Today, the AirAdvisor family is proud to share the news that every single one of us, across all teams and time zones, has officially completed the GDPR data protection training.

We’ve always said that trust is the foundation of what we do, and this milestone proves it. Safely handling passenger data isn’t just part of the compensation claims process, but a promise we keep. Whether it’s helping someone get compensated after a delayed flight or sharing travel insights on our blog, we make sure every piece of information is handled with care and respect.

What GDPR Training Means and Why It Matters

GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), is the European Union’s gold standard for protecting personal information. It defines how companies collect, store, and use data, and most importantly, how they keep it safe. As the #1 global flight and baggage compensation service, recognised for delivering the best value and holding the best reputation worldwide, AirAdvisor believes that following GDPR is essential, which is why we made sure that each member of our team is properly trained and certified.

The training covered everything from the principles of lawful data processing to how to recognise and respond to potential data risks. Every member of our team learned about data minimisation, user consent, and the importance of transparency when handling sensitive passenger information.

For our clients, this means absolute confidence that their personal details like flight information, contact data, or the details on any supporting documents, are always managed securely and ethically. For us, it means doing the right thing for our passengers and maintaining the integrity that defines AirAdvisor.

Privacy is Everyone’s Job

GDPR training wasn’t just for our claims managers, in fact everyone got involved, including our SEO, marketing, PR, and writing teams. Because when it comes to protecting passengers’ information, everyone has the responsibility to keep data safe.

We dove deep into how data is collected, stored, and used responsibly. So, now, every member of our team knows exactly how to safeguard customer details and spot risks early, no matter what part of the business they work in.

Why Our Culture is Built on Fairness and Trust

Our mission has always been to make air travel more fair for everyone, and that extends to how we protect people’s privacy. Travellers trust us with sensitive information, and that’s not something we will ever take lightly.

This GDPR training actually reinforces what we’ve believed all along: That fairness is about compensation as well as doing right by our customers in every possible way. When people share their personal data with us, they’re placing their trust in AirAdvisor, and we take that responsibility very seriously.

Our Team Cares about Passenger Privacy

We’re incredibly proud of our people for making time to learn, ask questions, and share ideas throughout the process. It’s moments like this that remind us how strong we are as a team, united by a shared goal to protect our passengers and their trust.

Because at the end of the day, the work we do is about people, and at AirAdvisor, people always come first.
