Subject: Ryanair Reservation BVI47J - Refund claim I would like to clarify that I have already submitted a compensation claim in relation to this flight, and that claim has already been rejected. Therefore, I am not asking for guidance on how to submit a new claim. I am formally disputing the rejection decision already made. This concerns Reservation BVI47J on flight FR1387, both on 03 June 2026 from Porto to Charleroi, which arrived more than 6 hours late. As the flight distance was approximately 1,440 km, the applicable compensation under Article 7 of Regulation (EC) No 261/2004 is €250 per passenger, provided the delay was not caused by extraordinary circumstances. Under EU passenger rights rules, compensation is due where a passenger reaches the final destination with a delay of 3 hours or more, unless the operating air carrier can prove that the disruption was caused by extraordinary circumstances which could not have been avoided even if all reasonable measures had been taken. EU passenger rights apply to flights departing from an EU airport, regardless of the airline operating the flight. Your previous response indicated that compensation was not payable because the delay was caused by a strike. However, the strike in question was not an external event such as an air traffic control strike, airport security strike, or severe weather disruption. The delay was caused by industrial action involving Ryanair’s own personnel / staff. That distinction is legally critical. Article 5(3) of Regulation (EC) No 261/2004 only relieves the airline of the obligation to pay compensation where the carrier can prove that the disruption was caused by extraordinary circumstances that could not have been avoided even if all reasonable measures had been taken. The Court of Justice of the European Union has clarified that strike action called by a trade union of the staff of the operating air carrier, intended to assert the demands of that carrier’s workers and followed by staff essential for operating a flight, does not fall within the concept of β€œextraordinary circumstances”. The Court expressly ruled that such industrial action by an airline’s own staff is not considered extraordinary for the purposes of Article 5(3). In the CJEU’s reasoning, events linked to employment conditions and labour relations of the carrier’s own employees are inherent in the normal exercise of the activity of the airline and therefore do not exempt the carrier from the compensation obligation. For that reason, a general statement that the delay was β€œdue to a strike” is not sufficient to lawfully reject compensation. If Ryanair wishes to continue relying on Article 5(3), then Ryanair must provide a detailed and specific explanation, together with evidence, showing: 1. the exact nature of the disruption, 2. whether the strike involved Ryanair’s own staff or an external third party, 3. why Ryanair considers the event to be extraordinary within the meaning of EU law, 4. what reasonable measures were taken to avoid or reduce the delay, and 5. the basis on which Ryanair concluded that compensation under Article 7 is not due. Please therefore treat this message as a formal challenge to the rejection of my compensation claim. Unless Ryanair can provide documentary and legally reasoned evidence that the delay was caused by truly extraordinary circumstances outside the airline’s actual control, I maintain my entitlement to compensation under Article 7 of Regulation (EC) No 261/2004. If Ryanair maintains its refusal, please provide the final written decision together with the detailed legal and factual basis for that refusal, so that I may escalate the matter to the relevant National Enforcement Body and, if necessary, pursue the matter further through the appropriate dispute resolution or legal channels. I would appreciate a substantive reply addressing the points above, rather than instructions on how to submit a new claim, since the claim has already been submitted and rejected.

Subject: Official Complaint: Unjustified Denied Boarding due to Misinterpretation of Visa Rules – Flight FR 338 Dear Ryanair Customer Support Team, I am writing to lodge a formal complaint regarding an incident today at London Luton Airport, where I was unjustly denied boarding for flight [Reys raqami] to Dublin, despite possessing all the necessary and valid travel documents. I am an Uzbekistan citizen holding a valid UK E-Visa. I had already legally entered the United Kingdom through border control. According to the official Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service (INIS) rules under the "Short Stay Visa Waiver Programme", citizens of Uzbekistan who have legally entered the UK with a valid UK visa are fully permitted to enter Ireland without a separate Irish visa for up to 90 days. Despite explaining this and presenting my valid UK E-Visa confirmation and entry stamp, the gate/check-in agent insisted that I needed a separate Irish visa and refused to issue my boarding pass. This was a clear error and a failure to recognize the official bilateral immigration rules by your staff. As a direct result of this unjustified denied boarding, I missed my flight, lost the money spent on my return tickets (approx. 350 PLN / equivalent in GBP), and lost my non-refundable hostel booking in Dublin. According to EU Regulation 261/2004, I am legally entitled to full compensation for being wrongfully denied boarding. I request: 1. A full refund of my unused Ryanair flight tickets. 2. Compensation for the financial losses caused by your staff's error (hostel accommodation expenses). 3. Statutory compensation for denied boarding. I have attached my passport copy, UK E-Visa confirmation, and proof of my expenses. I look forward to your prompt response and resolution of this matter. Sincerely, Muhammadayyub Odilov muhammadayyub.odilov05@gmail.com +48 739 513 855

I have contacted them on phone and they said that they will resolve. Now, apparently they said case will be closed. I am trying to fight for my human rights as they staff member (female at Sofia airport) has been vulgar, unprofessional and screaming infront of my kids. I think it is not normal to take my luggage after i refused since I put it in the luggage barrier and it fitted perfectly - she began shouting at me that if I do not give it to her I won't fly with my family. Another colleague of hers, began running by closing the door to the gate. They were in their 20s , and highly untrained. She took my luggage and said that it will be destroyed. I have asked her multiple times , why it has to be destroyed (value of Β£85 luggage) as it fits. She said that wheels should have been removed, which did not make sense. Another passenger of board had same samsonic priority luggage and let her go. Even some Arsenal Fans had brought huge builbboards in one bag and they have not paid it as a sport equipment ( only travel basics) other passengers were really understanding and backed me up. That woman was extremelly moody, probably having a personal problems and wanted to release all her anger at me and my family. I took my few clothes from my samsonic luggage and insisted to be left in the lost room from where my auntie would have gone next day and pick it up. But the crazy woman said No and kept shouting that it would be destroyed. I think such people are potential thread to everyone else. What really shocked me even further was the staff member's statement that once my luggage was taken it would be effectively destroyed. I had to flight & they took my luggage empty. My daughter, Debbie became so scared and was upset that we may nOT be able to flight. That unnecessary scandal that happened created such distress and making my kid being scared made me really angry about the whole situation. That was clearly unacceptable (repeating it once again) and I want a compensation!!

I arrived at Alicante airport at 07 : 45 I checked in and made my way to the departure lounge. My flight was due to leave at 10 : 05. I received a message to say my flight was delayed due to a fault with the aircraft I was due to fly home on and Ryanair were arranging for a different aircraft to come to Alicante to take me home. Ryanair loaded 4€ to my boarding pass to allow me to get refreshments. I was able to buy a drink with the 4€. I received emails during the next 5 hours I received emails informing me of the further delays to my flight. When a aircraft was available we boarded thinking we would be departing almost immediately, unfortunately we sat on the plane for approximately 1 hour before take off. The flight was pretty uneventful apart from the fact that there was limited refreshments on board which meant not everyone got refreshments. There was no duty free, I ordered for duty free to be brought to my seat which was not.

ZAGUBIONE DWA BAGAΕ»E REJESTROWANE

Complaint – delayed delivery of checked baggage (2 Γ— 20 kg) (flight 25.05.2026 Modlin – Tenerife) Passenger details: Name and surname: Agnieszka Przondak – missing baggage Name and surname: RafaΕ‚ Przondak – missing baggage Email: agnieszkakrakowiak93@wp.pl Phone: 696 019 287 Flight details: Route: Warsaw Modlin (WMI) – Tenerife (TFS) Flight date: May 25, 2026 Departure time: 13:05 ________________________________________ Dear Sir or Madam, I hereby submit a complaint regarding the failure to deliver two pieces of checked baggage on the flight from Warsaw Modlin to Tenerife on May 25, 2026 (scheduled departure at 13:05). Upon arrival at the destination airport, the baggage did not appear on the carousel. The incident was reported immediately at the airport. The baggage was delivered with a delay only after significant effort and persistent attempts to accelerate the process. The lack of baggage had a substantial impact on our well-being and the course of our journey, especially given that I was traveling as a mother with a small child. The baggage contained all essential items necessary for daily childcare, including clothing, hygiene products, and items providing a sense of comfort and security. It also included items necessary for using hotel facilities, as well as medications, including prescription drugs. This situation caused me severe stress, a sense of helplessness, and anxiety related to my inability to provide my child with basic conditions during our stay. For a small child, the absence of familiar items such as clothes or everyday objects resulted in irritability, sleep problems, and general discomfort. That same night, my child cried for several hours wanting to return home. She did not eat dinner, nor did our entire family. I also had no personal belongings with me. We traveled without carry-on luggage, only checked baggage and backpacks containing food for 10 hours of travel and toys for the child. Instead of a peaceful start to our stay, I was forced to spend time organizing substitute items late in the evening, which resulted in exhaustion, frustration, and a significant reduction in the quality of the entire trip. I spent a sleepless night holding my child. This situation was emotionally very difficult for me as a parent, as I could not fully ensure my child’s sense of security and stability in a new place. After transfer to the hotel, it was already too late to go shopping. I obtained necessary items by purchasing them from other hotel guests of the same nationality. Naturally, I do not have receipts in this situation. Due to the nature of this assistance and the circumstances, payments were made privately and cashless, without the possibility of obtaining receipts or invoices. However, I emphasize that these costs were genuinely incurred and necessary to ensure minimum living conditions and care for my child during the stay. The lack of sales documents results solely from extraordinary circumstances and the need for immediate action in a crisis situation, not from the absence of actual expenses. In addition to material losses, I have also suffered real emotional and organizational damages. Two full days of vacation were effectively lost for our entire family. I emphasize that, in accordance with the Montreal Convention, the carrier is liable for damage caused by delayed baggage delivery, and such damage includes both actually incurred and justified expenses, as well as costs necessary to meet a passenger’s basic needs during the waiting period. The form of documenting the expense should not deprive the passenger of the right to claim compensation if the expense was real, justified, and directly related to the carrier’s failure to perform the transport contract. I would like to point out that the costs I incurred were reasonable, appropriate to the situation, and necessary, and they resulted solely from the carrier’s failure to deliver the baggage β€” in this case, two pieces of baggage belonging to the same family, including a mother and a child. Furthermore, even after the baggage was found, the carrier did not ensure its delivery to my place of stay, which is standard practice in cases of delayed baggage. I was forced to personally collect the suitcases from the airport, which required organizing transport and incurring additional taxi costs, as hotel transportation was unable to assist us. This significantly increased the inconvenience caused by the initial absence of the baggage, generating further organizational and financial burdens. Traveling to the airport, especially with a small child, was an additional source of stress and difficulty that could have been avoided had the carrier fulfilled its obligation. Therefore, I request that the costs related to the personal collection of baggage and the resulting inconveniences also be taken into account. I also emphasize that I received no information from the carrier regarding the baggage delivery issue β€” neither via SMS nor email. The lack of any communication prevented me from obtaining current information about the status of the suitcases and taking informed actions. The chaos at the airport and the lack of knowledge and competence of the staff β€” both on-site and on the hotline β€” were alarming. In practice, I was left without any informational support from the carrier, which significantly worsened the inconvenience of the situation. I would also like to add that I had prescription glasses in my suitcase and wore only daily contact lenses for the flight, which made it difficult for me to see properly the next day. Due to the situation, I was effectively deprived of the possibility of using hotel services normally, including meals and recreational facilities, for a significant part of the stay. Instead of rest, I was forced to deal with problems caused by the carrier's failure, which resulted in the loss of the value of my stay and a significant reduction in the quality of the trip. Additionally, after receiving the baggage, it turned out that it had been seriously damaged. According to the information obtained, the suitcases were not loaded in Modlin and were redirected via London before reaching Tenerife. During transport, they were significantly damaged β€” scratched, dented, cracked, and deformed. After opening the suitcases, I also found damage to their contents, including high-value items such as branded cosmetics and electronic equipment (e.g., a shaver), which were destroyed and unusable. These damages constitute additional material loss directly related to improper transport. The entire situation also negatively affected my child’s health. Due to stress, lack of necessary items, and medications, my child developed health issues, including diarrhea and a significant deterioration in well-being. Moreover, due to lack of baggage, I had to urgently buy substitute footwear (flip-flops), which caused painful blisters and wounds on my child’s feet that worsened throughout the vacation. Contact with salt water caused pain and crying, preventing normal use of the holiday. I have extensive photo documentation proving the seriousness of the situation and its impact on my child and the entire trip. ________________________________________ Taking into account all of the above circumstances, including: β€’ delayed baggage β€’ additional costs β€’ damage to baggage and contents β€’ lack of support from the carrier β€’ deterioration of my child’s health β€’ significant reduction in the quality of the stay I request appropriate compensation. The trip, which was supposed to be for rest and recovery, was largely dominated by stress, organizational problems, and my child’s suffering. ________________________________________ Claim I consider the claim for reimbursement in the amount of PLN 11,700 zΕ‚ to be fully justified, as compensation for the lost part of the vacation and its significantly reduced quality. I request: β€’ payment of compensation in accordance with the Montreal Convention for baggage delay/loss β€’ total claim amount: PLN 11,700 zΕ‚ Please confirm receipt of this complaint and inform me about the method of its processing. ________________________________________ Sincerely, Agnieszka Przondak Flight: Warsaw Modlin (WMI) – Tenerife (TFS), 25 May 2026 Passenger details: Agnieszka Przondak KrΓ³lewo 36a 09-131 Joniec, Poland Email: agnieszkakrakowiak93@wp.pl Phone: +48 696 019 287 ________________________________________ To: Ryanair Customer Services Dear Sir or Madam, I hereby submit a formal complaint concerning the delayed delivery, improper handling, and subsequent damage of two items of checked baggage transported on the above-mentioned flight on 25 May 2026. ________________________________________ 1. Delay in Baggage Delivery Upon arrival at Tenerife South Airport (TFS), neither of the checked bags appeared on the baggage carousel. The incident was reported immediately at the airport. The baggage was delivered with a significant delay, and only after repeated and proactive efforts on my part to expedite the process. The absence of baggage had a severe and direct impact on my travel experience. I was travelling with a small child, and the luggage contained essential items, including: β€’ clothing and hygiene products, β€’ items necessary for daily childcare, β€’ prescription medication, β€’ items ensuring the child’s comfort and sense of security. As a result, I was unable to provide basic care conditions for my child, which caused considerable distress, anxiety, and emotional strain. ________________________________________ 2. Extraordinary Circumstances and Additional Costs Due to the late arrival and the lack of access to basic necessities, I was forced to obtain essential items from other hotel guests late in the evening. Due to the emergency nature of the situation: β€’ purchases were made privately, β€’ no receipts or invoices were issued. However, I emphasize that these expenses were real, necessary, and directly caused by the delayed delivery of baggage. According to the Montreal Convention, the carrier is liable for damages caused by delay, including necessary and reasonable expenses incurred by passengers. The lack of formal receipts should not invalidate legitimate claims where the expenses are demonstrably connected to the disruption. ________________________________________ 3. Failure to Provide Adequate Assistance I would also like to highlight serious deficiencies in customer service: β€’ I received no communication from the airline (neither SMS nor email) regarding baggage status. β€’ I was forced to independently seek information via multiple paid phone calls. β€’ Information provided by customer service was inconsistent and unclear. β€’ Airport staff and hotline support displayed a lack of knowledge and competence. This lack of support significantly increased stress, uncertainty, and inconvenience. ________________________________________ 4. Failure to Deliver Baggage to Place of Stay Despite the baggage being located, Ryanair failed to arrange delivery to my place of accommodation, which is standard procedure in such cases. I was forced to: β€’ travel to the airport personally, β€’ organize transportation independently, β€’ incur additional taxi costs. This resulted in further inconvenience, financial loss, and additional stress, particularly when travelling with a small child. ________________________________________ 5. Damage to Baggage and Contents Upon recovery, both suitcases were found to be severely damaged, including: β€’ cracks and fractures, β€’ dents and deformations, β€’ visible scratches and structural damage. Furthermore, the contents of the luggage were also damaged, including: β€’ high-value cosmetics, β€’ electronic equipment (e.g. electric shaver), which were no longer fit for use. This clearly indicates improper handling of baggage during transport. ________________________________________ 6. Health Impact and Harm to the Child The situation had a direct negative impact on my child’s health: β€’ lack of access to medication and hygiene products, β€’ stress-related illness (including gastrointestinal problems), β€’ physical injuries caused by emergency footwear (blisters, wounds, skin irritation). These injuries persisted throughout the duration of the holiday and prevented normal participation in activities. ________________________________________ 7. Loss of Enjoyment of Holiday Due to the above circumstances, I was effectively deprived of the possibility to enjoy the holiday as intended. Instead of rest and recovery, the trip was dominated by: β€’ stress, β€’ organizational difficulties, β€’ caring for an unwell child, β€’ resolving issues caused by the airline’s failure. At least two to three days of the holiday were effectively lost, and the overall quality of the stay was significantly reduced. ________________________________________ 8. Legal Basis of the Claim Under the Montreal Convention, the carrier is liable for: β€’ delayed delivery of baggage, β€’ material damage, β€’ additional necessary expenses, β€’ inconvenience and loss caused by improper performance of the transport service. The damage suffered includes both financial losses and non-material harm, including distress, loss of comfort, and reduced quality of travel. ________________________________________ 9. Claim In light of the above, I hereby request: β€’ compensation for delayed delivery of baggage, β€’ reimbursement of incurred expenses, β€’ compensation for damaged baggage and contents, β€’ compensation for loss of enjoyment of the holiday. Total amount claimed: PLN 11,700 zΕ‚ This amount is reasonable and proportionate to the scale of the damage suffered and the extent of the airline’s failure to meet its obligations. ________________________________________ 10. Request for Response Please confirm receipt of this complaint and provide a written response detailing how you intend to resolve the matter.

Flight FR8212 from Bristol (BRS) to Wroclaw (WRO) on 3 June 2026 was scheduled to depart at 08:50 BST and arrive at 12:10 CEST. Prior to departure, Ryanair informed passengers that the aircraft had developed a technical issue requiring engineering attention. The airline confirmed that engineers were working on the aircraft and later advised that the estimated departure time had been delayed to 10:40 BST due to the ongoing technical problem. The aircraft eventually departed Bristol at approximately 13:14 BST and landed in Wroclaw at approximately 16:06 CEST. This resulted in an arrival delay of around 3 hours and 56 minutes compared with the scheduled arrival time. The reason given by Ryanair for the delay was a technical issue with the aircraft requiring repair before the flight could operate safely.

I am submitting this complaint regarding Ryanair flight from London Stansted (STN) to Milan Malpensa (MXP) on 4 June 2026. The flight was scheduled to depart at 19:15 and arrive at approximately 22:10 local time. During the evening, passengers experienced multiple delays, changes to the estimated departure time, aircraft allocation issues and gate changes. The flight eventually departed at approximately 23:20 UK time and arrived at the gate in Milan Malpensa at approximately 02:15 local time on 5 June 2026, resulting in an arrival delay exceeding three hours. Following the disruption, I submitted a compensation claim directly to Ryanair. The claim was rejected on the basis that the delay was allegedly caused by "restrictions of the airspace imposed by air traffic control services due to adverse weather at Stansted Airport on previous sectors, outside of the control of Ryanair." I respectfully dispute this decision. Ryanair has provided only a generic explanation and has not supplied any evidence demonstrating: - the specific weather conditions affecting the aircraft assigned to my flight; - the exact air traffic control restrictions that allegedly caused the delay; - the duration of such restrictions; - that the entire delay was attributable to extraordinary circumstances; - that all reasonable measures were taken to avoid or minimise the delay. Furthermore, my understanding is that other flights operating during the same period were able to depart, which raises questions as to whether the delay affecting my flight was exclusively caused by extraordinary circumstances. Under UK/EU Regulation 261/2004 and established case law, an airline must not only demonstrate the existence of extraordinary circumstances but must also prove that those circumstances could not have been avoided even if all reasonable measures had been taken. I do not believe Ryanair has discharged this burden of proof. In addition to compensation, I incurred expenses for food and refreshments during the prolonged delay. Ryanair provided a voucher worth only Β£3, which was clearly insufficient given the length of the disruption. Receipts for these expenses are attached. I therefore request that AviationADR: 1. Review Ryanair's decision. 2. Require Ryanair to provide evidence supporting its reliance on extraordinary circumstances. 3. Determine whether compensation is payable under UK/EU Regulation 261/2004.

No reason given

I am writing to formally dispute the denial of compensation for the delay of Ryanair flight FR748 (reservation no. WPQW2Q) from Riga to Vienna on July 20, 2024. The flight was delayed, which caused substantial inconvenience and disruption to my travel plans. The delay, as communicated by Ryanair, was due to an Air Traffic Control (ATC) strike (although Ryanair's application stated that the cause of the delay was a technical issue with the aircraft and not the ACT strike). While I understand that strikes may be considered extraordinary circumstances, I would like to draw your attention: 1. After reviewing the circumstances surrounding my flight, I believe this explanation may not accurately reflect the cause of the delay. Upon conducting further research, it appears that other flights operating in the same timeframe and route were not similarly affected, indicating that the ATC strike may not have been the true cause of the delay. For example Air Baltic flight 271 (BT271) operated on the same day (July 20, 2024) for the same route was not delayed. 2. To the rights outlined in Regulation (EC) No 261/2004. As per these regulations, passengers are entitled to compensation if their flight is delayed by more than three hours, unless the airline can prove with evidence that the delay was caused by extraordinary circumstances beyond its control for the mentioned flight. 3. According to the European Court of Justice, not all extraordinary circumstances exempt airlines from paying compensation. Specially, airlines MUST prove that they took all reasonable measures to avoid the delay. 4. Obligations to Passengers: As a passenger, I am entitled to compensation under Regulation (EC) No 261/2004 when flights are delayed over three hours, provided that the airline did not take all reasonable measures to avoid the delay. 5. Taking into consideration EC 261/2004 Regulation and the European Court of Justice decisions C-402/07 – C-432/07 – C-549/07 and C-6581/10 – C629/10, you are kindly requested: a) to inform me on the reason of the delay and b) provide proof (metar – notam-technical log book) documenting extraordinary circumstances or alternatively pay the relative compensation (250 euro per passenger). 6. ACT strikes cannot be reason for just Ryanair flight delay: other flights were operating on time during the same period, that suggests the ATC strike was not the real reason for the delay or it could be avoided. 7. Please note that usual technical reasons (as was mentioned in your application) are not considered extraordinary circumstances, according to European Commission notice β€œInterpretive Guidelines on Regulation (EC) No 261/2004” published at the official journal of the European Union (C 214/5/15-6-2016). Given these points, I respectfully request a re-evaluation of my claim for compensation and in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 261/2004, provide conclusive evidence that the delay was caused by extraordinary circumstances, which were unavoidable even if all reasonable measures had been taken. I kindly request the following: 1) Documentation or Evidence – Please provide official evidence that the delay was indeed caused by an ATC strike, including communication from relevant aviation authorities verifying the ATC strike affected my specific flight. 2) Further Clarification – If other flights were not similarly delayed, please explain why my flight was disproportionately affected by the ATC strike. 3) Flight Log – Please share any additional information related to the operational and technical status of my flight on that day, which may help clarify the reasons for the delay. Additionally, I quote the mentioned to the Ryanair: Detailed description: the flight from Riga to Vienna was delayed and we arrived more than 3 hours later (the scheduled arrival was at 17:15 LV time, while the plane door was still closed at 20:20 LV time - based on the judgment of Germanwings GmbH v. Ronny Henning case, in which it says that the delay is the time until the plane door opens - so it arrived more than 3h later than expected. Ryanair's application stated that the cause of the delay was a technical issue with the aircraft and not the ACT strike (I quote: Your flight FR748 from Riga to Vienna is delayed due to a minor technical issue with the aircraft earlier today. We organised a replacement aircraft to operate your flight, but this caused a delay). Technical problems are not considered force majeure unless they are the result of terrorist/sabotage or have been notified by the aircraft manufacturer or the competent authority that has banned flights. Also, ACT strikes cannot be a valid reason why the flight is delayed, because other flights of other airlines were on time, and other flights in Vienna and Riga did not have similar problems. Moreover, there is no official information that ACT strikes affected Vienna or Riga. Both video evidence and screenshots of messages from the Ryanair application are available per request. If I fail to find a solution with you, I will contact the consumer rights protection institutions and also submit a chargeback request. Due to the delay, various reservations were cancelled as well as the hotel where we were supposed to stay. Therefore, I would like to receive reasonable compensation.

Technical problems

The flight was delayed due to a change of aircraft - we were forced to disembark and change aircraft - this had nothing to do with ATC issues, despite the Ryanair claim website claiming ineligibility. We left at 22:41 and landed after 01:30 (more than 3 hours delayed)

I came from Seville because I had another flight on the same day( Palma to Brussels),When I arrived at the airport, I found out that my Ryanair flight had been cancelled due to the strike. I spent around two hours speaking with the airline staff at the airport trying to find a solution. After that, they told me to book a hotel and another flight by myself and said that I would be reimbursed later. I then spent about three more hours at the airport looking for a hotel without food because I did not have enough money with me. In the end, I had to call a friend to book the hotel for me. I went to the hotel, and the next day I booked another flight with Vueling using my own money. I also paid for the hotel and food myself. This situation caused me a lot of stress and exhaustion, especially because I was only travelling for one day and I did not have extra clothes or personal belongings with me.

I am requesting an official review and enforcement action against Ryanair for flight FR1548 on June 1, 2026 (Booking Reference: O8V79B). The carrier has rejected my EU261 claim, citing 'weather on a previous sector' (Case ID: 76882467). This is a misrepresentation of the facts. While an initial diversion from Treviso to Venice Marco Polo occurred, the flight was rescheduled to depart Marco Polo at 07:45. The threshold for a compensable delay (>3 hours) was conclusively breached because the aircraft subsequently suffered an independent, major technical fault while on the tarmac at Marco Polo. Passengers sat on board for nearly an hour with the doors open while ground engineers were called to the aircraft to repair a technical safety issue. Under CJEU case law (van der Lans v KLM, Case C-257/14), unexpected technical shortcomings are strictly inherent in the normal activity of an air carrier and do not constitute extraordinary circumstances. Furthermore, in CSBIRTAS v Air Nostrum (Case C-74/19), the European Court ruled that when a delay is caused by a combination of factors, the airline must prove that the ultimate cause of the 3+ hour delay threshold being breached was extraordinary. The weather did not cause the final 3-hour and 40-minute arrival delay; Ryanair's technical failure did. I request that the ILT order Ryanair to pay the statutory €250 compensation

I was a passenger on your flight from Barcelona to Brussels Zaventem, scheduled to arrive at 18:30. The flight was delayed and ultimately landed at Brussels Charleroi at approximately 19:30, instead of the originally booked destination. Following arrival, passengers were informed that transport would be arranged to Brussels Zaventem. However, the only solution offered was a bus departing around 22:30, resulting in a waiting time of approximately three hours after landing. This does not constitute transport under comparable conditions or within a reasonable timeframe. Given this situation, I arranged my own transport directly to my final destination, Antwerp, at my own expense. I arrived at 22:30. Based on the timing of your proposed transport, I would have reached my destination significantly later (around midnight or beyond). My decision was therefore necessary, reasonable, and proportionate. Under Article 8 of EU Regulation 261/2004, when a flight is diverted to an alternative airport serving the same city or region, the airline is required to bear the cost of transferring passengers to the airport for which the booking was made, or to another agreed destination. As timely assistance was not provided, I request full reimbursement of my transport expenses. In addition, my arrival at my final destination occurred more than three hours after the scheduled arrival time. I therefore request compensation of €250 in accordance with EU Regulation 261/2004. To summarize, I am requesting: Reimbursement of my transport costs (receipt previously provided) Compensation of €250 for the delay exceeding three hours

We presented ourselves at Venice Marco Polo Airport on time with valid travel documentation for Ryanair flight FR2899 to Manchester on 12 April 2026 but were denied boarding against our will. We did not volunteer to surrender our seats. Venice Airport later confirmed that a Europe-wide failure of the new Entry/Exit System (EES) caused severe disruption at passport control. Despite the disruption being known and ongoing, Ryanair failed to provide adequate assistance, communication, or support. Multiple attempts to contact Ryanair by telephone at the time were unsuccessful. As a direct result, we were forced to book an alternative Ryanair flight to London Stansted Airport on Tuesday 14 April 2026, arrange emergency accommodation in both Italy and Stansted, and make our own way back to Manchester Airport to collect our car. We also incurred additional transport, food, and related expenses totalling approximately Β£1,140. We arrived back in the UK approximately two days later than planned and experienced significant inconvenience and financial loss. We are seeking reimbursement and compensation under EU Regulation 261/2004.

Dear Ryanair, I am submitting a compensation claim under EU Regulation 261/2004 regarding denied boarding on flight FR3826 from Bologna to Budapest on 25 May 2026. Passenger name: Akos Grob
Booking reference (PNR): K8WQGB I arrived at the airport check-in desk at approximately 11:55, more than one hour before the scheduled departure time of 13:00. I had a valid confirmed reservation and valid travel documents. During check-in, Ryanair staff informed me that there was no seat available for me on the flight. I was denied boarding despite holding a valid ticket. I did not volunteer to give up my seat. As a result, I had to return home by bus at my own expense. The bus ticket cost was HUF 20,799. I therefore request: β€’ compensation under EU Regulation 261/2004 for involuntary denied boarding; β€’ reimbursement of my bus travel expenses. I can provide supporting documents, including my boarding document and bus ticket. Kind regards,

My original flight was scheduled for 18:05. Prior to departure, everything was in order and my boarding pass was functioning correctly. However, at approximately 17:40, I received a notification that the flight had been delayed to 18:35. Following this update, my boarding pass became locked in the app and instructed me to collect a new boarding pass at the desk. I immediately went to the boarding desk, where only two passengers were ahead of me. When it was my turn, the staff member checked my passport and phone details but then informed me that it appeared I had missed my flight. This was very confusing, especially as the airline app clearly showed the flight delay and the boarding pass issue caused by the update. I was then directed to the front desk, where I was informed that I could be rebooked on a later flight to Milan at 19:40, but no assistance would be provided for the connection to Tirana. When I asked about completing my journey to Tirana, I was told that I would need to arrange that myself. As the entire booking and intended destination was Tirana, I found this handling of the situation extremely disappointing and stressful, particularly as theI was supposed to get the flight at 18:05 and I was all sorted and fine with boarding pass working and then I got a notification at 5:40 that the plane had been delayed to 18:35 and that’s why my boarding pass locked and I had to get the boarding pass at the desk, I went down and one should and there were two people there took like 10 to 5 mins and when it was my turn she took my phone and passport and she saw everything She goes to me oooo seems like you missed your flight 😩 the moment I flight my heart beat out my ass. So I’m like but can see the app states it has been delayed and my boarding pass locked right!! She tell me to go to the front desk and I did and she was like ooo I’m sorry I can reschedule you for the next flight which is now at 7:40 to Milan but not fix in the Tirana I had asked oh what about Tirana she goes that you have to sort yourself I’m gobsmacked and like but the whole flight is to Tirana and she she goes yeah issue appears to have resulted from the delay notification and boarding pass malfunction rather than any late arrival on my part. I would appreciate your assistance in reviewing this matter and assessing my eligibility for compensation and reimbursement for the disruption caused.

Strike

I submitted a compensation/refund claim to Ryanair regarding my disrupted flight. Ryanair later confirmed by email that the payment of 526.03 GBP had allegedly been sent through Clear Junction. However, the funds were never received in my bank account. I contacted my bank (Monobank), and they confirmed that no such transfer could be located. The bank requested a valid payment tracking reference (MT103 / ARN / RRN) in order to trace the transaction. I repeatedly asked Ryanair to provide this proof of payment or to resend the funds via an alternative method (for example SEPA transfer or another card), but Ryanair refused and continued to state only that the payment had already been sent. As of today, the amount of 526.03 GBP remains unpaid. I am therefore requesting assistance in obtaining the refund/compensation owed, as well as reimbursement of the additional expenses incurred due to the flight disruption (hotel, taxi, and food costs), for which supporting receipts are attached.

Dear Passenger Rights Officer, I am filing a formal complaint against Ryanair regarding flight FR4138 from Dublin (DUB) to Burgas (BOJ) on 15 May 2026 (Booking Reference: Q178NG, Passenger: Martynas Gumbakis). Ryanair has closed my internal support ticket (Query ID 76312552) using automated templates, and I am now escalating this matter for a formal independent review under EU Regulation 261/2004. I strongly contest Ryanair’s claim that I am a standard "no-show" passenger due to personal negligence. I was denied boarding as a direct result of conflicting operational information and a severe communication failure by Ryanair's ground staff and digital application. Factual Timeline of the Incident: 1. I passed security and was physically present at the departure gate before the official gate closure time of 15:20. 2. While at the gate, Ryanair's ground staff explicitly announced to the waiting passengers that the flight was delayed by at least one hour due to operational reasons. Concurrently, the official Ryanair smartphone application updated the estimated departure time to 16:45. No specific, updated time for a secondary gate closure or secondary boarding call was provided verbally. 3. Relying in good faith on the 16:45 departure time displayed directly on Ryanair's official app interface, I remained in the immediate airport area awaiting the delayed boarding window. 4. I returned to the gate at 16:45 in exact compliance with the digital flight status, only to discover that the gate had already been locked. Airport staff claimed the aircraft had departed at 16:30. 5. Independent flight tracking data (Flightradar24 logs attached) conclusively proves the aircraft did not actually push back until 16:52 and did not take off until 17:08. Under EC 261/2004, air carriers must ensure accurate communication. A passenger cannot be penalized for relying on the airline's official app status and verbal delay announcements at the gate. I respectfully request that the IAA requests Ryanair's internal system logs to verify the app updates sent on 15 May 2026 and orders the carrier to issue the statutory €400 compensation and a full ticket refund. Kind regards, Viktorija and Martynas

ABUSE OF POWER AND NO REASON BLACKMAIL

Yesterday I was traveling with my daughter on flight FR6029 from Malta to Athens. Our boarding gate was gate 4. There was a lady who was checking the size of the luggage before boarding. We placed our backpacks in the special slot and she insisted that the size was wrong and asked us to pay 60 euros. However, our backpack was correct and fit perfectly in the measuring slot. We also had a bag from the airport with food, some essential items that were needed, and some small gifts. She told us that these too were considered personal items and that we had to put them inside the backpack. We started to confront her. We told her again and again that the backpack fit into the measuring slot and she said that she wouldn't let us board if we didn't pay. She called security because she didn't like our behavior. We should have already boarded the plane and she was threatening that if we didn't pay she wouldn't allow us to board. The security also came to watch over us. We had become a spectacle in front of all the airport. Our flight was supposed to take off in 15 minutes and we were still on the ground trying to explain the obvious. The situation was absurd. My daughter asked for someone else to come and check the size of our backpacks. And so it happened, and it was confirmed the obvious: that our backpacks were the correct size. The ladies at the checkpoint had my passport and my phone with the boarding pass. The new employee who checked our backpacks also wouldn’t let me board unless I apologized to the first employee because I raised my voice at her since I was right and she was telling me something absurd. I told her that she should apologize to me for making me suffer for so long for no reason and asking me to pay a fine without cause just because she considered herself to have the authority to do so. I have a heart problem and panic attacks that raise my heart rate significantly when I get stressed. The security officer was blocking our access to the bus that would take us to our airplane with arms crossed on the chest. The first employee who made a mistake regarding the size of our backpacks was sitting in front of me waiting for my apology. The second employee, who noticed that our backpacks were the correct size, demanded that I apologize in order to allow us to board our flight. At that moment, with all these people around me and in front of my daughter, I thought I had lost my passport and my phone, and I had a panic attack while everyone around me was shouting for me to apologize. I couldn't breathe. My panic attack was getting worse. My daughter was trying to communicate with me. I was looking around to find my phone and my passport. The security was stone-still, not letting me move. The crowd at the airport was watching us. The people on the bus that would take us to the airplane were watching us and waiting. My daughter handed me my phone and the passport I thought I had lost, and I started trying to calm down and slow my heartbeat, which I thought was going to burst.I was forced to apologize so that they would let us travel I am ashamed. I really am ashamed. First of all, for myself, because I had a panic attack in public and couldn't control it. I am ashamed that we became a spectacle in front of people. But I am also ashamed as a person that there are people who think they have power over us, which was given to them BY YOU, and can treat us as if we were trash, criminals. We boarded the plane, but obviously due to all the delay, the pilot informed us that we would remain on the ground for 30 minutes until a runway was given to him. I cried throughout the journey out of shame and tried to read my book about the life of Saint Ephraim to calm down, without succeeding. I considered it appropriate before publishing my experience regarding the practices of your employees, the shame, the violation of our dignity, the imposition of supposed authority over us, to inform you about it so that you can take the necessary measures. We are honest people and no one should treat us in this way without reason. I demand that a responsible person apologizes for what happened and that you do whatever is necessary so that similar incidents do not occur to us or to anyone else.

Myself and my husband got a taxi from our hotel in Salou to the airport which cost 35 euro, the Ryanair app said the flight was on time. We went through security and sat and had a drink. Then the app stated the new estimated departure time was 18:00, then we were told to board through gate 8. We made our way to gate 8 and were left standing for a long time withoutany updateonwhatwas happening. We eventually got on the aircraft and the pilot explained the delay was due to a technical issue with the aircraft and they had to fly an engineer from Barcelona but the issue couldn't be resolved which meant we had to take a longer route. We were sitting there and then the pilot announced that because of the longer route they had to take, they realised they hadn't got enough fuel and would need to refuel. After refuel we thought we were finally on route but then the pilot announced that because of the disruption some passengers had decided they wanted to disembark, their luggage then had to be located. No passenger onboard the aircraft was offered as much as a bottle of water. Our departure time was 17.10 and we eventually departed at 20.32 and our landing time was 18.45 and we eventually landed safely in Dublin airport at 23.06, 4 hours 21 mins late.

Flight was delayed for more then 4 hours. I place a claim with ryanair. They replied with a notice saying it was due to a medical emergency out of their control. This is a lie. We were delayed due to a technical problem with the plane. When we did finally get on onto the plane the pilot told us that after waiting on an engineer to come from Barcelona that the problem was unable to be fixed and we would need to fly a longer way home because of it . Then the plane needed to be refuelled yet again. Around 10 people decided to get off because of this and we again needed to wait to unload their bags . There was not a medical emergency

I waited at the corridor above the boarding area in Schiphol Airport at Gate H4. The plane was delayed by 35 minutes according to Airport information, but not according to Ryanair app. Due to difficulty standing for long periods (hip replacement) I waited upstairs until the plane had arrived and people started boarding. When I got downstairs to the checkin desk a queue of around 100 people was still snaking towards the gate. Myself and around 6 others were cut off by the ground crew that the boarding gate was now closed and we were too late. We were told to wait for a supervisor who arrived while around 20-30 passengers were still boarding the plane. We were told in no uncertain terms that staff were following new Ryanair procedures and we woiuld not be allowed to board because we were too late. Obviously there would have been plenty of time to let us board but we were denied, and we were told we would just have to book another flight. I ended up having to book a new flight and stay the night in the Netherlands - luckily I could stay with family in Driebergen. The flight I missed was back home to Dublin where I live, I was back in the Netherlands briefly for a family berievement.

Problems at airport

This trip was planned for my birthday. My flight was delayed for approximately 11–12 hours, forcing me to remain at the airport for an extended period of time. Due to the excessive delay, I was ultimately unable to continue my trip and lost my hotel reservation as well as other travel-related expenses. After boarding the aircraft, passengers were verbally informed that the delay was caused by a technical issue involving the emergency exit door, which required the airline to replace the aircraft. However, Ryanair later rejected my compensation request and claimed that the delay was caused by adverse weather conditions. This explanation does not match the information communicated directly to passengers at the airport and onboard the aircraft. I also incurred additional out-of-pocket expenses during the delay and I am able to provide proof of payment and booking confirmations.

Good afternoon, upon checking in, me and other passengers were requested to measure their baggage - which was okay at first. As it was my turn, the RyanAir employee immediately told me that my bag is too big and I must pay 46€ - even though it fit and I even showed her the official measures of my backpack. I desperately tried to show her that it fits but apparently only the very smallest bags of passengers were not charged. Many other passengers had the similar experience. I have even be verbally attacked by the Ryan Air employee that I ruin "her" baggage measuring device (I just removed my bag...). I have never had a bad experience like that with an airline ever before. Kindly check the size of my backpack- Decathlon Forclaz Travel500 40l - I have just bought it because it is convenient hand luggage. Thank you very much in advance for taking my complaint seriously! Violation of rules and impolite communication

Good afternoon, upon checking in to my flight FR4980 in Milano Bergamo, I and several other passengers were requested to measure their baggage - which was okay at first. When it was my turn, my backpack fit inside and I even showed the employee the measures of my backpack and that it is suitable for hand luggage. She did not accept it because it "appeared big" - even though it fit inside. I tried cordially to talk to her but she was very rude to me and forced me to pay 46€ immediately. I was once a frequent flyer with Ryanair but thjs experience ruined my trust to this company fully. I had never been treated this way before, it is hard to put into words. You can check "Decathlon Forclaz Travel500 40 Liter" with the size 55x32Γ—27 - I only bought it due to its flight friendly size... I kindly ask you to issue me a refund for this incident. Thank you and best regards, Lukas Schagl

Ryanair Flight Disruption Timeline and Compensation Statement Outbound Flight Details Airline: Ryanair Ticket payment date: 8 April Departure airport: Manchester Airport Destination airport: Ibiza Airport Departure date: 8 April Scheduled departure time: 5:30am Return Flight Details Departure airport: Ibiza Airport Destination airport: Manchester Airport Return date: 10 April Scheduled departure time: 3:15pm Denied Boarding Incident On 10 April, the passenger arrived at Ibiza Airport in good time for the scheduled 3:15pm return flight to Manchester. The passenger held a valid paid ticket, had complied with all check-in and boarding requirements, and had every reasonable expectation of returning home to Manchester as booked. Despite this, Ryanair staff informed the passenger that boarding would not be permitted because the flight had been oversold and all seats had already been allocated. As a result, the passenger was denied boarding involuntarily, despite having a confirmed reservation. The passenger was then advised that the only available alternative flight would not depart until 8:45pm, several hours later than originally booked, and would arrive in London rather than Manchester. This caused major disruption and distress. Instead of arriving home as planned, the passenger was left stranded, faced with an extended delay, and forced to make further arrangements to travel from London back to Manchester at their own expense. The inconvenience caused was significant and entirely avoidable. The passenger experienced: Loss of time Additional travel costs Stress and uncertainty Disruption to personal plans and commitments Fatigue caused by extended travel and waiting times The burden of arranging onward travel without assistance The passenger had paid for transport to Manchester and did not receive the service purchased. Failure to Provide Assistance Ryanair did not make suitable arrangements for the passenger following the denied boarding. In particular, no assistance was provided in relation to: Transport from London back to Manchester Accommodation if required Meals or refreshments during the waiting period Information regarding compensation rights Reimbursement for additional expenses incurred Legal Basis for Compensation This appears to be a clear case of involuntary denied boarding due to overbooking. Under retained UK and EU passenger rights legislation, including UK261 and EC Regulation 261/2004, airlines are required to compensate passengers who are denied boarding against their will when they hold a valid ticket and have complied with the airline’s conditions. In addition to fixed compensation, airlines are also required to provide care and assistance, including meals, refreshments, accommodation where necessary, and transport arrangements. Where a passenger is rerouted to a different airport or city from the original booking, the airline is also expected to cover the reasonable cost of onward transport to the booked destination. In this case, the passenger paid for a direct return journey to Manchester but was instead transported to London several hours later, with no meaningful assistance or reimbursement offered. The passenger therefore seeks compensation not only for the denied boarding itself, but also for the additional inconvenience, delay, expense and distress caused by Ryanair’s failure to honour the original booking. Requested Resolution The passenger seeks: Compensation for involuntary denied boarding Reimbursement of transport costs from London to Manchester Reimbursement of any meals, refreshments or incidental costs incurred A written explanation from Ryanair regarding the overbooking and denied boarding Confirmation of the passenger’s rights under UK261 and EC261 regulations

Claim escalated to airline

Freddie Sutcliffe and I were denied boarding for our flight from Malaga to Manchester that we’d due to depart at 10:40 on 12/04/26. The only next flight to Manchester was 2 days later on 14/04/26 at 05:45. In this time we had expenses totalling €395.98, this is the total expenses for the 2 of us. Ryanair at the time said we were also entitled to €400 each, however we have not received any payments.

Influence by other flights

The plane was canceled because the Ukrainian presidential plane was supposed to land at the same time as ours. They closed the airport. I have photos of our plane parked next to the president's plane.
