Condor Airlines Contact Details: Frequent Complaints & Helpful Tips

Condor Airlines Contact Details: Frequent Complaints & Helpful Tips

Airline Condor had a really good 2023, at least when it comes to punctuality. In fact, Condor topped the charts when it comes to the airlines with the least flight disruptions.

It continues to offer reasonable reliability for its European and transatlantic flights, particularly with the recent expansion of its fleet to include Airbus A330-900s for long-haul flights.

This also reflected the number of complaints related to canceled, delayed and overbooked flights. In comparison, Condor had only one complaint in the whole of 2023 in the UK.

Claiming your flight for compensation from Condor is very easy. To get started, you need to follow three short and simple steps:

  • Step 2: Select the channel through which you want to claim the flight.
  • Step 3: Then follow the steps listed and complete the process.

Appeal Condor's decision on your complaint

When the airline decides not to agree to the conditions you set out in your complaint, you will have a number of options available to you. We will familiarize you with the most common ones below.

Appeal Condor's decision via the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA)

The most commonly used and popular option when it comes to appealing complaints with Condor is to report the airline to Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). It acts as the enforcement body for passenger rights and can assist in disputes over compensation, delays, cancellations, or other flight-related issues under UK regulations and EU261 law.

If you're in the USA and want to appeal Condor's decision regarding a complaint, you can file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT). They ensure compliance with regulations such as compensation for delays, cancellations, and lost baggage under U.S. law and international agreements.

Appeal Condor's decision through the courts

If you decide to appeal Condor's decision in court, it is important to be aware of the financial risks. If you lose, you will have to pay not only for your legal representation, but also for the airline's legal costs!

Appeal Condor's decision via Online Dispute Resolution (ODR)

Your last option when it comes to appealing the decision of Condor is to use ODR - Online Dispute Resolution. It's basically an EU-funded organization that allows you to resolve your dispute with Condor in a neutral environment.

Technical problems

Oct 4, 2024
We were already late boarding the plane. After sitting in the plan for a longer time the pilot tried to start the engine. One caught fire. He shut it off and trued again. After the fire startet again he told us we all have to leave the plain with busses and said it will take 25min to get the other plain. After a long time in another part of the airport (two hours) we were able to board the new plan. We took off with a 4h delay and arrived at MIA at around 11:30pm

We left Cancun two days later at a flight scheduled at 4:30 am, therefore could not even attend the business lounge as it was not open. In Frankfurt we received a hotel voucher as we missed our connecting flight and had to stay overnight. We arrived on Saturday rather than Thursday.

No reason given

Sep 29, 2024
I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with the handling of Condor flight DE 1135 from Corfu, Greece, to Stuttgart, Germany, on 28 September 2024. My partner, Mr. Dieter, and I, Mr. Bodo, were checked in for our business class flight, and after passing through security, we waited at the gate. Initially, the flight was delayed, but shortly after, we received a notification on our mobile devices informing us that the flight had been cancelled. What followed was a distressing experience for both of us and other passengers. We were left stranded at the airport with no Condor representative present to assist us. When we sought help, we were rudely told to collect our luggage and leave the premises. As German citizens traveling abroad, it was highly unsettling to be abandoned without any support or guidance. We were expected to arrange for transportation and accommodation ourselves, with no compensation offered. Upon attempting to seek compensation under EU Regulation 261/2004, I was further frustrated by being asked to wait three days to file my complaint. This delay is incomprehensible given the circumstances and the urgent need for assistance at the time. My call to your contact center left me feeling helpless, as no solution or support was provided. The unprofessional behavior exhibited by Condor during this incident is utterly unacceptable, particularly for business class passengers. As a result, I can assure you that Condor has lost a loyal customer. However, I expect full compensation for the forced layover, including the costs of the hotel, taxi fare, meals, and the significant mental distress caused to both my partner and myself.

Influence by other flights

The flight I was on the next day was late in arriving in Frankfurt Germany that caused me to miss my connecting flight to Rome and was rebooked to a later flight. When I arrived in Rome my luggage was missing.

Just a poor flight experience from the get-go

Review Premium & Business Condor DE2029 SEA - FRA Sunday 15 September 2024 This was an unusually poor flight experience on Condor. Your records will show, that many things did not go right. Just a few points here to show that the entire crew did not go the extra step under the circumstances. Some members looked very tired after 2 hours and did not work as a team (here beverages, there food already). they looked like they had a long party night, (or just a rough schedule before). However, their demeanor looked like they did not want to be here (at least in Premium) and partially in Business according to my wife as well. Just one round with beverages (water), skipped the sleepy passengers and never returned. No snacks offered, although this would have been badly needed since... the entertainment system did not work from the beginning, when we entered the plane. The safety procedure showed by crew was not synced at all. I know that passengers don't usually pay attention, but this is one of the most important displays for the entire flight. The crew knew that something was not up to standard on this flight, so knew the captain. No word was mentioned to the passengers. Until some passengers were tired of it and asked some crew members (who were annoyed by the constant single questions) to have the captain make an announcement for all on the plane. We hardly ever saw the flight attendants ever again during the flight. Worst crew. No will, effort to make this already late and miserable flight any better. Boarding was a catastrophe. Passengers in need (disabled) or with kids were offered to board first, only to wait 20 minutes in the tube with no seating, updates and crying babies and toddlers. Disabled passengers were in misery before could could enter the plane. UNACCEPTABLE!!! In Business Class same picture, but even worse (my wife booked Business since she is disabled, myself in Premium) ... the expensive seats in Business did not work!!! What a waste of money for the the tickets. Again, unacceptable. During the flight, the crew closed the rear galley curtains to cut off passengers from "their' area - not the very rear (which is normal to have their privacy), but the curtains before the bathrooms and no one was allowed to wait there. That caused a big commotion and head shaking among passengers wanting to use the bathrooms there. It's been chaotic the the aisles, because people had to wait there (in the tight aisles) and get in and out to the bathroom. What a disastrous behavior of the crew. No feeling what's necessary in the situation of an already very poor flight experience. Everybody of the crew should ask themselves if they are in the right area of their profession. What a mess!!! Older people next to me were freezing, since it's been very cold and the air con was very noticeable blowing onto us. Upon request to turn down the ccold air, nothing happened and they saw themselves in need of using thick scarves to protect them from getting sick on the plane. Everybody around me was saying the same. Poor decision making to not have checked the electrical systems and servers. If checked, knowingly pressed on and left the passengers in the dark about the situation on a 10 hour flight. Because of this flight alone, Condor will have lost very many paying future customers. These technical issues happen, but the way it was dealt with is unacceptable and throws Condor's newly built up better reputation back for many, many vears. We are seriously thinking to request compensation for not offered services on board, which we paid for. We flew Condor quite frequently over the last few years and were positively surprised about their improvements - which includes service and equipment. We sincerely hope that Condor will respond to this complaint. And we will take into consideration to make every effort to make known what airline Condor indeed is and what service its customers can expect. Sincerely, Karin Anderke & Olaf Lenkeit

M flight from PHX to FRA DE 2027 was delayed by over 90 minutes which caused me to miss my flight FB 438 from FRA to SOF. Additionally, this delay caused great distress to my 1 year old daughter who could not stop crying due to being overtired and long wait at PHX airport. When I landed in FRA airport, I did not have sufficient time to make my connecting flight to SOF. I went to Condor's service desk in FRA Terminal 1 after I missed my connecting flight due to Condor's delay. Condor Airlines refused to rebook me and my 1 year old baby on the next direct flight to SOF. Instead they rebooked me on a flight to SOF via BEG airport - flights JU 353 and JU 116. Due to this change of flights, I arrived at SOF airport at 3:20am on Sept 14, instead of the originally booked arrival time of 9pm on Sept. 13. I was delayed by over 6 hours, and my 1 year old baby was exchausted and crying inconsolably. Condor Airlines assured me the bag would be transferred. When I landed in SOF airport with JU 116, my checked bag never arrived. Condor Airlines does not allow me to book a claim with them, as they were not the last flight that handled my luggage. However, I missed my connecting flight as a result of Condor's unexplained delay from PHX to FRA in flight DE2027. As a result of my lost bag, i had to purchase basic clothing for my 1 year old baby and myself for a few days, and will potentially have to purchase more clothing if the lost bag does not arrive by Sept. 18.
