The worst air flight company in the world
This is the worst company ever. It is totally unprofessional to cancel a flight less than 24 hours before the departure and to not offer an option for reaching the destination. The air traffic controller strike was announced a week before the day of the flight and Wizz company did not care to inform the passengers they will cancel the flight. Thus, I has no way to get to the destination and missed the option of free cancellation with the hotel losing a lot of money.Max 120 characters (0)

Excessive Baggage Charges
I have just returned from a holiday in Cyprus which was very enjoyable! The Wizz Air baggage policy at Gatwick however was not!! I was shocked to discover that my bag which I thought might be a little bit longer in the measuring grate was forced to pay £65.50 at the boarding gate! I'm not sure what Wizz Air Baggage policies are at Larnaca Airport but my husband decided to pay the extra baggage charge online on the way home and guess what no measuring of any bags and everyone just walked through with big cases and carry on bags! The people at the Boarding gate just turned a blind eye!! What a waste of time and money as we could have saved ourselves £63.84 on the return flight!! Finally this is the first time I have flown with Wizz Air and it will be the last!!!Max 120 characters (0)

Avoid at all costs!
Absolutely disgraceful service from Wizz Air — avoid at all costs! I recently flew with Wizz Air and it was the worst travel experience I’ve ever had. They completely destroyed my suitcase at the airport — I’m talking ripped to shreds beyond use. And instead of owning up to their mistake and handling it like a decent company would, they told me to take the bag back to my home country so I could get a written statement from a repair shop. Ridiculous, right? To add insult to injury, we had to wrap our broken suitcase in plastic just to get our belongings home — which cost us an extra 25 euros. Then, they made us pay 70 euros for “Wizz Priority” just so we could carry our clothes on the plane. Plus, the written statement cost us another 20 euros. All of this was just to jump through their stupid hoops for a claim. After one month of chasing them down, they offered me a measly 50 euros — and only as Wizz credit (so I’d have to fly with them again — like I’d ever want to!). To top it all off, the 50 euros they promised me is actually only 47 euros in the Wizz account. Absolute scam. Wizz Air’s customer service is non-existent, their baggage handling is incompetent, and they clearly don’t care about their customers. If you value your belongings, your time, and your sanity, never fly with Wizz Air.

I had already checked in, and on that day, I had to wait for three hours on the plane before they suddenly made us disembark, citing a maintenance issue. Then, they told us the next flight was scheduled for 4 PM the following day and that they would provide a hotel. However, we had to wait at the airport until 3 AM, and due to the large number of people, I had to leave and book a hotel myself. The next day, I was informed of another delay, but my schedule was too tight to take the flight since I would have had to return immediately upon arrival. As a result, I couldn’t use the hotel I had booked, which cost 950 AED. However, Wizz Air claims that I am not eligible for compensation because I didn’t check in, even though I actually did.Max 120 characters (0)

Katowice -Catania flight was diverted...
Katowice -Catania flight was diverted from Catania to Palermo. We landed in Sicily at 2:30 pm but the bus transfer to Catania arrived at Palermo Airport only at 10 pm without any kind of assistance (updates, water, food). I reached Catania after 1 am of 17/02/2025 obliging me to miss events and important meetings in Catania. In addition, the other flight companies were providing buses transfer in time allowing other passangers to come back in Catania at a reasonable time while Wizzair didn't support us at all. I'm asking to be refunded for all the troubles i went thought due to your lack of support and efficiency. Volcano eruptions can't prevent Wizzair in supporting passengers anytime.Max 120 characters (0)
NEVER FLY WITH WIZZ AIR!
I had an extremely disappointing experience with Wizz Air and would strongly caution others against flying with them. My flight (W9-5303 from Luton to Amman on October 8, 2024) was cancelled with absolutely no notification. I didn’t receive any email or message informing me of the cancellation and had to call their customer service to confirm the status of the flight—an unnecessary hassle that caused a lot of stress and confusion. To make matters worse, Wizz Air’s handling of my compensation claim was equally abysmal. Despite being legally required under European Regulation 261/2004 to respond to claims within 30 days, I waited an incredible 73 days for a response. When they finally replied, their vague explanation cited "extraordinary circumstances" without providing any clear details or evidence. Their lack of transparency, failure to communicate basic information, and disregard for legal obligations demonstrate a shocking level of incompetence. No alternative arrangements or accommodations were offered promptly, leaving me to fend for myself in an already frustrating situation. I would rather pay more to fly with a more reliable airline than ever risk flying with Wizz Air again. This was by far the worst airline experience I have ever had. Save yourself the stress and book with a more reputable airline.Max 120 characters (0)
