I got a meal voucher at the check-in desk in airport for 15 Euros. I didn't have any other contacts with the airline and the voucher was enough for one drink only.

Flight delay

My arrival at the destination was delayed by 39 hours due to a delay in my initial flight. I'm officially entitled to compensation, which I didn't receive because Air Arabia offered vague answers. The entire correspondence dragged on for 4 months without any resolution. Air Arabia sometimes took 2 months to respond!

Cancellazione del volo

No refund for a flight that was cancelled due to war. They only give you the possibility to book a new flight, but they keep the money for the flight that never left the airport.

Misleading and contradictory responses

Air Arabia handled this refund issue very poorly and in a deeply misleading way. My original booking was cancelled by the airline, I rebooked with the same airline by paying extra on top of the existing amount, and that booking was cancelled as well. I then submitted the official refund request form clearly asking for the full amount to be returned to the original payment method. Their agent later confirmed in writing that this would be done and even quoted the amount, only for Air Arabia to later change the story and try to push voucher-style handling instead. It has been inconsistent, deceptive, and unnecessarily exhausting. No customer should have to chase this hard for money tied to flights the airline itself cancelled.

Refused cash refund for honeymoon flights through an active war zone — Booking Ref: 6N***FC

I booked honeymoon flights (Istanbul → Sharjah → Malé) for May 2026 through Air Arabia's official website. The transit hub — Sharjah, UAE — is directly within the zone of the ongoing Iran-US-Israel armed conflict. Iran has issued explicit threats targeting the UAE, airspace has been operating in "exceptional" mode, and multiple governments have issued travel advisories against the region. I sent a formal legal notice citing Turkish Consumer Law (Law No. 6502), the Turkish Code of Obligations (Articles 136 & 138 on impossibility of performance), and Air Arabia's own force majeure clauses — demanding a full cash refund of AED 4,947.49 to my original credit card. Their response? A generic, copy-pasted reply about standard cancellation fees and store credit. Zero acknowledgement of the armed conflict. Zero engagement with the legal grounds raised. They want to charge AED 200 per passenger per sector as a "cancellation fee" — and lock the remainder as Air Arabia credit, usable only on future Air Arabia flights. Credit I have absolutely no intention of using, given that their only hub is in the middle of a war zone. This is not a customer service failure. This is a company exploiting fine print to profit from passengers who fear for their lives. I am now pursuing a credit card chargeback and filing formal complaints with the Turkish Directorate General of Civil Aviation (SHGM) and the Turkish Consumer Arbitration Panel. Avoid this airline. When it matters most, they will hide behind their terms and leave you with nothing.

I recently booked a flight with Air...

I recently booked a flight with Air Arabia as I was leaving Dubai. The ticket price was reasonable. However, my experience at Sharjah Airport was disappointing. The check-in staff were unprofessional and did not treat passengers with proper respect. Many staff members were using portable weighing scales and seemed focused on imposing excess baggage charges on passengers. Even laptop bags and ladies’ handbags were strictly counted within the cabin baggage allowance, which was unexpected. This is the first time I have encountered such a situation. Advice to other passengers: Please carefully read your booking details and ensure your luggage complies with the allowed weight. Be aware that the total cabin allowance may include your cabin bag, laptop bag, and handbag combined (for example, 7 kg + 3 kg combined limit). Laptop bags can easily exceed the limit, which may result in extra charges. In my case, I had to pay 500 AED for excess weight on my laptop bag. Additionally, some valuable items from my cabin baggage had to be discarded at the airport due to weight restrictions, which was very frustrating.
