January 12, 2026 American Airlines...
January 12, 2026 American Airlines Well for starters we had a flight 5820 that was due for departure at 11:02 a.m. we arrived at 10:07a.m. and we were told we could not board due to our luggage load time onto the plane was 3 minutes past the time for the luggage to be placed onto the plane ( really 2 bags ? ) And some planes do not leave at the set scheduled time. So they rebooked us for another flight. So we waited out our time for the next departure, 10:07a.m. to 6:10p.m. for the next flight ( flight 6085 ) which now was a 6:10p.m. departure, with a boarding time of 5:40p.m. ( gate 3 ) which turned out to actually be 5:48p.m. for the boarding onto the plane which did say it was "on-time" so as we are boarding the plane my group was 3rd to board then my Wife and Brother in law, we're part of group 8, as they were boarding there was a slight issue with QR code scanner, and the boarding agent at the Columbia airport was extremely rude and very rushy/pushy, so told my Wife to brighten her screen on her phone which would have taken a mere few seconds she told them to go to the back of the line in, totally dismissing them, my Wife reached into her bag to locate the physical boarding pass and and the other agent took my Wife's boarding pass and handed to the rude agent, and my Wife had the other boarding passes and gave them to her brother. My Wife and My Brother in law were confused, upset and disappointed and it was very embarrassing because she tried to make an example out the situation. The boarding agent mannerism was disgraceful and in my opinion in plain words as a representative of a major airline like American Airlines you represent that airline for the safety of the passenger's boarding to where there experience is a joyful, pleasant, experience, I must add this part of their first time experience on an airplane. And also we traveled from Upstate New York to Chapin, South Carolina for their brother's 60th birthday, which we had a GREAT TIME, but the experience of our flight from Colombia to Charlotte was not the greatest. I do feel that the boarding agent's in Columbia needs find employment elsewhere, this is not how in my opinion that anyone employed at American Airlines represent American Airlines should act/interact with customers I would normally suggest more training on empathy, respect, and courtesy but I feel that would not help, if you traveling on American Airlines you are a customer and should never experience that kind of behavior and there is no excuse for that behavior. I feel like this agent is an embarrassment to American Airlines. I will say Tracy the boarding agent in Charlotte airport for our next flight flight 3037 from Charlotte to Albany, New York was amazing, kind, courteous, and respectful. I do hope American Airlines will look into any issues both negative and positive to ensure passengers enjoy their travels aboard American Airlines. The American Airlines Boarding agent for the flight 6085, gate 3, boarding time 5:40p.m. on January 12, 2026 Colombia Metropolitan Airport made this a horrible and embarrassing experience for my Wife and my Brother in law.
