Denied boarding

Staff are not trained on customer service. They do not have any consideration or empathy to even give an ear to listen to what you have gone through. Namely Deepali Shinde and Asha Howal. We were helpless and they could not provide any solutions other than "it's not my problem".

Very disappointing experience with ...

Very disappointing experience with Air India ground staff. I was at the airport to help my brother and his wife, who is pregnant, along with their child. Naturally, a pregnant woman cannot manage heavy luggage, and one person cannot handle two large trolleys alone. I stepped in to help them, expecting basic understanding. Instead, two female ground staff members were extremely rude and unprofessional. They were shouting, giving very bad looks, and passing unacceptable comments such as blaming “people like this” for flight delays and saying that “they don’t have a brain.” One of them even made comments about how a man should be stronger and handle everything alone. This kind of attitude is shocking and disrespectful. They showed no empathy at all toward a pregnant woman and a child. Rather than helping, they stood there shouting and making rude remarks. This behaviour was embarrassing and completely unnecessary. I have travelled with many other airlines, and none behave this way. Other airlines are polite, supportive, and especially considerate toward families and pregnant passengers. Sadly, this experience with Air India ground staff was the worst. This kind of behaviour seriously damages the image of the airline. Staff should be trained to be polite, respectful, and humane — not rude and judgmental.

Inconvenient and expensive flight time changes

Air India changed its flight times between JFK and Mumbai making it impossible to make the connections and requiring new tickets from other airlines on both sides of the flight.

NEVER FLY AIR INDIA

I would recommend everybody to never use Air India again unless you can not avoid it. Here is the background for that advice: I’m a United Airlines Platinum member, and a Star Alliance Gold member. I bought a fully refundable business class return ticket from Delhi to Kathmandu. January 13th I had a chance to fly into Kathmandu another way, so I called Air India to ask how I could change the return ticket to a oneway KTM – DEL. They told me to cancel the return ticket and bye a new business class ticket oneway – and they assured me that I would get all the cost of the return ticket ($1,400) refunded. So, with all of the above in mind, you would think everything was good. However, today 5 months later I have not received a penny from Air India. I’ve had numerous calls, where they every time ensured me that the money was on the way, but to no avail. I had two cases created; one I was advised to create myself on Air India’s website. I never got a reply – they just closed the case after three weeks. So, if they treat Platinum/Gold members who purchase refundable business class tickets like that, my only recommendation is: NEVER FLY AIR INDIA.

All passengers were on the...

All passengers were on the plane and ready to take off when the pilot informed us of a technical issue. After keeping us on the plane for 1 hour they deboarded all of us and we were left to wait at the gate with a 15 EUR food voucher. Around 5 hours later we saw luggage being offloaded and the flight crew leaving. Then we saw 'flight cancelled' on the airport screens. We were not provided with any information about this at any point. We were not assured of being on any alternative flights. There was no direct communication or transparency from Air India. We were sent to a hotel nearby to spend the night. Even on arrival at the airport, the air india counters could not tell us if we would be on the next departing flight, and did not let us check in or provide any information (while letting people who were already on that flight check in). Finally after a 3 hour wait and a lot of chaos some of us managed to check in our bags and get new boarding passes. After another 2 hours we managed to get on the plane.

I arrived at my destination(Bangalore)...

I arrived at my destination(Bangalore) on 20th as against 16th March 2022. The airline did not send any email confirmation of cancellation due to the Strike at Frankfurt airport by the security persons which caused my boarding denial . The airline rebooked me onto the flight after 4 days(only after putting lot of pressure) which caused disruptions and inconveniences to my trip planned , missed a family function that was depending my presence which lead to loss of the money paid for the event planned at the destination. The service of the airlines was very bad and the persons were rude. I also lost 4 days of my paid leaves since the days were registered as holidays with my employer and caused disruptions in my plans even at the source location.
