Flight delayed several times for over 4 hours than eventually cancelled. Booked on an alternative flight but was too late to get a hotel so ended up sleeping in the airport overnight with two young children. Hotel offered was over 50 minutes away so there would have been no point in going as we have needed to be back within an hour. Total delay to arriving in Luton was over 12 hours. The flight was cancelled due to the runway failing. All other airports were operational so this is a failure at the airport. Once we also arrived in Luton, it took two hours for our baggage to arrive. I felt the support from wizzair was terrible especially given we had two children of ages 4 and 1. Also delayed the flight 4 times meaning we were waiting around only for it to be cancelled and being unable to get a hotel as it was too late which was poor on behalf of wizzair.

I was booked on WizzAir flight W6 2207 BUD- LTN at 1835 on 9 June 2022. I received a text at 1659 telling me it was delayed. I then received a text at 1757 telling me it had been cancelled. I complained to WizzAir (PNR 123XUY) and was told it was due to a thunderstorm. However, I was on my way to the airport and the weather had cleared up. I believe it was due to other factors such as lack of aircrew rather than the weather (WizzAir had been suffering from these issues at the time). WizzAir cancelled my flight and refunded me the costs despite me telling them I wanted compensation. I had to book a flight with another airline and arrived back 2 days later and completely changed all my plans. I missed a number of work meetings in the UK and family events but no pre-paid events.

Less than 3 hours prior depature got a message the flight is delays for over 3 hours. There was not any explanation the reason of delay. The boarding pass was not altered, I just got a message from WIZZ about depature delay. Due the late arrival (11pm) to London-Luton I was late for my train to London, and then the coach to Southampton. I had to buy new tickets for train and bus. And have to spent the night (11pm - 5:59am) in airport waiting the train to London. Got home 9,5 hours later then expected. 4 € food cupon was sent at Budapest airport.
