Rachel from Saudi Arabia (British Airways BA 1389 Flight cancellation)
November 16, 2022, 5:07 pm

My wife and daughter were booked on a return flight to Riyadh with British Airways. They were going to start off in Manchester, fly to London and then onto Riyadh. The flight was due 10:50, arriving in London at 12, giving plenty of time to catch their flight to Riyadh. The day before at around 4pm UK time BA sent an email to say that the flight from Manchester to London had been cancelled, no reason was given. I had to cancel the flight from London to Riyadh and book an Emirates flight which was more expensive as they had to get back to Riyadh as planned. I have complained to BA twice now and they have said that it was due to a lack of HAL security resources and we are not eligible for compensation. They offered a 100Euro E voucher for one of their flights and say they are not responsible.
