 July 2026, LOT cancelled our return flight from Oslo to Riyadh without providing a reason or an alternative routing. I immediately requested re-routing under EC261 Article 8(1)(b), demanding a one-stop connection comparable to the original itinerary. LOT initially offered a two-stop routing, which I formally rejected as a breach of "comparable transport conditions." LOT imposed a two-stop routing (Oslo → Warsaw → Cairo → Riyadh) with the statement: "It must be routed via Warsaw and Cairo. No exceptions to this procedure can be made." Faced with no realistic alternative within a short time frame and travelling with a family of six, I was forced to accept this materially inferior routing. 3. THE ACCEPTED ALTERNATIVE ROUTING (FORCED UPON US) Original itinerary: 1 stop, total journey time approximately 9–10 hours. Forced alternative: 2 stops, total journey time approximately 25+ hours (including an overnight layover in Cairo). Net degradation: +1 additional stop, +15 hours of additional travel time, overnight layover requiring hotel accommodation. I am claiming compensation for the material degradation of our journeyOverall

we were supposed to arrive on the 27th of july at 03:00 in cairo, but we arrived on the 28th of july around 12:00 midday. we called lot airlines a few times, even my family that was in egypt contacted them, but they didn’t tell us why it got cancelled and told us the problem now wasn’t theirs anymore, even though our baggage wasn’t loaded in on their behalf and we had to explain our story to so many people on schiphol airport before they could board us, which wasn’t our duty. we were stuck in paris, our baggage was in amsterdam, we slept there and we had to pay for food and drinks while the food spots weren’t even open 24/7, which caused alot of stress- Amsterdam-Cairo

Both the departure and the arrival flights were cancelled and nobody at the airport was willing to help and were told that we had to call ourselves to the LOT help service desk to get a rebooking and now I have received a bill of 1100€ from my phone calls because it was outside the Netherlands but I had no choice but to call otherwise I would be Stuck there with nobody and no money. Very disappointed and arrived later than planned by the invitation.- Riyadh-Brussels

Our original direct flight from Rome to Krakow (1:00 PM departure, 3:05 PM arrival) was cancelled approximately two hours before departure, at around 11:00 AM. We were rebooked onto a connecting itinerary via Warsaw (LO304 and LO3911), departing around 9:00 PM, resulting in a delay of approximately 8 hours. During this time, no assistance, care, or support was provided by the airline. We were left at Rome airport for the entire duration with six pieces of luggage. As a result, we incurred additional expenses, including luggage storage, transportation (Uber) to leave and return to the airport, and meals (lunch and dinner). Upon arrival in Krakow, one of our checked bags was lost. We were not given clear information about its location and had to wait at the airport without answers. This further delayed our arrival to our hotel (Holiday Inn Krakow) until approximately 1:00–1:30 AM. The baggage was only recovered the following day, requiring additional effort and transportation to retrieve it. Due to the late arrival, we were unable to rest properly and missed a pre-booked tour scheduled for 5:20 AM, resulting in the loss of a full day planned in Krakow, since we were meant to arrive at 3 PM on July 23 of july. Additionally, we sent an email to LOT AIRLINES, and they never responded. This situation caused significant inconvenience, stress, and financial loss.- Rome-Krakow

Subject: Formal Claim for Regulation (EC) 261/2004 Compensation & Expenses – Booking Ref: X3V62R Dear LOT Polish Airlines Customer Care Team, I am writing to formally submit a claim for compensation and expense reimbursement on behalf of four (4) passengers, following a major disruption caused by LO484 on our journey from Oslo to Tokyo Incident Summary: On our outbound journey, our feeder flight (LO484) from Oslo to Warsaw was significantly delayed due to airline operational issues (specifically, understaffing and aircraft conditions relating to heat). Because of this initial delay, we missed our connecting flight (LO79) from Warsaw to Tokyo. As a result of this disruption, our arrival at our final destination was delayed by two full days. This multi-day delay caused severe cascading issues, including the forfeiture of our prepaid Taxi transport, the cancellation/loss of our original hotel booking, and significant stress. Furthermore, upon being rebooked, our original seating arrangement (where our family was seated together) was disregarded, and we were involuntarily separated. To compound these issues, during our return journey, we faced an additional 40-minute delay at check-in because LOT Polish Airlines staff failed to properly log our checked baggage onto our reissued tickets. Our Formal Claims Pursuant to Regulation (EC) No 261/2004 and established passenger rights, we demand the following reimbursements and compensation: - EU261 Compensation: €600 per passenger for a long-haul flight delay exceeding 4 hours, totaling €2,400 for the 4 passengers. - Replacement Accommodation: NOK 30,092.92 (€2,729.67) for the new hotel booking required due to the two-day delay (Agoda receipt attached). - Prepaid Transport Losses: NOK 877.00 (€79.55) for the missed Klook airport transfer that we were unable to utilize due to the flight delay (Klook receipt attached).- Oslo-Tokyo

They basically cancelled the flight right before boarding without any explanation. We had to go back to the city and return several hours later to catch another flight which ended up also been delayed and making us miss the connection flight to Porto. We had to stay overnight in Zurich and board the next day. Horrible experience.- Riga-Porto

Customer Harassment,Blackmailing
Subject: Formal Complaint: Passenger Harassment and Discriminatory Service - Booking ID: TJ1171176249211 (PNR: A7IJT4) To the Customer Relations Department, LOT Polish Airlines, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the unprofessional, harassing, and discriminatory treatment I experienced at the hands of your ground staff at the boarding counter during my recent travel from India to Canada on June 27, 2026 (Flight LO 72). As a regular premium-class traveler who frequently flies with carriers such as Lufthansa, Air India, Air Canada, and others, I have never encountered such egregious behavior. My travel was specifically undertaken for ongoing spinal treatment, a fact that makes the events of this day particularly distressing. **The Incident** Upon checking in at the Premium/Business counter, the boarding agent, identified as Rubina Malik, persistently pressured me to upgrade my ticket to business class. When I declined, citing that I did not require an upgrade, the agent’s demeanor shifted, and she began aggressively targeting my carry-on luggage (bags and laptop bag). While my bags were within standard limits when weighed at home, the agent’s scale indicated an excess of only 2.5 kg. Instead of providing the professional courtesy or typical flexibility often afforded to premium passengers, she demanded an exorbitant fee of ₹20,000. When I politely explained the discrepancy and requested the standard consideration for a premium passenger, she stated, "If you upgrade your ticket to business class by paying ₹50,000, then I will let your luggage pass." **Health Impact and Negligence** Given this ultimatum, I was forced to dump essential items from my luggage to meet her demands. As no staff offered assistance, I had to physically maneuver these heavy bags by myself. This unnecessary physical exertion caused severe aggravation to my spinal injury. Even after I returned to the counter having discarded my belongings, the same agent targeted my spine support belt, claiming it added an additional 1 kg of weight. It was only after a senior staff member intervened and acknowledged that premium passengers are entitled to standard weight tolerances that I was finally permitted to board. **Conclusion and Expectations** The conduct of your ground staff was not only unprofessional but border-lined on extortion. By using my luggage as leverage to force an unwanted ticket upgrade, your agent knowingly placed a passenger with a documented medical condition at risk of physical harm. Due to the acute pain caused by this incident, I was forced to consume heavy painkillers to endure the long-haul flight, which should have been a period of recovery. I am requesting: 1. A formal investigation into the conduct of Rubina Malik and the staff present at the counter on June 27, 2026. 2. A written explanation as to why an upgrade was used as a condition to waive a marginal weight discrepancy. 3. Appropriate compensation for the physical trauma and distress caused by this ordeal. I trust that LOT Polish Airlines values its premium passengers and will take the necessary steps to ensure this type of predatory behavior does not occur again. I look forward to your prompt response regarding this matter. Sincerely, Jatinderjit Singh Guron Booking ID: TJ1171176249211 PNR: A7IJT4Overall

Problems at airport
Lot airlines violated EU 216 Here's a clear, factual, and persuasive description you can use for LOT, the DOT, or another complaint process. On July 18, I was scheduled to travel on LOT Polish Airlines from JFK Airport to Warsaw (Booking Reference: YZ4QFV), with an original departure time of 5:40 p.m. Passengers experienced significant delays before departure. After being rushed through boarding, we remained waiting for an extended period and were ultimately confined onboard the aircraft for more than five hours on the tarmac before the flight was canceled. During this prolonged delay, passengers were not provided with adequate food or drinking water despite being confined to the aircraft for hours. We were left without basic accommodations or meaningful communication regarding the status of the flight. I have video evidence documenting the duration of the delay and the conditions onboard. After the flight was canceled, I was not provided with hotel accommodations, taxi transportation, or adequate assistance with rebooking. Instead, I was forced to make my own arrangements and incur additional expenses. To make matters worse, the replacement flight I was booked on was also canceled, causing further disruption, additional stress, and financial loss. As a result, I incurred hotel expenses and was ultimately forced to purchase a business-class ticket in order to continue my journey. This experience caused significant emotional distress, inconvenience, and unnecessary financial hardship. I am requesting reimbursement for my hotel expenses, reimbursement for the additional transportation costs I incurred, appropriate compensation for the handling of this disruption, and a travel voucher in recognition of the unacceptable treatment I experienced. I respectfully request that LOT Polish Airlines conduct a full review of this incident and provide a fair resolution. I have retained video evidence, receipts, and supporting documentation and am prepared to provide them upon request.- New York-Warsaw

I missed my scheduled connecting flight to Kraków. I was rebooked by LOT onto a later flight. As a result, I arrived at my final destination in Kraków at approximately 21:01 instead of the scheduled arrival time of 17:50, resulting in a delay of 3 hours and 11 minutes. At the time of travel, I was participating in the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange project “GameShift: Navigating Change through Play” as a participant. This disruption had a significant impact on our group's travel. Due to the late arrival, we were unable to use public transportation, tickets for which were purchased in advance (lost 26 euros) to reach the project venue in Biały Dunajec. Consequently, we had no reasonable option other than arranging a taxi to transport the delegation to the project venue. The cost of this necessary transportation was 691,75 PLN, and the receipts were attached in my complaint for Lot airlines. Since the delay at my final destination exceeded three hours, I requested compensation of €250 in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 261/2004. Reimbursement of the documented taxi expense of 691.75 PLN to the group leader, Andrii Shapovalov, incurred as a direct consequence of the flight disruption and missed connection. Attached were copies of my booking confirmation, boarding passes, and any other relevant travel documents. And my claim for compensation was rejected.- Tallinn-ulemiste International-Krakow
