Dear Ryanair Customer Relations, I am writing to lodge a formal complaint regarding the treatment of my sister, Tayma Dahbar, who was denied boarding on Flight FR6985 from Barcelona (BCN) to Rome Fiumicino (FCO) on 27 July 2026 under Booking Reference Q3VTGA. We are extremely disappointed and distressed by the way this incident was handled and respectfully request that Ryanair conduct a thorough investigation. From the very beginning of our interaction, the supervisorβs attitude was, in our experience, discourteous, dismissive, and unprofessional. Rather than listening to our explanation or attempting to resolve the situation calmly and fairly, the supervisor appeared unwilling to engage with us or consider the circumstances. We were not given a reasonable opportunity to explain the situation before the decision to deny boarding was made. Instead of attempting to de-escalate the matter, the supervisorβs approach only increased our distress. My sister was not acting aggressively, threatening anyone, or behaving disrespectfully toward Ryanair staff or other passengers. She was not involved in any argument, did not use abusive language, and did not refuse to comply with any instructions. She was simply talking to herself and was not directing her comments toward any member of staff. Despite this, she was refused boarding. At no point were we provided with a clear explanation of the specific reasons for this decision, either verbally or in writing. Based on what we observed, we do not understand how my sisterβs conduct justified the decision to deny boarding. We therefore request that Ryanair clearly explain the factual and legal basis for this decision. As a direct result of this incident, we suffered significant financial losses. We had already paid β¬70 for baggage services, which we were unable to use. Furthermore, because my sister was denied boarding, we were forced to purchase three replacement airline tickets at a cost of approximately β¬200, expenses that would not have been incurred had she been allowed to travel. Beyond the financial impact, this incident caused our family considerable emotional distress and humiliation. We were left shocked by the manner in which we were treated and by the absence of any genuine attempt to resolve the situation fairly before the decision to deny boarding was made. Accordingly, we respectfully request that Ryanair: * Conduct a full investigation into this incident, including the conduct of the supervisor and all staff involved. * Provide a detailed written explanation of the reasons for denying my sister boarding, including the specific facts relied upon in reaching that decision. * Provide copies of any incident reports, supervisor reports, gate staff reports, witness statements, cabin crew reports, or any other records relating to this incident. * Preserve and disclose any CCTV footage or other recordings, if available, that relate to the boarding process and the events leading to the denial of boarding. * Refund the unused flight, the baggage fees, and reimburse the additional costs we incurred in purchasing replacement tickets. * Consider any compensation to which we may be entitled under applicable passenger rights legislation and Ryanairβs Conditions of Carriage if your investigation concludes that the denial of boarding was not justified. We have retained our booking information and supporting documentation and are prepared to provide any additional information required. We also request that this complaint be reviewed by a senior member of Ryanairβs Customer Relations team who was not involved in the original decision. If this matter is not resolved satisfactorily, we reserve the right to refer the complaint to the appropriate aviation authorities, including the Spanish Aviation Safety and Security Agency (AESA), and to pursue any other remedies available to us. We trust that Ryanair will investigate this matter thoroughly, fairly, and objectively, and we look forward to receiving your prompt response. Ryanair booking ZZMRPP eDreams case ref no. CASE-2026-20488765 eDreams booking request ref. 24902479507 and 24902839011 Ryanair flight FR9093 BAR-BER 11.04.26 Re. Problems booking a flight due to payment irregularity Vaughan Matthews, Barcelona (T. 675113827) Requested flight: BAR-BER for same day booking 11.04.26 began process approx 11:30 finalised approx 14:00. Reservation numbers: 24902839011 / 24902479507 11.04.26 I tried booking a Ryanair flight from Barcelona to Berlin at 18:45 for same day. I tried paying the due amount β¬428.11 with my BNP card & during the process I was informed by eDreams that the transaction was βnot successfulβ & to try again using a different card which I did but following the prompts/instructions I had to start the process again in order to make the payment β on this occasion amounting to β¬396.54. The transaction was βsuccessfulβ & confirmed by email & I proceeded to finish whatever requirements were needed at that point. I checked my BNP acc. the following day & the first (unsuccessful) transaction amount of β¬428.11 still seemed to be pending after 5 attempts to take the money. This complaint now stretches to include the fact that for several reasons I was unable to take the flight that day: the flight booking was urgent & once Iβd started the process I had to commit to taking this flight but with limited time. Apart from the payment process requiring a restart, on the way to the airport I received multiple messages from Ryanair regarding the value of the booking because of eDreamsβ culture of processing such bookings, & that I had to download an app to install on my phone in order to successfully proceed with the purchase β in any event by the time I arrived at the airport I was instructed that the gate was about to close & I was told to abort check-in & go immediately to the security point, which I did but was told that boarding was closed. I approached eDreams some time ago but they redirected me to Ryanair as the βprimary agentβ in this matter. My claim is for the refund of the full value of the flight - β¬396.54 β on the basis that I was the victim of a dual platform booking system which was solely interested in obtaining the aforementioned amount + various related complications & that the flight check-in time was unrealistic. We went and asked as we couldnβt access our boarding passes. The lady at the Ryanair help desk took our reference number and confirmed our flight and our names so we were sure that everything was okay. Then she stared laughing and saying we canβt get on the plane. We thought it was a joke as we had paid our money and was ready to go back home. She continued laughing with her colleagues whilst saying βget away from here lady I have no information for youβ and gave me a number to Ryanair customer service which was closed as it opened at 8am but our flight was at 8:15am. We continued telling her what should we do and she kept dismissing us and laughing. We wanted a reasoning as to why we were not able to go home. We had my disabled 68 year old dad with us and 4 children including an infant who now had to wait 6 hours at the airport tired while we waited for our next flight which we paid for out of our own pocket. Everyone was anxious that we wouldnβt be able to fly due to the way we were treated and it felt like we was being targeted for no reason. We ended up calling the Ryanair customer service and asked for a reasoning and they apologised and said they would give us a refund back but still then no reason to why we were dismissed. We was then told to call back and speak to supervisor but they said the same thing which was a refund back. I asked for our money back for our flight that we were forced to book but they kept speaking about the refund and was not willing to help with anything else. I am very angry and disappointed and my next steps would be to sue them if this donβt go ahead as we need some sort of explanation and compensation to what me and my family went through. They ruined a nice, memorable holiday for us all and probably the last holiday before my dads major surgery.

We contacted Ryanair and we was dismissed. They did not tell us the reason they didnβt let us get on the plane and said we was βdeniedβ with no evidence, no reasoning whatsoever. They shouted at us and kept telling us to leave and figure it out and book another flight out of our own pockets. They gave us a number for Ryanair customer service which opened at 8am. However our flight was at 08:15am. When we managed to ring the number for answers to why we was treated this way verbally abused. He said he was unsure and would give us a refund which we did not want we wanted an explanation to why we was discriminated. My dad is disabled as they was aware of. He is 68 years old he has an emergency hip surgery coming up and fell in the airport due to the stress. We have 1 infant who was crying for the whole 6 hours as we waited and paid for our next flight. And a 4 year old with eating issues. So she did not eat anything until we got to Birmingham which was 10 whole hours. This could have all been avoided but we was definitely targeted and need some sort of compensation due to the stress and anxiety Ryanair has caused to me and my family.

Dear Sir or Madam, I would like to request your assistance in pursuing a compensation claim and helping me recover my missing baggage following my Ryanair flight. On 26 July 2026, I travelled on Ryanair flight FR5238 from Marrakech (RAK) to Brussels (BRU). I did not miss my flight. I successfully boarded the aircraft and travelled to Brussels as scheduled. Unfortunately, my checked baggage did not arrive in Brussels, and I have since filed a Property Irregularity Report (PIR Reference: BRUFR10145/26JUL26/1508GMT). I have attached my boarding pass, baggage tag, and the PIR report. I believe the loss of my baggage resulted from an error during the boarding process. I arrived at the gate shortly before boarding closed, and the boarding process was moving very quickly. Airport staff urged me to board immediately, and in the rush, my boarding pass was most likely not scanned. Although the airlineβs system may therefore have incorrectly recorded me as a no-show, I was on board the flight and arrived in Brussels. I believe that, because my boarding pass was not scanned, my checked baggage was mistakenly identified as belonging to a passenger who had not boarded and was therefore removed from the aircraft before departure. I would appreciate it if you could assess my case, pursue any compensation to which I may be entitled, and assist me in communicating with Ryanair to ensure my baggage is located and delivered as soon as possible. Please let me know if you require any additional documents or information. Thank you in advance for your assistance. Kind regards, Yasser Mosleh

We literally arrived in Palma with all our luggage in checked in bags. So we had to buy clothes and all the essentials needed for not having our bags for nearly 4 days. Also to add the stress of dealing with the emails phone calls and getting no information what so ever when our bags will be arriving. We also missed our transfer from palma airport to our hotel and had to pay 93euro for a taxi. The whole experience really ruined our holiday. We had an 8 year who cried his eyes out as he gets very anxious. Especially after spending so much on the holiday for our 3 bags not to arrive is totally unacceptable.

The claimants booked Ryanair flight **FR4967** to Bari and, prior to the trip, reserved a rental car with Goldcar for **β¬256.67**, to be collected on the day of arrival. Due to the flight delay, the aircraft landed after the Goldcar office had closed, making it impossible to collect the reserved vehicle. Before arrival, the claimants contacted Goldcar by phone and email in an attempt to keep the reservation, but were informed that the office closed at 10:00 p.m. and that the booking would be treated as a "No Show" if they failed to arrive before closing. As there were no reasonable alternatives at that time of night, they were forced to rent the only available vehicle for **β¬500.55** in order to continue their planned journey. The total financial loss directly caused by the flight delay amounts to **β¬757.22**, as evidenced by the supporting documentation.- Gerona-Bari

I refer to the above-mentioned flight, which was scheduled to depart at 16:40. Prior to departure, we received a notification from Ryanair informing us that the flight would be delayed by one hour due to a technical fault. Shortly before the expiry of that one-hour delay, we were informed that the flight would be delayed for a further hour. Ultimately, the aircraft departed at approximately 20:07, and we arrived at Paphos Airport at 21:38. In support of this, I attach the Paphos Airport arrivals record showing the actual arrival time. Furthermore, Ryanair sent passengers a YouTube video announcement stating that there had been a technical fault, that the issue had been rectified, and that the flight would operate with a delay. To my great surprise, after submitting my compensation claim, I received an immediate response from Ryanair stating that I am not entitled to compensation under Regulation (EC) No. 261/2004, on the grounds that the delay was allegedly caused by airspace restrictions. This explanation is entirely inconsistent with the information provided to passengers throughout the delay and directly contradicts the reason repeatedly communicated by Ryanair, namely that the delay was caused by a technical fault affecting the aircraft. It is therefore my position that I am fully entitled to compensation under Regulation (EC) No. 261/2004. I therefore request the immediate payment of β¬250 in compensation for myself and β¬250 for my husband and fellow passenger, Petros Charalambous, without any further delay. I look forward to your prompt response and settlement of this claim.- Chania-Paphos

My complaint is not about the baggage policy. I immediately agreed to pay the extra baggage fee. The issue is that I was repeatedly asked to wait until the end of boarding to complete the payment. When I finally had a working payment method and was ready to pay, I was simply told, "Too late," and denied boarding. Had I been allowed to pay when I first requested to do so, I would have boarded the flight. As a direct result of the way this situation was handled, I missed my flight and had to purchase a replacement ticket on the same day for β¬254 to avoid missing my existing travel commitments, while my original Ryanair ticket cost only β¬35. This incident caused me significant and unnecessary financial loss. I also have video evidence of the incident and can provide it upon request.

On 9 July 2026, we held confirmed reservations on Ryanair flight FR1819 from Eindhoven (EIN) to Thessaloniki (SKG), scheduled to depart at 12:20 and arrive at 16:05. We arrived at Eindhoven Airport at 09:52, almost 2Β½ hours before departure, checked in on time, completed security, and were present at the gate well before boarding closed. We were second in the non-priority boarding queue when Ryanair staff placed us, together with several other passengers, on standby. After waiting at the gate, Ryanair staff informed us that the flight had been overbooked and that there were no seats available. We were refused boarding and instructed to go to the Ryanair service desk. At the service desk, Ryanair staff confirmed that we were entitled to β¬400 compensation per passenger because we had been involuntarily denied boarding due to overbooking. Ryanair later claimed that we had arrived late for boarding. This is entirely incorrect. We arrived at the airport at 09:52, were at the gate well before boarding closed, remained there while waiting for a decision, and even observed that the flight departure was delayed. At no point were we informed that we had missed boarding or arrived too late. The only explanation given to us at the airport was that the flight was full because it had been overbooked. As a direct result of Ryanairβs denied boarding, we missed our onward Aegean Airlines flights to our final destination, Zakynthos (ZTH). We were forced to purchase replacement flights, pay additional baggage and transport costs, and our arrival at our final destination was significantly delayed. We have submitted booking confirmations, receipts, correspondence with Ryanair, and other supporting evidence demonstrating that we complied with all boarding requirements and were involuntarily denied boarding solely because the flight was oversold.

I checked in for the flight at 12.10 (4hours before the flight - check-in closes 2 hours before the flight) once I had boarded the bus for the airport. I was informed that I would be assigned a seat at the gate. When I reached the gate I was told that the flight was full and that I would have to wait with the assignment of a seat until all other passengers had checked in for the flight. The flight was delayed by 75mins, thus I waited a total of over 3 hours to be informed of my seat. I was informed by the staff that Ryan Air overbooks all their flights and that there was always a free seat at the end and that I should not worry. When check-in was complete I was told that unfortunately everyone has checked in and that I could get on the flight the next morning (June 6). I was asked to proceed to customer service in order to receive a voucher for food & a hotel for the night. When I reached customer service, I was told that the flight the following morning was also overbooked and that I could not be secured a seat on that flight and could therefor not be accommodated in a hotel in Porto for the night. Instead I was offered to make my way to Lisbon by nightbus and take a flight to Rome the following morning and from there continue my journey to Berlin the following afternoon. My arrival in Berlin would thus have been on the evening of June 6 instead of June 5. I declined as I am too old to travel for a combined 30 hours. I was at no point offered any other form of compensation or indeed any help in trying to find another flight even though I made the staff aware of the fact that I HAD to be in Berlin the following day by noon. My expenses were only for the buses to and from Coimbra. I do not have a receipt for the return journey from Porto airport to Coimbra as I bought this directly on the bus. I also do not have a receipt for the petrol expenses to & from Coimbra. Much heavier that the expenses for the bus, food and petrol for the car was the fact that I could not participate at the funeral of an old friend in Berlin on June 6.

I arrived at the airport in good time, around an hour and 45 mins before departure, whereupon the initial delay was already on the board (a new time was given at 16:30, showing the departure was to be at 19:10). After some time waiting in the terminal, the delay disappeared and Ryanair informed me through the app that a technical issue has resulted in an extended delay some time around 17:10. No mention of what the issue was. A 4 Euro voucher was automatically given out, for drinks/snacks. It wasnβt even enough for a basic sandwich, and many just got junk foods. Eventually they sent out a note saying that I could claim some money due to the delay being over two hours. In total, it was over three hours, and the plane landed past 22:00, which led to my arrival at home past midnight (which I had expected to avoid), impacting my return to work later that morning. Later that day, only when attempting to follow the delay claim process, Ryanair stated that there was a birdstrike, which meant a different plane was sent out, shifting the blame to a cause beyond their control (with no evidence yet provided). There was no mention of this reasoning on the flight when the captain apologised for the delay either, and no public record of a bird strike resulted in the grounding of one of their planes that day. Their reasoning felt more like a convenient excuse, which is why I decided to pursue further.- Vienna-London

We spoke to Ryanair in Malaga airport and they told us to file a claim online and that we had to rebook another flight to another place because they didnβt have our destination and then we had to take a taxi to our ultimate destination, so we arrived until midnight local time. All our communication was in person with the representatives there in Malaga airport. The Ryanair representative at Malaga airport knew where we were going and the time of our flight and yet they left us in a wrong line for ages with a baby and child, to finally tell us to go to a different line at the end and once we got through there just to get through all the gates and passport control we missed the flight. We kept telling every worker that we had the flight to TΓ©touan and they kept reassuring us that that is the line and we canβt go elsewhere. We struggled in the airport for hours with the children and finding another flight. It cost us 500 euros to rebook the flight after the airline routed us through several lines, and this was in spite of us running as fast as possible after all the organization-induced delays. We received little support from the airline aside from the Ryanair help desk representative; other airline employees kept interrogating our group and moving them around, and it contributed to exhaustion in our children which they are still recovering from. The food was expensive so we couldnβt even get enough food to satiate us until we got back. They didnβt not even provide us with any food vouchers or a place to stay even though we had a baby and a toddler.

I am writing to lodge a formal complaint regarding the unacceptable service, severe operational delays, and unprofessional staff behavior that resulted in myself and five other passengers missing our flight today, 20.07.2026, to GdaΕsk (9.00). Despite arriving at the airport two hours before our scheduled departure, we were denied boarding under extraordinary and unfair circumstances. Your airport imposes a policy where it is impossible for passengers to pass through security earlier than two hours before their flight. However, your security checkpoint operations today took an astonishing 1.5 hours due to severe understaffing, a complete lack of urgency, and bafflingly inefficient procedures. This creates a mathematically impossible window for passengers to make their flights. 1. Severe Security Delays & Negligence (1.5-Hour Wait) The security checkpoint operations today were completely inadequate. The process took an astonishing 1.5 hours due to severe understaffing, a complete lack of urgency, and bafflingly inefficient procedures. β’ I stood in the initial security queue for over an hour. β’ I was then redirected to the upstairs security line, which added another 30 to 40 minutes to my wait. Adding to the frustration, while standing on the stairs to the upper level, I could clearly see that the ground-floor security line was suddenly moving smoothly with only a small queue. Forcing us upstairs into a standstill bottleneck while the ground floor cleared was a massive operational failure by your staff. β’ The delay was severely compounded by the absurdly slow behavior of the staff. For instance, one employee spent an agonizing amount of time manually repacking liquids from one plastic bag to another, and even went so far as to slowly break open a box of yogurts just to fit them into a bag. The inefficiency was so blatant that another airport employee noticed how extremely slowly he was moving, stepped in to assist him, and only then did the pace increase slightly. However, by that point, the damage to our schedule had already been done. Furthermore, my boarding pass was checked a total of four times by airport staff while I was trapped in this queue. The airport personnel were fully aware of my flight number and departure time, yet they completely ignored the urgency of my situation and refused to fast-track me or the other passengers through the line while these trivial, poorly managed procedures were taking place. 2. Premature Flight Departure After finally clearing the bottleneck at security, I rushed directly to the gate. To my shock, me and 5 other passangers were told boarding was closed, and we watched the plane take off 15 minutes before its scheduled departure time. It is entirely unacceptable for a flight to depart early and leave behind passengers who were trapped in the airportβs own disorganized security linesβespecially when staff had multiple opportunities to flag us through. When we confronted the gate agent who barred us from entering the plane, he claimed that three boarding announcements had been made. However, not a single one of these announcements was audible or visible upstairs in the security queue where we were trapped. It is entirely unacceptable for a flight to depart early and leave behind passengers who were kept completely in the dark due to a malfunctioning or inadequate airport PA system, especially while being held up by the airport's own disorganized security lines. 3. Substandard Customer Service & Lack of Compassion The treatment we received from the Beauvais (BVA) employees at the gate and service desk was deeply distressing. Despite the fact that six passengers were visibly upsetβsome crying and begging for assistanceβthe staff showed zero empathy, interest, or professionalism. They were dismissive and exceptionally rude. Furthermore, the "solutions" provided were entirely inadequate: β’ We were given no food or drink vouchers despite the hours spent trapped in the airport waiting for the next flight (7 hours). β’ The only option presented was to purchase a new ticket out-of-pocket for β¬100. β’ To make matters worse, this replacement flight was either not for the same day, or it wasn't to my original destination. Required Resolution As the missed flight was a direct result of Beauvais Airportβs operational failure, lack of internal communication, and the premature closure of the gate, I expect the airport to take responsibility for this situation. Sincerely, Joanna Upchurch

We had 2 flight tickets from Budapest to Dublin (with changing on London Stansted) purchased from Ryanair in May 2026. On 1 July 2026, our inbound flight from Budapest arrived with a 40 minute (actually 20 minutes) delay. Knowing time was tight, we bought Security Fast Track tickets in advance and rushed through the airport. Both border control and baggage retrieval went exceptionally fast. We arrived at the Ryanair check-in desk at exactly 12:24. Since scheduled departure was 13:10, the check-in deadline was 12:30. We arrived 6 minutes before the official closure. We explained our urgency, but the female staff member was highly dismissive and flatly refused to accept our baggage or process our check-in, despite the desk being officially open.We were sent to Customer Service (as I checked my watch, we were there at 12:28), where staff forced us to pay a "Missed Departure Fee" of Β£100 per passenger (Β£200 total) to be rebooked. We disputed this and tried using an ATM to deposit cash, which failed. After being forced to step aside, we called a family member for an emergency transfer. Our call log proves this call was made at exactly 12:52. Factoring in the discussion, moving desks, and the ATM attempt, this mathematically proves we arrived well before 12:30.Flight FR203 was delayed and actually took off at 14:32. Had the staff done their job at 12:25, we would have easily boarded. The airlineβs wrongful actions imposed a massive, unnecessary financial burden on us. As a single mother, I cannot afford a sudden Β£200 expense, especially when I did absolutely nothing wrong. Forcing us into financial vulnerability and requiring us to borrow money due to your staff's error is entirely unacceptable from the airline. Due to the 4.5-hour delay, we also spent Β£23 on airport sustenance.

I am submitting this claim regarding my unjustified denial of boarding on the Ryanair flight from Milan to Porto. I was travelling with my wife and our 10-month-old baby as part of an Erasmus+ mobility project. We were accompanying a group of 15 participants, including 12 Roma women. My wife was the official group leader and had organised and purchased all flight tickets. During boarding, an incident occurred between my wife and the gate agent after my wife tried to defend two participants whose bags had been thrown aside. During the confrontation, my wife threw one of the bags towards the gate agent, and the police were called. I was not involved in the incident. I did not act aggressively, threaten anyone, interfere with the gate staff, or refuse any instructions. I remained calm and fully cooperated with both the airport staff and the police at all times. The police did not issue me with any fine, charge or allegation of wrongdoing. After speaking with everyone, they simply advised us to take the next available flight. Despite this, I was also denied boarding without any explanation. I was never informed of any reason why I could not travel, even though I had a valid ticket, had checked in on time, and was ready to board. My intention was to continue the journey in order to support and lead our Erasmus+ group. The participants do not speak English and relied on us throughout the mobility. By refusing me boarding, Ryanair left 12 vulnerable participants without the person responsible for assisting them during their journey, causing significant disruption to the project, emotional distress and additional financial losses. In addition, the gate agent told two of our Roma participants that they should never fly with Ryanair again. Several members of our group witnessed these statements, and we are concerned that they may have been treated differently because of their ethnic background. I respectfully request that my case be reviewed and that Ryanair explain the legal basis for refusing me carriage. As I was not involved in any misconduct and no reason was given for denying me boarding, I request compensation for any unjustified denial of boarding together with reimbursement of all eligible expenses

Reimbursement of expenses following cancelled flight and return home
Flight FR148 from Berlin (BER) to Barcelona (BCN) on 5 February 2026 was cancelled. I did not accept rerouting because the next flight offered by the airline was approximately five days later. I exercised my right to reimbursement under Article 8 and abandoned the journey. As a result of the cancellation, immediate return to Poland was not reasonably possible due to the late timing of the disruption, adverse weather conditions and safety considerations. I therefore incurred necessary and reasonable expenses while arranging a safe return home. These expenses included: - Hotel accommodation in Berlin from 5 February to 7 February 2026 (β¬384.80) - Meals (β¬54.00) - Parking costs These expenses were incurred while returning home after the cancellation, not while travelling to Barcelona. I request reimbursement of these expenses under Article 9 of Regulation EC261/2004.- Schonefeld-Barcelona

I submitted a compensation claim directly to Ryanair, which was rejected. Flight FR8236 was originally scheduled to depart at 21:25 and was later delayed until 22:45. Ryanair instructed passengers to remain at the airport. The flight was then cancelled. The cancellation email referred to airport curfew restrictions, while the compensation rejection referred to air traffic control/airspace restrictions. I have attached the relevant correspondence. Due to the late cancellation, I incurred additional transport costs and had to arrange transportation home after public transport was no longer available.- Charleroi-Tirana

I do not accept that the delay was only due to thunderstorm. There were more than 2 hours of delay only because of airlines where they asked us to deboard and then made us wait in bus and then re boarding in another flight and long wait for ATC clearance process by company.- Bergamo-Helsinki

After a 10 day family trip to the UK, we had scheduled our trip back home by flying with RYANAIR from Edinburgh to London Stansted (Flight RK8604, ETD 14:50, ETA 16:15) and then with RYANAIR again from London Stansted to Thessaloniki (Flight FR2567, ETD 19:55). Unfortunately, the first flight was terribly delayed. According to the airport display, it arrived in London Stansted at 19:22. The rest of my family rushed to check in to the next flight, but I had to pick our luggage from Carousel 5 of the airport. I have photo evidence that I am still there waiting for the luggage at 19:54. Us and two other families tried to explain to airhosts on the first flight and people at the airport of Edinburgh and Stansted the situation begging to hold the flight for a bit, as it was RYANAIR that was delayed in the first place, but everyone claimed that it was not their responsibility. In two airports and one plane no one was responsible to listen to our claim. I was left outside because the check in desk was closed and, as I had a large hardcase luggage that could not fit the x-ray machine, I could not even take the luggage onboard with a penalty. Eventually, I had to buy two soft case bags and move the family clothes in them in order to go through the x-rays. Until then, I had lost so much time and RYANAIR was boarding on Gate 48, which is probably the gate furthest from check in... It took me almost half an hour to get there. No escalators or rolling floors to aid passengers. Although the flight FR2567 to Thessaloniki was delayed as well (hey, its Ryanair), they did not let me in. I was there on Gate 48 staring at my plane for almost half an hour before it left with the rest of my family in it. My family gave their own fight to delay the gate closure, but in vain. Ryanair offered me a ticket to the next available flight at an extra cost of 100 pounds. Unfortunately, that was on Tuesday. I could not afford the cost of hotels and restaurants for a further couple of days. I booked on my own the ticket that would bring me back home the fastest. My family was affected by this as well as I had the car keys and our home is 190km from Thessaloniki. Upon arrival at Thessaloniki after midnight, they had to sleep at the airport waiting for me. I arrived to Thessaloniki at 17:30, fourteen hours later and hundreds of euros poorer.

I am requesting assistance regarding Ryanair's refusal to reimburse my meal expenses following the delay of flight FR6050. The flight was scheduled to depart from Funchal (Madeira) at 18:45. Passengers boarded the aircraft on time and remained onboard for approximately one hour before the captain informed us that we had to disembark due to the delay. At 20:30, Ryanair sent me an SMS with a β¬4 meal voucher, clearly acknowledging that meal assistance was being provided as a result of the disruption. I purchased a meal at 20:36, only six minutes after receiving the voucher. I had not purchased food earlier because I was onboard the aircraft and therefore had no opportunity to do so. Despite this, Ryanair has now rejected my reimbursement request twice. Their only explanation is that my meal receipt was issued before the flight had been delayed by two hours, and therefore they consider the expense ineligible. I believe this position is inconsistent. If Ryanair considered that passengers were entitled to meal assistance, as demonstrated by the meal voucher sent to my phone at 20:30, it is difficult to understand why a meal purchased immediately afterwards, at 20:36, is not considered eligible for reimbursement. Furthermore, passengers had already spent approximately one hour confined onboard the aircraft before being instructed to disembark, without any opportunity to purchase food. I would appreciate your assessment of whether Ryanair complied with its obligations under Regulation (EC) No. 261/2004 and whether I have grounds to challenge this refusal and seek reimbursement of my reasonable meal expenses.- Funchal-Porto

The Story β What Happened on 13 July 2026 I planned this trip around my son Ioannisβs eleventh birthday: Athens to London first on Ryanair (completed), then London Stansted to Luxembourg on Ryanair flight FR1459 (booking ref D8EQKR), with a train onward to Brussels and a return flight from Brussels to Greece on Friday 17 July. Knowing the Stansted departure was very early, 06:35, I booked a hotel near the airport the night before specifically to avoid any risk of missing the flight. On the morning of the 13th, Ioannis and I arrived at the airport roughly two hours before departure β standard practice. Security screening took an unusually long time. By the time we reached the top of the stairs to the gate, the βlast callβ notice was already showing. By the time we got to the gate itself, it was 06:10 for a 06:35 departure β and the gate had already been closed. I went straight to the gate staff. All I got was a single βsorryβ β no explanation of when the gate had actually closed, no offer to help with rebooking, and no acknowledgment that I was travelling with a young child. The door was opened only to let us out. There were no affordable same-day flights to Luxembourg left β just one expensive night flight. I was upset, and I decided to abandon the rest of the trip: the Luxembourg leg, the Brussels train connection, and the return flight Iβd already booked from Brussels for the 17th. Instead I booked a same-day Aegean flight home from London Heathrow to Athens, which meant crossing London from Stansted to Heathrow with an eleven-year-old, on top of an already exhausting and upsetting day.

To Ryanair Customer Service, I am writing to formally complain about being denied boarding on flight FR1459 from London Stansted (STN) to Luxembourg (LUX), scheduled to depart at 06:35 on 13/07/2026, under booking reference D8EQKR. I was travelling with my child, Ioannis Sofianos, and had planned this trip carefully in advance, having booked the tickets well ahead of time and paying for a hotel near the airport specifically to ensure an easy, stress-free arrival for such an early departure. I arrived at the airport approximately two hours before departure, in line with standard guidance. Security screening took an unusually long time. When I reached the top of the stairs leading to the gate, I saw the βlast callβ notice displayed. By the time I descended the stairs to the gate itself, it was 06:10 β 25 minutes before the scheduled departure time of 06:35 β and the gate had already been closed. I approached the gate staff immediately and was simply told βsorry,β with no further explanation, no attempt to assist us, and no acknowledgment of the fact that I was travelling with a young child. The door was opened only to let me through after being turned away, with no support offered regarding rebooking, accommodation, or next steps. I do not believe this was handled appropriately. I was at the gate before the scheduled departure time, and the lack of any assistance or communication from staff β especially given that I was travelling with a child β made an already stressful situation considerably worse. I am requesting the following: 1. A full review of this incident, including confirmation of the exact time the gate closed and boarding closed for flight FR1459 on 13/07/2026. 2. Compensation under EU Regulation 261/2004 for denied boarding, for both passengers, as well as reimbursement of costs incurred as a result (including the hotel booked for this departure and any rebooking or additional accommodation costs). 3. A written response confirming how this matter will be addressed. I look forward to your prompt response. Kind regards, Orsalia Deskou Booking reference: D8EQKR

We had face to face communication with Rganair manager at the airport. Initially when we arrived at the airport we were notified that the flight D3LJKN had 2h delay. We then made our way to the main waiting area. At 8 30 notification on screen came for gate so we made our way there. At 9.10am a new gate number came so we had to walk to the other end of the airport and wait to be let in. At 9.25 they closed the gate even though we had waited there after running to make sure we are on time. People were very rude from Ryanair and would not let us on. We were told plane is leaving ( did not leave until 10,10am we then went to information and wanted to know what is going on we were made to pay 100 pounds per person for flight change even though it was not our fault. We got our trip delayed which caused disruption to our holiday plans

CLAIM FOR COMPENSATION UNDER REGULATION (EC) No 261/2004 Involuntary Denied Boarding β Flight FR1819 Date: 29 June 2026 To: Ryanair Customer Service Passenger Details Name: Konstantinos Biba Booking Reference: S4K6MQ Flight Number: FR1819 Route: Eindhoven (EIN) β Thessaloniki (SKG) Scheduled Flight Date: 25 June Email: kostasb368@gmail.com Telephone: +30 6988223493 Address: Palamidiou 7, Larissa, Greece Subject: Claim for Compensation under Regulation (EC) No 261/2004 β Involuntary Denied Boarding on Flight FR1819 Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing to submit a formal claim for compensation under Regulation (EC) No 261/2004 following involuntary denied boarding on Ryanair flight FR1819 from Eindhoven (EIN) to Thessaloniki (SKG) on 25 June. I held a confirmed reservation for the above flight and arrived at Eindhoven Airport well in advance of departure. I completed check-in, passed security, and presented myself at the boarding gate on time, fully complying with all boarding requirements. Immediately before boarding, I was informed by Ryanair staff that I would not be permitted to board because there were not enough available seats on the aircraft. The flight departed as scheduled without me. I did not volunteer to give up my seat, nor was I asked whether I wished to do so. I was simply informed by Ryanair staff, immediately before boarding, that I would not be permitted to board because there were not enough available seats on the aircraft. As a consequence of this involuntary denied boarding, I was rebooked on another Ryanair flight on 28 June, arriving at my final destination three days later than originally scheduled. Under Regulation (EC) No 261/2004, passengers who are involuntarily denied boarding despite holding a confirmed reservation and presenting themselves for boarding on time are entitled to compensation unless one of the limited exceptions provided for in the Regulation applies. As the distance between Eindhoven and Thessaloniki exceeds 1,500 km and both airports are located within the European Union, I respectfully request payment of the statutory compensation of EUR 400. I did not incur any additional expenses requiring reimbursement. Therefore, this claim relates solely to the statutory compensation provided for under Regulation (EC) No 261/2004. If Ryanair consider that compensation is not payable, I kindly request a detailed written explanation, together with all factual and legal grounds supporting that decision, including the specific reason why I was denied boarding despite holding a confirmed reservation and presenting myself at the gate on time. I trust that this matter will be resolved promptly and I look forward to your response. Yours faithfully, Konstantinos Biba Email: kostasb368@gmail.com Telephone: +30 6988223493

I was in line to get onto the plane when I was asked to step out until the end. After everyone had boarded, I was then told that the flight was overbooked and I could not get on the flight I had paid for. It was organised that I would take another flight from Dublin to Edinburgh instead of from cork. This change in flights made me get home at 2am on the 12th of July rather than the original plan of 1pm on the 11th of july. As such, I had missed an entire day that I could've spent at home that I had to book off from work.

Appalling as no contact to resolve issues
There is no-one to speak to at Ryanair. Their chat centre is a bot. I proved this by chatting to 3 different "humans" or so they said. I was asked exactly the same questions for security and received identical responses (word for word) on each occasion. Quite simply Ryanair doesn't have a call centre/ complaints department or anything else in house to resolve issues (mine being a credit card which showed failed but was charged then another charge levied) tried to resolve within 5 minutes but bots got in the way, no one to speak to. If that's how Ryanair make their money, then this is by very scurrilous means.Overall
Hopeless for contacting. Directed to online help but proved this is just a bot. Went through 3 times and each time had identical answers even though they said they were human but then a bot would say that wouldn't it. My complaint being that I paid f

I did send a message to RyanAir but just received an automated response to say to try again later. Our flight was showing on the screens as being delayed as soon as we had gone through security. However, initially they were saying that it was due to a technical problem and that there was no plane so a plane had to be diverted from another airport. By the end they had changed the details and were saying that the problem was due to the weather. During the delay, virtually all of the shops and cafes had closed. There was only one bar open, not selling food other than crisps and chocolate. We weee provided with compensatory vouchers which didnβt even cover the cost of a coffee and packet of crisps. We were all called to the boarding gate and were sat on the floor for around an hour at the end. Very bad situation and we were not really being updated properly. I have tried to claim compensation through another company but Ryanair are not accepting the claim. It is currently with their legal team to try and establish if there are grounds for a claim.- Bristol-Bergamo

I am writing this formal complaint to detail the unacceptable sequence of events I experienced on 09 July 2026 regarding Flight FR4983 from Chania. Despite completing my online check-in on 08 July 2026 and possessing a valid boarding pass, I was subjected to denied boarding and misleading information by your staff, causing severe personal and professional disruption. On 09 July 2026, at 06:40, I received an email regarding an aircraft change. Upon arriving at the check-in desk, your staff informed me that no seat was available. Two Ryanair employees explicitly conRrmed that I had been rebooked onto the 22:00 Sight that same day. My parents and brother were present and can testify that this was stated as a deRnitive fact. Relying on this oUcial assurance, I left the airport to attend to urgent professional commitments. The situation escalated when my parents arrived at the boarding gate to conRrm these details. They were informed that no such transfer existed and that I had not been rebooked on any evening Sight. By that point, I had already departed the airport and the gate had closed. Furthermore, Resolved Ryanair https://www.ryanair.com/ie/en/myryanair/cases/78303786 1 Ξ±ΟΟ 3 9/7/26, 5:59 ΞΌ.ΞΌ. the gate staff were unprofessional, refused to identify themselves, and mocked my family by denying that the check-in staff had ever promised me a seat. This incident is a violation of Regulation (EC) No. 261/2004. As a passenger, I was denied boarding due to operational changes and gross misinformation provided by your representatives. The resulting Rnancial burdenβthe necessity to purchase a new return ticketβis a direct consequence of your staff's incompetence. I demand: Full compensation for denied boarding under EU 261/2004; Immediate reimbursement for the cost of the replacement ticket I was forced to purchase; A thorough written explanation of the operational failure. I expect a prompt and professional resolution. I reserve all my legal rights to seek further recourse through the Hellenic Civil Aviation.

Our inbound Ryanair flight from Budapest to London Stansted was delayed by 40 minutes, causing a very tight connection. Despite this, we rushed through the airport, passed border control, collected our baggage quickly, and arrived at the Ryanair bag drop desk at exactly 12:25. Since the scheduled departure of our next flight (FR203 to Dublin) was 13:10, the strict 40-minute check-in deadline was 12:30. Therefore, we presented ourselves 5 minutes before the official closure.Despite being on time, the staff member dismissed us and wrongfully refused to accept our baggage or process our check-in. We were directed to Customer Service, where staff forced us to pay an unexpected Β£100 per passenger fee (Β£200 total) to be rebooked, which we had to borrow from a family member via an emergency call at 12:52.To our shock, the original flight FR203 was heavily delayed and did not actually take off until 14:32. Had the check-in staff performed their duties correctly at 12:25, we would have easily boarded the flight. This constitutes an unjustified case of Denied Boarding under UK261, causing us severe distress, a 4.5-hour delay, and unnecessary extra expenses.

Yesterday, we were scheduled to fly at 5:15 PM. We boarded the aircraft on time, but then remained on the plane for approximately two hours without receiving any information about what was happening. At one point, we received an email from Ryanair informing us that the flight had been delayed. Shortly afterwards, we were instructed to leave the aircraft and return to the airport terminal, where we were told to wait another 1.5 hours for further information. While waiting at the airport, we received no updates, announcements, vouchers, or assistance from the airline. By chance, we noticed that passengers had started boarding the aircraft again. We were not informed that boarding had resumed and only managed to board because we happened to see other passengers getting on the plane. Throughout the entire delay, communication from Ryanair was extremely poor, and no clear information or support was provided.- Naples-Zagreb
