We had an initial flight...
We had an initial flight booked on the 25th May from Cardiff - Brisbane. This whole flight was booked with Etihad Airways. We had to extend our trip due to being sick, so we called Etihad Airways directly to change this flight. They rebooked us a flight on Wed 1st June at 5.50am on the same route (Cardiff - Brisbane). We turned up at the airport at 4am on Wed 1st June and checked in to KLM (flight to Cardiff that Etihad booked on our behalf). We were told that my ticket was fine, but that my partner's ticket was voided, as 2 tickets had been booked in my name. We were told to call Etihad, but we didn't have international calling on our phones, so begged to use airport phone. Etihad finally answered at 4.30pm and re-booked the ticket for my partner. We then went back to the check in counter at 4.50am (counter was closing at 5.05am) and was told that my partner's ticket was fine, but that my ticket had an issue, and the e-ticket couldn't be downloaded. We were told to called Etihad again, as this wasn't a KLM issue. Etihad answered and refused to re-book my ticket as it was showing as okay on their end. KLM advised it was not okay, and that all they had to do was tick a few boxes to say an e-ticket could be printed. The gate then closed at 5.05am with Etihad refusing to book. We missed our flight as a result.
