Flight cancellation

My flights OS292 and OS795 on 02 March 2026 were cancelled on the day of departure. I was rebooked and arrived in Larnaca at 23:05 instead of the scheduled arrival at 16:30. I would like to request compensation under EU Regulation 261/2004.

Flight delay

My flight was delayed for more than one hour due to a ground problem, and the onboard service was extremely poor. I was skipped during meal service, drinks and snacks were barely offered during the 8+ hour flight, and the staff communicated almost exclusively in German, which made me feel excluded and unsupported. Because of the delay I missed my connection to Krakow, even though the airline knew about the situation. At Vienna airport, customer service was overwhelmed – I had to wait about an hour just to get basic information, and I was rebooked onto a flight more than 9 hours later. This caused me severe stress as I urgently needed to see my sick mother. The lack of care, empathy, and professionalism from Austrian Airlines made this one of my worst travel experiences. I do not recommend flying with Austrian Airlines and sincerely hope the airline improves how it treats its passengers.

Rude behavior of cabin crew

I would like to express my feeling regarding the behavior of cabin crews of Austrian Airlines in flight n. OS 872 in May 2nd 2025 from Tehran to Vienna. I was in rush to reach Tehran airport and I just wearing a T-shirt since there it was hot. I didn’t think about taking a jacket. When I was in plane, I was feeling really cold and I asked for a small blanket. Surprisingly enough the cabin crew refused to give it. They said a stupid reason that they requested to wash all blankets and they don’t have any to offer. For Austrian airline this is really a nonsense reason to provide because they all know there is a climate change and they shall be equipped. Honestly I am really disappointed with this behavior. In my second flight from Vienna to Paris, when I asked for blanket, they provided it without any problem. So I consider such discriminatory behavior toward Iranian passengers since I was treated proprely in internal Europe flight (vienna to Paris). Also sometimes during landing I will have ear pain. In flight OS872, I asked them if they can provide any nose drops to help in the case of pain. In a rude manner, they said if u know u have issue with your ear, you should have taken your own medicine. I was not in normal mental condition (due to the fact that my dad passed away) to remember all this thing. That’s why I asked for that. Unfortunately, the behavior of cabin crews was really rude, how much does it cost for such airline a small nose drops!!!? And it was the last time I will use this airline and I will write this review wherever I can to inform people.

Because the initial flight from...

Because the initial flight from Stockholm to Vienna was delayed one hour I missed the connection to Iasi. After waiting around three hours to get in touch the airline's customer service in the airport they offered me a flight the following day on 22:20 which I declined. Later on the same the airline sent me a few emails to check-in on different flights which also I declined. I decided to get a train from Vienna to Brasov (Romania) and I arrived at home on 2 days later in the afternoon. The airline didn't provide any care, more than this the customer service seemed to be annoyed by dealing with so many claims because of disruption.

My flight was on Saturday...

My flight was on Saturday morning. I received an e-mail that my flight was cancelled on Friday evening 7pm. The reason for cancellation wasn't stated in the e-mail, and so I assumed it on the side of the airline. I booked a train ticket, unfortunately the train left early, so I ended up going by bus overnight, arriving to my destination about 10 post the original arrival time. After contacting the airline, they said the flight was cancelled due to extraordinary circumstances and they can't offer the compensation. The inconvenience was huge because of a full day missed with my family and needing to travel overnight by bus.

My delayed flight caused me...

My delayed flight caused me to miss my connection to New York. From New York I had booked a bus to Ithaca, which I also missed because of the travel disruption caused by the original delay. Since I did not have my suitcase with me (it was checked to my final destination) and therefore no change of clothes, I had to buy a light sweater in Vienna.

Flight was cancelled TLV-VIE by Austrian (OS). Unable to connect to VIE-ORD on Austrian. Had to book two one-way tickets on El Al (connecting to JetBlue at JFK) instead. Itinerary TLV - JFK - ORD. Arrived at destination at 21:35, over 6 hours later than original schedule.
