The flight was canceled...

The flight was canceled at first for 4 hours, second time was delayed for 3 hours without informing about it. We arrived in Madrid at 2 AM. We missed one evening in Madrid, which was planned to see the city on vacation (we had only two days in Madrid).

We 6 tickets total 3 bought...

We 6 tickets total 3 bought by me and 3 bought by my mother in law. flight was supposed to leave at 17:00. the flight was canceled around 16:30. nobody gave us a reason, we expect it was due to weather conditions or snowballing of other delayed flights. after calling aireuropa they gave us new flight same day at 21:05. that flight left only after midnight i think around 00:30~. so total delay was 7 hours.

The flight on 18th was suppose...

The flight on 18th was suppose to take off that day, then the airline said that the departure day will be move to the next day and it Neve happened!..On September 20th i finally toke the airplane to Madrid.( 2days of delay)... ridiculous!

The first flight was due to depart...

The first flight was due to depart at 12 but ended leaving at 15 in the afternoon, so we could not make it to our connection that was due to depart at 07 and reach Munich at 09, thus we had to wait for another flight leaving at 15 hours from Madrid. So in the end we reached our destination about 8 hours after the designated time: 17:30 instead of 09 hours in the morning. The pilot offered his most sincere apologies for the delay but did not provide further details.

They have replied denying...

They have replied denying compensation but I arrived at my destination 4/5 hours late. Their reason was that I’m not entitled to compensation because I live in the USA. However, it was a flight into an EU country gk an EU carrier (Air Europa)
