Technical problems

I was advised that the delay was due to a fire near Pisa airport, then as the delay increased, I was advised that the delay was due to a technical fault g a replacement aircraft was being resourced. 96 hrs later on Ryanair app they declare the delay was due to ATC issues. I cannot find any information regarding this ATC issue.

Terrible costume service…..

Dear Ryanair Customer Service, I am writing regarding my flight today from London Stansted to Paphos (FR3131). During the inspection of my cabin bag, I was charged Β£75 (€86.85), despite being entitled to a 10kg cabin bag through my priority boarding purchase. My suitcase weighed only 7.6kg and was therefore within the permitted weight allowance. I was informed that the charge was applied because the suitcase did not meet the required dimensions, as the front fabric compartment was slightly open at the time of inspection. However, once I properly closed it, the suitcase fully complied with the permitted dimensions. Despite this, the staff refused to reassess the situation and proceeded with the baggage charge. I consider this treatment unacceptable and unprofessional, especially considering that I have been travelling with Ryanair for years without ever encountering a similar issue. I kindly request that you review this incident and proceed with a refund of the amount that was unfairly charged. I look forward to your response as soon as possible. Yours sincerely, Nikoleta Panagiotou

Problems at airport

I contest your rejection of my claims. Flight FR354 was diverted. Due to the lack of transport to Berlin, I was forced to take a train at my own expense. My checked bag did not arrive and was delivered to Berlin 8 days later, severely damaged: carry handle torn off, locks broken, and contents accessed. I discarded the suitcase at the airport as it was unusable. Ryanair refused to reimburse my train expenses and blocked my baggage claim submission. The official baggage form repeatedly returned an error: β€œThe customer name submitted does not match any customer name in the reservation,” despite using the exact details from my boarding pass. I reported this technical failure to your support, but received no assistance. Instead, you keep closing my case and redirecting me to ADR. I demand reimbursement for the train ticket and the damaged suitcase. I have attached the PIR, proof of the train expense, photos of the damage (taken before disposal), and screenshots of the non-functioning claim form. This is my formal request to process these claims.

I will paste the exact claim that I have already sent to Ryanair. Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint and seek compensation regarding my denied boarding on flight FR699 from Vienna (VIE) to Athens (ATH), scheduled on 14 April 2026 (13:35–16:45), under booking reference G5RI2U. Despite having checked in four pieces of luggage (3 x 10kg and 1 x 20kg) and arriving at the boarding gate on time in full compliance with the stated boarding procedures, I was denied boarding at the final stage prior to embarkation. The reason provided by your staff was the presence of a power bank in my checked baggage. While I fully acknowledge that such items may be subject to safety restrictions when placed in hold luggage, the issue in this case is not the existence of the item itself, but rather your staff’s complete failure to provide me with a reasonable opportunity to remove it and comply with applicable safety requirements. I wish to formally highlight the following serious deficiencies in the handling of this matter: 1. **Failure to Provide Opportunity to Remedy the Issue** I was not informed of any issue at the check-in counter, during baggage drop, or via any airport announcement. I was only notified at the boarding gate, moments before boarding, at which point I was denied any opportunity to access my checked baggage and remove the item. This constitutes an unreasonable and disproportionate response. 2. **Lack of Assistance and Re-routing** Following the denial of boarding, no assistance was provided in accordance with your obligations. No alternative flight options, re-routing, or guidance were offered. I was left to resolve the situation entirely on my own. 3. **Financial Loss** Due to the urgency of my travel, particularly in light of my mother’s medical condition requiring my presence in Athens by the following morning, I was forced to purchase a new ticket on the same day at significant personal expense. I hereby request full reimbursement of this cost. 4. **Distress and Inadequate Handling of a Sensitive Situation** I explicitly informed your staff that my presence in Athens was essential due to my mother’s medical condition and that I needed to travel with my parents. Despite this, my situation was not taken into consideration. As a result of your staff’s handling, a stress-inducing situation was created, in which my elderly parents were forced to continue their journey alone under significant emotional pressure. We were given only a matter of minutes to make a decision under these circumstances, leading to unnecessary distress and emotional strain for all parties involved. This situation could and should have been handled in a more reasonable and considerate manner. 5. **Failure to Provide Written Notice of Rights** Upon being denied boarding, I explicitly requested written confirmation of the reasons for refusal, as well as information regarding my passenger rights. This request was refused. This constitutes a clear breach of your obligations under Article 14 of Regulation (EC) No 261/2004, which requires carriers to provide passengers with written notice of their rights in such situations. In light of the above, and pursuant to Regulation (EC) No 261/2004, I hereby request: * Fixed compensation in the amount of €400 for denied boarding * Full reimbursement of the replacement flight ticket purchased * Reimbursement of any additional expenses incurred as part of your duty of care obligations Please note that the denial of boarding in this instance cannot reasonably be justified as a safety-based refusal, given that I was not provided any opportunity to rectify the issue and comply with safety requirements. For completeness and in support of my claim, I attach the following documents: – My boarding pass for flight FR699 – Booking confirmation and receipt for the original round-trip booking – The receipt and confirmation of the replacement flight ticket I was forced to purchase – A recent medical report relating to my mother’s condition, supporting the fact that she is in a vulnerable situation and required assistance during travel. Ξ™ would also like to note that I have already submitted this complaint via your official customer service platform under reference number 75117553. I kindly request a prompt and satisfactory resolution of this matter within 7 days. Failing this, I will proceed with escalation to the relevant enforcement bodies, including the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority and the competent Austrian authorities, and will consider further legal action if necessary. I look forward to your prompt response. Yours faithfully, Souli Georgianna

They said that we were one minute late and the plane was leaving at 16:15. We were there at 15:40. We weren’t late There were people still leaving and the bus was still there. They offered no help at all. I missed a day of work and we had an extra 400€+ in expenses (hotel, flixbus, two plane tickets). The flight back to Brussels on 02/05 is booked so we have to go to Amsterdam and then take a bus back to Brussels. The woman who didn’t allow us to board was on the phone all the time and the man next to her didn’t care at all. They said that we would have to pay €200 extra if we wanted to board the flight to Amsterdam tonight .

Terrible service checkindesk

On Monday 27-04-2026 at 19.50h we travelled from Olbia airport to Charleroi. 2 parents and 4 children. We tried several times to do the online check-in upfront via the Ryanair app and via de website. However every time we got an error due to the age of my daughter. Finaly we tried on the day of travel several times to do the online check-in, without success. On the travel day we did further online research and found out that it’s a known error at Ryanair. Due to the fact that our daughter turned 16 on the day of travel it’s not possible to do the online check in. Due to this reason the check-in for all other family members was also blocked. On the day of travel we tried to call the helpdesk for a solution (see screenshot), unfortunately we did not succeed to get any helpdesk employee on the line. After this we tried to solve it via the chat helpdesk, unfortunately the AI bot did not come with a solution. For this reason we travelled early to the airport and arrived 3 hours before our flight to go to the Ryanair helpdesk/check-in desk, unfortunately their was no staff available. 2 hours before the flight the Ryanair desk opened and we asked for support. Here we were very unhappy surprised with the notification that the only way to solve it was to pay 330 Euro for offline check-in procedure. We clearly indicated at the desk that this was really not acceptable as the Ryanair know error in the online check-in is not our fault. We asked several times for a solution but were treated very unpolite. After a long discussion the desk staff even threatened to call the police if we didn't go away from the desk / paid for the offline check-in. Long story short, it feels unfair how we were treated at the desk and that we have to pay for an error which is part of the Ryanair online check-in system. It’s not our fault that we were not able to go through the online check-in process and we would like to ask you for a full refund of the charged costs. In addition the behavior and unhuman support of the staff at the desk and the very stressful situation at this desk ruined our daughters 16th birthday. We trust on the values of Ryanair and are looking forward to a proper handling of our claim. Attachments: payment proof, screenshot with proof of our call to the Ryanair +31 20 323 33 62 (2) on the day of travel, screenshot of the chat gpt information about the error (source Ryanair website)

Influence by other flights

Passenger’s Final Comments – EU261 Claim Flight: FR4595 Route: Sarajevo (SJJ) – Girona (GRO) Date: 1 December 2025 Scheduled arrival: 21:30 Actual arrival: approximately 12:15 on 2 December 2025 Total delay: 1034 minutes (approximately 17 hours) I respectfully dispute Ryanair’s defence concerning the delay to flight FR4595. 1. Reactionary aircraft rotation does not constitute extraordinary circumstances Ryanair has attributed the delay to β€œReactionary – Aircraft Rotation (93)”. This operational delay code indicates that the delay resulted from disruption earlier in the aircraft’s schedule rather than from circumstances directly affecting flight FR4595 itself. Under Regulation (EC) No 261/2004, reactionary delays do not automatically constitute extraordinary circumstances. Where an airline relies on disruption to an earlier sector, it must demonstrate both: 1. The specific extraordinary circumstance affecting the earlier flight, and 2. That the resulting delay to the passenger’s flight could not have been avoided even if all reasonable measures had been taken. The burden of proof rests entirely with the airline, as confirmed by the Court of Justice of the European Union in Wallentin-Hermann v Alitalia. 2. Failure to identify the alleged extraordinary circumstance Ryanair has not provided any operational evidence substantiating its defence. In particular, the airline has not identified: β€’ the aircraft registration used for FR4595 β€’ the preceding flight(s) in the aircraft rotation β€’ the nature of the alleged extraordinary circumstance affecting those flights β€’ any meteorological reports or operational documentation supporting the claim Without this information it is impossible to verify whether an extraordinary circumstance actually occurred. A generic reference to aircraft rotation does not discharge the airline’s burden of proof under Regulation (EC) No 261/2004. 3. Failure to demonstrate reasonable mitigation measures Even where extraordinary circumstances occur, airlines remain obliged to take all reasonable measures to minimise the delay to passengers. The Court confirmed in EglΔ«tis and Ratnieks v Latvijas Republikas Ekonomikas ministrija that airlines must organise their resources in such a way as to limit the consequences of extraordinary circumstances. In this case, the delay to flight FR4595 was 1034 minutes (approximately 17 hours). Ryanair has provided no explanation as to why such a prolonged delay could not have been mitigated through operational measures such as: β€’ aircraft substitution β€’ fleet reallocation β€’ use of reserve aircraft β€’ rerouting passengers on alternative services Given the length of the delay and the absence of supporting evidence, it appears more likely that the disruption resulted from ordinary operational scheduling constraints rather than unavoidable extraordinary circumstances. 4. Weather conditions did not prevent operations Meteorological reports for Sarajevo on 1 December 2025 indicate relatively stable weather conditions, including light winds and moderate visibility. There is no evidence that weather conditions directly prevented the operation of flight FR4595 or required airport closure. Furthermore, flights continued to operate at both Sarajevo and Girona airports during the relevant period, indicating that airport operations remained possible. This further undermines the suggestion that extraordinary weather conditions prevented the operation of the flight. 5. Entitlement to compensation Passengers arrived at their destination approximately 17 hours after the scheduled arrival time, far exceeding the three-hour threshold required for compensation under Article 7 of Regulation (EC) No 261/2004. As Ryanair has not demonstrated that the delay was caused by extraordinary circumstances that could not have been avoided even if all reasonable measures had been taken, compensation remains payable. For flights under 1,500 km, the compensation due is €250 per passenger. Passengers on this booking were: β€’ Alyssa Bedard β€’ Rebecca Joy Shoppy β€’ Claire Fitzpatrick 6. Failure to provide rerouting or assistance Due to the prolonged delay and the absence of assistance at Sarajevo Airport overnight, we were unable to obtain rerouting support from Ryanair. Online and live customer service channels were also unavailable at the time. As a result, we were forced to arrange our own alternative travel in order to reach Spain within a reasonable timeframe. The following reasonable expenses were incurred solely due to Ryanair’s failure to provide rerouting at the earliest opportunity as required under Article 8 of Regulation (EC) No 261/2004: β€’ SJJ – STN: €74.81 β€’ STN – ALC: €76.08 β€’ UK ETA (required for transit): €18.45 per person - total of €55.35 These expenses were necessary to reach Spain within a reasonable timeframe and should therefore be reimbursed. 7. Conclusion Ryanair has attributed the delay to β€œReactionary – Aircraft Rotation (93)” but has not provided the operational evidence necessary to substantiate this defence. In particular, the airline has not identified the earlier flight allegedly affected, the specific extraordinary circumstance involved, or the reasonable measures taken to mitigate the disruption. Accordingly, Ryanair has not discharged the burden of proof required under Regulation (EC) No 261/2004 and the case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union. I therefore respectfully request that ADR determine that: 1. Compensation of €250 per passenger is payable under Article 7 of Regulation (EC) No 261/2004. 2. The reasonable rerouting expenses incurred should be reimbursed under Article 8. Dear Ryanair, I am submitting an EU261 claim regarding flight FR4595 from Sarajevo (SJJ) to Barcelona Girona (GRO), scheduled to depart 1 December 2025 at 19:10. The flight departed approximately 17 hours late on 2 December 2025 (scheduled departure 19:10, actual departure approx. 12:15). Booking references: M6ZV2B / R4PVNX. Passengers: Alyssa Bedard, Rebecca Joy Shoppy, Claire Fitzpatrick. Ryanair stated the delay was due to adverse weather on a previous sector. Knock-on delays do not constitute extraordinary circumstances under EU261 unless all reasonable measures were taken. Multiple flights were operating at both SJJ and GRO during this period, and no evidence has been provided that extraordinary circumstances directly prevented FR4595 from operating. I therefore request €250 compensation per passenger under Article 7 of EU261. Due to the prolonged delay, we missed onward travel. Ryanair’s email offered the option to β€œchange your delayed flight for free,” however no airport support was available overnight in Sarajevo, and online/live support was unavailable. I attempted both respectively, and the staff at the airport informed me that the airport was closing and could not assist with rebooking. I then tried the online/live support offered, which was also after-hours and unavailable. As a result, and in line with Articles 8 and 9, we were forced to arrange our own reasonable rerouting: β€’ SJJ–STN (RK4582): €74.81 β€’ STN–ALC (FR2505): €76.08 β€’ UK ETA (transit): €18.45 x 3 people = €55.35 I request: 1. €250 compensation per passenger 2. Reimbursement of the above rerouting costs (€206.24) Kind regards, Alyssa Bedard alyssa.bedard99@gmail.com Airline did not care or do the due diligence in making sure we were supported and able to rebook. Incredible inconvenience and I missed a whole day's wages at work as well. We had to rebook everything because we missed our other flight to Alicante from Girona. At the end, we arrived to Alicante at around 10:55pm the following day after our scheduled flight. I'm including other information from research I did below in case that's helpful: (I submitted the following to Ryanair) Dear Ryanair, I am submitting an EU261 claim regarding flight FR4595 from Sarajevo (SJJ) to Barcelona Girona (GRO), scheduled to depart 1 December 2025 at 19:10. Impossible check-in Ryanair Prime trap

Since I subscribed the Ryanair Prime program I face impossibilities to check-in on the website nor the phone app. Despite repetitive complains and request during months no solution were found I had to repetivelly apply for unblokking the issuance of the tickets at the airport By long phone calls and explanation every 24 hours before these flights and queuing at the airport for issuance of these tickets. For my last flight things escalated as the help desk refused this time to acknowledge the IT problem I am facing due to problems in Ryanair IT system and did not issue the free delivery at Brussels airport. I had than to pay en undue 55 euros charge for the issuance of the ticket and when paid, received the information that no seat were available anymore despite the fact that I did it 3 hours before the take off time. Hopefully the crew managed to find a seat but I would like to be reimbursed. The problem also have to be fixed before my remaining Ryanair PRIME flights (8).

Ryanair's automated system rejected my claim citing weather conditions, but this is factually inaccurate. The primary and initial cause of the delay was a severe ground handling error. We were delayed for about 2 hours right at the beginning because the crew announced that they forgot to unload the previous passengers' baggage from the aircraft hold. We had to wait on board while they fixed this. The weather conditions were fine in my opinion and not severe enough to justify a delay. The total delay upon arrival exceeded 3 hours, directly driven by Ryanair's own operational negligence and ground handling failure, not weather

Rude staff. Accidents and misunderstandings happen but decent people in a normal world would want to help

In April 2014 I flew from Manchester to Lanzarote. I was flying on my own with my baby, then 1 year 2 months old, still not even toddling, and we were meeting my mum there. I took the pushchair and a sling. On the outbound flight I flew with Jet2. I checked in the pushchair so I didn't have to take it to the plane door and I carried my baby in the sling. Once landed I picked up the pushchair and suitcase from the conveyor belt with no trouble. On the return flight, this time with Ryanair, I did exactly the same: I checked in the pushchair with the intention of picking it up alongside the suitcase (I was told), and I carried my baby in the sling through the airport. Once the plane landed, I took my time to put my baby back in the sling correctly, so I was the last person out. I took my time because, having to go down steep steps, I wanted to avoid any accidents. To my surprise, when I went down the steps my pushchair was there, folded as I'd left it at the counter, at the bottom of the steps. I questioned the staff, who said they knew nothing, and went into the terminal building. I was dismayed when I saw a long flight of stairs but then I noticed a lift. However this was locked. When I asked, I was told I couldn't use it. Not because it was out of service, it simply wasn't supposed to be used by the public, or at least by me. I returned to the plane to ask them how I was supposed to make my way up the stairs. Their reply was "you should have planned better". I was gobsmacked. Better? Better than carrying my baby in a sling so I didn't have a problem with stairs or escalators? Better than checking the pushchair well in advance so I could pick it up alongside my suitcase from the conveyor belt? Luckily a gentleman - I can't remember who he was, whether land personnel or from a different company, was polite and compassionate enough to give me a hand, and between the two of us (I still holding a baby in a sling) could take the pushchair up. That was the last time, however, that I used Ryanair and vowed that, if there was any other alternative at all, I would avoid it. That behaviour had nothing to do with cost of status, it was basic lack of human decency. This story happened over a decade ago, but I still wanted to let you know.

Influence by other flights

Ryanair delayed the flight by 20h, we received the information by text message while already in Uber to the airport (around 2,5h in advance). No information about the reason of the delay was provided in mailing or texting in any written communication with impacted passengers. The postponed delayed flight next day was also postponed a few more times (between 17:30 as initially informed to the final departure after 22:00). When trying to claim the compensation via their website Ryanair rejected the request giving the reason of bad weather for prior flights that would impact our flight (spill over effect). We landed about 24h hours later than planned losing one of 2 days in Dubrovnik and wasting booking in a hotel that we could not use. We received information about the delay, 4x vouchers per 60 SEK per person. The log from AIRPORTIA shows status en route as if we were on time but we were practically late by 24h nearly.

Flight delay β†’ care issue / expenses

I am submitting a complaint regarding a failure of the airline to provide the required standard of care under EU261 regulations. My flight was delayed by over 2 hours. During this time, passengers were kept inside the aircraft and were not allowed to leave. No food or drinks were provided at any point during the delay, and no adequate communication was given. As passengers were confined to the aircraft, it was not possible to purchase refreshments independently. This represents a failure by the airline to meet its obligation to provide care during a delay. I raised this issue directly with Ryanair, however, my complaint was not properly addressed, and I received only generic responses. The airline refused to provide any compensation or resolution. I am requesting that this matter is reviewed and that appropriate compensation or goodwill gesture is awarded due to the lack of care provided. Kind regards

No reason given

I want to appeal an EU261 decision made by Ryanair for a claim I made for a delayed flight on 14th February, 2026. The reference ID number for the case is 72992431 I was travelling to London Stansted from Ireland West Airport Knock on flight FR804, booking reference ORJDSV. The aircraft wasa Boeing 737-800, registration SP-RKE,and callsign RYR86FT. The flight’s departure was delayed by 4 hours, 47 minutes, and it’s landing delayed by 4 hours, 26 minutes. When we were boarded, the aircraft developed an issue with the interior lighting, a no-go safety item. The crew tried to reset the system a couple of times and when that didn’t work, they then powered down the aircraft to see if a total reboot with work. It didn’t! At some stage, an aircraft engineer was summoned. He arrived at the aircraft sometime after 5.00pm and eventually repaired the fault, after which he went on to perform some tests in order to hand the aircraft back to the captain. I made a claim on the Ryanair website for a delay of over two hours, as per EU261 guidelines (article 6, section 1, part (a)), and was turned down on the grounds of adverse weather. There wasn’t any mention of the fault with the aircraft which took up the first couple of hours of the delay, past the two hours that would trigger a claim for compensation. The adverse weather didn’t play a part in the delay until after the aircraft was handed back to the captain, after some testing and paperwork had been completed. At no stage during our wait were we offered any refreshments. At 8.30pm, I requested some water to take my epilepsy medication and was asked to pay for a small bottle of water. I didn’t mind the cost, but I was appalled that I was asked to pay in the first place. Thankfully, the lady in the seat beside me had some water, which she gave to me. Incidentally, I happened to meet another passenger a few weeks later and he informed me that he was given a bottle of water with the compliments of one of the cabin crew. I have downloaded the audio files for the tower at EIKN, specifically the hours that the aircraft was on the ground. It is quite clear that the crew didn’t request flight clearance from the tower until 18:18, two hours and eight minutes after the official departure time. I can forward the appropriate audio file, if this will clear up the confusion. I do admit that bad weather prolonged the delay after the aircraft lighting issue had been repaired, but this did not affect the delay for the issue itself, which was beyond the two-hour limit set out in EU261. In other words, if the day was fine and sunny, the flight would still have been delayed beyond the EU261 threshold.

They are claiming that it was due to bad weather, but it was completely sunny both in London and in Bologna that day. In fact, the previous flight left without an issue FR195: https://www.flightaware.com/live/flight/RYR195/history/20260320/0810Z/LIPE/EGSS. We were supposed to leave at 10:25 to Luton - but then it started getting delayed further and further with no explanation whatsoever. At some point one of the passenger said that he heard that was because the departing plane was delayed due to malfunction.

Unjust Cabin Baggage Fee – Refund Request (€60)

I was charged under pressure at the gate despite complying with baggage size after adjustment. Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to formally submit a complaint regarding an incident that occurred during my recent flight from Malta to Thessaloniki (Flight Number: FR7131, Date: 29/03/26) At approximately 07:30, while boarding at the departure gate, I was asked by your staff present to place my backpack into the baggage sizer to verify compliance with the permitted dimensions. Initially, my bag did not fit, so I briefly removed a few items and placed them into a friend’s suitcase, who was traveling with me. After doing so, my backpack fit within the required size limits. Despite this, your staff insisted that I was still required to pay an additional fee of €60, stating that transferring items was not allowed. I explained my position, however I was informed that the charge was mandatory. Due to the imminent boarding and the risk of missing my flight, I was forced to pay the fee under protest. Furthermore, when I requested the names of the staff members involved, they refused to provide them, which I consider unprofessional and contrary to basic customer service standards. I would also like to note that the incident can be verified through your airport’s security cameras at the boarding gate at the specified time. Based on the above, I believe this charge was unjustified, as my baggage complied with the airline’s size policy at the time of boarding. I kindly request a full refund of the €60 fee and a formal review of this incident. If my request is not satisfactorily resolved, I will be obliged to escalate the matter to the relevant consumer protection authorities. Please find attached all relevant documentation, including proof of payment and flight details. I look forward to your prompt response. Malta Airport debacle, having risked my own safety to protect your staff

I am writing to formally register my complaint regarding a deeply unsatisfactory experience on my return flight from Malta to Manchester. BAGGAGE CHARGES On our outbound flight from Manchester to Malta, my wife and I carried the same small bags without any issue whatsoever. On our return journey, we were both pulled aside and charged €120 for identical baggage. This is wholly inconsistent and, in my view, an unfair and arbitrary application of your policy. I also observed another passenger carrying a backpack on both his front and back in addition to a carry-on bag, who was not challenged in any way. VIOLENT INCIDENT AT MALTA AIRPORT During the boarding process at Malta, a passenger became physically aggressive toward your staff. I personally intervened to assist. I am appalled that this individual faced no consequences whatsoever and was permitted to board the flight. This represents a serious failure in your duty of care to both passengers and staff. MISSING PROPERTY Upon arrival at Manchester, I discovered that my Ray-Ban sunglasses, valued at Β£500, were missing from my belongings. I expect this to be treated as a matter of urgency and investigated fully. IN-FLIGHT EXPERIENCE The behaviour of certain passengers during the flight was wholly unacceptable. When I raised this with a member of your cabin crew, I was dismissed and told to sit down. This response was both rude and wholly inadequate. I am requesting the following: 1. A full refund of the €120 baggage charge 2. Compensation for my missing Ray-Ban sunglasses (Β£500) 3. A written explanation of the incident at Malta airport and the actions taken 4. A formal apology for the conduct of your cabin crew I have given you this opportunity to respond before I instruct my solicitor and pursue this matter through the appropriate legal and regulatory channels, including a complaint to the Civil Aviation Authority. I expect a response within 4 days. Yours faithfully,

I was involved in distressing incident at Warsaw Modlin International Airport (WMI) involving one of the Ryanair ground staff members (ID 3470). At approximately 7:10 PM, I attempted to board my flight FR1835. During the boarding process, I was stopped regarding an additional bag. I explicitly stated that I was willing to pay the necessary oversized or additional baggage fees immediately to comply with Ryanair policy. Despite my cooperation and offer of payment, the staff member (ID 3470) behaved in a highly discriminatory manner. After a conversation lasting less than one minute, they unilaterally refused to process the payment and summarily denied me boarding. The staff member then proceeded to close the gate prematurely, leaving me stranded at the airport despite being present and willing to resolve the issue. I find this behavior to be a significant breach of professional standards and a violation of my rights as a passenger. The refusal to accept a standard payment for luggage - combined with the discriminatory tone of the interaction - resulted in unnecessary financial loss and travel disruption. Based on the above, I am requesting the following: A full investigation into the conduct of the staff member with ID 3470 at Gate 1. A full refund of my ticket price and any additional costs incurred due to this denial of boarding (e.g., replacement flights, transport, or accommodation). Compensation as per UK/EU 261 regulations for denied boarding, as I was present at the gate on time and prepared to comply with baggage requirements. I have documented the time and the staff ID clearly and expect a formal response regarding how this matter will be resolved. Sincerely, Geoff Sang +44 7493743373 Booking reference E4N48X

My name is Silvia Munoz Caller ID38820379J, residing at mare de deu dels angels 43 Barcelona. I am writing to lodge a formal complaint regarding the events that took place on 21/03/2026 at Venice Marco Polo Airport in connection with flight FR 866 to Barcelona, booking reference SSYZ6V. I would like to state that I arrived at the boarding gate for flight FR 866 on time, within the required deadline and with my boarding pass ready. At the boarding gate, a member of Ryanair staff informed me that I had to pay a fee for excess baggage. While I was looking for my card to make the payment, the gate agent started a countdown from 10 to 1, telling me that if I did not find the card within that very short time, she would close the gate and I would not be allowed to board. Due to the pressure and stress caused by this countdown, I was unable to find my card within that timeframe, even though I was already at the gate early and fully willing to pay the requested fee. Immediately afterwards, this particular lady closed the gate and I was denied boarding. I consider this behaviour to be disproportionate, distrssing, unprofessional and lacking the minimum flexibility and care that should reasonably be expected, as the issue was not a delay on my part, but a simple payment procedure that I was in the process of completing at the gate. As a direct consequence of this decision, I was forced to purchase a new ticket with Ryanair for the following day, 22/03/2026, on flight FR 879 from Venice Marco Polo to Barcelona, booking reference U2D5S, at a cost of 158 euros. The original ticket for flight FR 866 had cost 20 euros. This situation has caused me significant financial loss, having to bear the full cost of a new ticket, as well as all the inconvenience associated with changing my travel date. Furthermore, I would like to inform you that I have a medical diagnosis of anxiety disorder and depression, as documented in my medical records. The way the boarding process was handled – with a countdown, high pressure and a lack of reasonable alternatives – caused me an extremely high level of stress and emotional distress, with a substantial impact on my mental health during and after the incident. In light of the above, I respectfully request: A full refund of the new ticket purchased for flight FR 879 (booking reference U2D5S) for a total amount of 156.99 euros. Distrssing night in the airport + physiotherapy og 85eu A written explanation of the reasons for closing the gate and denying me boarding when I was already at the gate at the required time and simply trying to locate my card in order to pay the requested fee and what will be done to train staff to act in a professional manner. That you take into account my diagnosed anxiety and depression along with debilitating muscular pain in the neck, when assessing this complaint, given the particular vulnerability this entails in highly stressful situations such as the one described. I kindly ask you to provide a written response to this complaint as soon as possible. Should I not receive a satisfactory reply, I reserve the right to escalate this matter to the relevant aviation, media and consumer protection authorities.

Problems at airport

I am writing regarding my flight FR2432 on 14th of Sept, which was cancelled. I was informed by sms that the airline would arrange accommodation, but I did not receive any follow-up or confirmation. I was exposed to stress due to the lack of care from Ryanair. As a result, I faced several difficulties: β€’ I had someone who was scheduled to take me to the airport the day before; however, they were unable to do so the following day. I had to cover additional transportation costs for the tube and train. β€’ I had to arrange accommodation personally, staying with a friend who had to changed her plans for this day, as no alternative was provided by the airline. β€’ The disruption caused significant stress and resulted in missed medical appointments on Monday. β€’ I paid one extra day for the petsitter. Given these circumstances, I kindly request reimbursement for the transport costs I incurred, as well as consideration for compensation for the inconvenience and missed appointments. I wanted to be in Cracow on Sunday, finally I was on Monday evening as my fligh was scheduled for 15:40 (local time) on 15.09.2025. Emilia Pytlowana

Problems at airport

I am writing to submit a claim regarding the cancellation of my flight from Barcelona to Berlin. Due to the cancellation of the flight, I was unable to arrive in Berlin as originally scheduled. As a result, the hotel reservation I had booked in Berlin was marked as a no-show and the booking was non-refundable, causing me to lose the full amount paid. Because of the flight cancellation, I had to arrange alternative transportation and booked a bus ticket to travel to Berlin. Unfortunately, during this journey my luggage was lost while traveling on the bus. Given that these issues arose as a direct consequence of the flight cancellation, I kindly request compensation for the financial losses incurred, including the non-refundable hotel reservation and the loss of my luggage. Please let me know if any additional documents or information are required to process this claim.

Flight FR4641 (Riga – Stockholm) on 03 October 2023 was delayed for a little over 7 hours, and I arrived at my final destination in Stockholm approximately 7 hours later than scheduled. Passengers boarded the aircraft on time but were later asked to leave the plane and wait at the airport without clear information about the departure time or the reason for the delay. During the delay I received Ryanair delay notification emails and SMS messages with food vouchers. The delay caused a significant inconvenience, as I arrived in Stockholm very late and much later than planned. I submitted a compensation claim directly to Ryanair, but they refused to process it, stating that the Latvian 2-year limitation period applies. I explained that the flight arrived in Stockholm, Sweden, and that the booking was made from Sweden. I live and work primarily in Sweden, but they still declined to review the claim. I have attached the delay notification, voucher evidence, and Ryanair’s refusal correspondence.

Fatalna obsΕ‚uga klienta, pobrano dwukrotnie opΕ‚atΔ™

I was travelling with Priority Boarding, which allows two pieces of cabin baggage: a small personal bag and a cabin suitcase. This was clearly indicated on my boarding pass. The cabin suitcase I was travelling with is a standard cabin bag that I have been using for many years on numerous flights, including multiple flights with Ryanair. In fact, I used the same suitcase on my outbound flight without any issues, and it has always been accepted as cabin baggage. During boarding in Malaga I was unexpectedly singled out by a member of the ground staff and ordered to place my suitcase in the baggage sizer. The suitcase fit inside the sizer, although the front side slightly protruded due to the structure of the bag. Nevertheless, it was clearly within the typical dimensions of a cabin suitcase. Despite this, I was immediately told that I must pay 50 EUR or I would not be allowed to board the aircraft. The situation was extremely stressful because: – boarding was already announced as β€œlast call” at 6:10, even though the gate closing time was 6:30 – Ryanair gates in Malaga are located at the far end of the airport, and I had to run across the airport to reach the gate – I was under significant time pressure and was explicitly told that if I did not pay immediately, I would not be allowed on the flight I was not given any opportunity to calmly explain the situation, adjust the suitcase, or even take a photo showing that the bag fit in the sizer. Instead, I was pressured and intimidated into paying the fee. What is even more concerning is the manner in which I was treated by the staff member. The communication was aggressive, dismissive and humiliating. When I attempted to ask for clarification, I was told that I was being disrespectful, even though I was simply trying to understand the situation. As a woman travelling alone on an early morning flight, this experience was extremely distressing. The way I was treated felt dehumanizing, disrespectful and unnecessarily confrontational. Additionally, it was very clear that other passengers were allowed to board with bags that were visibly larger than mine and were not checked at all. I have photographic documentation showing several of these bags. After arriving in Warsaw, I reported this incident to passenger services at Warsaw Chopin Airport, where it was confirmed that my ticket included Priority Boarding with a cabin suitcase already paid for. This raises serious concerns that the additional charge applied at Malaga airport was incorrect and unjustified. I also informed the cabin crew about the incident once I boarded the aircraft. They expressed surprise and indicated that such a situation should not normally occur. Furthermore, several passengers who witnessed the boarding process also commented that the behavior of the two staff members conducting the boarding appeared unusually aggressive and focused on charging passengers additional fees. I would also like to emphasize the emotional impact this situation had on me. I was travelling alone and the way I was treated caused significant stress and anxiety. At the moment of the incident I was genuinely afraid that I would not be allowed to board the aircraft and would be left stranded at the airport despite having a valid ticket and paid baggage allowance. I was shocked by the way I was treated and by the complete lack of willingness to explain the situation. Even now, several days after the incident, I still feel the emotional consequences of this experience. The situation had a strong negative impact on my wellbeing and sense of safety as a passenger. I have never before experienced such treatment while travelling I travel frequently and have never experienced such disrespectful treatment while boarding a flight.

Hi, upon our arrival to the airport, me and my friend (separate bookings) couldn't do the check-in in the Ryanair app anymore and we needed to pay a fee to do the check-in at the airport (385DKK). When we arrived to the gate, the staff told us there is only one free seat left and I let my friend go while I stayed at the gate where the staff told me I am eligible for a refund of the airport fee + refund of the Ryanair flight cost + 250 EUR compensation. I booked my alternative flight with Norwegian (1239DKK) on the same day myself as Ryanair didn't offer me any replacement flights. I have not yet got any money from Ryanair since then despite me filing several support cases (as in screenshots). So, in total, I needed to pay the Ryanair flight, the Ryanair airport check-in fee (actually I paid two, one for my friend too, but I understand that it is a different booking) and the Norwegian flight, with time loss at the airport (I arrived at 1 pm, 5.5 hours later than with Ryanair) and also with time loss on the support cases. Can you help me, please?

Yesterday, on March 3rd, my husband Tiago, our two children, and I had a return flight to Portugal scheduled for 1:50 PM. We went through security around 11:30 AM and were always attentive, checking the screens to see when the boarding gate would be announced. Around 1:15 PM, while we were on our way to the boarding gate, my 2-year-old son choked on something he was eating and ended up vomiting. I ran to the restroom to change his clothes, and then we hurried to Gate N36. We arrived there at 1:32 PM, and the screen was showing β€œlast call.” There were still passengers from our flight boarding, but we were not allowed to board. We explained the situation and told them that we did not have the financial means to stay there or to buy another ticket, but there was not even a little empathy. They simply did not allow us to board. We stayed at the airport with our children until late, trying to borrow money from someone in Portugal so we could buy new tickets for today, March 4th, 2026, and afford accommodation and food. This attitude was truly regrettable.

I arrived about 5 hours before the departure, presented my documents (residence permit and passport) then they asked me to present an E-visa (which I applied for and had) when I presented the E-visa the employee asked me for a security approval, which didn't make sence because the e-visa is an approval to enter Jordan, after an arrgument the check-in lady took a picture of the screen with my phone and it's says (Nationals of Syria who obtained asylum in Italy must have an approval issued by Ministry of Foreign affairs of Jordan). It didn't make sence first of all becase the E-visa is the security approval to enter Jordan and it wasn't the first time I travel to Jordan with an E-visa, the second thing which made me really mad is I AM NOT A REFUGEE in Italy I am a student (I carry a travel document for FOREIGNERS NOT REFUGES issued by the Questora in Rome as it wasn't possible to issue my Syrian passport at that time) and it's written clearly on my residence permet that I'm a STUDENT, the check-in lady ignored all my arguments and said she can't do anything because her boss has already closed my file and denied my boarding. I had to book another transit flight at the same day from Bergamo to Istanbul and from Istanbul to Amman (and there was no problem at all). what made me really really mad is how they treat people they think they are refugees. I pay more that 30000 Euros each year for my education, I wish my story would go public because even if I was a refugee in Italy this is not a way to treat people.

Boarding at Katowice Airport

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding a member of staff from Ryanair at Katowice Airport. At the time of boarding, my daughter was instructed by the staff member to remove all of her belongings from her bag. The employee behaved in a very rude and inappropriate manner towards her. As a result of this treatment, my daughter became extremely anxious and distressed. This situation was even more difficult for her as she was travelling alone. I would like this matter to be resolved as quickly as possible. The way one passenger is treated reflects how others may also be treated, and I strongly believe that individuals who do not demonstrate professionalism, respect, and appropriate conduct should not be placed in positions involving direct contact with passengers. I kindly request that this incident be investigated and that appropriate measures be taken to prevent similar situations in the future. I look forward to your prompt response. Kind regards, Fligth: EVZCJZ - from the Katowice at MilΓ£o Bergamo. Name passeger: Catarina Azevedo My email: isolina1975.costa@gmail.com
