ITA Airways Reviews: Unified Rating

Verdict: "Good onboard service and modern planes, but struggles with frequent delays, lost baggage, and poor customer support."

Out of 31,890 reviews, comfortable Business Class seating was consistently mentioned as one of ITA’s greatest strengths especially on their newer Airbus A350s. Passengers enjoyed the more abundant personal space as well as the professional and friendly cabin crew. Numerous reviews stated that ITA crew went out of their way to ensure comfort during flights. As well, ITA was praised for their more budget-friendly pricing on trans-Atlantic flights and their use of newer aircraft on longer trips. Many passengers also spoke highly about the direct connections available from their hub in Rome. Conversely, many passengers complained about delays and poor communication as well as unhelpful ground staff. Difficulty getting help with baggage mishandling and long lines also figured prominently among the reviews. Interestingly, many passengers wrote that ITA’s app and website had issues with linking tickets and using the frequent flier program. Lastly, many customers mentioned limited in-flight amenities in Economy class and frequently lost and delayed baggage as problems of note for ITA.
