The customer service team changed my brother's booking without his or the lead passenger's (me) consent just hours before the departure of our flight. He had received his boarding pass and was on his way to check in, and for some reason his name couldn't be found on the self service check in or by the check in desk, so the customer service team had to be called. The customer service team (Diego) had changed my brother's booking to someone else's name and was unapologetic when I expressed my concerns and stresses around this. I am the lead passenger and I never requested a change of booking as I had already paid previously for a name change; I had essentially lost out on a further £50. This left us both severely distressed as I am an ADHD sufferer and struggled tremendously with the outcome of his actions and the lack of help and support provided by them to make this situation as easy as possible. We also had to find money to book him on the plane (which was initially payed for by myself) , and we are both unemployed students so we had to ask friends for money to get him home. I don't understand how this was allowed to be changed - how can someone who was previously on the booking but removed by the lead passenger be able to change herself back onto the booking without a lead passenger's consent? Surely this is against your terms and conditions? Diego had confirmed multiple times that the other passenger's behaviour was not normal, and that she had kept coming back and forth from their desk before allowing and giving her the option to change the booking in the first place. Please could you get back to me at your earliest convenience with a valid reason as to why this has happened, otherwise I would like to make a formal complaint.
