Early in her career, she wrote dance criticism as an intern at the Village Voice in New York and at the San Francisco Chronicle.

Interests and Passions

Joanna has a profound love of history, dogs, draft horses, painting, and audiobook narration. To date, she has recorded over 100 audiobooks and has been heard across the U.S. and globally in branding campaigns for Volvo, Window World, Stena, the Golf Channel, Adam & Eve, NBC Universal, and HGTV. In her spare time, she enjoys painting, singing, and baking pies for people in the community. She lives with her husband and 4 dogs in rural Nova Scotia.
