Unjustified suitcase payment ..unacceptable service
I was at the Athens airport to catch a flight from Athens to Oslo with a connection in Warsaw. I had paid a ticket for a personal item, as did my husband. They let my husband through and he passed through normally. They charged me 75 euros because my suitcase was a bit larger than normal. They didn't let me put the suitcase as shown in the photo in the iron measuring box. Of course, on the next flight from Warsaw to Athens with the same company, I didn't pay anything. They are unacceptable.Overall

The flight from Krakow didn't arrived to Genova, around midnight we were told that another aircraft was prepared for us and it was supposed to come from alternate airport Katowice. After 30mins they have told us that the flight was officially canceled. No reason was given at the time. We arrived at the airport on time even if the there was announced delay of 2h. We got free snacks and hotel was offered to us which we refused since Genova is our home town. We were flying to Krakow to reach my family in Czech, hence we luckily found another flight from Pisa to Prague. Without that we would miss Christmas with family, especially our two daughters 7 and 9 years old.- Genoa-Krakow

Subject: Complaint – Unjustified Airport Check-in and Baggage Fee (Reservation: VRQLHX) Dear Wizz Air Customer Service, I am writing to submit a formal complaint regarding additional charges I was required to pay at the airport for my flight on 19.12.2025, reservation code VRQLHX, passenger Orhan Murić. Although I attempted to complete online check-in, the system did not allow me to do so. Due to this technical issue, I was forced to check in at the airport and was charged an Airport Check-in fee. Additionally, I was charged for cabin baggage, despite the fact that I had only one standard backpack, which complies with Wizz Air’s free carry-on baggage policy. I did not carry any extra or oversized luggage. Because the airport check-in was caused by a system failure and no excess baggage was carried, I believe these charges were unjustified. I kindly request a refund of the total amount paid (85 EUR), as shown on the attached receipt. Please find the receipt attached for your reference. I look forward to your response and a fair resolution of this matter. Kind regards, Orhan Murić Reservation code: VRQLHX

delay / cancellation of flight
Dear Wizz Air Customer Relations Team, I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding the severe disruption, cancellation, and inadequate care provided to myself and other passengers during the delay of our original flight from Bergen (BGO) to Krakow (KRK) on November 17, 2025. My booking reference is 1306264240957566, and I was a booked passenger on this flight. The flight was severely delayed due to technical issues with the aircraft, ultimately resulting in a cancellation and a rebooking onto flight W62036 on November 18, 2025. During the extended wait at Bergen Airport (BGO), Wizz Air staff made specific promises to passengers regarding our rights to care. We were explicitly promised that: Meal vouchers would be provided to all passengers. Accommodation (a hotel room) would be arranged for us to rest overnight while the issue was resolved. These promises were not honoured. Despite the promises, the reality was profoundly different and unacceptable: Meals: Meal vouchers were either not distributed to all passengers or were insufficient. Accommodation: Most critically, no hotel accommodation was provided. Instead, passengers, including families with children and the elderly, were forced to sleep on the floor of the departure gate at Bergen Airport. We were instructed to do this to avoid missing updates, as the staff claimed they would provide constant information. This failure to provide the legally mandated and promised care left hundreds of passengers in a state of significant distress and discomfort for over 24 hours. Compensation Claim This disruption was clearly due to technical problems with the aircraft, which are the responsibility of the airline. Under EU Regulation EC 261/2004, a technical fault is not considered an "extraordinary circumstance" that relieves the airline of its compensation obligations. Therefore, I hereby formally claim the fixed compensation for a cancelled flight as stipulated by EU Regulation 261/2004. The distance between Bergen (BGO) and Krakow (KRK) is over 1,500 km, entitling me to €400 in compensation per passenger. To summarize, I expect the following to be resolved: Payment of €400 in statutory compensation for the cancellation and delay of over 24 hours, as per EU Regulation 261/2004. Reimbursement for any essential refreshments or meals I was forced to purchase out-of-pocket due to your failure to provide them. A formal response and apology for the unacceptable treatment and the breach of trust caused by the promises made by your staff that were not fulfilled. I have attached the confirmation emails from Trip.com showing the original schedule and the rebooking, which serve as evidence of this disruption. I expect a substantive response to this formal complaint within 14 days, confirming the processing of my compensation. If I do not receive a satisfactory resolution, I will not hesitate to escalate this matter to the relevant National Enforcement Body and seek further legal advice. Thank you for your prompt attention to this serious matter. Sincerely, Junior Cyusa Adnan- Bergen-Krakow

Bad Check-in experience and extra charge.
I tried to do the online check-in within the 24 hours of the flight but was unable to complete the process because someone had used my phone number. The computer would not allow me to continue the process. I was able to upgrade a suitcase. But when I got to the gate, they charged my wife and I 48€ each for not doing the online check-in. It was their computer system at fault, not me.Overall

App didn't work for online chech in.
Dear Wizz Air Customer Relations Team, My name is Denis Perović, and I am submitting this complaint regarding a serious issue with the Wizz Air mobile application which prevented me and my travel companions from completing online check-in for our flight Budapest (BUD) – Copenhagen (CPH) on 6 November 2025. Despite multiple attempts, the app continuously displayed that check-in was unavailable and later showed that it was already closed, even though we tried several hours prior to the flight. Due to this technical malfunction, we were unable to check in online and were charged penalty fees at the airport for four passengers, totaling 131,462 HUF (approximately €340). The following invoices were issued as proof of payment: 176909854Z – 32,900 HUF 176917141Z – 16,450 HUF 176873172Z – 16,450 HUF 176707387Z – 21,331 HUF 176623253Z – 21,331 HUF This situation occurred entirely due to a technical error on Wizz Air’s side, not because of any mistake or negligence from us. I have been traveling by air for over 20 years and have completed more than 200 flights worldwide, many of them with Wizz Air. I have always appreciated your company’s affordability and convenience, but I must say that this is the first time I have experienced such a disappointing situation. As a loyal customer, I respectfully request a full refund of the unjustified penalty fees paid at Budapest Airport. All invoices and payment receipts are attached for verification. Please confirm receipt of this complaint and advise on the next steps toward reimbursement. Thank you for your understanding and professionalism. Kind regards, Denis Perović 📧 denisperovic@hotmail.com (on behalf of all four passengers: Nikola Nikolić, Jovan Jovan, Andrija Milovanović, and Denis Perović)Overall

Formal Complaint Regarding Unprofessional Conduct by a Wizz Air Employee
Formal Complaint Regarding Unprofessional Conduct by a Wizz Air Employee Dear Wizz Air Customer Service, I am writing to formally submit a complaint regarding unacceptable and unprofessional conduct by one of your employees at the airport during my recent experience with Wizz Air. On October 27, 2025, at Athens International Airport—both at the check-in desk and later during the boarding process around 09:30 AM. I witnessed and personally experienced extremely rude and disrespectful behavior from a female staff member representing your company. The employee in question was a relatively young woman with long orange hair. Her attitude toward passengers—including myself—was aggressive, impatient, and demeaning. She raised her voice unnecessarily, spoke in a condescending tone, and treated people with blatant disrespect. Her lack of courtesy and professionalism created a hostile and uncomfortable environment for many travelers. Such behavior is not only inappropriate but also deeply disappointing coming from a representative of an international airline. I believe that every customer deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of the circumstances. I respectfully request that this incident be thoroughly investigated and that appropriate steps be taken to ensure that similar situations do not occur in the future. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Best regards, Yulia Gadaev Travel Itinerary: TKDNQPOverall

Food Poising, me and my 2 sons got poisoned
I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding food I purchased on your flight Wizz Air W64731 from Skopje to Basel on 26.10.2025, which caused illness to me and my two sons. During the flight, we bought two cheese sandwiches from your onboard service. The packaging already looked unusual the sandwiches appeared to be “floating” inside the plastic package, as if filled with air and ready to burst, which made me suspicious. However, the expiration date sticker showed “26.10.2025,” which was the same date as the flight, so I assumed they were safe to eat. My two sons each ate half of one sandwich, and I ate the other halves. A few hours later, all three of us became very sick. We vomited several times and felt nauseous for the rest of the day. We have not eaten anything else unusual before or after the flight, so it is clear that the sandwiches were the cause of the food poisoning. This incident caused us significant discomfort and ruined the rest of our day. I request the following: A full refund for the sandwiches purchased on board. An explanation of how this could happen, including information about the food supplier and storage conditions. Compensation for the illness and distress caused to me and my children. Please confirm receipt of this complaint and let me know how you intend to resolve the matter. I am happy to provide further details or medical confirmation if needed. Thank you for your attention to this serious matter. Denied boarding due to the airline’s own overbooking, and still I have not received any fair compensation for the time, stress, and expenses incurred.
Hello, Iam writing to formally express my deep disappointment and frustration regarding the incident that occurred with my flight from Brussels Charleroi to Tirana on October 12th, 2025, scheduled at 20:40 — flight W45134. Although I had a confirmed reservation, I was unexpectedly placed on a waiting list due to overbooking, and ultimately denied boarding. This was an extremely distressing and frustrating experience, especially as it happened without any prior notice or reasonable alternative offered in time. As a result of this situation, I was unable to return to Albania as planned. The next available flight was only on Wednesday, October 15th, since there were no flights on Monday and Tuesday was a strike day, causing me to lose three full working days. While your team offered me accommodation, I was unable to accept it as I suffer from anxiety and could not stay alone in a hotel. I arranged to stay with a relative in Brussels instead. The entire experience was highly stressful and emotionally exhausting, as I found myself in a situation completely outside of my control. In addition to the emotional distress, I also lost a valuable business opportunity — a meeting scheduled for Monday morning (October 13th) with a foreign client, crucial for signing a project contract worth €7,000. The client was due to leave Albania on Monday evening, and because of the overbooking and denied boarding, I completely missed the chance to finalize this contract. According to EU Regulation (EC) No. 261/2004, passengers who are denied boarding against their will are entitled to compensation and reimbursement of all related damages, except in cases of extraordinary circumstances, which clearly do not apply in this case. Therefore, I kindly request that Wizz Air carefully review my case and provide fair compensation, taking into account not only the denied boarding but also the significant financial and professional impact this incident has caused. The standard compensation of €400 does not realistically reflect the extent of the losses and distress I have suffered. Please let me know the next steps and any documentation required to process my claim. Sincerely, Prishila NiniOverall
I am disappointed with the way such cases are handled, especially when a passenger is denied boarding because of Wizz Air’s overbooking.

Problems at airport
What time did you arrive at your final destination? We arrived at 3.30am in the morning. What did the airline tell you, and when? They told us in advance, but we were still waiting for nearly 5 hours at the airport. What care did the airline provide, if any? They gave us a 5€ food voucher How did the incident inconvenience you? Yes, I missed my internal connection in Budapest, and I also got my hand bag stolen from the plane. I lost all my ID cards, 40€ in cash and my expensive pair of sunglasses (150€). Did you miss an event or lose money? Yes extra money spent on food (10€) and a taxi (35€) as I missed my Budapest transport connections- Gran Canaria-Budapest

We arrived at our final destination around 8:30PM, after spending 12 hours at the airport. The airline didn't officially tell us anything. One of the flight attendants said that the delay was due to 'operational problems' after being asked by another passenger as we were boarding the plane. We received 16 euro vouchers to spend at the duty free shops. Spending the whole day at the airport waiting to find out if we'd be able to make it home that day was greatly distressing and frustrating and caused us a great deal of anxiety. Technical problems
After waiting in the airport for 6+ hours for flight W63004, they finally cancelled this flight, reason being that one of the doors couldn’t be used in case of emergency and they were struggling yo balance the aircraft. In fact they boarded us but due to difficulties balancing the plane they cancelled the flight in the end. They took us to the hotel (for 3 hours) only for us to then come back early in the morning for the next flight. They wanted us to board the same plane W63004, with the same technical issue with the door. They struggled to balance the plane, and at which point I started panicking. They gave us barely any updates for almost 24hours, and they struggled with a door. So i got off the plane and booked a different plane which was scheduled to depart at 11:30pm on Sunday. I was too scared to fly with W63004 due to the technical difficulties that they had, and frankly as a customer I do not believe they handled the matter properly. In fact, this problem made the news back in Romania, as one of the passengers was a Romanian celebrity. Due to this entire ordeal I ended up spending 30+ hours in the airport, which had a very bad effect on me and my holiday. I almost missed the hotel check-in for my Holiday in Romania.- London-Bucharest
