These complaints are the subjective opinion of AirAdvisor members and not of AirAdvisor International Inc. We will try to monitor complaints for compliance (as feasible).
Founded in 1968, Aurigny Air primarily connects the islands of Guernsey, Alderney, and Sark to the United Kingdom and Europe. In fact, Aurigny was the first airline to introduce regular air services between the Channel Islands and the UK to help reduce the islands’ isolation. In 2014, the airline improved its fleet for extra comfort and now operates a fleet containing 3 ATR 72-600 aircraft and 2 Dornier 228 planes.
Unfortunately, no airline is entirely immune to complaints these days. In 2023, in the UK, a total of 2,227 complaints were received. Of these, only 7 (or 0.3%) were regarding Aurigny flights. Although Aurigny flies predominantly within the UK and Channel Islands, there will likely be at least a few more complaints for the limited flights they operate to Europe.
Recent disruptions in Aurigny’s service have prompted a review of the airline’s operations to improve reliability. This started when an Aurigny flight had to turn around and fly back to its departure point even though it was less than 250m from the destination’s (Guernsey) runway, according to the BBC. The widespread problem is evidenced in this statement from the Director of Guernsey’s Chamber of Commerce, James Ede-Golightly:
Something needs to change, the status quo isn't supporting our community and businesses as needed.
Whether you want to make a complaint or need a refund, the Aurigny Contact Us page has the information you need. This has the options for booking issues, complaints or compliments, and the claim form for Aurigny UK261 claims. There is also a general Aurigny contact form that can be used if your problem doesn’t fit into the other categories. There is no website live chat function, but you can use WhatsApp.

To reach the Aurigny customer service department immediately, your best bet is by phone. The department is located in Guernsey and is generally open from 8 AM to 5 PM daily.

Customer service can be reached at +44 1481 267267, and because it’s in Gurnsey, charges may apply.
Alternatively, if you prefer not to talk on the phone, the WhatsApp Aurigny contact number is +44 7436 422214.
Outside of normal business hours, passengers can call +44 1481 267267 between 6 PM and 9:30 PM. If there are severe disruptions, like one due to weather, the hours will be extended.

When you don’t have access to a local phone, need a record of the communication, or have lots of specific details to convey, e-mail is a great option as an Aurigny contact method. Just know that e-mails are not the quickest way to get a response, so if the situation is urgent, you’re better off calling.
Since there is no live chat or digital assistant with Aurigny, social media can be used to draw attention to your situation and sometimes provoke a response you weren’t otherwise getting. Aurigny has a presence on X (Twitter), Facebook, Instagram, and many of the mainstream social media platforms. Reach out here for a potentially quicker response.
Disrupted flight? You might have a right to compensation - up to €600Check Your Flight
Aurigny has a general form to send a message or make a request. This should not be used for any UK261-specific complaints related to flight cancellations and delays. For both UK261 and EU261 (same provisions), it’s complicated since Aurigny isn’t technically based in the UK or the EU. As a result, only flights that depart from either of these areas are covered.
It’s not always easy to go through the claim process for flight delays directly with Aurigny. They may not respond in a timely matter requiring multiple follow-ups and the actual form is quite complicated.
When you don’t want to go it alone or don’t have the time, we can help. Our AirAdvisor airline compensation experts can handle everything with just a few details and documents from you. It’s important to make your complaint in a timely manner to avoid missing deadlines. We can make sure this is all done for you.

These are the items you will need to submit to the airline to resolve your Aurigny complaint:
For the UK261 form, you need to click through from the Contact Us page. You’ll select submit a new request as an individual and then enter all the pertinent details.

Use the online UK261 compensation form with Aurigny. It takes a while to complete and is very detail-heavy. It’s used to determine how much of a payout you will receive based on the type and duration of the disruption. To avoid low offers from Aurigny, check our free compensation calculator.
If you can’t get the form to work, you can always rely on us to submit the claim on your behalf for flight disruptions. Alternatively, we have some templates that can help.
Our bad service complaint template can be used for just that, and we have one tailored to flight delay compensation. We also have one for when you need to request a refund.
Websites have glitches and aren’t always working correctly. In cases when the Aurigny UK261 claim form doesn’t work on their website, you have 2 choices: wait for the issue to resolve or let us do it for you.

Wait times can vary based on volume, but since Aurigny doesn’t receive a very high number of complaints, you will usually receive a reply in 30 days or less.
In England, you have 6 years to file a UK261 claim, but other areas may have shorter deadlines. Check out all the details here.
