Jettime Flight Compensation Rules
If your Jettime flight is delayed, cancelled, overbooked, or if you miss a connection, you’re protected by Regulation EU261, meaning you can get up to £520 per passenger for flights that qualify.
Jettime Flight Delays & Compensation
First, the amount of compensation you get depends on the distance of your flight and the time you arrive at your destination. If you arrive at least 3 hours late, here’s how much you could receive.
- Flights less than 1,500km - Up to to £220 (€250) per passenger
- Flights between 1,500 and 3,500km - Up to £350 (€400) per passenger
- Flights over 3,500km - Up to £520 (€600) per passenger
If your delay lasts for 5 hours or longer, you also have the option to request either a refund for the unused parts of your ticket OR a rebooking to your destination. You might also be eligible for a cash compensation.
Always ask the airline what caused the delay, and begin collecting supporting documentation in case you need to file a compensation claim later.
How Jettime Will Help You at the Airport
In addition to cash compensation, you’re also entitled to care and assistance at the airport.
If you’re waiting at the airport because of a delayed flight, Jettime will assist with food, refreshments, and access to free communication. Not only that, but if your delay ends up lasting overnight, you can get a free, one night hotel stay and related transport.
Jettime Cancelled Flights
If Jettime cancels your flight, you can only get compensated if you were informed less than 2 weeks before your scheduled departure. If your flight is cancelled by the airline more than 2 weeks ahead of time, you won't be able to collect cash from Jettime.
If your flight is cancelled less than 2 weeks before departure, you will receive up to €600 (£520) per passenger based on flight distance.
No matter when your flight is cancelled, you are still owed the choice of a refund for the unused part of your ticket or a rebooking.
Don’t accept travel vouchers: If Jettime offers a voucher in place of a refund, be sure to read and fully understand the details. Vouchers are likely to have restrictions, like short expiry periods and blackout dates. Also, accepting a travel voucher can eliminate chances for cash compensation.

What About Missed Connections?
You can get flight compensation for a missed connection, as long as it was caused by an earlier flight delay or cancellation on the same booking. Basically, if you just arrived too late for boarding because you were having a meal, you will not get compensation.
Denied Boarding and Overbooked Flights
Very rarely, Jetime will oversell their flights. This means you might be denied boarding as a result. If this happens, you are owed a refund OR a rebooking to your destination. In addition to this, you are owed compensation up to €600 (£520) based on the distance of your flight.
You Won’t Receive Jettime Compensation if…
If your flight was interrupted because of extraordinary circumstances, then you will not qualify for cash compensation, but you will still get the care and assistance at the airport. Extraordinary circumstances and uncontrollable situations that the airline cannot prevent or avoid, like severe weather, natural disasters, and air traffic control restrictions.
