It said on the app that the delay was due to an aircraft change. But when I queried the delay they said it was due to air traffic control- Corfu-Shannon

I had come from Australia to Italy then to Marseille. Travelling for a month during a heatwave is very difficult. I am old and found the experience of not getting my luggage back promptly stressful. The Airtag showed it was at Marseille airport in the early morning but was not delivered until after 2300 that night. The driver then made my husband leave the apartment at night to walk into a busy area to collect the suitcase as he wouldn't deliver to my door. After leaving the airport and arriving in Aix en Provence I had 15 mins on Sunday night to gather a few essentials before the shops closed.- Bergamo-Marseille

This is a situation which arose as a result of a power outage at East Midlands Airport, on Monday 31st August 2026. Check- in was suspended until 5:15am, when my luggage was accepted by Ryanair. The Valencia flight was due to depart at 6:10am. Flight departed, however we were not informed that our luggage was not on the plane until after we had landed in Valencia. We received this information via text message. When we found out our cases had not been put on our flight, we went to the Ryanair desk at Valencia airport. We filled out a form and then was emailed a PIR number later that day. We were told that our luggage would be arriving in Valenica by 10 pm that same day, Monday 31st august. We were also told that our luggage would be delivered to our address in Teruel on Tuesday morning. However, this did not happen and we received our luggage on Thursday at after midday. This is when I discovered that one of my smaller cases and one of my larger cases were damaged. I have been in Spain for 3 days without my belongings, and no clothes, causing me to spend more money on purchasing new items.- East Midlands-Valencia

Good afternoon. Flight FR803 was delayed by more than 3 hours. Instead of 19:35, it departed at 23:09 and arrived at 01:07 the next day instead of 22:15. We sat on the plane for more than 3 hours. We were not offered free water, although as far as I know, water is supposed to be provided for 2 hours. The plane arrived at 01:07, which prevented us from getting home. We live in Bratislava. The last bus was at 01:15, moreover, the plane was still standing upon arrival and they did not let us off. We left the airport at 2:30-2:40. There are no buses to Bratislava at this time. We had to wait until 5:15 in the morning to leave on the first morning bus. We were very tired. This threw our entire schedule off. stayed up all night we are entitled to compensation under Regulation (EC) No 261/2004 (commonly known as EU 261).This is a European Union law that protects passenger rights. It is strictly binding for all European airlines, including Ryanair and Lauda Europe. The great-circle distance between Valencia (VLC) and Vienna (VIE) is actually 1,665 km, which is indeed over the 1,500 km threshold. Because the distance is between 1,500 km and 3,500 km, your compensation tier changes: Compensation Update * Correct Compensation Amount: β¬400 per passenger * Applicable Law: Regulation (EC) No 261/2004, Article 7(1)(b) for intra-community flights of more than 1,500 kilometers- Valencia-Vienna

I am writing to formally and urgently lodge a complaint regarding the distressing events of 19th August, when my family and I were unfairly denied boarding for our flight at Bristol Airport. βAs part of the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower scheme, we were traveling with our 6-year-old autistic daughter. Due to unfamiliarity with airport procedures, we did not receive assistance at check-in. While waiting in the crowded terminal, the overwhelming environment triggered a severe meltdown. βWe made the arduous 20-minute journey from gate 31 to gate 15 while managing our distressed child, arriving a mere 2 minutes after the official gate closure time. βCallous Treatment at the Gate βTo our horror, passengers were still actively walking through the door and boarding the aircraft. However, a female staff member with black hair and glasses blocked our entry. Despite seeing a vulnerable, panic-stricken child and hearing our explanation, she completely lacked empathy and refused us access, telling us to return to the main desks. βThe Financial and Emotional Fallout βWe endured another exhausting 20-minute walk back, only to be escorted to a Ryanair representative by security. Desperate not to ruin our long-awaited family trip, we were forced to pay an extra Β£300 for replacement tickets for the following day, severely depleting our holiday funds. βWhen we flew the next day, every staff member we spoke to expressed shock, stating that the gate agentβs refusal was entirely wrong and that she should face disciplinary action. βWhile the second day's assistance was appreciated, it could not undo the trauma. Our 6-year-old daughter was left crying her eyes out, and to this day, she still talks about 19th August as the worst day of her life. βDemands for Compensation βThe gate agent witnessed a neurodivergent child in severe distress, watched passengers still boarding, and still callously turned us away. βWe are demanding full compensation for the unfair denied boarding, the Β£300 additional cost we were forced to pay under duress, and accountability for the appalling lack of professionalism shown by this staff member. βI look forward to your prompt response. βKind regards,- Bristol-Malaga

We waiting for the flight checked in then the last people including me and my wife and several other people on the same flight told us we cannot go further when gate closes at 11:45 we where already there waiting. We have very strong suspicions that either they over booked the flight given the seats to someone else. And they should never take us out when the gate was still open. We would like our full refund of our ticket and the additional 2 tickets we booked to Manchester airport there would be more expenses for us to reach home. We are absolutely disgusted with the treatment and in a foreign state with language barrier that no one wants to help. I also have travel insurance which I would take action if necessary- Beauvais-Manchester

We where stopped at boarding with several other people and was told we can no longer can board the flight and people in front of us where dragged out from the queue and told we had to get later flight when the gate was still open and they closed the gate early. We have suspicions that they either over booked the flight or it was given to someone else and a group including me and my wife had to be escorted out from the boarding section. Member of staff originally stated that we can get a later flight and free of charge but when we got directed to the service, the staff disappeared and the customer service staff member told us we had to buy new ticket and get a night time flight. We are so disgusted with the treatment we received and without explanation they removed us from the queue before the gate closer time- Beauvais-Manchester

My flight was delayed by 4.5 hours and we werenβt given any explanation on the reasons that caused this delay. We were only provided Β£3.50 vouchers and when I asked for assistance at the desk regarding my options when landing in Cagliari, they werenβt able to give me much info. Same when I have contacted them by chat. They said that each claim would have been treated individually according to each personβs needs. We landed in Cagliari around 2AM in the morning and of course thereβs no public transportation at the time of the night. The only way for us to get to our accommodation was by taxi and we actually chose the cheapest alternative as it would have been easier and quicker to stay in a hotel somewhere nearby.. As I understand, according to Right to Care / Article 9 Expense Claim I should be entitled to have the taxi refunded as there was no other way for me to get to my destination. I have tried to submit a claim on Ryanairβs website but they say that transportation cannot be refunded as the delay of the flight did not require alternative transportation to reach my final destination. Ridiculous! Also, I know I should be entitled to eu261 refund as the flight was delayed by more than 3 hours but they say this delay was out of their control.. i have uploaded a receipt for the taxi (in eur) and the equivalent I was charged in GBP on the card. I hope you can help! Shameful behaviour from ryanair- London-Cagliari

Dear Sir/Madam, On the 25 August 2026 we had a schedule flight from Rome Fiumicino to Paphos Airport with Ryanair flight nr FR1429. We arrived at the airport approximately three hours before departure time, we did the check in and the baggage drop-off normally. However, due to a very long delay at passport control as well as the considerable distance to Gate E60 we were unable to reach the Gate on time and unfortunately we did not board on the Ryanair flight FR1429. We had a total of four checked bags with the following baggage tag numbers: FR(0405)508916 FR(0405)508917 FR(0405)508918 FR(0405)508919. Three of the four bags were removed from the plane and returned to us at Terminal 1 (Arrivals) at baggage claim area 10. However, one of the four bags (the one with baggage tag number FR508917) wasn't at the baggage claim area. The information we have received from the ground hostess of the handling agent of Ryanair at Fiumicino Airport after the control she made, was that our bag wasn't at FCO Airport and that may have traveled to PFO Airport without us. A RIP has been issued for this incident under reference number FCOFR29753 from the ground hostess of the handling agent of Ryanair. I would like to report this incident. The fact that our bag traveled on FCO-PFO flight without us on board is unacceptable.- Rome-Paphos

We originally were flying from Dublin to Paphos but missed our flight, seconds late to gate! We went to Ryanair desk and with their help and out our travel agent luckily got the last 3 seats on Chania flight for the next day the 7th. Our flight from Chania airport to paphos was delayed, im sure over 3 hours although we were left waiting like cattle outside when gates opened for bus to plane. We were given 3 β¬4 vouchers earlier in the night and the attached form which I couldnβt translate. I did contact Ryanair and was told the flight wasnβt delayed but I may have put in original booking ref for Dublin to paphos. I have tried to contact them again through app but doesnβt recognise this booking reference.- Chania-Paphos

We have a 3 year old and due to the flight being delayed we had to get back into the food hall to feed him. Due to this and security, we had to be escorted out of the airport to come back in again, through security and bag check again just to go for food. Which then we had to wait for the food places to re open as they had closed due to us being the last flight. We had been put on the plane already and then told to get off the plane, and then we had to wait for an engineer from Alicante airport- Murcia-East Midlands

I was to fly with Ryanair at 3:45, it was my daughters 12th birthday and she had plans too see her daddy. Our flight was delayed till 17:05. We boarded the plane by 17:35. They announced they were taking off but the plane never took off until 7:45-20:05. My child was exhausted, thirsty, cold & tired. All her birthday plans were cancelled and it was her first time flying, I wanted it to be a happy memory! I had too borrow money too provide necessities for the whole day & I also had to pay a taxi fare off 75β¬, as our lift we had organised, was cancelled! We never got home until well after our original time- Malaga-Dublin

Formal Complaint and Request for Reimbursement β Missed Flight on 29 August 2026 β Booking QYL43B Dear Ryanair Customer Services, I am writing to make a formal complaint regarding our flight to Helsinki from London Stansted Airport on 29 August 2026, booking reference QYL43B. There were six family members travelling together, including my elderly parents, who are over 70 years old and have difficulty walking quickly due to their age. Our scheduled departure time was 13:10. We arrived at Stansted Airport at approximately 10:00, more than three hours before departure. We completed security checks and entered the main departure waiting area well in advance. We waited for the gate number to be displayed. The gate was eventually displayed at approximately 12:18, showing Gate 87. Because Gate 87 was a considerable distance from the main waiting area, and because we were travelling with elderly parents who cannot walk quickly, it took us approximately 30 minutes to reach the gate. We arrived at Gate 87 at approximately 12:50. A Ryanair staff member then told us that the gate had already closed at approximately 12:40 and that we could no longer board the aircraft. We explained our circumstances several times and respectfully requested that we be allowed to board, particularly because the aircraft was still at the gate and we were travelling with elderly parents. Unfortunately, our request was refused. We subsequently found out that Ryanair customer service was located between Gates 40 and 41. We had to walk back a considerable distance from Gate 87 with our elderly parents, which was extremely difficult and distressing. We then waited in the customer-service queue for more than 30 minutes. We were informed that Ryanair could not provide us with another flight until Sunday, 30 August. This completely disrupted our holiday plans. We had already booked accommodation in Helsinki and faced losing money on our hotel and other arrangements. As we could not wait until the following day, we had no practical alternative but to purchase replacement flights from London Heathrow to Helsinki on the same day. The replacement flights cost approximately Β£1,200, and we also paid approximately Β£150 for transportation from Stansted to Heathrow. Our additional expenditure was therefore approximately Β£1,350. This incident caused significant financial loss, stress, inconvenience and embarrassment to all six members of our family. It was particularly distressing for our elderly parents, who had already travelled through the airport and then had to walk considerable distances between the gates and customer-service area. I understand that airlines have boarding and gate-closing procedures. However, I ask Ryanair to carefully consider the circumstances of our case. We were at the airport more than three hours before departure, had completed security, remained inside the airport waiting for the gate information, and proceeded towards the gate as soon as the gate number was displayed. I therefore formally request that Ryanair reimburse us for the reasonable additional costs of approximately Β£1,350 incurred as a direct result of this incident, including: Replacement flights: approximately Β£1,200 Transportation from Stansted to Heathrow: approximately Β£150 Any other reasonable and documented losses arising from this incident. I also request that Ryanair investigate the matter fully, including the time Gate 87 was announced, the gate-opening and gate-closing records, and any available airport/Ryanair records showing when passengers were expected to proceed to the gate. We have retained all six boarding passes, our booking confirmation and receipts for the replacement flights and transportation. We can provide these documents as evidence if required. Our Ryanair booking reference is QYL43B. I would appreciate a written response to this formal complaint and reimbursement request. I hope Ryanair will take into account the exceptional circumstances, particularly the presence of elderly passengers, and resolve this matter fairly. Yours faithfully, Manoj Kumar Shrestha Booking reference: QYL43B Six passengers travelling together- London-Helsinki

We arrived at Last Call and though we were before the 10 minute closing time and the plane was still boarding, the lady at the gate would no longer let us on or two others that had made it at that time. She ignored our pleas to let us run the last leg and make it without impacting ourselves or the take off. We missed half a day with family and needed to fly to Milan instead of Pisa and organise bus and train to make it as early and easy as possible to our destination.- Schonefeld-Pisa

I am absolutely distraught. I have a house near Luca and use your airline a lot. On Tuesday 18th August my mobile broke.I had no access to the following...phonecalls/emails/WhatsApp/Ryanair App/PayPal/online debit card payments. Therefore I could not VERIFY my credentials on any of the above media platforms in order to retrieve my booking reference numbers in order to check-in for my 0615 flight on Sunday 23rd August. I asked my partner back in the UK to call on my behalf to get someone to WhatsApp my mother's tablet but he was faced with a "bot" On Thursday 20th August I went to Pisa airport to pick up my friend and used this opportunity to go to the Ryanair check staff, flagging up THIS EMERGENCY issue, highlighting I very distressed please can you assist and help me in time for Sunday...3days ahead. I asked two Ryanair staff. They took my passport, told me what time my flight was, because I didn't know and said they couldn't help. Because I used to work as a BBC personal assistant to the top department Editorial and guidance. I was in disbelief with this outcome. I then went on your website to see what "Guidance " you have for your travellers when they are faced with an emergency crisis of losing a phone or breaking a phone What alternative steps are there to help with check-in. There is no emergency number, email, point of contact, hence why I was so dissatisfied when asking a Ryanair air employee at Pisa...seriously what I do..I have no phone until I get back to the UK. I feel it utterly unfair that your only resolution when someone is faced with the misfortune, you continue to penalise and capitalise by forcing them to pay for the boarding pass. Back in th3 day you would walk past to the desk, explaining your situation and then be issued with a boarding pass. My phone has smashed, how on earth can I retrieve any information. Where has your compassion and decent common sense gone. I went 3 days earlier to stress my awful predicaments. As you can see from my screenshot on Thursday 18th then Sunday 23rd with a Ryanair operative, even your on-line chat ignored me but the lady tried to help and explained if the person I spoke to at Pisa Airport made a note on my ticket about my broken phone, this lady on Sunday 23rd (Pisa airport) could have issued us with a boarding pass without payment. Instead of paying β¬110.- Pisa-London

I have been messaging Ryanair a lot trying to get compensation. My flight was scheduled to depart Barcelona at 18:25 and arrive in Ibiza at approximately 19:25. The flight was significantly delayed due to thunderstorms/weather conditions. Following the weather disruption, we were informed that the crew had reached their legal duty-time limits, resulting in a further delay. The flight eventually departed at approximately 22:44, resulting in an arrival delay of over 4 hours. During the prolonged delay, passengers were left waiting for several hours and were not provided with adequate food or water. We were required to remain at the airport for the extended period without appropriate assistance or refreshments. Ryanair subsequently indicated that the delay was caused by weather and the crew exceeding their legal working hours. I would like the full circumstances of the delay to be assessed under EU Regulation 261/2004, including whether all reasonable measures were taken to avoid the final delay and whether Ryanair fulfilled its obligation to provide appropriate care, including food and refreshments, during the prolonged delay.- Barcelona-Ibiza

Flight was late arriving to STN. Slot missed for take off. Was told on plane there would be a delay of 20 to 30 minutes due to weather conditions. Didnβt notice severe weather conditions. Them told we had a slot to take off. Plane made its way to run way then told by pilot we had to go back to tarmac due to technical issue with plane and had to wait on engineers to arrive. Eventually they arrived and gave the ok to fly. Was then told by pilot we were waiting on paperwork from engineer. That was received and was then told all flights suspended until further notice. All passengers still sitting on plane with front and rear door opened for air. No food or water was offered to any passengers. We had to pay for water or cold drinks. Only snacks available to purchase. Updated by pilot we were then waiting on slot for runway and there was a backlog of flights up to 4 hours. Eventually given the go ahead to depart approx 12.18 am. Arrived in Dublin at 1.10 am approximately. First email received from Ryanair on 27/08/26 at 20:31 to advise passengers flight has been delayed. Second email received at 23:33 to issue notice we have a choice to change or cancel or flights .- London-Dublin

Horrific assisted travel experience
My husband requires assistance from the airline due to mobilty issues which were caused from a spinal cord injury, the airline were well aware of this, however we boarded the plane using the ambi lift, we were told that we would be boarding from the front of the plane so we chose seats nearer the front so the walk from the plane door to our seats would not be far, however when we got there the plane was boarding from the back, not a great start. Unfortunately due to weather conditions the plane had to be diverted to Barcelona, which we understand weather can be unpredictable, however when the plane landed none of the staff seemed to realise that my husband needed assistance off the plane with a lift, he cannot walk downstairs whatsoever. Nobody seemed to know what to do, they phoned through and the response was the lift could take up to take 2 hours, in-between all this there was steam coming through the vents. I suffer from severe anxiety and there was no way we could have been trapped on a plane for 2 hours, in the end my husband had to sit on his bottom and come down the stairs with help from my son he bruised his bottom the steps were soaked due it being raining, then we had to struggle to get on a bus again my 16 year old had to lift him on and off a bus, then when we actually got to the terminal there was no wheelchair available so we had to again struggle to the nearest seat, there were no assisted reps to be seen, we were just left stranded at passport control, of it wasn't for a police officer who helped us we would def be stranded. This is not acceptable, my husband then spent the whole hoilday in agony with his bottom which as he is a wheelchair user you can imagine the pain he has been in, the bruises were horrendous. We had 3 adults and 3 children and due to this we had a completely ruined hoilday Please ensure we are appropriately compensated- Birmingham-Reus

OK when we arrived, checked in, we were waiting in the airport and about 1 hour before we were to board, they said there was a delay in boarding the plane. We waited and then they said that the flight was delayed initially. Then about 30 mins later they said we would have to be rerouted to Shannon airport. I cannot remember what they said was the reason. We were given a voucher for a meal, but frankly totally inadequate to cover a standard meal, just a snack and then we were transferred to Shannon Airport via a bus. When we got to Shannon we had to book in again and we waited another period, frankly I can't remember how long but our flight did not leave at 7pm as the ticket states. We did eventually arrive in Valencia but about 5 hours later. We arrived in Valencia Spain at about 10.30pm Valencia time. By the time we got to our accommodation, very few places were open so we just managed to find a fast food place to get something to eat just before closing at 11pm.- Cork-Valencia

The flight was significantly delayed. Our scheduled arrival time at the destination was 23:35, but the actual arrival time was 02:50, meaning we arrived 3 hours and 15 minutes late. We were made to board the aircraft and then kept waiting inside for approximately one hour before the flight eventually departed. We understand that the airline considers the delay to be less than 3 hours for compensation purposes, but this does not seem fair given that we were instructed to board and then had to wait onboard, which contributed to the overall delay. Because of the late arrival at 02:50, we also had to pay an additional fee for the shuttle due to our delayed arrival. We would like the full circumstances of the delay and the additional expense caused by the late arrival to be taken into consideration.- London-Dubrovnik

Left my suitcase behind for 2 days, refusing to consider compensation
Ryanair failed to load my suitcase, and did not deliver it for 2 days after my arrival at destination. They then directed me to make a complaint, which I did. Several calls later, fighting through the system to reach a human person, which after the first call became increasingly difficult, I was told I had not registered the complaint in the correct way. I was given the details of Aviation ADR and told to complain through them. This was also the incorrect forum. 9 months after the flight, I have still had no resolution from Ryanair and am unable to reach a human person either on chat or phoneOverall

Ryanair diverted the plane to another airport, resulting in a departure 7 hour late.

Subject: Formal complaint β denied boarding Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing to make a formal complaint about the treatment my family and I received at Malaga on [30/08], in connection with flight fr7915 to [Glasgow pestwick],We were a party of eight, including my father (82), my mother (72) and an 18-month-old infant. Check-in Two members of our party travel on passports that require document verification at the desk, so we were unable to complete online check-in. On arrival I asked your ground staff twice whether we should join the queue on the right, which appeared to be the correct queue for passengers requiring document checks. On both occasions we were told to stay where we were. We queued for approximately one hour and, only when we reached the front, were told that we had been in the wrong queue the entire time. This was the direct result of incorrect instructions from your own staff, and a member of your team witnessed the exchange. The agent who dealt with us was, in my view, unnecessarily rude throughout. Airport check-in fee When we were finally processed, the agent appeared unfamiliar with the procedure and took a considerable time to issue eight boarding passes. I was then charged EUR 210 as an airport check-in fee. I dispute this charge in full. We were unable to check in online precisely because your own process requires this document verification to be completed at the airport. Charging a fee for a step we were never permitted to complete online is unfair, and I request a full refund. Denied boarding and failure to provide assistance By the time our boarding passes were issued, very little time remained. My father has pulmonary fibrosis and cannot walk quickly or far. No assistance of any kind was offered, despite his evident difficulty. We nonetheless reached the gate, where we were refused permission to board. Despite explaining the circumstances at length, we were not allowed to travel. Aftermath We remained at your desk until approximately 01:00 seeking assistance. We were refused any compensation, re-routing or accommodation. I was told the refusal was because we had argued with your staff, and that we are banned from flying with Ryanair permanently. I ask you to confirm in writing whether any such ban has in fact been recorded against us and on what basis. Our checked bags had been removed and left unattended on the ground floor of the terminal. It took us until around 01:00 to locate them. Costs incurred - Hotel booking in Glasgow, forfeited as a no-show: - Car hire (Hertz): - Replacement accommodation: - Replacement travel to London via Amsterdam at peak-season fares: Receipts for each are attached. What I am asking for 1. A full refund of the EUR 210 airport check-in fee. 2. Denied boarding compensation under Regulation (EC) 261/2004. We presented ourselves for check-in within the required time, and the delay that followed was caused by your staff's incorrect instructions, not by us. 3. Reimbursement of the consequential costs itemised above and evidenced by the attached receipts. 4. A written explanation of the failure to provide assistance to a passenger with reduced mobility, contrary to Regulation (EC) 1107/2006. 5. Written confirmation of whether any ban has been applied to me or to any member of my party, and on what grounds. This journey was arranged so that my elderly parents could travel with their family, and the way it was handled has caused them real distress as well as significant expense. I would be grateful for a substantive response within 14 days. If I do not receive one, I will refer the matter to the relevant alternative dispute resolution scheme and to the national enforcement body for air passenger rights. Yours faithfully, Utba Shaikh- Malaga-Prestwick

My flight was cancelled two days before departure. I wasn't offered an alternative flight and had to cover all the costs myself. Ryanair refuses to reimburse me for the new tickets. I tried to claim compensation on my own, but Ryanair keeps brushing me off. Meanwhile, the Jordanian airline kept flying the whole time, even when other airlines were cancelling their flights.- Amman-Poznan

We (2 pax, Reservation number [NZBP2S]) arrived 3 hours earlier than the boarding time. The Ryanair app showed gate E β and still shows E many days later (screen recording will attach if you need). The airport's departure screens showed no gate before border control, when we enter the border control. Following the app's official information, we proceeded to pier E, which required crossing a Schengen exit border check. Inside pier E there were no flight information screens, and no signage about any gate change. Staff calling names could not be heard in the crowded pier. Our flight's gate was in fact pier B, behind the border checkpoint we had already crossed. Returning airside required a second border control, costing further time, and we missed the flight. The French EES system holds a record of this erroneous exit registration, corroborating our account. The misinformation originated from Ryanair's own app (never corrected) and the airport's failure to provide information airside. During that time, no staffs or signs appeared at the gate E, trying to let us know the gate change, until I found the monitor at the gate E showing another name of the city. When we rushed to go back to the boader control, we still didn't know where to go. I randomly catched a staff to beg her to tell me where we can find the right gate. Then, she took us to the gate B, and that was the first time I know the correct boarding gate. They did not let us get on board, and told us the gate closed. One staff took us to the air tickets changing window, however, there is no appropriate flight on the next day to allow us to catch up with our tour group. Therefore, we have to change to another city, Prague and paid by ourselves. We also have to lose our Budapest hotel night, book an airport hotel beside the Beauvais airport, and have lunch at the Prague airport, and moreover, took 3.5h to take minibus from Prague to Berno to catch up with our tour group. It's a really terrible and misarable experience I have ever been, and I barely not go to sleep on 21st Aug.- Beauvais-Budapest

On 12 August 2026, I was scheduled to travel on Ryanair flight FR41 from Rome Fiumicino (FCO) to Berlin Brandenburg (BER). I completed Ryanairβs online check-in procedure, entered the requested identity document details and was issued a boarding pass. No issue preventing travel was brought to my attention during that process. Only when I reached the boarding gate was I informed that the Italian paper identity card I was carrying could no longer be used for travel following the regulatory change that had entered into force on 3 August 2026. The timing at which this issue was identified had significant practical consequences. Had I been made aware of the problem earlier in the travel process, I would have had sufficient time to retrieve my valid passport from my home in Tivoli and return to the airport. Instead, after boarding was refused, I had to return to Tivoli to collect my passport and arrange alternative transportation in order to minimise the disruption and still reach Berlin on the same day. I sought assistance regarding an alternative way to reach my destination, but no practical same-day solution was provided to me. I therefore purchased the earliest reasonable alternative flight available with Eurowings for EUR 356.30, allowing me to reach my original destination, Berlin, on the same day. As a result of the additional journey and waiting time, I also incurred EUR 47.80 in meal expenses. The total documented additional expenses submitted with this claim amount to EUR 404.10. The relevant receipts and proof of payment have already been provided. I respectfully request reimbursement of these documented additional costs and ask that the particular circumstances of this case be reviewed, including the fact that the online check-in was completed and a boarding pass was issued, while the travel-document issue was only brought to my attention at the boarding gate, at a point when resolving it without significant additional expense was no longer reasonably possible.

We arrived our final destination at 2:10am, they had told us on the plane when we boarded that there was an issue with the plane , all they gave a was a β¬4 voucher which isnβt enough at all for the inconvenience, we had someone minding our pet and they were delayed with other plans and our car was in the airport car parking 7/8 hours more than it shouldβve been- Bergamo-Dublin

I live in Sitges, my final destination. My scheduled arrival was 20:40, but the flight ultimately arrived at approximately 01:10 the following day. There was no longer any viable public transport connections to get home from Barcelona airport. In normal hours I use Renfe or Bus Garraf, but neither operates at a time that would have allowed me to reach Sitges after the delayed arrival and baggage collection. In addition, after the extremely prolonged delay and late-night arrival, I was also in a particularly vulnerable state due to my existing Long Covid chronic condition which provokes Chronic Fatigue. I have medical documentation of this if needed. Please note, the taxi total is 84,25 euros, consisting of the amount 68,25 euros plus the toll 16 euros of that part of the road. Both receipts are attached. As a single parent I am in no position to afford this amount.- London-Barcelona

As you can see from my attachments, all the other flights that were due to take off at 12.30 or around the same time were not delayed even close to the length of the time ours was. The plane we were due to go out on at 12.30 only arrived in from Berlin at 12.19 so an 11 minute turnaround was never going to happen so therefore they obviously missed their slot unlike all the other flights around that time that were only slightly delayed. At no point were we offered as much as even a complimentary bottle of water on board the flight. As my wife and I were in row 16 in the middle of the plane, the food service didn't reach us until 30 minutes before we landed in Knock which meant we went approximately 7 hours without any food. The aeroplane also ran out of toilet roll before the plane even left Palma. Disgraceful service. Please do your best to capitalise a refund for us.- Palma de Mallorca-Connaught

Spent over 30 mins on the phone to try and get information about the delay they told us nothing. The Ryan air help desk were very rude and also didnβt tell us anything. We arrived for our flight and the second we got past security we got a email saying our flight was delayed over 14hrs and wouldnβt tell us why. They gave us β¬4 voucher which only worked in ver few shops at the airport. As a celiac the shops that the vouchers worked in had no gluten free food. I had to buy protein bars in other shops that the vouchers didnβt work. In departures there was no information desk and no one to help or tell us what to do or how long our flight was delayed. Eventually we got an update on the Ryan air app and said there was a technical problem with the plane. We tried to ring Ryanair, love holidays and Shannon airport and they all knew little to none about what was happening.- Gerona-Shannon

The fact that our bag traveled on FCO-PFO flight without us on board is unacceptable.
