We were meant to have a connecting flight in Istanbul from Dubai to Riga. But the flight from Dubai to Istanbul was delayed and resulted in us landing in Istanbul late. We were immediately informed at the airport that our tickets have been transferred from our original flight to Riga to one that is 9 hours later. The original flight to Riga had not set off yet but since our tickets were already transferred we didn't have the option to try to catch our original flight. After going to the Turkish airlines help desk and asking for some sort of help, they offered us to stay at a hotel near the airport until the flight and provided transportation to and from the airport as well as breakfast and lunch. The new flight resulted in us arriving in Riga 9 hours later than planned.

the airline is having problem with tis flight continuously, my family were flying the previous week and had the same issue that the Dubai to istanbul flight delays and they miss the Istanbul Rig flight and they keep them in Istanbul for 13 hours, mine was 10 hours and since my passport had 3 month validity they didn't let me out of the airport to use there hotel and food service< they gave me only voucher for one meal in a fast food that was not convenient so I had to use my credit card launch option, I have lost all the day that was planned in Riga for my events and family meeting for my very short stay in Latvia one day is huge emotional lost.

Dear Lufthansa Customer Relations Team, I am writing to urgently ask for your assistance regarding my three pieces of missing luggage. I am extremely frustrated and distressed because I still do not know exactly where my belongings are or how I can retrieve them. I am a mother of two and am currently expecting, and this situation has caused me an enormous amount of stress and anxiety. My children’s belongings are also inside the luggage, which makes this situation particularly difficult for me. At this point, I am simply asking for reassurance and clear information about where my luggage is and how I can get it back. To explain what happened, we unfortunately missed our original flight. I then tried to find another flight travelling on the same day, but I could not find a suitable Lufthansa flight and eventually had to book a British Airways flight. Before the British Airways flight departed, I realised that I did not have my luggage with me. I had previously spoken to a crew member and understood that my luggage would be reclaimed from the missed flight. Unfortunately, this was not done. When I arrived to travel on the British Airways flight, the lost-and-found/baggage reclaim area in London was already closed, and I was unable to retrieve my luggage before departure. It was only at that stage that I fully realised I was travelling without my belongings. While we were on the runway preparing to take off, I received a call from members of the Lufthansa team in Istanbul. They were trying to contact me regarding my luggage and were asking when I would be coming to collect it from the lost-and-found/baggage area. Unfortunately, because we were already taking off, the phone call was cut off. As soon as I arrived home, I tried to contact the Istanbul Lufthansa team again to explain that I had been on the runway and could not continue the call. I asked them how I could retrieve my luggage. I was informed that my luggage would be sent and that I would need to claim it from Heathrow. This has now left me in an extremely difficult situation. I am currently in Bristol, and travelling from Bristol to London is a significant journey for me. I do not want to travel approximately two hours to Heathrow only to find that my luggage is not there, that it has been moved elsewhere, or that I have gone to the wrong department. I have already tried contacting Heathrow Solutions, baggage/luggage services and other relevant teams. I have also tried calling Lufthansa, but unfortunately some of the contact numbers repeatedly said that the lines were busy and I could not get through. I am therefore urgently asking Lufthansa to please help me with the following: * Please confirm exactly where all three pieces of my luggage are currently located. * Please confirm whether all three pieces are definitely at Heathrow. * Please tell me exactly which department, baggage office or location at Heathrow I need to go to. * Please confirm whether I need any particular documents, identification or baggage reference to collect them. * If possible, please arrange for the luggage to be delivered to me in Bristol, rather than requiring me to make the journey to Heathrow. * If delivery is not possible, please provide me with clear and reliable instructions so that I know exactly where to go and who to speak to before I make the journey. I have attached photographs of all three pieces of luggage, including photographs showing the Lufthansa baggage tags, so that they can be identified easily. I am happy to provide any additional information or documentation required. I am honestly devastated by this situation. I currently do not know where my belongings are, and having my children’s belongings inside the luggage makes this even more stressful. As a mother of two who is currently expecting, I am simply asking Lufthansa to please take ownership of this situation and help reduce the stress I am experiencing. I would be extremely grateful if someone could provide me with clear reassurance today about where my luggage is and how I can retrieve it. If you could do me this favour and either arrange delivery or give me a definite location where I can collect my belongings, it would take a tremendous amount of stress off me. I have tried my best to contact everyone I can, but I genuinely do not know where to go from here. I am asking Lufthansa for urgent assistance and a clear answer so that I do not make a long journey from Bristol to London without knowing whether my luggage will actually be there. Thank you for your understanding and for treating this matter as urgent. I sincerely hope someone can assist me as soon as possible. Kind regards, Anab Ibrahim-Ali Contact number: 07913335688 Booking reference: Z6BFDE Baggage reference: 0|ist4-133380 Flight: 2220 Attachments: Photographs of all three pieces of luggage and their baggage tags

Worst customer service I've ever had

Hello, my name is Wilbur Lewis. I don't know which airport I was at, I only know it was in Istanbul. I was traveling from Germany to Riyadh, KSA, on 10 August, at about 1500. Upon arriving from Germany in Istanbul, I actually had to run from the terminal I landed at, to where I needed to be because my plane landed late. Upon getting there I was asked for proof of my entry visa for Saudi Arabia. I only had an SMS message from the MOI of Saudi Arabia, and was told that this wasn't enough. The Turkish Air agents at the gate (F18) told me that I had to provide more proof, and I didn't know what to do. Out of frustration, I said "You've got to be stinking kidding me!". I want to emphasize that I used no profanity at all towards the employees there. A male employee there repeated what I had just said in very mocking tone, and simply said that the gates were locked, and that I wouldn't be allowed boarding. He even said that he did not care about my situation, or even attempt to offer any sort of assistance. He was very unnecessarily rude and not helpful in the least. A female employee there did try to help somewhat, but wasn't too useful either. After I was denied boarding on my flight, I was sent to an area next to the F1 gate, I believe. Upon arriving there, I was told that I had to produce an official Saudi visa form, and I had no idea how to get this. The people at the service desk did help me to get online, because I did not have roaming service, and I spent the next two hours or so trying to get the information that they wanted, but was told each time that it wasn't enough. They told me a website to go to, but I could not get into that site for whatever reason. I had provided the SMS message I received from the Saudi MOI acknowledging my reentry visa was valid. I had also provided live access to both the Absher app showing my valid visa, and the Absher website showing my valid visa. They kept telling me that this wasn't enough. They said that I had to show them an official government form, with letterhead, to be let on a flight. I showed them that the website that I was told to go to did not allow for me to log on. After this, they did something that took almost an hour, and received the same information that I had already showed them, before they gave me another ticket to continue my trip to Riyadh. This was the absolute worst experience I've ever had flying with anyone, anywhere. The male employee at my original connecting flight (Gate F18) should not be working with passengers. He should have understood that I had just run from one terminal to another, to make my flight, through no fault of my own. Because I was sweating like crazy from running. Secondly, Turkish Air should have clearer requirements on what a passenger needs to have to be able to continue their flight. Third, Turkish Air should have access to a passengers visa information, if it required to fly. The service desk that I was at was initially dismissive towards me, even while I was being very patient and polite towards them. Their attitudes did change towards the end, but they should have remained professional and considerate the entire time. It also didn't help that they were making jokes and showing each other things on their phones, in front of customers needing assistance. Making the think that they were making light of my situation. That was very unprofessional on their part.

Dear AirAdvisor Team, I am contacting you regarding a lost baggage claim against Turkish Airlines ongoing for 37 days without resolution. I request your assistance in recovering full compensation under the Montreal Convention (1999). FLIGHT DETAILS Airline: Turkish Airlines Flight: TK1411 β€” 20 June 2026 Route: Istanbul (IST) β†’ Constantine (CZL), Algeria Passengers: 6 French citizens travelling on French passports (2 adults + 4 children aged 5, 10, 13 and 15) PIR Reference: CZLTK22620/20JUN26/1424GMT Bag Tags: TK748805 / TK749399 / TK749307 / TK749221 Claim Reference: 2026147599 MTV Mediation Reference: MTV-32881-2026 CHRONOLOGY OF EVENTS 20 June 2026: Flight TK1411 lands at Constantine. All 4 suitcases fail to arrive. PIR immediately filed at the airport handled by Swissport. 25 June 2026: Turkish Airlines informs us by email that all 4 suitcases were sent to Constantine Airport on 25 June and instructs us to collect them using our ID. We travel to the airport. Swissport confirms NO baggage manifest exists for our 4 suitcases. We are told to come back and check again. 2 July 2026: Turkish Airlines sends a new email stating a "detailed tracing process" has been initiated. No concrete information provided. 6 July 2026: Turkish Airlines sends another vague email stating they are "diligently continuing efforts". Still no location or delivery date provided. 10 July 2026: One day before the legal 21-day deadline, Turkish Airlines attempts to inform us that a NEW 21-day investigation period is beginning. This is legally invalid under the Montreal Convention. 11 July 2026: 21-day deadline expires. Our 4 suitcases are officially and legally declared LOST under the Montreal Convention (1999). 12 July 2026: We formally file a mediation complaint with the French Mediator for Tourism and Travel (MTV Ref: MTV-32881-2026). 13 July 2026: Turkish Airlines sends the IDENTICAL email to that of 25 June, again claiming our bags are at Constantine Airport. We return to the airport again. Still nothing found. Swissport again confirms no manifest. July 2026 (multiple dates): Turkish Airlines sends at least 5 further identical vague responses with no concrete resolution. Late July 2026: Turkish Airlines offers USD 660 compensation for ALL 6 passengers combined β€” less than 6% of the legally entitled amount. The offer includes a clause requiring us to waive ALL future legal rights against Turkish Airlines and its insurers. We formally reject this scandalous offer. Turkish Airlines then requests purchase invoices for baggage contents. We confirm no invoices are available as is common for personal travel luggage, and remind them that the Montreal Convention does not require invoices to trigger compensation liability. 27 July 2026: Turkish Airlines sends yet another identical vague response: "our review process is ongoing". Today: 37 days after the flight, our 4 suitcases remain lost with no resolution in sight. PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL IMPACT 1. PROFESSIONAL: I had to return to my workplace in Denmark without any of my personal belongings, professional clothing or essential items, causing significant professional embarrassment and additional expenses. 2. FAMILY: Our entire family of 6, including 4 minor children, has been deprived of all personal belongings, clothing, toiletries, toys and personal effects for over 37 days. 3. UNNECESSARY AIRPORT TRIPS: Based on Turkish Airlines' false information, our family was forced to make multiple unnecessary trips to Constantine Airport, each time being told to return later. This caused significant distress, wasted time and additional expense. 4. MORAL PREJUDICE: The consistent bad faith, false information, deletion of our claim history from their portal, and the scandalous compensation offer have caused considerable anxiety, stress and frustration to our entire family throughout this ordeal. DOCUMENTED BAD FAITH 1. False information provided twice about baggage location 2. Deletion of entire claim history from Turkish Airlines portal 3. Illegal attempt to reset the 21-day Montreal Convention deadline 4. Scandalous offer of USD 660 for 6 passengers with forced waiver clause 5. Minimum 5 identical vague responses over 37 days 6. No baggage manifest found by Swissport Constantine EVIDENCE AVAILABLE - Original PIR CZLTK22620 - Complete email correspondence with Turkish Airlines - Formal rejection of USD 660 offer - Swissport Constantine confirmation of no manifest - MTV mediation file MTV-32881-2026 - Detailed inventory of all 4 suitcases - All 6 French passports I am seeking your assistance to recover EUR 11,400 (1,519 SDR x 6 passengers) under the Montreal Convention (1999, updated December 2024), plus compensation for moral and material prejudice. Yours sincerely, Ali Bey Boulkeroua

I am suffering from a herniated disc, and usually I have difficulty with setting and walking for a long time. Before I went to Amman Queen Alia International Airport, I suffered from a severe muscle spasm in my nick with a severe headache which argently forced me to go to the nearist medical care pooint who gave me an injection of muscle relaxent in order to let me go to the airport. At the airport I requested a wheelchair and an aisle seat in order to let me walk and move during the flight. For the second flight from Istanbul to Amman, I also ordered a wheel chair but because they gave me the emergency seat in order to have more spance and since it is not allowed to ask for a wheel chair and use emergency exit seets, so I could not use either the wheel chair nor the golf car to reach my gate fastly. Therefore, I sent longer time walaking toward the gate and even we did the boarding previously and we reched the gate 15 min before the flight time, the employee refused to let us go and catch the flight.

MY AWFUL EXPERIENCE WITH TURKISH AIRLINES AT GATWICK AIRPORT: DELIBERATE UNPROVOKED DISCRIMINATORY AND MALICIOUS DENIAL OF MY FLIGHT TK 1930 AND TK 625 I am a Medical Doctor in Lagos, Nigeria. On 15th of August, I left Nigeria from Lagos to the UK for a two weeks visit via Turkish Airlines. It was a pleasant experience. On 1st of August, 2026 I was at Gatwick Airport with my wife at about 4.50 am for our prebooked return to my country Nigeria. It was a 7.10am flight from Gatwick to Istanbul/Lagos. Our Seat numbers were 10C and 10D on Flight TK 1930. A young man initially attended us but instead of checking in our luggages he ordered us to go to a machine and print out our Boarding Passes and fill an online form through a website NCDC-2026-410EFF76 without which we could not travel. I explained I was a Nigerian going to Nigeria but he was adamant claiming with derision that it was my Government's order. We hurriedly complied inspite of network challenges. We tried to check in again but the man had disappeared from the Counter. A lady in dark grey attire wearing a Hijab and mask covering half her face and looking quite unfriendly ordered us to place our luggages quickly on the weight scale. More than fifty passengers behind us in the queue had been checked in but they were deliberately frustrating us. I politely put up my suitcase and she suddenly turned more aggressive and said something I never heard in my aviation experience; that it was an "oversize" suitcase she could not take; she imposed a Β£91 fine for that as well as my wives two suitcases all of which weighed far less than 22kg. I politely informed her that I came to UK two week earlier with the same Suitcase via the same Turkish Airlines without challenges. She quickly tagged our hand luggages. As my hostess reluctantly moved to pay, she charged aggressively that her system had shut down and we would not travel. It was about 6am. Meanwhile, she hurriedly checked in the luggages of three others that just arrived and then arrogantly told me to go to a Travel Agent in the neighbourhood to book for another flight. All pleas fell on deaf ears. Now, I am stranded in the UK. I seek immediate reprieve from Turkish Airlines to get my wife and I out of London back to my country Nigeria or an immediate refund of my fares and unplanned expenses to enable me book another flight immediately. I also seek adequate compensation for the insult, inconveniences and social discrimination. In all of my flying experience with various airlines since 1980, I have never experienced such discrimination, callousness and intimidation. Thank you.

Denying the boarding has costed me a lot of stress and costs, knowing that I showed up only 5 minutes after the boarding closes and explained my medical situation to the turkish airlines employees, they refused to help or offer me another flight. Their way of talking was also mean and rhey pretend they don't understand English. I had to book a hotel, the taxis back and forth and another flight to Germany, which costed us above 700 Euros. I also demand this amout as reimbursement.

The flight from Mauritius was cancelled at last minute after check in. My connection flight was cancelled to London along with my next flight to Belfast. I was told that I will receive a flight with connection to Belfast the next day. However, this was not provided and the Turkish airline staff says they cannot do anything. I was not provided a taxi to go back home after flight cancellation. Moreover, i booked an initial flight with 3 hours of layover due to health reasons. I was given a flight with 8 hours layover. I was told I can have access to lounge at Istanbul but on arriving at Istanbul, this was declined and I had to wait for 8 hours without any proper place to sit. I had to book my flight from Manchester to Belfast at last minute which was very expensive and I also missed 2 days of work because of the flight cancellation. I was also not provided any meal in the layover if more than 8 hours whilst I was told I will get a meal

Dear Turkish Airlines Customer Relations, I am writing to formally request a full refund for my cancelled ticket. My ticket was cancelled because I arrived late. However, the delay was entirely beyond my control. I was travelling from Tehran, Iran, to Istanbul, and my flight was delayed due to serious security conditions and bombing activity in the airspace. As a result, I was unable to arrive on time. This was not caused by negligence or a personal delay. It was an exceptional and unavoidable situation outside human control. I therefore do not believe it is fair to treat this as a standard late-arrival case or to cancel my ticket without a refund. I respectfully request that Turkish Airlines review the circumstances, reconsider the cancellation, and issue a full refund for the unused ticket. Please confirm receipt of this request and advise me of the next steps. I can provide the ticket details, boarding documents, delay confirmation, and any other supporting evidence required. I look forward to your prompt response and a fair resolution.

Dear AirAdvisor Team, I am seeking your legal assistance regarding a denied boarding incident involving Turkish Airlines. Booking Reference (PNR): URQIWY My itinerary was: * Tashkent – Istanbul * Istanbul – Milan * Vienna – Istanbul * Istanbul – Tashkent Before departure in Tashkent, Turkish Airlines staff carefully checked my passport and Schengen visa. After verifying my documents, they allowed me to check in and board my flight to Istanbul. In addition, the Turkish Airlines mobile application accepted my passport and visa details, allowed me to complete online check-in, and even permitted me to select my seat for the Istanbul–Milan flight. Furthermore, according to my itinerary, my flight was scheduled to arrive in Milan at 23:45 on 3 July. Considering the normal time required to disembark the aircraft and pass through passport control, I would have reached the Italian border after midnight, on 4 July, when my Schengen visa had already become valid. This was another reason why I believed I was permitted to travel. However, after arriving in Istanbul, I was unexpectedly denied boarding on my connecting flight to Milan. I requested a written explanation at Istanbul Airport, but none was provided. Later, Turkish Airlines admitted in writing that I should have been denied boarding on my first flight, not on the connecting flight. This confirms that the airline itself acknowledges that, if there had been any issue with my documents, the boarding decision should have been made in Tashkent rather than after transporting me to Istanbul. As a direct consequence of this situation: * I was forced to purchase an emergency last-minute ticket from Istanbul to Milan for USD 410.10. Stambul-frankfurt-milano.pdf * My remaining flights from Vienna to Istanbul and Istanbul to Tashkent were automatically cancelled without any prior warning or notification. * During the following days, Turkish Airlines repeatedly informed me that my case was under urgent review but provided no practical assistance or timely decision. * Because my Schengen visa was about to expire and airline ticket prices were increasing every day, I was forced to purchase significantly more expensive replacement tickets: * Vienna β†’ Istanbul: USD 341.64. Vienna-Stambul.pdf * Istanbul β†’ Tashkent: USD 274.40. Stambul-Tashkent.pdf My documented additional expenses total USD 1,026.14. Turkish Airlines refunded only the unused portion of my original ticket but refused to reimburse the additional financial losses that resulted directly from the way my case was handled. I possess documentary evidence supporting every aspect of my claim, including: * Turkish Airlines’ written response admitting that I should have been denied boarding in Tashkent rather than Istanbul; * proof that I was allowed to check in and travel from Tashkent; * proof of the denied boarding in Istanbul; * proof of the refund issued for the unused portion of my original ticket; * receipts for all replacement tickets and emergency travel expenses; * correspondence with Turkish Airlines Customer Relations. I respectfully request that AirAdvisor assess my case and advise whether I have grounds to recover my additional financial losses and any compensation available under the applicable international and European passenger rights regulations. Thank you for your time and assistance. Kind regards, Abbos Rasulov

Detailed Description I am submitting this complaint regarding the handling of my journey by Turkish Airlines. I purchased my entire itinerary directly through the Turkish Airlines mobile application. All flights were on Turkish Airlines under a single booking (PNR: URQIWY). One day before departure, I completed online check-in using the Turkish Airlines application. During the check-in process, the application requested my passport and my Schengen visa. I scanned the page containing my valid Schengen visa, and the application accepted it without any warning or restriction. I successfully completed online check-in and received boarding passes for my flights. On the day of departure, I arrived at Tashkent Airport. Turkish Airlines staff checked my passport and my Schengen visa, accepted my checked baggage, issued my boarding passes, and allowed me to board my flight from Tashkent to Istanbul. At no point was I informed that there was any problem with my visa or that I might be denied boarding on my connecting flight. After arriving in Istanbul, I had approximately three hours before my connecting flight to Milan. I arrived at the boarding gate on time and complied with all boarding procedures. At the gate, Turkish Airlines staff suddenly refused to allow me and my travel companion to board the flight. We were informed that because my Schengen visa became valid approximately 15 minutes after the scheduled arrival time of the flight, I would not be allowed to travel. I asked the staff to provide the written rule or official document on which this decision was based. They informed me that such a document existed, but they refused to provide me with a copy or allow me to review it. Instead of resolving the situation, Turkish Airlines staff offered to sell me a new ticket for the following day for approximately USD 1,000. As a result of this decision, I was stranded in Istanbul. I had to purchase food and water at my own expense and was forced to buy a replacement ticket myself. What concerns me most is the inconsistency of Turkish Airlines’ actions. If Turkish Airlines considered my visa insufficient for travel, this should have been identified before my journey began. My visa was: * accepted by the Turkish Airlines mobile application during online check-in; * verified by Turkish Airlines staff at Tashkent Airport; * accepted when I was allowed to board the flight to Istanbul. Only after I had already completed the first segment of my journey did Turkish Airlines refuse to transport me further. Furthermore, I have now discovered that all remaining flights in my booking, including my return flights, have been cancelled. I did not cancel my booking, and I never received any email, SMS, or other notification informing me that my booking or return flights had been cancelled. I respectfully request: 1. A detailed explanation of why I was allowed to begin my journey from Tashkent if Turkish Airlines believed that I did not meet the travel requirements. 2. A copy of the rule or official document that was used to deny me boarding in Istanbul. 3. An explanation of why all remaining flights in my booking were cancelled without any notification. 4. Confirmation of whether my return flights can be reinstated. 5. Reimbursement of the additional expenses I incurred as a direct result of these events. I believe that Turkish Airlines failed to identify this issue before my departure from Tashkent, despite having multiple opportunities to do so during online check-in and document verification at the departure airport. This resulted in significant financial loss, inconvenience, and disruption to my travel plans.

Absolutely Horrendous Treatment of an Elderly Passenger

I am writing on behalf of my mother, a 71‑year‑old passenger on the above‑referenced Turkish Airlines flight, to formally demand immediate action regarding a serious incident that occurred upon arrival at Istanbul Airport (IST). Upon landing, another passenger opened the overhead luggage compartment, causing his bag to fall directly onto my mother’s head. He offered no apology, and despite her visible distress, the cabin crew allowed him to leave without addressing the incident or ensuring her safety. My mother experienced difficulty breathing, severe head, neck, and shoulder pain, and briefly lost consciousness. Rather than provide appropriate medical assistance or gather essential information, the crew placed her in a wheelchair and handed her over to ground staff without any meaningful assessment or communication of the circumstances. The ground team then summoned medical personnel only after informing her she might be billed $1,000. They proceeded to take her blood sample without her consent, refused to allow her to contact her family, and prevented her from documenting the situation. At no point was she treated as an injured passenger deserving care; instead, she was treated as though she were at fault. This conduct is unacceptable, especially toward an elderly passenger who had just suffered a head injury. My mother was entitled to respect, compassion, and competent assistance. The failure of both the cabin crew and ground staff to provide appropriate care raises serious concerns regarding training, protocol adherence, and passenger safety. Passengers expect to be treated with dignity and fairness. My mother received neither. A month later and she is still experiencing headaches, difficulty with her arm movement and is wearing a neck brace. Turkish airlines should be ashamed.

Dear Turkish Airlines Customer Relations, I would like to submit an official complaint regarding my recent travel. My daughter’s ticket was issued as Maheen Navid, while her passport shows her full legal name as Maheen Navid Shafeeq. When we arrived at the airport, we contacted Turkish Airlines and were informed that the name could not be corrected. We were told that the only option was to purchase a completely new ticket if my daughter was to travel. We were under significant stress with a departing flight and had no realistic alternative. As a result, I was forced to purchase a new ticket for 6,684 DKK. I believe this was an unfair outcome. The passenger was the same person, and the issue concerned only an incomplete surname, not a different traveler. I respectfully request that Turkish Airlines review this case and refund the cost of the additional ticket or explain why a simple name correction was not possible.

My name is Ruzimurod Ganiyev. I purchased my ticket through the Kayak booking platform. My passport contained a valid Schengen visa with an official validity start date of 4 July 2026. At the airport, I was denied boarding because of concerns regarding my visa. However, according to the visa issued by the competent Schengen authorities, I was legally authorized to enter the Schengen Area starting on 4 July 2026. Therefore, I respectfully believe that my travel documents were valid for the intended journey and complied with the applicable entry requirements. As a consequence of the denied boarding, I was unable to travel as planned and was forced to purchase new airline tickets at my own expense. This resulted in significant financial losses. In addition, I experienced considerable stress, inconvenience, and emotional distress due to the disruption of my travel plans. I respectfully request that Turkish Airlines conduct a thorough investigation into this matter, including a review of the boarding decision made by the airport staff. If it is determined that I was denied boarding despite holding valid travel documents, I kindly request reimbursement of my additional travel expenses and appropriate compensation for the losses and inconvenience I suffered. I am prepared to provide all supporting documentation, including copies of my passport, Schengen visa, boarding documents, and receipts for the additional expenses incurred. I have always trusted Turkish Airlines for its professionalism and high standards of customer service. I sincerely hope this matter can be resolved fairly and promptly. Thank you for your time and attention. I look forward to your response. Yours faithfully, Ruzimurod Ganiyev Phone: +998 91 501 9395 Email: White.ruzik@gmail.com

Description of the issue I purchased a Turkish Airlines ticket for the route Tashkent – Istanbul – Milan. Before my journey, I successfully completed online check-in through the Turkish Airlines mobile application. During online check-in, the application scanned and accepted my Schengen visa, allowed me to complete check-in, and assigned seats for both flight segments. On the day of departure, Turkish Airlines staff at Tashkent Airport checked my passport and Schengen visa, accepted my checked baggage, issued my boarding passes, and allowed me to board the flight to Istanbul without any warning that there was any issue with my travel documents. After arriving at Istanbul Airport, I had approximately three hours before my connecting flight to Milan. I arrived at the boarding gate on time and followed all boarding procedures. At the boarding gate, Turkish Airlines staff stopped both me and my travel companion and refused to allow us to board the aircraft. We were told that our Schengen visas became valid only 15 minutes after the scheduled arrival time of the flight in Milan, and therefore we would not be allowed to travel. The staff informed us that there was an official document explaining the reason for the refusal to board. However, when we requested a copy of this document, they refused to provide it. Instead of offering a reasonable solution, Turkish Airlines representatives offered to sell us new tickets for the following day for approximately USD 1,000. As a direct result of this situation, we were stranded in Istanbul. We had to purchase food and drinking water with cash while waiting at the airport, lost an entire day of travel, suffered significant stress, and were unable to rest or sleep properly while trying to arrange alternative transportation. My main concern is the inconsistency in Turkish Airlines’ handling of my travel documents. My visa was accepted during online check-in, verified again by Turkish Airlines staff in Tashkent, and I was transported to Istanbul without any warning. If my documents were considered insufficient for travel, this should have been identified before my journey began, not after I had already completed the first flight. I respectfully request reimbursement of the additional expenses I incurred, including the cost of the replacement ticket and other reasonable expenses, together with a written explanation of why I was permitted to begin my journey and only denied boarding after arriving in Istanbul.

We arrived at the airport one hour before the scheduled departure time, but the check-in agent told us she could not check us in because it was too late and all passengers had already boarded. I was traveling with my son and asked her several times why we could not be checked in. She repeatedly said that it was too late and everyone was already on board. I then went to the ticket office, where another staff member rebooked us free of charge on the next available flight, which departed at 00:30.

Technical problems

We were on the plane (it boarded about an hour late). We were sat there for approximately 45 minutes when the crew asked everyone to deplane because it was too hot in the cockpit. The outside temperature in Amsterdam was only around 21Β°C, so this was clearly an operational/technical issue on Turkish Airlines’ side and not caused by extreme weather or force majeure. After deboarding, Turkish Airlines rescheduled the flight (TK1958 AMS–IST) for reboarding at 17:55. We received multiple SMS updates from TK INFO confirming the delay on our TK1958 flight and the new departure time, and later messages stating we could make free ticket changes or refunds due to the disruption. Unfortunately, there was confusion at the airport because another Turkish Airlines flight was departing around the same time. We went to the wrong gate. By the time we realised the mistake and reached the correct gate, boarding had closed and we had missed the flight. We immediately went to the Turkish Airlines help desk. Staff rebooked us onto a flight on 4 July 2026. This caused significant stress, extra waiting time at the airport, and disruption to our travel plans. We are travelling on PNR RGAR5J (original ticket for 2 July 2026 AMS–BSZ). We have all the SMS notifications and the new electronic ticket.

I am writing to formally express my concern regarding the unfortunate issue of lost luggage that my family and I experienced during our recent travel with your airline. We were on flights TK059 and TK1833, reference booking number UQ226U, from Bangkok to Paris on the 17th of June 2026. Upon our arrival, we were disappointed to discover that our luggage had not been delivered. It was 3 pieces of luggage for 2 passengers, and there was a total delay of 9 days. All luggage had priority tags as we were traveling business class. The absence of our belongings has caused us significant inconvenience, as we are currently in a foreign city and reliant on the items that were packed in our luggage. My lost luggage contained medical supplies for my mother, who had just undergone surgery before traveling on this trip. The airline didn't provide the best service; it was slow, and I didn’t get anyone to contact me as promised by an agent from Turkish Airlines via WhatsApp. It has been very difficult, we went back to the airport repeatedly to follow up on the case. I really hope you can help me get compensation from them. I believe I even spent more money on the receipts I have provided, but this is my first time facing such a difficult situation.

On 20 April 2026, I traveled with Turkish Airlines from New York (JFK) to Yerevan (EVN) via Istanbul. My checked baggage did not arrive at my final destination in Yerevan. I immediately reported the missing baggage upon arrival and a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) was created. Turkish Airlines later confirmed that the baggage was considered lost and requested that I submit a detailed inventory of the contents and their value. On 09 May 2026, I submitted the completed inventory form and all requested reimbursement documents. Since then, despite multiple follow-up requests through Turkish Airlines' baggage and customer feedback systems, I have not received a final decision regarding my reimbursement claim. Hi, Our flight from Houston to Istanbul has been delayed multiple times after we had already arrived at the airport, checked in, and were waiting at the boarding gate with our four children. After waiting for nearly three hours, around 11:00 PM we were informed that the new departure time was unknown and that the flight had ultimately been canceled. As a result, we had to retrieve our luggage, take an Uber, and return home. The following morning, we received an email advising that the flight was rescheduled for 2:00 PM. We again took an Uber to the airport, only to be informed that the flight had been canceled once more. We were then redirected to another location (Hilton near the airport) with our children and all our luggage. When we requested a hotel voucher, we were advised to make our own arrangements and submit the expenses for reimbursement afterward. Please find attached the Uber receipts dated May 22 (airport to home) and May 23 (home to airport) for your reference. Thank you for your assistance, and we look forward to your guidance on the reimbursement process.

My original booking was scheduled to depart from Manchester to Lagos on 15 June at 22:55. However, the airline subsequently changed my itinerary to 14 June at 22:55. While I received an email notifying me of the schedule change, I was not informed that the revised itinerary included a 24-hour stopover in Istanbul, which required me to obtain a Turkish visa. Upon arriving at the airport to travel, I was informed that I could not board the flight because I did not possess the required visa for the extended stopover in Istanbul. This issue arose solely because the airline altered my original itinerary and introduced a transit arrangement with additional visa requirements that were not applicable to my original booking. Following the denial of boarding, I contacted your customer service team immediately on the same day to seek assistance and to make a formal complaint. However, I was informed that it was too late at night for any resolution to be provided at that time and that nothing further could be done. As a result, I was left without any practical assistance or alternative travel arrangements, which added significantly to the inconvenience, stress, and disruption caused by this situation. As a direct result of the airline's actions, I was unable to travel and suffered significant inconvenience, stress, financial loss, and disruption to my plans. Had I been properly informed of the visa requirement or offered a suitable alternative routing, I would have taken the necessary steps to avoid this situation.

I contacted Turkish Airlines to request for compensation as per EU law however the airline kept providing me with vague answers despite my numerous exchanges to explain to me the reason behind the delay and why I'm not entitled to compensation. As a result, I escalated the matter further to the Italian Aviation Authority (ENAC) and in fact they got back to me saying that indeed they will proceed against TUrkish airlines for failure to comply with Regulation n.261/04. Influence by other flights

My flight TK78 from Miami to Istanbul (IST) on May 19, 2026 was delayed by 50 minutes. Upon arriving in Istanbul, I was denied boarding for my connecting flight TK1083 (IST–BEG, departing 18:55, arriving 19:35 on May 20), despite having been checked in for the flight. I was informed that my seat had been given to a passenger on standby. I would like to make the following point clearly: both flights were operated by Turkish Airlines. The delay on TK78 was the airline's responsibility, and it was therefore within their knowledge that passengers from that flight would not be able to reach the connecting gate on time. Despite this, no accommodation was made to hold the connection or protect checked-in passengers' seats. As a result of the denied boarding, I was rebooked onto flight TK1081 (IST–BEG), departing May 21 at 07:45 and arriving at 08:25, a full day later than originally scheduled. I was present at the gate at 18:45 on May 20, on time for the original departure, making it unambiguous that the missed connection was caused entirely by the airline's actions. While Turkish Airlines did provide dinner, hotel accommodation, and transport to and from the hotel, breakfast was not provided. More significantly, due to the one-day delay caused by the airline, I was unable to report to work in Belgrade on time and missed my shift.

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to request your assistance in submitting a compensation claim to Turkish Airlines regarding my delayed and damaged baggage. My baggage was scheduled to arrive at MΓ‘laga Airport, Spain, on 19 April 2026. However, due to an unexpected delay, I did not receive my baggage until eight days later. During this period, I had no access to my personal belongings and was therefore required to purchase essential daily necessities, including clothing, toiletries, and other basic items. I would like to claim reimbursement for these necessary expenses, and I have retained the relevant receipts as supporting documents. In addition, when my baggage was finally delivered, I discovered that the suitcase had been damaged. Therefore, I would also like to request compensation for the damage to the baggage itself. Photographs of the damaged suitcase and any supporting documents can be provided upon request. Please kindly assist me in submitting this claim to Turkish Airlines. I would appreciate your guidance regarding any additional information or documents required to process the claim. Thank you for your assistance, and I look forward to your response.

Claim escalated to airline

The suitcase for which I filed a damage claim was returned to me soaked, resulting in damage to both the bag itself and the items inside it. Over the course of several weeks, Turkish Airlines repeatedly requested additional information from me, including a list of damaged items, receipts, and other supporting documentation. Eventually, they asked me to provide a dry-cleaning receipt for the suitcase. I explained that the cost of dry cleaning would exceed the value of the suitcase itself, making it unreasonable and uneconomical, and unaffordable for me. I therefore requested that they either replace the damaged suitcase or reimburse me for its value and the value of the damaged contents. After this, Turkish Airlines informed me that, following an inspection, they had concluded that the damage was caused by me carrying "prohibited items" and that the baggage had been "inadequately packaged". They further suggested that I should be more careful when packing my belongings. This explanation makes no sense based on the facts. The suitcase in question was originally a carry-on bag. It passed through airport security screening and customs inspection without issue. At the departure gate, airline staff asked me to check the bag, free of charge before boarding. There were no liquids or prohibited items inside the bag, as it was a carry-on. Therefore, there is no plausible way that the water damage originated from within the suitcase. I had informed the airline of this since the day one of filling the claim. Furthermore, I checked two other pieces of luggage on the same flight, and both arrived without any issues. Only this particular bag was returned soaking wet, which strongly suggests that the source of the water damage was external. I provided Turkish Airlines with photographs showing both the interior and exterior condition of the suitcase, along with a detailed list of the items (as requested) that had to be discarded due to water damage along with the receipts of all items. I also filed a damage report (PIR) immediately upon receiving the suitcase at the airport, where they inspected the bag and took photographs, confirming that it was received in a soaked condition. I formally disputed Turkish Airlines' conclusions and submitted a written response through their claims portal. In that response, I requested a copy of the inspection report on which they based their decision. I also pointed out that under the Montreal Convention, airline is liable for damage to checked baggage and its contents unless they can demonstrate that an exception applies. Rather than addressing these points or providing the requested inspection report, Turkish Airlines responded only by stating that they "value my feedback". When I later returned to the claims portal to follow up, I discovered that my claim file doesn't exist. The case was no longer accessible, and I had received no prior notification by email or through the portal that the claim had been closed or removed. I incurred €300 in losses due to the damage caused by the soaked luggage. The affected items had to be discarded because they remained wet, smelled unpleasant, and could not reasonably be used again due to health and sanitary concerns. Turkish Airlines has never explained what substance caused the bag to become soaked or how the damage occurred. Given the unknown source of the liquid, it was not reasonable to continue using the affected items even if they could theoretically be dried. I am particularly concerned by Turkish Airlines' allegation that I was carrying "prohibited items". This is a serious claim, yet no evidence has been provided to support it. The bag had already passed all required security checks before being asked to check it in by the airline at the departure gate. Most troubling of all is that Turkish Airlines appears to have removed or closed my claim after I challenged their decision, without providing notice, without responding to my rebuttal, and without giving me access to the evidence or inspection report on which they relied. I find this process highly concerning and inconsistent with principles of transparency and fair dispute resolution.
