Hello, On the departure day, the airport was very crowded, it took a lot to do the check-in. At the gate, there wasn’t any kind of social distance, people were literally in a queue without any space between. Since covid is still a real threat, I chose to wait at the end of the queue, but suddenly, the gate display changed for the next flight, without any lat call. I immediately went to the desk and the replay was that the boarding was completed. The plan was still on the ground, the Wizzair employee checked but there were only 3 sits available and there were other 5 people in the same situation like me. My opinion is that they overbooked the flight and they hurried up the onboarding without any last call, any notification on their mobile application. The complain we raised to their desk inside the airport was that they can offer us a sit the next flight, only at the same destination, 2 day later(Sept, 10) than the initial flight(Sept, 10) or to pay for another ticket to a different airport. In addition to this issue, I personally suffered collateral loses since the hotel rooms I book can’t be cancelled without a fee and a full payment( around 200 euro I can justify with the booking from booking.com).
