Terrible checkin experience

Flight: A3 721 Airport: Lisbon (LIS) This was my first time flying with Aegean Airlines, and unfortunately the check-in experience at Lisbon airport left a very poor impression. The signage at the check-in area was incorrect, and there was no clear queue for economy class passengers. Normally this would be a simple issue to sort out, but the young supervisor on duty made the situation unnecessarily stressful. Instead of calmly clarifying the process, she was surprisingly aggressive and escalated the situation rather than de-escalating it. What made it even more frustrating was that the staff working under her seemed more mature and reasonable, yet she wouldn’t listen to them either. Overall, the lack of clear instructions combined with the supervisor’s unprofessional behavior created a very negative start to my trip. Based on this experience, I would not be eager to fly with Aegean again

Do not fly with Aegean Airlines – my worst travel experience ever!

My experience with Aegean Airlines was terrible from start to finish. On my way to Greece, my flight was delayed for over 9 hours. On my way back, my flight was completely cancelled, and I was stuck in Athens for an extra night, unable to return home. Another flight I had, A3 377 (29 July 2025), was delayed by more than three hours. By law (EC261/2004), I should have received €500 compensation. My travel companion on the same flight received the full amount, but I was only given €250. The airline’s excuses about “technical problems” and “ATC restrictions” were inconsistent and misleading. Even when I showed them proof that other passengers got their full compensation, they still refused to pay me what I am owed. This airline does not respect passenger rights and treats customers unfairly. I am escalating my case to the HCAA, ECC-Net, and every consumer complaint platform I can.

I RECENTLY TOOK A BUSINESS NUMBER. I CALLED AEGEAN AND GAVE THE NEW NUMBER TO SEND ALL NEW FLIGHTS INFO - BORDING - DELAYS - GATES. IS 2:20AM AND I AM HAVING A MORNING COFFEE AT CHANIA AIRPORT WERE I CAME FOR A FEW DAYS VACATION. WHY? BECAUSE FOR THE SECOND TIME. 2 TIMES I FLIGHTED WITH AEGEAN AND NEVER AGAIN - I USE THIS COMPANY SINCE CHILD, THERE “SYSTEM” CONTINUED SENDING THE SO IMPORTANT NOTIFICATIONS TO THE WRONG NUMBER! PS: I EVEN CALLED THEM WHEN I WAS ABOUT TO LOSE THE FLIGHT FROM CYPRUS THAT I WAS THERE LAST WEEK. I ARRIVED AT THE GAME IN TIME. THEY ONLY TOLD ME THAT I CANT STAT AT THE GATE AND THEY HAVE TO “ GUIDE” ME OUT BECAUSE THE NEXT FLIGHT WAS AT 6:00 AM I DONT THINK THERE IS ANYTHING ELSE TO ADD TO THS REVIEW.
